Rabbit In A Trap

Gemini double-crossed adversaries and temporary allies every day. He found such double-dealing comical, relishing the bemused look on their faces, like they never saw it coming. And yet, he wasn't very forgiving when someone dared to double-cross him.

Gama Rose's betrayal besmirched his impeccable reputation as WEE and Necros' Alphas. His very reputation hinged on repaying her treachery double. Others will think twice before crossing him again. That was why he initially threatened her so openly, because his second-in-command was listening, and he intended on making an example of this bitch.

Gemini hadn't slept a wink since. He couldn't ignore her skill. Gama Rose was Necros' best assassin. There wasn't anyone better. He spent every waking moment dreading, 'What if she uncovers Arlin Helios' real identity? Arlin Helion is really Sheldon Director, a.k.a. Gemini.

She'd become more motivated than ever to kill him, over all the times Arlin Helion made her squirm under veiled threats. He finally couldn't take the suspense any longer, wondering when she'd pop from behind the next shadow.

His usual trackers weren't close to catching her. Arlin hired Necros' best tracker—Asipis Montana, a native-born Blackfoot Indian, who promoted himself unto Commander's rank within Necros' Italian Special Trackers Division.

Gemini never doubted the man's skills. Commander Montana could track Gama Rose easy enough. He doubted, however, the commander could ever take Gama Rose by surprise. And he certainly couldn't match Gama Rose's combat skills in hand-to-hand combat.

Commander Montana assembled a six-man team from among Necros' elite soldiers and agents. That way, their militant activities wouldn't expose WEE unto legal backlash or their boss unto negative publicity.

Gama Rose collapses on her bed, exhausted over dodging Commander Montana's relentless team over the past 3-months, across 48-cities and three continents, which also included a wild trek through the Swiss Alps. She simply couldn't shake them, no matter what she did or where she went.

She'd always heard, 'What happens in Vegas stays there'. Hence, she took refuge in 'Sin City,' hoping maybe she could lose her pursuers in the desert lights. If not, she feared she may seriously be dead by week's end.

Running and jumping at shadow was humiliating enough. She'd never faced such opposition. It'd even gotten so bad. She couldn't stay anywhere longer than 6-hours, or sleep soundly through the night, always sleeping with one eye open and one shut. Her former boss revoking her clearance only capitalized this whole experience. She was essentially blind, unable to track this team through satellite coverage.

"Commander, we've searched this whole city. She's simply vanished without a trace," one scouting party after the next reports back.

Her ploy almost worked, but not quite.

"Imbeciles," Commander Montana kills the connection, dialing Necros' central command. A strangler unit calls in before he can hit the SEND button.

"Yea," he answers the call expecting pretty much the same.

"Sir, we have her location," a more observant agent reports back her location.

"What?" He stammers with doubt.

"We have her exact location," the sergeant reiterates the good news. His boss would be elated over finding this traitor. He could deal with her personally.

"Where?" Commander Montana couldn't pass up this chance.

"The Red Rock Lucky 7 Casino off the strip, Sir".

"Keep an eye on her but don't approach our target. We'll be there shortly," he disconnects, redialing his main command.

"Authorization code," a voice bids him.

"Alpha, Alpha, Gama 769".

"Command authorization recognized," the same mechanical voice acknowledges his code. "What's the nature of your inquiry?"

"Sabertooth calling Grandmaster". Sabertooth was his designation during this op. Grandmaster was Necros' secret satellite network.

"What can we do to better serve our customers?"

"We have Black Anvil cornered outside the Vegas Red Rock Lucky 7 Casino," he relays the urgency of his mission. "I'm requesting a positive identification on the target before attempting to apprehend".

"Roger that," she accepts his request. "I'll have a positive lock in 10 minutes".

"That will work for us. We're leaving the Bunny Ranch now and should be arriving at the casino within 15-minutes, Alpha, Alpha, Gama 769, out," he hangs up dialing and broadcasting a special code. Every team member's cell phones emit an emergency alert. Every man and woman leave their conquests behind, rush outside, and jump into his/her assigned vehicle.

Commander Montana turns over his ignition, kicks his SUV into gear, and guns his engine. He was intent on apprehending this traitor and earning her $10 million bounty.

