Lucas Pelekai was born in 1941. He was a biracial and the only son of Margaret Pelekai, who died along with him in a car accident similar to Lilo's parents. As a teenager, his parents divorced and he lived alone. His mother didn't like him either.
But he became a humble store owner until he got involved in a car accident with Margaret. He died in 1991. His wife was Trish Yeung and his second son is Jack Pelekai (born in 1985), who married Jasmine Ng and has a daughter named Lexi (born 2011).
