Dear Diary,
The first week of school is over, which means it's about time to start planning the first big prank of the year. I've already messed with a couple of first-years, but it's only now truly beginning. Last year I was basically just James' apprentice, but now I'm in second year and I am ready to plan my own prank and make it awesome. It has to be something fitting of Dad's and Uncle Fred's legacy. I'm thinking maybe unleashing something in the halls, or slipping some love potion into people's drinks. I'll work out the details later, but it's gonna be good. It would help if I could convince James to lend me the Marauder's Map, but since Uncle Harry gave it to him last week he's been super protective of it. No doubt he's planning a prank of his own. I can do fine without it, though; I am named after one of the greatest pranksters of all time.
On another note, cousin Rose joined Gryffindor house a week ago, and she's already proved herself to be quite the hindrance to pranks. She keeps acting like she's the one in charge. Kind of like Aunt Hermione, I guess. Except nobody elected her to be anything. But she's still my cousin, and I love her, which means she will be getting double the usual amount of pranking.
Anyway, it's time for dinner, so I will return to planning my master prank later.
Sincerely,
Fred Weasley
