Midoriya quickly looks around for a good hiding spot. He sees an opening to an old decrepit building and races for it.

His feet are silent and quick. He swiftly avoids the loud leaves and frail branches until finally he passes through the crumbling building. He hides behind an old stone wall and peeks over.

The dragon had Bakugo under its claws as it licked his face joyfully. Bakugo chuckled and tried to cover his face.

"Ha Ha sone! Ilgah ilgah! Eafel tufinnal! Heh heh!" He said through a fit of giggles.

Midoriya watched in awe as the chief of the dragon tribe burst out in laughter. Midoriya couldn't help it, thinking it was adorable. He turned away and looked inside the place he had hid. The building was the biggest one out of the ruins. Midoriya's eyes widened when he noticed the old ruin move further down. The pathway was a bit too dark to see. He looked down at his ankle and frowned. It wasn't a smart idea to go exploring with a twisted ankle.

Midoriya bit his lip. Something about the building was just so intriguing. The wind echoed against the walls as though it was calling out. Midoriya decided against it though, for now.

Instead his attention found its way towards an old drawing on the wall. He still heard Bakugo and the dragon outside. He walked slowly towards it. Within the darkness he was able to make out two dragons flying in a circle. A smaller one and a bigger, much larger dragon. His hands gently rested on the rough ridges of the stones. He shivered at the coldness and goosebumps traveled up his arms.

The sound of Bakugou's voice made him remove his hand as if it touched fire.

"What's wrong girl?" Bakugo said. Midoriya peeked over.

The dragon turned away and sniffed the area. Small whimpers left the reptile's mouth as it searched desperately for its new playmate. Bakugo frowned and raised a hand to pet the dragon's head soothingly. He was suddenly more on guard.

"You were with someone before I was here weren't you?" He asked. The dragon whimpered in response.

Midoriya hid once again and slammed a hand on his mouth. He stood rigid and tried to bring as little attention to himself as possible.

This is, until a tiny green dragon flopped down from the ceiling to the floor.

Midoriya stared at the creature with wide eyes. His green eyes held a hidden threat to the dragon. The dragon groomed it's claws casually before noticing Midoriya. It looked at Midoriya, tilting its head in confusion. Why was his human mad?

The green dragon whined quietly and tried to find a way to make his new friend happy. It looked around before it's gaze met a familiar green vest.

Right. By. Bakugo.

Midoriya watched in horror as the green dragon happily trotted up to the article of clothing.

Midoriya tried to reach out and stop the dragon but immediately jumped back in place when red eyes peeked over. His heart thundered in his chest. Did he see? Midoriya hopes the answer was no. Bakugo May have not seen Midoriya but he certainly saw the little green dragon trot up casually to him and the bigger dragon.

"Is this your friend Sone?" Bakugo said, relaxing a bit. He knelt down to observe the dragon. He furrowed his eyes. "This dragon looks familiar," he said. He shook off the feeling before reaching his hand out to the Younger dragon. About to grab the vest the dragon stopped and noticed the human reaching out to him.

It's eyes lit up before racing over to get some affection. Bakugo chuckled and scratched under the dragon's chin.

"You're really young. Must be part of the newer generation," Bakugo said. The dragon nuzzled bakugo's hand. "Well aren't you just an affectionate one? Pretty brave too walking up to Sone so casually," Bakugo said. The dragon purred at the amount of praise. Sone watched the interaction and whimpered. She leaned down to her owner and pushed him gently with her snout. Bakugo chuckled and pet her too.

"No need to be jealous Sone," he said. Noticing Bakugo was done petting him the small dragon raced off to fetch the green vest. Bakugo watched the dragon curiously. The small creature held the torn fabric in its jaws. Bakugo immediately recognized it and glared.

The dragon paused for a mere second before trotting away. His head was held high trying its best to keep the fabric from dragging on the ground, the sight would've been quite comical if Bakugo wasn't so angry at its implications.

Midoriya facepalmed when the dragon presented its gift to the other.

Before Midoriya could say a word though, he was slammed against the wall by a strong hand. The green dragon jumped and raced towards Sone. Sone whimpered slightly seeing his angered owner and trapped friend.

Midoriya grabbed bakugou's wrist, trying to hold himself up. Red eyes glared at Midoriya and he sneered.

"What the hell are you doing here!? How the hell did you escape!? I swear fucking Mina-!"

"Wait! Don't blame Mina! She was just-" a growl interrupted Midoriya. Midoriya winced when he landed on the ground. The blond placed his hand over his face and growled. Midoriya watched anxiously. The greenette moved to stand but winced as shooting pain traveled throughout his ankle. Bakugou watched from the corner of his eye before letting out a frustrated sigh.

"I don't know how you escaped, but it doesn't matter now. You're going back to camp,``Bakugou said. Midoriya frowned and opened his mouth to argue, but stopped after seeing bakugou's sharp glare. The greenette sighed. He knew he couldn't fend off bakugou if he ran.