Cat and Mouse

Kim spent this whole-time shadowing Gama Rose here. She'd even helped her elude capture several times. Having two assets embedded among Commander Montana's team simplified her task. Both ran routine interference helping her staff off enemy radar.

Commander Montana drove straight there keeping under the speed limit. He couldn't get stopped with those firearms in his trunk. It'd be bad for business. And he'd become a liability himself. Finger gripping the steering wheel and eyes locked dead ahead. His team etches the way closer. His cell phone disrupts his private meditations. He answers on the 2nd ring, "What do you have, Grandmaster?"

"Confirmed sighting, Alpha Alpha 769,' Grandmaster replies. "She's registered under three aliases in rooms 14-108, 16-098, 12-111, but staying in 16-118".

"What are my orders?" He checks whether his mission parameters changed or not.

"Proceed with caution, but terminate with extreme prejudice regardless our exposure," Gemini relays his newest mission parameters.

"Understood, Grandmaster," he accepts his mission parameters. Kill Gama Rose despite personal cost.

He dials his team leader watching the casino, "Where is she now?"

"She's heading upstairs boss. We still don't know..."

"Don't bother. She's registered under four aliases. Station people outside 14-108, 16-098, 12-111, but concentrate your efforts around 16-118".

"How close, Sir?"

"I'm 3-minutes out and closing. I cautious you, proceed with extreme caution. Gama Rose must be dead within 24-hours or else we are. We can't chance her getting away. She may have made you already and laying a trap".

"I understand, Desert Fox," the team leader hangs up.

"Dark Starr," an operative warns over his com, "hostiles are centered around 14-108, 16-098, 12-111, but concentrated outside 16-118".

"Roger that, Dark Starr, out," Kim primes her traps.

3-minutes pass in a blink. Kim waits on her spotters' signal. A black SUV screeches up outside The Red Rock Lucky 7 Casino. Twelve assailants hop out rushing inside the casino. A valet accepts the driver's keys with a sadistic grin. He knew why they were there.

"Keep this vehicle close," the driver tips her $100.00.

"Dark Starr," an operative cuts in over her com, "reinforcements are heading straight towards our mark in 16-118. What are your orders, Ma'am?"

"Did you set the charges roundabout all four rooms, like I asked?"

"Affirmative, Ma'am," her general acknowledges.

"Fall back and cover our periphery. I'll handle those targeting my sister. A family reunion is long overdue," she kills the connection, blends with casino security, and monitors the commander.

Six team members break formation, weave their way through the bulging crowds, and disappear in the back, where security and casino management hang out. The senior agent inserts a special access card into the security elevator's slot. Bells ding and its doors wisp open. All six assailants step aboard and wait as the doors close behind them. The cubicle kicks into action conveying them upwards.

The elevator makes an unexpected stop on the 8th floor. Its doors open and three armed assailants rush off making a beeline for the VP of Security and Surveillance's office, shooting anyone who gets in their way. Elevators doors close behind conveying their companions upward. Each man and woman check their personal weapons getting edgier. Eyes glued upon the floor counter.

As expected, the elevator stops on Floor #16. Bells ding and doors open. Six armed assailants calmly step off the elevator weaving their way through the casino.

Raising The Bar

The Red Rock Lucky 7 Casino's biggest competitor built their own casino across the way. Kim booked a room there directly across from hers, 16-111. She set up a Paradigm SRP Talon remote gyro-stabilizer platform housing an P416 SBR-22 Sniper Rifle, loaded with a C-mag 100-round drum.

Kim monitors them draw closer. She couldn't chance losing her unsuspecting source. She activates her talon platform. Its Vectronix laser range finder easily locks onto Gama Rose's room. Auto-tracker pinpoints her exact location with such ease firing 3-mm just right of her target's position. Kim's P416 opens up with raw fury.

Gama Rose barely hits the floor in time. 5.56-mm yellow jacket rounds shatters her window drilling holes throughout the room, ceiling and floor. The plasma TV explodes into iridescent flames. Plaster crumbles, wood splinters, and expensive figurines crashed amidst the litter and debris.

Commander Montana and his team stop cold hearing automatic gunfire. It didn't take long to realize. The shots originated outside their target's room.

