Chapter 2
As the feast ended, Hermione got up to collect with all the other 8th year students. There were only eight of them including Hermione. Eight students back for eighth year, how ironic.
A few minutes later Dumbledore joined them. "follow me, my fellow students." He leads out the hall to the new building. "As Hogwarts has only been designed for students till 7th year, there is no place left for you all to stay. For this particular reason I got this building made." Dumbledore explained as they crossed the fields. "you got this Whole building made just so we could stay here!?" blaise exclaimed excitedly. "not so fast mr. Zabini, there are several rules, pros and cons to stay here." The old professor said with glint in his eye. Hermione did not like this. Professor was upto something, and Hermione did not want to be a part of this.
'8th year dorms' was written on a small board outside the building. It looked even better up close. Hermione was stunned into silence when she it from the inside though!
It was huge. It was gorgeous. Better than any dorms Hermione had ever seen. Hermione looked at the others and saw similar expressions to what was on her face. After seeing that everyone has recovered Dumbledore finally started with rules.
"so here goes, but please don't kill me after hearing them, I know you all are more than capable of killing me .
Everyone should be inside their dorms by 10:30, doesn't matter how late you go to sleep.
You can have food anywhere, either in the great hall or here in your kitchen.
There is a door on the extreme right, that can take you to anywhere in Hogwarts. I know we can not apparate inside Hogwarts but this is allowed so as not to waste your time too much.
On every Sunday, you have to plan an activity with your room mate
And at last coming to topic of room mates, you cn choose anybody as yours. But it is compulsory that you have one as there are eight of you and only four dorms. There are two single beds, two cupboards, one bathroom and two study tables in each room.
Have fun everybody, hope you can put aside your differences and enjoy after what took place earlier this year."
Hermione was so shocked by what Dumbledore had just said, but she hadn't realized who was she sharing a room with. She looked at all the 7 students around her. All of them were in pairs, except one. Luna and Neville had decided to share a dorm, yes they had started dating after the war. Seamus and dean had obviously paired together and Pansy and Blaise were to share a room, as they were also dating. This meant…she turned with horror to face him. She couldn't believe it. No she wont allow it. She wont share her dorm with the ferret! But she knew t was no good, Dumbledore had finally announced that there were to be no changes.
Without meeting his eyes, Hermione shoved past him to the room to the extreme right.
As she sat down her bed she thought, "ateast I van go to the library straight from here. Maybe I will spend the night there too .
