Hi guys! I writing this was very hard and I am not ready for writing yet. As of my last appointment, the doctor told me it would take me anywhere from 6 months up to a year to completely recover. I don't get headaches as often so that's good but I still have trouble remembering things. Writing this I had to keep on going back to chapter 30: Wise or Wisecrack to fact check myself. I also had to go through my notes to make sure how to spell Misaki because I forgot. I honestly couldn't remember if I spelled it with an s or z.

Anyway, I apologize for any mistakes. Hope you like it!

Chapter 32.5

Being left at his own devices even though she had given him the grand tour, he decided to explore by himself and familiarize himself with the place. The more he looked around the bigger he thought the mansion was. It was still early in the night when he started feeling hungry and had made his way to the kitchen to make himself something. It was as he was looking for ingredients that he heard the door from the kitchen open. He looked behind him and saw a tall young man with black hair carrying what seemed to be a paper grocery bag walking in. The dark-haired man locked eyes with Kiryu who was surprised

"Who are you?" They both asked at the same time.

"Is something the matter, Misaki-nii?" Misato wearing her nurse uniform from the hospital and a pack of bottled water. She stopped in her tracks when she saw Kiryu. "Call her," she told her brother as she dropped the bottles and went for the attack.

"W-w-wait!"

Not even 2 minutes later Yori ran into the kitchen. She was still on the line with Misaki who had told her about the intruder. What she found was Kiryu with a carrot in his mouth, unable to speak and Misato on pinning him down and she was sitting on his back holding his arms back. Misaki seemed to be calmly putting the remaining groceries away.

Yori started laughing. "You are awesome, Misacchi!"

The short-haired girl looked confused and got up, releasing Kiryu.

"What's going on?" Misato demanded. "Why are you even here?"

Kiryu got up, moving his arms as they were sore. "Who are they, Yori?"

"Who is he?!" Misato raised her voice. "You are bringing men here now? I know you are grown up but-"

"Whoa! Whoa!" Yori exclaimed her face flushing. "Stop that thought right there! I am not- I did not!"

"We're not like that" Kiryu chimed in.

"Onii-chan is the one who made him my bodyguard," Yori explained as she went to grab a glass from the cabinet.

"And you agreed?" Misaki closed the pantry door after finishing storing everything.

Yori walked towards the refrigerator and got herself some apple juice.

"Where is Ren-sama?" Misato asked now sitting on the island as she ate an apple from the fruit basket.

"He went to Sapporo," Kiryu informed them as Yori remained quiet, not looking at either of the dark-haired siblings.

"Yori, why is Ren-sama all the way in Hokkaido?"

"He took Yori's train ticket and went to some meeting, I think," Kiryu answered for Yori who was trying to look away while drinking her juice.

"Ooh!" Misaki laughed. "Misa, pay up! I told you!"

Misa groaned and reluctantly took out some money but as she was handing it to her big brother she stopped. "Wait, she didn't say why yet?"

Kiryu looked confused wondering about the bet. Yori looked less confused but was surprised they bet actual money. Since they were children these two would make bets about certain situations and what would happen; so, she saw it coming. However, they usually would be chores.

"Really, Misa?" Misaki shook his head. "Ren hates paperwork, meetings, all that business talk and we know it. There's no way, he'd agree to it willingly."

"He's a siscon. He might!" His sister countered. "So, Yori…? Tell us."

Yori sighed. She had been worried Misato was mad at her for sending Ren away but looked like that wasn't the case at all. She probably was also tired of Ren mopping around asking for forgiveness and him trying to prove he was sorry.

"So, you remember you told me that old fart was going to the meeting instead of sending his son as usual?" Yori started and she took a seat on the island since it was going to be a bit long.

Kiryu also took a seat next to them after he saw Misaki sit down too.

"You tricked him, right?" Asked Misaki, hoping for that.

"Kinda."

The siblings looked at Yori, then exchanged a look and gaze back at her; now wondering the result of their bet. Misaki had bet Yori would trick Ren into leaving her alone for a few days because of this conference. Misato had bet Ren wouldn't be tricked since he was a genius.

