A month after the battle with Cerise, Raven and Apple were in the Dark Forest, heading for the last Gym.
"For a place called the Dark Forest, it's pretty nice here," said Apple as the two walked down the street.
"But there are some bad people around," said Raven as several Team Rocket Grunts came out.
"Well, I never thought you would befriend Apple White, Raven," said the Evil Queen as she came out of the crowd.
"She's more than a friend, mother," said Raven as she pushed Apple behind her, but kept a hold of one hand.
"Godmother, you're dating that little princess?" asked the Evil Queen with a disgusted voice.
"Why don't you and your thugs just get out of here and leave us alone?" asked Raven.
"I have a better idea, how about we have a battle?" asked the Evil Queen as she held up a pokeball.
"Wait, how many Pokemon do you have?" asked Apple.
"Six, why do you want to know?" asked the Evil Queen.
"Because Raven doesn't have a full team, but I do, so how about the two of us battle?" asked Apple.
"Apple, no, this is my battle not yours," said Raven.
"It became our battle when we started dating, Raven," said Apple before giving Raven a quick kiss.
"For a little princess you sure are brave," said the Evil Queen.
"Shut up and send out your Pokemon, because this little prince is going to wipe the floor with you," said Apple as she sent out Togepi.
"That little egg is about to break," said the Evil Queen before spending out a Liepard.
"Good luck, Apple," said Raven.
