Dear Diary,
Mum says I should start a diary. She says I'll want to remember how I was. I think there's no reason to remember much of this; it's all pretty boring now. Dad took me to the Ministry for Take-Your-Kids-to-Work-Day; I got to sit around and watch him write papers and have meetings about broomstick regulations. I asked if I could go see Uncle Harry and Lily in the Auror department, and he got all offended and said that was fine if I didn't want to spend any time with him. I tried to say that I love spending time with him and I just don't like his work, but he was still all offended, so I said okay, I would stay. Hugo was there for a little bit, with Aunt Hermione, but she was too busy to have him around most of the day, plus he said he'd rather hang out with Uncles Ron and George and Roxanne in the joke shop. I wonder what the joke shop is like.
I'm not sure what else to write. Mum made steak pie for dinner. Oh, and we got a letter from Molly. Gryffindor won its first match of the season. Big surprise there, they always win.
Anyway, I have other things to do now.
Love,
Lucy Weasley
