When class was over Hermione was surprised that Fred was waiting for her. Hermione looked at him concerned and asked,
"Have you been waiting for me?"
Fred just nodded and walking with her in silence. Hermione was confused about it all. Fred on the other hand knew what he was doing. He wanted to be a good friend to Hermione and then maybe she will realize that he is the guy she wanted all along. Fred said his good byes to Hermione once he walked her to her class. Now he had to run across the school to get to his class on time. Fred quickly ran to Charms and he made it right in time. Professor Flickwick was just arriving. Fred saw that George saved him a seat. He headed over to his twin and sat down. Professor Flickwick started class and George leaned over and whispered,
"Why were you almost late?"
"I was walking Mione to her class." Fred said.
George just shook his head at his twin. He knew that Fred liked Hermione but he did not know that he like her that much. The rest of the day went by fast. Every class Hermione left, Fred was there waiting for her. Hermione felt special for him to wait and walk her to her next class.
They were talking while they walked to the Great Hall for dinner. Hermione was sharing her day and Fred told her about Georges' and his plans for the shop expansion. Hermione was pleased to hear that Fred and George were thinking of putting a Weasley Wizard Wheezes in Hogsmeade. As they entered the Great Hall, Draco appreciated them saying,
"Professor McGonagall wants to see us before dinner."
Hermione said her goodbyes to Fred and headed to the Headmistress' office. They walked in silence until Draco broke the silence,
"What's going on with you and the Weasley twin?"
"One, which Weasley twin? Fred or George?"
"Fred,"
"Two nothing, we are just good friends. They let me stay at their place while I was mad at Ron and did not want to be a Borrow with him there." Hermione stated.
"Sure, just friends." Draco said with air quotations.
"Yes just friends. I am really close with the both of them now that we got live with each other and they both are like brothers to me. That is it." Hermione said confused on why he did air quotes.
They got to the Headmistress office. Hermione knocked on her door. They heard a faint enter. They entered slowly not knowing what they were summoned for. Hermione saw McGonagall behind the large desk. She could picture Dumbledore sitting there. It was weird not seeing him there.
"I was just telling Dumbledore about you bring the houses together by your speech, Miss Granger." McGonagall said looking at Dumbledore's patriate.
"Well, Headmistress what is it that you wanted to talk to both of us?" Draco asked.
"Oh yes, the thing is I thought that it would be a good idea if we could have a ball or a party for the students. I wanted you two and the prefects to set it up and organize it." Headmistress McGonagall explained. "Another thing is that I want two of them. One I want to be a proper ball and the other one you can decide. You can pick which holidays to do them on. But you have to get my okay on all of the themes."
"Of course Professor McGonagall. The ball idea is such a good idea. It is exactly what we all need after what we been through.
*Author's note*
I wanted my readers help on who should go with how for the balls. There will be two balls and they are probably going to Halloween and winter balls. I like having my readers input on the story. I love reading all of your comments and seeing what you have to say. I can't wait to see who you think should go to the balls together. You can make the same people go together twice or mix them up for the first and second ball. I want to hear all your ideas. Comment them in the comments or message me if you want.
