The Lord family became prosperous by acquiring many Hellman assets, including the Banner in 1904. By the time Victor was born however, their business went into the great depression. In 1936, the Banner finally found a distribution partner In the Form of Quartermaine International of Corinth, Vermont.
That deal paid off during World war two and the cold war, but it got severed when Quartermaine International became ELQ International incorporated in 1967.
