The crimson optics studied the Autobot and his pet. He was hidden behind the motorway, just over the arch of support. He hated those beings because... Because he just hated them. They were small, squishy, noisy, messy and annoying. And yet he didn't know where did that feeling come from. He didn't like them... But they were interesting. He wouldn't mind having a look at their inventions, experience their culture and learn from them, but he was a Decepticon after all. He had to hate them.
He watched how the little human hugged the Autobot, lovingly. His expression darkened in envy as his servos clenched into fists. He wanted someone to do the same with him. Even though he would never admit it, in the very core of his spark, he wished he could have a friend like that one, someone he could protect like that bug did. He was the most flawless Decepticon on the Nemesis, and yet no one payed him more attention than just for medical assistance, stupid nonsense missions or to receive an scolding someone else should be receiving. He wanted an excuse to exit the warship and feel free.
He moved from his hiding, and walked away, leaving the Autobot behind. Once he was sure they couldn't spot him, he transformed into a shiny crimson sports car, and speeded up, driving away as fast as he could. He may still take part into a race or two before someone noticed he was missing.
He walked down the dark hallway, silently. He occasionally found a vehicon or two, but since he was a high ranked officer, he could just walk by without giving explanation. He was fine with the idea, after all, the vehicons didn't question him, and the vehicons were glad to be just ignored. Good thing. He entered the Med Bay, his domain, ready to relax and ignore mild medical cases. But it seemed that wasn't gonna be possible. Starscream was waiting for him.
"Knockout! Where have you been?" The seeker demanded. "You were supposed to be here doing your work."
"Oh, Starscream, I just went for a drive." The red mech said vaguely, a bored expression on his face, not really looking at him.
"If you sneak away again, you will have problems, I assure it to you." The SIC hissed menacingly. "Watch your back, doctor."
"Sure 'Screamer." The doctor replied annoyed. The grey mech exited the room, leaving him alone. "Go rust yourself!" Knockout muttered. He didn't dared to say aloud what he thought, but he just added mentally, 'One day, all this will change, and I will never ever have to bear you anymore.'