"Stand down," the commander orders his perimeter guards.

"Say again, Commander," the perimeter C.O. seeks clarification.

Montana eliminates their confusion, "Dammit! I said stand down and quit firing! We want them both alive! For now! At least!".

"It isn't us, Sir," the perimeter C.O. assures his superior.

"Then who?"

"We don't know, Sir".

"Have you pinpointed the shooter's position?"

"Maul-Eye Twelve Casino, 16th floor straight across from our target's room".

"Gama Rose must be desperate, if she's called her sister for help. We can't let them escape. The boss wants them both alive, for now. All teams converge on my point. I repeat, all teams converge! Now!"

Kim intercepts his orders. She even monitors Commander Montana and his perimeter teams rushing inside the casino and heading upstairs towards Gama Rose's room. She couldn't tolerate innocent people getting caught amidst the crossfire.

Kim triggers the 16th floor fire alarm. Alarms start to blare and fire sprinklers rain down atop the escaping guests' heads. Men and women—all guests of the hotel—grab their children, huddling them close, not wanting them trampled underfoot or shot by the repetitious gunfire.

She strategically waits, until the majority of the people cleared the danger field, at least until these gunmen reach outside her 'sister's' door. She removes her remote detonator, only letting Commander Montana and his team get so close.

She presses the trigger with a bodacious grin. Strategically placed explosives detonate synchronously collapsing various sections of the 16th floor walls and ceiling, outside the rooms, burying the enemy under tons brick, plaster, wood and steel beams, and other debris.

Meanwhile, back downstairs, his enforce teams crashes through the casino's security hub. Montana's men kick down the office doors, ready to kill everyone inside, only then to learn it was already too late. Casino management and security were there.

They'd been warned about their breach and fled. Kim set up more rifle platforms. Kicking in the office doors primes every platform. The A.I. take aim firing on full auto, taking pity on no one. Various caliber rounds drill holes through walls.

Every man and woman scream in exasperation, watching half their team cut asunder within seconds, only then realizing they'd bet set up. They'd should've caught these casino 'rent-a-cops' by surprise. And yet, their enemies knew they were coming and set their own trap. Various caliber rounds tore through the plaster walls roundabout them, taking down more team members.

Surviving members resolve, they were outgunned and outmanned, they wouldn't go down without a fight, returning fire without hesitation. Their rounds tear through the same walls. This fight continues for 3-minutes. Every man and woman realize something. They'd lost 7-10 people already. Yet, they hadn't heard a single person inside cry out in pain.

Annie beeps, signaling her owner. Kim had this band trapped and preoccupied. She takes no pity on anyone there, triggering the explosives roundabout. A massive explosion rises up and spreads in every direction. Its fires burned so hot. Even slight exposure proved lethal within seconds. It didn't stop there. The miasma knocks the blast-proof doors off their metallic hinges.

Kim, disguised as Trinity Rose, a.k.a. Dark Starr, takes aim firing her line launcher. The zip line flies across the strip embedding into the casino's brick exterior. Kim attaches her lines zipping across on its cable. She crashes through the next room's window, rolls several times, and comes back up on her feet. The shots keep coming.

Kim powers up blasting through the wall. She makes her way into her sister's room. Body bathed in plasma, head to toe. Gama Rose lay wounded near the far-right corner. A bullet lodged in her right calf, and another in her left arm. Kim sashays in front of the window. 5.56-mm yellow jacket rounds pelted her aura shield disintegrating upon contact. She powers up blasting the room across the way.

Gama Rose glances up, exhausted and shaken, but still at herself enough to recognize her rescuer. "You," she rasps in shock. "Any number of people could've come to my rescue. Why'd it have to be you, You Double-Crosser".

"What can I say?" Kim shrugs. "We're family," she pinches the hardened assassin.

Gama Rose was out like a light.

Kim scoops her up rappelling down the northern side of the building. Perimeter guards converge. Kim straps Gama Rose into the passenger seat, starts up her Bugatti Vision, and hits Interstate 15 North heading at 150 mph.

Two Nevada Highway Patrol cars gets behind them. Sirens blaring and blue lights flashing all the way. The leader cruiser advises, "Pull over and kill your engine immediately, or we will open fire".

