This oneshot is placed in their 7th year at Hogwarts, Hermione's POV…

MUGGLE STUDDIES

" Students this is going to be almost 30% of your grade. You will be given one high technology device present in the muggle world. You and your partner have to write individual essays on the given device. Both the students will receive one sample of the product and then you have to give a demonstration of the object in front of the class."

"well that is kind of easy I guess" Ron muttered beside Hermione. "now some of you might be thinking that this will be easy. So, as we have to prepare you for the outside world, you all have to learn to work with people that you don't necessarily like. Whivh means that each Gryffindor is going to be paired with a Slytherin."

Everybody started complaining about hiw unfair that was but professor Burbage didn't listen. "I will be reciting you names with your partner's. please listen carefully and then go sit with the assigned student. All of these partners have been chosen as per your intellectual abilities so no change in partners is to be allowed. The partners are-

Blaise and Harry

Ron and Pansy

Theo and Neville

And the list continued, the last partners were….

Draco and Hermione

Hermione was so shocked that she didn't even realized as everybody started to rise from their seats to change partners. She came out of her daze when someone nudged her elbow. She looked to her right to see Draco sitting here. Even though Slytherins and Gryffindors weren't on friendship terms, their hatred had subsided since after the war. So they were on first name basis.

Hermione came straight down to business, as she even though didn't hate him, she couldn't forget all the years of name calling he had taken her through, "I hope that my grade won't have to suffer because of you Draco" "oh I am sure it wouldn't. don't get ahead of yourself Granger, I am only 5 points behind you." He said with a smirk. "Granger?" she asked. "well, I really do like you calling you Granger rather than Hermione" Hermione looked away from him and said in a low voice, "then perhaps you should have called me that instead of the filthy name" "look, i-" but before he could say anything else, professor Burbage came by their table with a bowl in her hand. The bowl had several chits in it, "Go ahead, choose one chit" she said to Draco and Hermione. They both extended their hand chose coincidently chose the same chit. Draco's hand had landed n hermione's. seeing where his hand was he quickly pulled it back. Hermione got the chit and opened it

'A Mobile Phone'

"well, that's sad. I didn't expect two of my best students to get such a simple one. But I guess that's it. Your mobile phones will appear in front of you the first time that you meet to discuss your project." With that professor moved on to the next pair.

"so I guess we would have to meet again, today 7pm? Would that be ok with you?" Hermione asked. "yeah, Hermione wai-" but Hermione had already gotten up to leave. The class bell had just rung. Draco ran outside the class room to catch up with her, "Hermione just listen to me, once." Hermione turned around to just give him one chance, "look, I am really sorry that I called you, you of all people a mud- I cant even say it now. I regret it every day of my life. I promise not to do anything like this to you or to anyone ever again" by now a crowd had formed around them, waiting for hermione's reply, once again though Hermione was shocked, she would never have imagined Draco apologizing, that too this sincerely. She knew in heart that he meant it, "its ok Draco. I forgive you" she said slowly, beside her both harry and Ron looked at her uncertainly. Draco give her a big smile and at that moment Hermione couldn't help thinking that she would like to see that smile more often.

That evening when Hermione reached the library, Draco was already there, waiting for her at a table. She waved to him as she sat down opposite him. He gave her a small smile and waved back. Just then two small cell phones appeared in front of both of them. Hermione picked hers up and started turning it on. She looked up to see a very confused Draco. He was turning the phone in his hands, looking at it with wonder. A small giggle escaped Hermione. She couldn't help it. She realized that Draco didn't know a thing about phones. That evening Hermione taught Draco how to use a phone.

They had been sitting in the library so long, she looked up to see the time, it was already quarter to ten. She didn't know when the time had passed. She was having soo much fun. Teaching Draco how to use a mobile was like reading an fantasy book to a child. He looked so mesmerized by it all. A smile wouldn't leave his face. Hermione caught herself watching him, thinking how beautiful that smile looked in him. "I think this is enough for today Draco" he looked so disappointed that she didn't even wanna leave. But she was really tired. They both got up and left for their own dormitories.

A month passed and dracce and Hermione had made this a schedule. They emt every evening to study and to finish their work. Sometimes when the didn't have any work, they both just sat together and read some books. What Hermione thought was a friendship for her turned into something more. She started liking Draco as more than a friend.

Then arrived the presentation day. They had decided to show the class how to make a phone call and what happened after.

Hermione was very nervous as she entered the class room. They had been preparing for this for a very long time. She hoped it would go just fine.

One after another her friends gave their presentation. Harry had got an ipod, ron had got a smart watch, dean had got laptop. They all did very good. And then finally it was their turn. Hers and Draco's turn. They both went to the front of their class.

"good morning everybody, today I, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy are going to show you how to make a phone call. They both showed the class how to do it(I am sure you don't need to know). As their phones rung, Draco went out of the class to go away from hermion'e hearing distance. "hello?" Hermione started

"hello Hermione, how are you?"

"I am fine. What are you upto nowadays?"

"well there is one thing that I would like to ask you"

"yeah? Go ahead." Hermione's phone was on speaker as she said this.

"will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend Hermione? Spending these two weeks with you have been heavenly and I would like not to stop now."

Hermione smiled so wide that she was sure Draco could hear it in her voice. "yes, yes, yes" Draco appeared in the doorway as she said this. The whole class was applauding now. With harry, ron, pansy, and blaise shouting on the top of their lungs. Hermione forgot about her presentation AND RAN INTO DRACO'S ARMS.
