A New Beginning
Summary: Hei brought Yin to another country to start a new life.
Disclaimer: Darker Than Black is not mine.
Warning: English is not my first language.
Yin haven't woke up ever since I separated her soul from the Izanami. I have no clue what to do with her current state. I kept holding her hand hoping that someday she'll wake up again. In numerous occasion: I heard her calling my name, screaming for help. All I can do now is calming her down by a hug—sometimes, I wonder if she ever going to wake up from the nightmare.
It's only me and her now. I moved to another country to begin a new life with Yin. I haven't used my power here, nothing seemed to endanger us yet. I work here and there to get some money for our living. It almost feels like I'm regular person now, with Yin stuck on her slumber.
It terrified me; if I have to continue being alive without her. After everything that I've done to save her, everything that happened in the past. She's the only one that gave me a purpose to keep going. Without her... I will lose my mind for sure.
"Does she even want to be save?" that woman voice is still repeating in my head. I wonder what Yin's feeling. I wonder what's her thought about all of these. Is she going to be sad because the Izanami is still alive killing everyone? Or will she be happy because we're finally together? I'm sorry that I couldn't kill you, Yin. I can't keep losing every single person that I care in this world, I can't lose you, I don't want to lose you.
"Yin..." I kissed her forehead.
The sound of her breathing is the only answer I got. I sighed: getting up from the bed to prepare myself for work. When I change my shirt, I sensed her sudden move. I glanced toward her and approached.
She finally open her eyes.
