Hi dears. I am sorry it took me this long to update. As I said, my PC was in a coma. But now fit to type. And I bought a new laptop.

As usual, I don't own anything but my darling Arabelle Mikaelson. ...

Enjoy... and don't forget to review...

And they said. The exact same thing that Arabelle told them. About the prophecy, about the rituals. And the reaction was as expected. A blood dripping aneurism from Bonnie, a temper tantrum that could rival that of Niklaus' from Caroline, a guarded withdrawal from Stefan and complete jackass-ness, if there was even such a word, from Damon. And the four younger Originals thought it would be best to leave them to their thoughts. They all gathered at the Mikaelson mansion living room. Brooding of different level from each of them.

Just then Katerina strolled into the said living room with a grin. "So, dear family, how did the Talk go?"

For which she was promptly met with a chilling glare from each of them.

Katerina sighed, "Alright. I can see it didn't go well. But can you guys at least tell me what happened?"

Rebekah began, "Well.."

Roughly two hours before….

Rebekah was fidgeting in her seat as she pondered how to break it to Stefan. It was not every day that a girl tells a guy that they must get married in five moons to keep a bad guy from coming back to life. She sighed for what felt like the umpteenth time.

Stefan frowned, "Rebekah, whatever you want to say, can you come out and just say it?"

Rebekah has to remind herself again that this was not the same Stefan that she met and fell in love with in the 20's. Sure, she still loved him, but she was not delusional enough to think that he still loved her. She also knew that he was in love with Elena. As much as she hated the current doppelganger, she wanted Stefan to be happy. She sighed again, "Stefan, did you think about what my sister said yesterday?"

Stefan just nodded.

His silence about the question unnerved her. But she continued anyway, "There's more to it"

Stefan's frown deepened, "Ok, what is it?"

"Before Quetsiyah died to create the Other Side, she foresaw a prophecy. It said that, in the foreseeable future, when the threat of Markos rears back, the blood of the Guardians and their mates, would play a very significant role in defending the world" Rebekah finished it in a single breadth.

Stefan's frown deepened further, "Ok. What does it have to do with me?"

Rebekah fidgeted further in her seat, "My siblings and I are the Guardians." Her eyes firmly on the steering wheel, as she said the next part. "And you are my mate. And we must get married on the fifth moon from today, which happens to be the first step of a three step ritual, to prevent the Rocques from raising Markos"

Stefan's brows now reached his hairline. They sat there in Rebekah's car for nearly an hour, without even looking at each other. Then, abruptly Stefan left, with the car door slamming in his wake.

Only then did Rebekah allowed her tears to stain her cheeks. She maybe thousand years old, but she's still a girl, who was sucker when it comes to rejections. Especially one from her mate.

The Portico of The Bennett Residence…..

Kol stared at the witch as she sat opposite him on the other side of the barrier. "Why do you sit inside your house? Is it because you are afraid that you might jump me?" Kol wiggled his eyebrows.

Bonnie rolled her eyes, "It's more like you will make me your snack"

Kol scowled and said, "You don't have to be afraid of me, lass. I won't hurt you"

Bonnie scoffed, "Could have fooled me. You didn't give me a reason to trust you"

"Reason, darling?" Kol said smirking, "Oh, you will love the reason I am going to give you"

Bonnie frowned, "What are you talking about?"

Kol smirked, "You do remember my sister saying that we, my siblings and I, are the Guardians of the Supernatural World, right?"

Bonnie raised her left eyebrow, "You mean, your sister claiming that you are all the 'Guardians of the Supernatural World'? Yeah, I do remember that"

Kol rolled his eyes, "Well, if that is what you want to believe. But I will tell you the remaining part, which my sister enlisted me to tell you. It seems, darling, that to prevent Markos from raising again, we, the Guardians and their mates must get married. That's the first step of the three step ritual."

"What does that have to do with me?" Bonnie asked.

Kol sighed, "Unfortunately, my lass, you are my mate. And we are to get married on the fourth moon from today. "

With that said, Kol smirked at her and left the already confused witch bewildered, which promptly resulted in Bonnie concentrating all her might and successfully popping Kol's blood vessels in his brain, if he even have one.

Damon Salvatore's Bedroom. . . . Salvatore Boarding house …

Damon was lying on his back with Arabelle tucked against him, as her hands kept drawing invisible circles on his chest. He looked down at her and smiled, "Now, what was it you were going to say before I skillfully interrupted you?"

Arabelle scoffed, "Skillfully?"

"Oh come on, witchy, you know that I am the best" he said as he flipped her, so she was beneath him, as his body hovered over her.

"Well, I am not as experienced as you to know that now, am I? Mmm… I should really sleep around with some male in this town to determine that" Arabelle said teasingly.

Damon growled, "And their heads will roll, I assure you"

Arabelle raised her eyebrow and said, "We shall have that talk later. Now, do you remember what I said yesterday? About Markos?"

Damon went back to lying on his back and stared at the ceiling, "Yes" he said simply.

"Well, to prevent that ass from raising again, we must undergo this three step ritual" Arabelle said hesitatingly, suddenly unsure of telling him.

"We?" he asked.

"Yes. We, the Guardians, have the ability to recognize our mates the moment we see them. In order to stop the bastard from raising, the first step is for each one of to get married on the coming full moons. The first to get married in Elijah. The next moon after that, it will be Finn. And I am to get married six moons from now. And Damon, you are my mate" Arabelle said.

"So, you are saying" Damon began as he began to extract himself from her, "that we are to be married in six months, so that a two thousand year old warlock to stay stone?"

"Yes" Arabelle said as she tried to rein in her tears.

"Mmmm" Damon said as he picked up his undergarments and trousers, "Get out, Arabelle"

Arabelle sat up, clutching the covers to her breasts, "Damon"

"GET OUT" he growled.

And immediately she slipped her indifferent mask and quickly got dressed, "Thank you"

Forbes House Sitting Room...

"Well, are you going to say something?" Caroline asked.

"Very well, I shall tell you the matter straight" Niklaus said. "Well, we, my siblings and I, can identify our mates. And you, love happen to be my mate. And in order to stop Markos, we have to undergo a three step ritual. The first is to get married. And we are to be married on the third moon from now. Make up your mind, sweetheart, because the future of the Supernatural world depends on it."

Caroline blinked. She opened and closed her mouth several times before she screamed a, "What?!", that could rival that of a fish woman.

Niklaus winced, "You are obviously shocked, love. I shall leave you to your thoughts"

And exactly thirty seconds after he left the Forbes house, he heard her screaming and calling him in very colourful words in her vocabulary.

Present. . . . . Mikaelson Manor Sitting Room . . . . . .

Katerina was shocked. "I am so sorry guys", she said.

"Its alright, Katerina" Rebekah tried to smile. "So, what had you so radiant earlier"

Katerina blushed. Katerina Petrova blushed. "Well..."

Three Hours Earlier. . . . . . Elijah Mikaelson's Bedroom. . . . . . .

Elijah was lying on his back, with Katerina on his chest. They were both exhausted with their "activities". Elijah was rubbing her arms, as she sighed blissfully.

"Mmmmm, Elijah" she said as she snuggled closer.

"Katerina I have something for you" he said as he sat up, with her still curled against his chest. He carefully slid his hand to his headboard to take a small black velvet box.

Katerina turned her head to see what Elijah was doing and was shocked to see the jewellery box in his hand. "Elijah?" she asked.

"Marry me, Katerina" he said.

Katerina's eyes filled with tears as she nodded. "Of course, my love"