"You outsmarted him into going?" Misato asked a bit incredulously.

"You could say that but I gave him lots of options." Yori said, "I mean, while I am mostly back to normal, I still have trouble thinking hard so it's not like it was a perfect scheme." She reminded them, she was still convalescent of her accident and coma. Her head was still giving her trouble and it's not like the concussion had gone away, it had been bad since she had forgotten stuff.

Kiryu listened attentively since he had been present when her brother had called asking if she had planned it and she had denied it. This was making no sense to him since he had just learned she was bad at lying yet…

"But Ren asked you if you had tricked him?" Kiryu asked trying to make sense of this information. "Did you lie?"

"I have not told any lies. I am not a liar." Yori denied.

"That's true, our Yori is no liar." Misaki started and Yori smiled. "However, she can walk around the whole truth or hide stuff. So, unless it's something specific, she can get away with it." He smirked at the now pouting Yori.

"It sounds bad when you put it that way, Misaki-nii." She stuck out her tongue at him in a childish manner.

"What did Ren-sama asked exactly, do you remember the conversation...? uh, sorry. I forgot to ask your name." She looked awkward now realized they never introduced themselves. "I'm Misato, by the way. That's my brother-"

"Misaki, nice to meet you."

"Oh, Kiryu. Kyosuke Kiryu. Pleasure and sure I think I remember." Kiryu replied. "He called and he was on the hologram and said: 'I know what you did to me.'"

Kiryu and Yori re-enacted the conversation almost 100% to how it happened but the key components where there. Ren had not asked her if he had tricked him and Yori had countered and blamed him for going through her bag and taking her stuff.

Misato was laughing and paid Misaki. Misaki was bowing to Yori while also chuckling.

"I knew it, only you and Mizuki-sama can outsmart him," Misaki said. "This time I wish I had seen it."

"I gotta say, I'm surprised he fell for it," Misato commented. "I mean, it's not like that was the only way to get there. You also had a plane ticket for around this time, right?"

"Yes," Yori nodded. "It was because the time was soon, so it urged him to make a prompt decision. I am sure if he had actually thought about the situation, he would have realized there was no way I would have made it to that train on time unless I skipped out on the tournament."

"It also wouldn't have worked at all if he hadn't searched your back." Misato pointed out just as Kiryu started realizing all the holes in Yori's plan.

"I was sure he would not be able to stop himself," she smiled. "Besides, I would have asked him to go anyway. The people at that meeting think he is more capable than me," her smile vanished. "If I had presented, they would have nitpicked everything even though it is bound to be successful. However, since the one doing the presentation is everyone's favorite, they will greenlight it right away. I am certain." She said although it sounded like she was saying it more to herself.

At that moment her phone rang and she saw it was Ren. She put the phone on her ear since it was not a video/hologram call and he told her the news. Her project, or rather their project had been green-lighted. Although, it was mostly her who did the work she had been asking Ren about it since he was a riding duelist too. He sounded excited, probably after reading the proposal about the project; she was certain he would love to part take on it: Speed World 2.

Thanks for reading! This extra story was not important in the main story but I still wanted to write it. I mean, it is basically going back to chapter 30 and explaining that Yori did outsmart her brother which is obvious. Also once again it points out how she can't lie but has found a way around it but it won't work on people who know her. Ren has been away for too long to notice this. Also, I figured I would point out she knew her little scheme had holes but it worked out because it was something that Ren liked and knew about. However, he is mostly doing it to help her as it ended up in chapter 30. It was just redundant. The things about SW2, well, that because it made sense to me. SW2 came out after the Dark Signers and before the WRGP after all. She's been trying to prove herself to everyone, and she'd ask someone who is a riding duelist and she trusts her brother, so having them take this project on made sense to me.

Anyway, I hope this helped anyone take their mind off what's happening in the world for a few minutes and relax. I know a lot of people are anxious and scare, so this is my way of saying "hang in there!" Hope everyone stays safe, and take care!