Kim spurs their threat passing 250 mph and engaging stealth mode. Her car vanishes, before taking flight. Every driver cuts his wheel sharply, coming to a skidding halt and parked sideways across the rural Las Vegas highway. No one could believe what just happened.

Flutter In The Ranks

Will Du hustles into his boss' office.

Dr. Director snaps her head up, still pissed over the position her bosses put her in. She tried to save their lives. Her best efforts failed. At least Kimberly saved the girl, while Shego fought her sister outside the house.

"Ever knock, Commander?"

"Sorry, Director," he'd overstepped his bounds again. He only hoped this news would atone for his little transgression, especially after getting her into so much trouble with her bosses.

Dr. Director discerns he'd had a major breakthrough in this frustrating case. And he was bubbling over with excitement. She extends his opportunity to boast, "What do you have, Commander?"

He couldn't contain his excitement any longer blurting with a widening smile, "Ma'am, Necros just tried to kill Gama Rose".

"What?" Dr. Director leaps onto her feet. She realized, her brother took the bait faster than even she imagined he would. "Are you sure?"

"Positive, Ma'am," Will relays her confirmation.

"Why did her own people try to kill her?" As if she didn't know.

"I don't know," he reluctantly admits.

"You said tried, who saved her?" Dr. Director didn't like this latest development.

Will steadies his last nerve naming the most unlikely person, "Trinity Rose".

"Trinity Rose?" She reciprocates with considerable doubt.

"No, Ma'am, you didn't hear me wrong," he reiterates what he'd said. "Trinity Rose saved her own sister's life".

Dr. Director was more confused than ever. They hated each other, "Why would she do that? She hates her sister, doesn't she?" She starts to second-guess everything she thought she understand about this now-infuriating case.

"Their relationship is rocky at best," Will classifies their family bond. "But, they are family, Director, like you and your brother".

Dr. Director cuts her eyes sharply over his analogy. She couldn't be sure, but felt like, he was subtly reminding her about her bosses' threat. They'd rather have him as Senior Director than her, especially since he uncovered this breakthrough in their case.

Will didn't know anything about what his boss' bosses threatened. He drops his head really wishing he'd chosen his words wiser.

She'd made his squirm enough. He'd think twice before saying something so asinine in her presence again. He expounds on their current discussion debating, "What if they faked their animosity? What if they're angling to take over the underworld".

"Trinity Rose already works for Grimmorea," Commander Du extrapolates what his mentor meant. "Maybe Gama Rose has been a triple agent".

"If only we knew their boss' name at Grimmorea," Dr. Director shakes her head sighing heavily, "we could end this nightmare, before it ever starts".

Commander Du didn't say anything. He'd been around her long enough. He knew, based on her tone and posturing, when to speak and when's best to keep quiet. And now was one of those times.

"What happened?"

He had his cue, "Gama Rose took cover inside The Red Rock Lucky 7 Casino. Necros sent their best assassin teams after her. One team tried to take Terrance Delgado, theVP of Security and Surveillance, hostage…"

"Tried to take them hostage?" Dr. Director picks apart his statement. "Do you mean they failed in their attempt, Commander?"

"Yes, Ma'am," he nods.

Such operations are usually planned down to the last detail. And yet, Necros failed. She asks the most obvious question, wondering, "Why?"

"Mr. Delgado claims, a Global Justice strike team crashed his office, gassed him and his men, then set up an ambush for their attackers. These agents set up remote controlled rifle platforms. Necros' teams kicked open their targets' office doors, primed the platforms, and got a gut full of lead for their troubles. Meanwhile, the rest of Necros' teams converged on Gama Rose's room, 16-118.

Necros rented a room across the boulevard. Its occupant set up an FPS talon platform inundating Gama Rose room with 5.56-mm yellow jacket rounds. Las Vegas police uncovered blood splatter against the walls and a pool of blood smeared against the far-right wall.

They theorize, this attack caught Gama Rose by surprise, where she took several rounds. We don't know where she's alive or dead. We know; however, someone triggered a fire alarm, amidst Necros' brutal attack".

"Giving men, women, and children time enough to get out alive," she finds this Good Samaritan's intervention odd, considering this was an assignation, not a rescue mission.

