AC Ch.22
Hermione started to get ready for school. She came back downstairs to find Draco still asleep on the couch. After the talk they had in the morning, they feel asleep on the couch. Hermione slowly walked over to Draco and screamed in his ear.
Draco jumped from the couch and into the air. He landed right on his back when he feel to the ground. He looked up to see Hermione laughing on the ground. Draco got up and ran after Hermione. She ran out of the door and down the hall. All you could hear was a fit of giggles coming from the hall. Hermione was not watching where she was going and hit into someone big.
"I am sorry Mione. I did not see you there. I was distracted by someone's laughter." Fred said helping Hermione up.
"It's alright Fred. I should have been looking at where I was going. I was too busy running from Draco." Hermione said between laughs.
Draco finally caught up to Hermione and he stopped in his tracks. He looked from Hermione and then to Fred.
"What happened here?" Draco asked.
"As I was running away from you I hit into Freddie here." Hermione explained.
"Now my question is why were you running from Draco Mione?" Fred asked.
"I woke him up by screaming in his ear when he was asleep on the couch. His face was priceless." Hermione explained laughing. Fred started to snicker with Hermione. They started to walk to the Great Hall when they heard someone scream,
"Hermione Hermione!" A young girl wearing Gryffindor colors said running up to Hermione.
"Yes," Hermione said with a pause.
"Headmistress McGonagall would like to see you." The girl said then skipped away to the entrance of the Great Hall.
Hermione said her good-byes to the boys and headed to Headmistress office. Hermione thought to herself on why McGonagall would want to see her.
"Headmistress you wanted to see me?" I asked walking into her office.
"Yes my dear. I was just thinking about the dance and I have not have had any update yet. How is the progress going. Halloween is coming soon and I need to know your ideas. I was wondering if you and Mr. Malfoy could bring by your ideas and show me later on today." Headmistress McGonagall asked.
"Is that mamma?" Hermione asked.
"Yes there is. I almost forgot. I was wondering if there was any other problems with the house unity?" She asked.
Hermione stood there thinking for a while but the only thing that could go to mind about that was Ron's behavore toward it all.
"No mamma. The only thing I could think of was Ron's behavior about it all. But there has been some spats from different students but nothing the prefects or Draco and I could not handle. Everything is going very well with the house unity. I think Dumbledore would be very pleased about this all." Hermione said looking at Dumbledore's portitate.
"I agree with you Miss Granger. Albus would be very greatful about all this positive change that he has been trying to put into action for years." McGonagall stated with a smile.
Hermione walked to the Great Hall to meet up with the others. As she was walking she heard voices coming from the other hall. She could not hear what they were saying but Hermione recognized one of the voices to be Ron. She watched Ron walk away from a guy that she did not recognize before. She was not sure if he was a student or not.
She quickly ran to find Draco to tell him what she saw. She did not know who to trust with this information. She did not know what they were talking about but she was getting a bad felling about it.
"Hey Mione there you are. We thought you were stuck doing something horrible for Professor McGonagall," Fred started.
"Like sorting the library and have to restock the books in order. Oh wait that is not horrible for you. I almost forgot." George finished Fred's sentence smirking.
"Haha very funny you two. No she did not need me for that. I am going to have to remember that punishment for when you two get in trouble. But wait, that might not be a good idea for you either. Don't want to give you any ideas on how to torture the school even more." Hermione said evilly.
The twins gave her a flirty grin with their eyes giving that charming sparkle. Hermione just shook her head and sat down. She looked around to see if Ron was around and he was not. There was no sign of Ron in the Great Hall. But Hermione swears that he was heading that way. She followed him this way. How else did he escape her, Hermione asked herself.
"Is everything alright Mione?" Fred asked rubbing her back soothingly.
"What? Oh yeah. I'm fine. Harry can I barrow the map later on today? I want to see something." Hermione asked with her thoughts wondering.
"Yeah, sure. What is it for?" Harry asked curiously.
"I think some younger year student is going to pull a dangerous prank and I don't want anyone hurt. I want to stop them before it goes to far." Hermione lied right through her teeth.
"What someone is doing a prank with out us. We haven't even started our pranks yet. We have been so busy talking about our business and that stuff that we have not done the one thing that made us want to come back to school." George stated.
"Gred do you know what this means?" Fred asked standing up.
"Yes I do Feorge. We have to start planing now." George reassured Fred.
"Oh no. Why did I open my big mouth. This year was going so well." Hermione said putting her face into her hands and shook her head.
"Oh don't worry Mione. We will be careful and we won't do anything to dangerous. Anyway if we find that student who is going to do that dangerous prank we will put a stop to it for you. If it means to take some stress or pressure off your shoulders." Fred said resting his hand on Hermione's shoulder.
"That is very sweet of you Fred. Thank you but I think I will handle this student myself but the thought counts." Hermione got up and kissed Fred on the cheek and she then left the Great Hall.