The chief walked over and grabbed Midoriya by his upper arm. He hauled him up to his feet. With a gasp, Midoriya tried to balance on his good foot before letting Katsuki drag him to a fallen stone pillar.

"Sit. Let me look at your ankle," he said. The greenette hopped up on the pillar and held out his ankle. He looked over and saw the two dragons watching the scene unfold before them. Bakugou brought Midoriya's ankle towards him to examine.

There was slight bruising surrounding the ankle, it was swollen and Midoriya felt the throbbing sensation pulsing through his foot. Gently bakugou pushed against the foot. Midoriya's face flushed at the chief's intense gaze as he looked for a reaction from the greenette. Midoriya's foot flinched away from the blonde and he hissed in pain.

"Any numbness?" He asked.

"No," Midoriya said.

Bakugou reached into a small bag attached to his hip and pulled out a strip of cloth.

"It's just a sprain. I'll wrap it up for now, the tribe doctor will look at it when we get back," he said before swiftly wrapping the wound. Midoriya frowned as he watched the chief work in silence.

"That dragon. It's the same one in your journal," he said.

"Yeah," Midoriya said. He looked over to find that the two dragons were no longer interested in their human interactions and were playing amongst themselves. Bakugo continues to silently wrap his ankle.

"That dragon is the source of your magic. I can see the energetic connection," Bakugo says. Midoriya looks at him in shock.

"Source of…?" Midoriya watched the little dragon crawl on top of Sone's head.

"Then does that mean your dragon…"

"Her name is Vrahsona. Sone for short. She's my dragon. Her name means beautiful flame and she's been the chief's dragon for millennia," Bakugou said. Getting up, the chief grabbed Midoriya by the arm and hoisted him up.

"Anyway. We're leaving. Vrahsona! Get ready we're going!" Bakugou called out. At the mention of her name the older dragon looked at the two.

"Ah wait!-OOF!" Midoriya tried to speak. Before Bakugou could argue back though, he was interrupted when Midoriya was snatched away from him. Wide eyed, he watched sone tackle Midoriya to the ground. Midoriya struggled to get up from under the dragons possessive claws.

"Sone! What are you do-ING..!" Midoriya watched as a green blur hit bakugo in the stomach, causing him to fall back. Sone licked and nuzzled Midoriya playfully, he giggled and laughed at the dragon.

"Hey, calm down hehe," midoriya said.

bakugo groaned and rubbed his head as he looked at the small green dragon. the dragon tilted its head before crawling further up bakugos chest and nuzzling underneath his chin. bakugo huffed and begrudgingly pet the dragon. the chief glanced over at the outsider laughing as the giant dragon nuzzled him curiously.

it was funny seeing as even just the dragon's head was ten times the size of one of the crumbling ruins surrounding them. Bakugo gently rose from the ground, carrying the tiny green dragon as though it were a cat.

Midoriya pet Sone's snout, his hand barely covering a portion of her. Midoriya looked at her with wonder before turning to look at Bakugou.

midoriya watched in awe as the chief gently played with the younger dragon. the dragon lied on its back happily as its stomach was rubbed. Bakugos face was calm as he examined the small dragon's claws.

"Ive never seen a dragon before. They seem to be very important to the tribe," Midoriya said, he bit his lip choosing his next words carefully. "There have been villages being burned to the ground. some of the villagers said that it was your tribe. with dragons,"

there was a beat of silence. Did he speak wrong? Midoriya kept his gaze to the ground.

"HEH!? what the hell are you implying deku!?"

"nothing! I just thought, if you're in charge of the dragons, and you want them to be a secret then why-?"

"did mina tell you you anything!? no ones in cnarge of the fucking dragons!" bakugo let out a sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"The Dragons are the main source of our power. A long time ago the Dragons were hunted and used for their magic. In order to protect themselves they granted magic to a select group of humans they deemed worthy. They were the first members of the dragon tribe.

"Throughout generations the dragons have chosen members of the tribe they've deemed worthy. There has always been an unbreakable bond between a human and their dragon," bakugou pointed to the tiny green dragon playfully gnawing at Bakugou's boot. "That dragon chose you, and granted you with its power. Not only is this rare that a member outside of the tribe was granted such power but it makes me wary of how many others have it as well," Bakugou explained.

Midoriya stared at the dragon in awe. Bakugou rested his face in his hand and stared at the tiny creature.

"Of course I have no idea why he would choose someone as useless as you. Not a wise choice in my opinion," Bakugou said, directing his words at the dragon, which the reptilian ignored.

Midoriya frowned and laid down on the grass watching Sone rest her head. He thought over the Chief's words. Midoriya wondered why the dragon had chosen Midoriya of all people. And why the sudden change in tradition.