"Yes, Ma'am," Will shared her curiosity.

"What happened next?" She wanted to know every sordid detail, no matter how small it may seem.

"Trinity Rose zip lined across the strip, crashed the next room, and blasted a hole through the divider wall between the adjacent and her sister's room. 5.56-mm yellow jacket rounds ricocheted off her body armor at over 750 RPMs. We suspect, she harnessed some experimental plasma cannon and blasted the shooter's room, across the way inside The Majestic Sunrise Casino and Resort".

"What about the people inside that casino?"

"Again. we can't prove, but we believe she triggered the fire alarm, about 20-seconds before she zip-lined across the plaza".

Dr. Director now suspected Kimberly was alive more than ever. She couldn't help but wonder. Could she be Trinity Rose? If so, could she have crossed the line? A single question would supply the answers she sought "How did Trinity Rose escape with her sister?"

"Trinity scoops up her sister rappelling down the casino's northern wall. She buckled her sister into the passenger seat. Trinity climbed behind a pricey 2016 Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo. Two Las Vega Highway Patrol cars got behind them. Every officer swears, and I quote, 'The car simply vanished before my eyes. And it didn't show up under IFR or UV sweeps. It was just gone'".

"Interesting," Dr. Director draws certain parallels. Kim and Trinity Rose are proportionate. Whoever heard of an assassin intervening to save innocent peoples' lives? Her car simply vanishes into thin air. Given, Kim isn't the only person with cloaking tech. She doesn't use plasma cannons, though.

"Commander, put the word out. I want those two in custody within 24-hours".

Looking Into The Enemy's Face

Gama Rose awakes near panic realizing. She wasn't inside her hotel room. Her sister either rescued or kidnapped her. Even she wasn't sure which, yet.

"Hello," she calls out.

"Well, well, you're finally awake," a voice reaches out amidst the shadow.

Her sister walks into open view.

Gama Rose throws her hands up screaming, "What do you want, Trinity?"

"Information," she replies without a care.

"Information?" Gama Rose scoffs the very notion. "You set me up. And, what, now you expect me to supply you with information?"

"I won't lie, Diamonique," Kim as Trinity admits with some reluctance. "I did set you up".

"Well, congratulations, you succeeded. My boss thinks I betrayed him. Now he's sent Necros' best to put me into the ground. I hope you're happy".

"I am," Kim smiles.

Gama Rose breaks down crying. True, they weren't raised together. But, they're sisters. Blood was thicker than water. She couldn't understand, "Why'd you do this unto me?"

"I did it to save your life, Little Sister," Kim kneels until eye level.

"Save me? How stupid do you think I am?" Gama Rose never heard something so ridiculous.

"Very inane," Trinity shocks her sister once again. "Care to hear my side?"

"Oh, heaven forbid," Diamonique throws her hands up again, "I have so missed your tale tales from when we were little girls".

"Try me, Sister," Kim baits her curiosity, "you may be surprised at what you can learn".

"It must be a doozy explanation," Gama Rose retorts with piqued curiosity, though still doubtful of anything she'd say, but open-minded enough to listen.

"I couldn't stomach you working any longer under Sheldon Director, a.k.a Gemini any longer".

"I don't work for or under WEE. I work for..."

"Arlin Helion," Kim names her sister's boss.

"How'd you know?" Gama Rose eyes her eccentric sister.

"Simple. Arlin Helion is another of Gemini's many aliases. Necros and its people, even you, are all considered expendable, if the necessity arises. Your very existence shields WEE against legal prosecution, should your illegal activities every come to light".

"No, it can't be true," Gama Rose denies her allegations. She'd never felt so betrayed or humiliated. She never feared Gemini, but she did Alin Helion. He'd proven his resolve so many times. Now? She despised the notion she might've groveled at Gemini's feet this whole time. It was dehumanizing.

"Here," she hands her signed affidavits.

"What are these?"

"Eyewitness testimonies proving his identity".

Senor Senor, Dr. Dementor, DNAmy, Electronizue, and nearly 30 others signed these affidavits. All listed among the contracts Trinity Rose had allegedly executed over the past year. And yet, each signed her sister's papers, mere days or hours before their 'deaths'. Gama Rose couldn't believe her eyes.

