As soon as he was out, Bumblebee buzzed past by his right, driving at more than 180 mi/h. Now that was real speed, Knockout though speeding up. He got by his side and talked. "Hey, Bumblebee. Listen to me. I've got an idea, but you may not like it."

*What's your plan?* The yellow Urbana asked distrustingly.

"We're gonna jump out of the road, concretely into a canyon. As soon as we're in the air, let the bomb free and prepare for a triumphant entrance through a ground bridge. If everything goes well, we will be at your base in few more breems." The red Aston Martin explained. "You've gotta drive five miles more and we will reach our destination."

*Got it.* Bumblebee beeped. *Hope your plan works.*

"I hope so." The Decepticon added, getting nervous. "How fast are you driving now?"

*185 mi/h.* He answered. *I still can keep driving, but I'm starting to feel exhausted.*

"K, buddy. Just hold on a bit more. We're almost done." Those words left Knockout's vocaliser, and he really meant them. That got Bumblebee's attention. He had never heard a Decepticon saying anything like that. But soon dismissed it as they were reaching the last lane. "Keep like that, Bumblebee. I'm gonna get ready."

The red mech speeded up and left the scout behind. He reached the precise place, and he managed to break the security walls down. The Autobot came fast, it was then or never. "Bumblebee, now!" The doctor shouted, letting the gravity embrace him and letting himself freefall.

The scout drove out of the highway, straight into the canyon, right into the void. The younger mech transformed, getting the artefact out into the air. The 'Con got closer to him when Bumblebee attended to call the Autobots, but Knockout stopped him. "No. If you do it, Starscream will know you're alive. And if he comes here, he will discover me helping you. I'm not ready to face that yet." Instead, he hurried to comm. the old doctor. "Ratchet, now!"

The ground was coming fast, and the bomb kept falling too. If the fall didn't kill them, the explosion would do it. A dead end. They had the bomb almost on them and there was no ground bridge sign. Finally the green vortex opened for them. They crossed it as they felt the explosion's heat right on their backs. They both closed their optics as they trespassed it... They appeared into the base, sliding into the floor and crushing into the front wall, followed by a burst of blue fire. The ground bridge was closed and the explosion ceased. They were safe now.

They took a moment to vent deeply, not fully believing they were still online.

"That was close." Knockout laughed. "Let's not do this again."

*Agreed.* The yellow Urbana beeped with trembling voice. There was a silence before the red mech talked again.

"Would you mind getting off me?" The 'Con finally asked, pushing him off. "You are scratching my paint job!"

The Autobots helped the scout getting up, carefully as he was lead to the med bay.

*Knockout.* Bumblebee called out. *Won't the Decepticons track your signal once you get out form the ground bridge?* He asked confused.

"No. I've distorted my signal." He answered. "Some little 'Con tricks." He added grinning.
