8:30 PM:
At a restaurant:
(Duncan was sitting in the table depressed, he was wearing a black suit with a dark blue shirt in it. He is currently having a strawberry cupcake with sprinkles in it.)
"I still couldn't believe that Courtney forgot my birthday. I hope she'll remember it later today.." He sighed
FLASHBACK:
(Shows many flashbacks of Duncan celebrating his birthday with his family, when he was a kid through a teenager.)
END OF FLASHBACK:
"And I've never even celebrated it with her! I've only celebrated it with my family & that's it!" Duncan said
(Then some tears come out of his eyes & tried his best not to cry.)
"Hey sir, you ok?" A waiter asked
"I'm fine." Duncan sighed
"Ok." A waiter replied as he left
"Happy birthday to me.." Duncan said in sadness as he took a little bite of the cupcake, then more tears came out of his eyes as he started to cry softly
(Then his phone rang as he stopped crying.)
"Hello?" Duncan asked
"Duncan, we need to talk." Courtney said
"Why?" Duncan asked
"Because I wanna show you something." Courtney replied
"What is it?" Duncan asked
"I'm not telling you!" Courtney complained
"Ok Princess, I'll be home as soon as I can." Duncan sighed
"Ok, see you later." Courtney said
"Bye." Duncan replied as he hung up his iPhone
(Then he ate the rest of the cupcake, & left the restaurant.)
At the car:
(Duncan was driving the car still depressed, he is still upset about Courtney forgetting his birthday.)
"I really hope Courtney remembers my birthday this time.." Duncan sighed
(Then he parked the car back to the house. Then he got our of the car & went near the house.)
Duncan sighs a little about what happened & says "I really need to patch things up with her when I get inside."
(Then he got inside the house, & realized that the lights were off.)
"Courtney? You in there?" Duncan asked "I think the power went out in our house. I should try to check.." He muttered
(Then he turned on the lights.)