"I sense your lingering doubt, Sister," Kim builds some rapport. Ask yourself? Why'd he leave Shego for last?"

"She was his key to generating super soldiers," Gama Rose answers.

"Is that what he told you?" Kim retorts with condescending laughter. "Global Justice and DOD tried the same experiments when Shego was a child. They failed then, and he'll fail now. Their powers..."

"...can be stolen, transferred, or modified in any way," Gama Rose defends her boss' plan. She honestly didn't know why she felt compelled to answer this nonsense.

"Not anymore. I modified their quantum bio-signatures. Aviarius' power stone can never touch their powers, ever, again".

"That's impossible! Quantum field resonance theory states, all matter resonates at a predesignated, consistent resonance. String theory extrapolates this to include other dimensional energies, too".

"You're correct," Kim admits the truth. "I can't alter matter's resonance frequency, but I can distort how the power stones read and Aviarius' machinery interprets its telemetry. In that way, their powers can never be tapped again".

Gama Rose sat there bewildered. Not only did she debate the possibility but couldn't understand why she'd saved her. The silence drags on permeating the atmosphere around them.

Predators Never Rest

Gemini's wrist com rings twice. He taps his wrist gauntlet activating his com-link snapping, "You'd best have good news, Beta!"

Agent Beta adjusts his collar nervously relaying the good news, "Boss, we have a positive lock?"

"Where are they hiding, Agent Beta?" Gemini debates whether to terminate his best tracker agent over being so careless and losing his prizes in the first place, the same reason he'd green lit

punish this agent over losing his prisoners in the first place.

Beta recognized that tone. He resolves, he'd have to face the consequences of his choices later. For now, maybe he could redeem himself by delivering his enemies back into his boss' palms. "Blooming Rose, an abandoned ghost town, located in Maryland, USA, Sir," he declares with accomplishment.

Gemini wasn't this gullible. Gama Rose was too careful. They'd located her too easily. He suspected, this was a trap, and tests that theory asking him, "How'd you locate her?"

"Commander Montana's perimeter guards tagged Gama Rose, before her sister stuffed her inside her Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, Sir".

"You tagged Gama Rose, and yet you still let them escape your grasps," Arlin Halion thunders. Agent Beta had never acted this careless. He gives him the benefit of the doubt. He must've had a damn good reason. He calms down enough probing his reasons, "Why?"

His boss didn't sound happy. Agent Beta explains his actions, "Sir, you weren't here. I opted 'to let them seemingly escape'. I figured, they might lead us to Grimmorea's new base. That way, we could take one of our biggest competitors and Gama Rose together".

Even Gemini admired his tactical reasoning. His commanding agent made a last-minute judgment call, letting them escape. Alas, he doubted this was their base quipping, "And they chose this abandoned ghost town as their base".

"It'd seems so," Beta prayed it was. If not, he was a dead man.

Gemini considers his orders asking, "What actions have you taken already?"

"I have a cloaked drone inbound," Beta waits on the strike order.

Gemini considers his options asking, "How long until intercept?"

"10-minutes tops at its current speed".

"What do you mean at its current speed? Can't you hurry up this attack?"

"I could, Sir, but doing so is ill-advised," he cautions his boss against getting too impatient.

"Why?"

"Sir, increasing speed could increase our exposure. If detected, they could bring down our drone before we reach optimal firing range".

"Very well," Gemini yields. "Drop payload immediately when over target, then detonate the drone. I don't want anyone tracing this back unto us. Necros must avoid exposure".

"Understood, Sir," he salutes. "The Predator never rests".

The Predator was their drone's name. Gemini gets pissed over him mentioning its name over open airwaves. He couldn't do anything about it now. What's done is done. He hangs up without a word.

Coercing Answers

Kim waits patiently, until Gama Rose couldn't stand the silence any longer. "You didn't save me to debate universal physics or string theory. What do you want from me, Trinity?"

"Why'd your boss poison Kim Possible?"

"He claimed she could expose him and bring down Necros with what she'd learnt. That's why we tricked Drakken and his shadow into poisoning her. Even if Global Justice learnt about our plot, they'd suspect Drakken and never us. Only..."

