A/N: This is my first ever fanfic so please go light on me. I will treat Black and Hilbert as the same character and that applies for White and Hilda as well.The story is mainly on the games with parts of the manga and parts of my own.
" Hi" is Human speech."-Hi-" is Pokemon speech.Pokemon can undeestand what the humans are saying, but the opposite does not apply unless I mention it in the chapter.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon or any of these characters. They are completely fictional and have nothing to do with me.
CHAPTER 1
The Unova region - filled with Pokemon which fly over the skies, swim through the water and run on land. They are seen in the wild as well as with humans. They bond with humans, play, work and fight alongside them. This region is also the most technologically advanced region. In one of the houses in the peaceful town of Nuvema, a boy with brown hair is seen to be brushing his teeth after waking up from his sleep.
He finished brushing, took a shower and dressed into a white shirt and a blue jacket ober it. He wore black trousers and placed a red cap ith a black Pokeball symbol on his head, covering most of his light brown hair, which was the same colour as his eyes. He then went downstairs from his room to the living room, where his mother was preparing breakfast.
"Good morning Hilbert Black how did you sleep?" asked his mother to which he replied,"Fine mom, uh..., is breakfast ready, 'cause I'm starvin
"Yeah." she replied and a few moments later served the food on the table.He had just started eating when there a knock on his door.
"I'll go get it." said Hilbert and opened the door. Outside stood a man with a parcel in his hand.
"A parcel for Hilbert Black." announced the man. "That's me." replied Hilbert and after signed a document which the man produced, he took the parcel inside his house and closed the door.
"Who was that?" his mom asked him.
"A guy delivered this parcel," he said motioning to the parcel in his hand and continued,"but I don't know who it is from.
"Well, that can wait Hilbert. Finish your breakfast first." his mom ordered.
He obliged and after cleaning his plate, he went upstairs to his room with the parcel and opened it.
Inside was a letter with three Pokeballs.
Dear Black,
Consider this as a gift for your fourteenth birthday yesterday. These three Pokeballs contain the three unique starters of Unova and are for you and your two friends. Choose wisely and meet me at my lab.
Professor Juniper
" Oh gods" Hilbert thought," finally I get to own my first Pokemon. I've been waiting for this chance since I was nine. Finally I will be able to fulfill my dreams of becoming the Champion.I'll have to inform Cheren and Bianca about it."
As if on cue the doorbell rang. Hilbert quickly came down from his room and opened the door, to find his two best friends - Cheren and Bianca - at the door.
Cheren was a calm and collected boy with blue hair, a strand of which always stuck up. He wore glasses and a navy blue jacket on a white shirt and black trousers. He knew every singke thing about Pokemon which you could expect.
Bianca was the exact opposite of Cheren. She was a careless hyperactive girl. Half the times, she didn't even know what she was doing. She wore an orange vest over a white dress with knee-lenght orange socks and yellow shoes. A green hat was plopped on her blonde hair.
"Hey guys, wassup?" asked Hilbert.
"We're good. We recieved a letter ftom Professor Juniper that she was sending three Pokemon to your house and that we should come to your house to choose one each." explained Cheren.
"So have you got the package from Professor Pokemon ?" Bianca asked excitedly.
" Yeah it's in my room. Come in guys."Hilbert answered.
The two friends entered the house and together, the three people went up to Hilbert's room.
"There it is," Hilbert said, pointing towards a desk with a parcel on it. The tops of the Pokeballs were peeking ot of the box.
" Yay!!" Bianca shouted like a three year old and ran up to the box, feasting her eyes on the Pokeballs.
" Bianca, stop being so hasty." Cheren scolded.
" Uh... sorry." Bianca said sheepishly, " But do hurry up. I wanna meet my new partner as soon as possible.I think Hilbert should choose first, 'cause the parcel was delivered to his house. What do you say to that, Cheren?"
"Fine by me." Cheren said, and then looking at Hilbert he said," Go ahaid and choose your first Pokemon."
" Ok," Hilbert mumbled and walked up to the parcel. He picked up the first Pokeball and threw it up in the air. The ball opened in midair and a blue light emerged out of it to land to the ground and materialize into a small pig with a red snout. It's body was mainly orange and black, with black ears and a black spring-like tail with a red ball on top. It opened its eyes and said," -Hello people-".
" This one must be a Tepig, judging from its looks." Cheren said." Its a fire type."
The next Pokeball which he threw contained a bipedal otter. Its face and hands were white in colour, but its body, ears, feet and tail were all different shades of blue. On its stomach was a small scalchop. "- 'Sup fellas ?-" it asked.
" This one is an Oshawott," said Mr. Know-It-All (Cheren)," which is a water type."
The last Pokeball contained a bipedal snake Pokemon. It was a mixture of green and cream colours with two yellow vines sprouting out of iys neck. It had a broad, green tail shaped like a leaf.
" This one must be a Snivy, and its a -" Cheren started, only to be interrupted by Hilbert who said," - grass type, which is pretty obvious considering its the last one left. Now for my choice."
Hilbert scratched his chin trying to decide which one to choose, bit he was constantly disturbed by Bianca, who was telling him to choose quickly and not be a slowpoke.
"Its such a hard choice. All three of them look great for a starter. Tepig has high attack, and HP but everything else os low. Snivy is a better balance of everything. It's attack and HP might be a bit low but the speed, special attack and defense can make up for it. But the best is Oshawott its HP , special attack, attack and defense are all great. It also has a look of determination in it.I've got it!" Hilbert thought.
Hilbert cleared his throat and said," I choose Oshawott."
The said Pokemon jumped into his arms and said,"- Thank you for choosing me master-". Of course, Hilbert could not understand Pokemon language, so he had absolutely no idea what Oshawott was saying.
" Well then, I choose Tepig and Cheren can have the other one." Bianca shouted, while coming forward and grabbing the said Pokemon.
" Hey, since when did you choose my Pokemon." Cheren complained."But it makes no matter. I always wanted a Snivy from the start."
"What do we do now ?" Hilbert inqiured Cheren." Well , I think we should go to Professor Juniper and thank her for the Pokemon." the blue haired boy replied.
The boys both both turned at Bianca's voice, who said," But before that, lets have a Pokemon battle with our new buddies."Her smile sent chilks up Hilbert's spine.
A/N: So there goes the first chapter of my first fanfic. Hope you guys like it. Constructive criticism is highly appreciated. I would also welcome some ideas concerning how Hilbert meets with Hilda. Some ideas about what Pokemon Hilbert, Hilda, Cheren and Bianca should own will also be welcomed.
