Ch 2

Ike went to the Marshal's office to talk to Teaspoon the next morning. After their talk, he walked back to the station to get his horse ready. Jimmy saw him saddling his horse. He put the hay rake down and walked over.

"Ike? I'm sorry. I am. I didn't mean it like that."

Ike kept saddling his horse.

"Ike you should know by now how stupid I can be. I'm sorry. I can't say it enough."

Ike smiled at his saddle. He turned to face Jimmy and nodded.

"I'm sorry Ike. I just got a fat mouth."

Ike smiled. 'I know.'

"Friends?"

'Yeah.'

"Where ya goin?"

'Just need some time.'

"Ok."

Jimmy walked back to his chore. He went inside the barn to put the rake back up. Buck was in there working.

"Buck, where's Ike going?"

"I don't know. He doesn't have a ride."

"He wouldn't tell me anything, just said he needed time away."

Buck looked at Jimmy and went out to talk to Ike. Ike was mounting his horse.

"Ike!"

Ike looked down at Buck.

"Where are ya going? You weren't going to tell me?"

'Taking a few days.'

"Taking a few days off? Something wrong?"

'Need time to myself.'

"Be careful Ike. People can't understand you."

'I know. That's the problem.'

Ike frowned at Buck and rode off.

Walt and his gang watched the stagecoach rumbling down the trail. He looked to each of his eight friends. He smiled. They each smiled in return. They spurred their horses and galloped down the hill. The driver saw them coming and urged the horses faster. The gang surrounded them and easily killed the driver and shotgunner. Walt jumped onto the stage and pulled the horses to a stop.

"Howdy folks! Would everyone calmly get out the stage with your hands up!" Walt called out.

Two men and a woman climbed out.

"Now turn and face away from the coach! Keep those hands in the air! Hand over all your money and belongings please!" Said Walt slowly walking around.

The men slowly tossed their wallets and watches onto the ground then put their hands back up. The woman tossed her purse down. The men ransacked the coach. They took everything.

"We would like to thank you all for your cooperation. Now we ask that you take two steps forward as we ride away!" Called out Walt smiling.

The men and one woman took their first step. Before the second step even took place, the men opened fire shooting them all in the back. Walt fell over laughing.

"This never gets old."

"It sure doesn't." Laughed Clint who was Walt's best friend.

"Let's get outta here fellas!" Yelled Walt as they loaded all their stolen goods.

Another man went and unhooked the horses, watching them run off into the distance.

Clint rode over and lit his single torch. He threw it into the coach.

The gang rode off leaving nothing behind but an empty burning stagecoach.