"She survived?" Trinity complete her sister's sentence.

"Exactly," Gama Rose acknowledges her own handiwork. "That was when I took the initiative to eliminate this threat, personally".

"Fair enough," Kim builds some rapport. "What evidence did she have".

"I honestly don't know," she throws her hands up in disgust. She'd done everything her boss told her. She never questioned his orders. Now, he blames her over his own failures, marking her for death. "He wouldn't elaborate. And you learnt rather quickly, when working for Arlin, don't push him for answers. It was very hazardous for yours, your family, and your friends' health".

Kim deduces Gemini behind her initial exposure, "What about Samir Macsen?"

"He was a two-bit chemist, disposable at best. He served us by impersonating Possible's doctor and getting her released. That way, I could get to her easier without drawing attention. I shut him up shortly after he completed his assignment. I then served his remains unto the sharks".

"Why'd you set up such an elaborate media campaign against Team Possible?"

"Team Possible wasn't my intended target," Gama Rose sighs heavily.

"Then, who was?" Kim was certain she knew this answer. But, she wanted her captured assassin to at least confirm her suspicions.

"Kim Possible was Necros' intended target," Gama Rose names her objective behind drawing Boyd to Middleton and her media campaign against her friends.

"What about Indigo Ferrera and Ron Stoppable?"

"I shadowed that stupid cop…"

"You mean Boyd?"

"Yea," Gama Rose shrugs. "That's him. I set up several accounts in his name and exposed Indigo wherever she went, all in preparation for my Middleton assignment".

"Shego," Trinity guesses her target all along.

"Exactly," Gama Rose shakes her head. "Mr. Helion, uh..., Gemini, desired his prize. Kim Possible learnt about Gemini's plans. We still don't know how she uncovered our plot. Gemini knew she'd make trouble. That's why he set up the bio-breach, figuring, if seemingly poisoned during a bio-breach, no one could trace it back unto Necros. As said, she survived my initial attack forcing my hand".

"You set up the media campaign, hoping she'd learn about her boyfriend's alleged unfaithfulness and come unglued. The doctors would note her emotional instabilities. And then, you'd be sanctioned by the government to eliminate your target legally, correct?"

"Can you think of an easier set up," Gama Rose laughs aloud, boasting how easily it was to coerce gullible politicians and military leaders. "There'd be no public backlash nor would G.J. probe Necros' recent operations any more.

Hell, they wouldn't have eve suspect we'd eliminated her. The media campaign served as both a distraction and stimulant. It distracted local authorities, while screening for potential troublemakers, where they could be more easily eliminated later with minimal exposure".

"Wait, that's impossible unless..."

"That's right. I'm Indigo's crippled mother, too. I killed her mother and father per Gemini's orders. I then took her mother's place. As Shirley, I instigated those campaigns setting up a diversion for when we snatched Shego".

"Dark Starr," Wade doesn't use her real name over insecure lines, "she's telling the truth. All media campaigns and web sites match up perfectly with her digi-prints and cities when the Ferraras lived".

"Boss," Agent Beta alerts Gemini, "we're over target".

"Fire". Their drone decloaks and swoops down firing. A BLU-116 bunker buster descends with a shout burrowing 11-ft into an underground facility, doubling as their decoy base, then detonates leveling everything.

"It's over, Sir," Agent Beta relays the good news.

"Excellent," Gemini disconnects, launching the next stage of his coup.

A Deadly Turn

Wade bypasses her earpiece coming over the interrogation room's main com. "Dark Starr, Gemini just bombed our decoy base where we planted her bio-tracker he tagged Gama Rose with when you rescued her from that Las Vegas casino".

"He did what?" Gama Rose shouts. "I should..."

Indigo perceived Dark Starr's preoccupation stepping outside the shadows. A silenced FNX Tactical 45 clutched in her right hand. Kim didn't sense the danger, too distracted by what she'd recently learnt. She hears a high-powered gunshot behind. Gama Rose's head snaps back and body slumps against the ground, dead. That was her only warning signs.

"Kimmie-Cub," her father monitors a gunman targeting his daughter over Wade's screen. He takes off in haste heading towards Interrogation Room #3.

