Hey guys! I am so sorry about abandoning this but I am back! I have a lot of downtime right now and I need a hobby so writing seems perfect to get back into, I hope I'm not too rusty lol. Also, I am writing this at 1am so they may be grammar and spelling mistakes and it is a little short I'm sorry about that. But I want to continue the next chapter as a fresh day. Also, in the last chapter I mentioned it was Saturday but for the sake of continuing story please act like its Sunday so tomorrow is Monday when they have school.
Despite being a bit annoyed with Tommy, Newt felt like he was on cloud nine. He walked home with a stupid grin on his face as he replayed the date that wasn't a date in his head. It went perfectly till the end; Newt did feel a bit flattered that Tommy was worried about him but he had everything under control…. he always did. He quickly got home and his overthinking was interrupted by a strong aroma of spaghetti. Newt groaned spaghetti was always difficult to purge. He forced a grin back on his face as he walked into the dining room and tried to think of a valid excuse for skipping dinner.
"Hello mum" Newt walked into the dining room as she set the table.
"Newt! You're just in time for dinner" she exclaimed.
"I don't know mum I'm really knackered and I have some homework to finish…"
"Just eat a bit please, I would really appreciate some family time."
Newt sighed and rubbed the back of his neck; Spaghetti was so hard to purge and he was meeting Miho at the track tomorrow after school maybe he would need the energy. He did feel a bit guilty he hasn't spent very much time with his family. On that note Ana came running into the room and started pulling Newt to his spot for dinning.
"Newt! I went to the park with Maria and it was so much fun, there was a new slide and…"
As Ana continued on and on his mom shot him a sympathetic look. Newt sighed he was basically trapped now. Dinner was called moments later the family sat down. Newt's mother asked about his study session and Newt promised his parents countless times that he did study and didn't goof around.
"Doubtful but I guess we'll see when your grades come out." Newts father responded. Newt looked at his plate, he just felt like a failure. Nothing he ever does feels good enough. The piece of garlic bread and forkful of spaghetti he had in his stomach felt like a rock. Newt's mom sent him a sharp look.
"Homey I am sure you will do great."
"Thanks mom, umm can I be excused I want to study more." His mom sent him a sympathetic and excused him.
Newt tried to block out what happened. With the cross-country season starting he knew he would have to keep food down but it's just so hard. When he's purging it's the only time he doesn't feel like a failure, it's gotten so addicted. He tried to clear his mind and work on some schoolwork. He finished some of his homework and about an hour later he could hear his parents arguing.
"Doesn't try hard enough…"
"You are too hard on him…"
"You baby him, he is in high school…"
Newt's heart dropped as he realized they were fighting about him. He just feels like whatever he does it's not enough. This was the finally straw, he had to feel better. Newt grabbed his shower supplies, quickly turned on the water and leaned over the toilet. This was the most urgent he felt in a while, he just needed to feel free. He stuck two fingers deep into his throat until he felt his gag reflexes working. About five minutes later the toilet bowl was full of grey sludge and strings from spaghetti. He came up from the toilet coughing, as expected the spaghetti was very stubborn about coming back up. He cleaned up the toilet, flushed it, and walked over to the mirror. He looked at himself with disappointment written all over his face, he was a mess. His face had a mixture of barf and tears and he felt utterly disgusting. But he also felt light and floaty, and he wasn't thinking about what he just heard or what his father thinks of him. The rest of Newt's night went in a haze. He showered, brushed his teeth and studied some more and finally around midnight he was ready to call it a night. He checked his phone before going to bed and his heart fluttered when he saw that he had a message from Tommy that was sent a few hours ago.
From Thomas: Goodluck Newt! I know you're going do great I'll see you at lunch. Newt's face went beet red, as he told himself Tommy is just being nice. The thought of him and Teresa eating with him and Minho is a bit stressful since Tommy already seems to be so critical of his eating habits. Newt pushed that thought to the back of his head and tried to remain positive. He wants to eat with us tomorrow, Newt had a huge grin as he responded.
To Thomas: Thanks Tommy! You were bloody brilliant helping me today.
For the first time in a while Newt fell right asleep, and he was feeling ready for what tomorrow would bring.
I'm sorry this is so short, please like and review! The reviews really inspired me to continue this story I read all of them and they make my day!