Ron, Shego, and Anne wasn't far behind.

Kim barely dives in time. A .45 caliber slug grazes past her right temple. Indigo obviously wanted her dead, too. Why? That was anybody's guess. She grabs the interrogation table's edge tipping it over. Several more rounds ricochet off its metallic surface.

Kim crawls near the right corner popping up for mere seconds. The gun's stainless-steel frame all but glistened under the room's bright lights. She couldn't miss tossing three throwing knives. One lodges in the barrel's opening, a second in her right shoulder, and third scrapes past her head.

"Oh, shit," Indigo grabs her should crying in immense pain. She panics upon dropping her gun. She had one recourse, a slim chance at best. Indigo dashes outside the room running straight into a guard. The guard loses his footing. Indigo grabs his .357 Magnum.

Hanna rounds the corner about this time.

Indigo targets the little girl point blank.

"Hanna," James dives into the line of fire.

Indigo fires without a moment's hesitation.

Kim hears a faint wisp crashing into the hallway.

"Mean lady try hurt me," Hanna conveys with an abundance of tears.

Shego barely arrives in time erecting her strongest plasmatic shield around everyone there.

Kim witnesses her father collapse. She'd always had a volatile temper. Hers literally explode seeing the gaping hole in his lower abdomen and blood running down his right leg. Plasma covered her head to toe crepitating like lightning.

"Are you prepared to die, Indigo?" Kim screams with boiling rage, madder than she'd ever been at any single person in her whole life.

"KP, no," he calls out, not believing his ears.

She didn't seem to hear him. Her attention locked on target period.

"KP," he beckons louder.

She was so furious. His voice didn't register on her mind.

Ron pales worse, knowing, whether out of it or ignoring him completely, in this mindset, she intended on killing Indigo with her bare hands.

Indigo backs away in terror. Her finger instinctively pulling the trigger over and over. Every gunshot simply dissipates upon impacting her plasmatic shield. Worse yet, the kinetic energy inversely makes her adversary madder and plasmatic shield stronger. Her gun clicks empty. Indigo quickly reloads and opens fire targeting her again.

Kim keeps up the same slow but steady pace. Her grin grows more menacing and feet sink deeper into the deck underfoot with each shot absorbed.

Ron starts towards her, hoping he could talk some sense into his best friend.

"Monkey Boy, I would go anywhere near her right now".

"Shego, what's going on with her?"

"Relax, Anne, she's alright. She's simply lost her temper. Treat your husband. Hanna's the only one here who can calm her down at this point".

Her target's gun clicks empty again. She didn't have any more ammo. Kim douses her glow, leaps into the air, and pounces upon her dad's shooter beating her senseless.

"Mama," Hanna cries out, terrified she would literally beat that girl to death.

Her ears hear, but heart scarcely register what this little girl said.

"Again," Shego nudges Hanna.

"Mommy!" She cries louder.

Kim stops beating her prisoner. She turns back and observes Hanna standing there, hands trembling and eyes pouring tears in fear. Kim casts an unconscious Indigo at Shego feet venting, "Let her anywhere near my family again. I'll kill her, Emmy. And no one will stop me next time".

"She won't get anywhere near them again, Princess".

"See that she doesn't," Kim makes her way towards her daughter.

Hanna meets her halfway extending her little hand.

Kim collapses upon her knees. A trembling hands grips Hanna's little hand, puzzled but curiously honored, "Why'd you call me, Mama?"

"Mama gave me another mommy before she dies. Yous her".

She releases the little girl and keels over sobbing heavily.

"What's wrong? Did I do something?" Hanna pleads for answers.

Kim was so upset. She couldn't set her little heart at ease.

Shego takes the initiative, "Mama's upset. She's supposed to be good. And yet, she hurt this mean lady. It wasn't the right thing to do. She did bad".

Hanna understood enough. Mama was upset over hurting the mean lady, who hurt her daddy. Hanna kneels by her side, not saying anything, only hugging her reassuringly, as only a little girl could. That simply gesture was what Kim needed most.

Kim calms down enough returning the little girl's deep affections.

Anne and two nurses rush James into emergency surgery, shadowed by a host of armed guards. One assassination attempt was enough. They weren't taking any chances.
