(Open to the Cathy's house at night. Cathy is fast asleep when a beam of light gets shone on her face)
Cathy: G-grandpa.. Turn off the light.. (opens her eyes) Huh?
(An alien appears from behind, putting Cathy in a sack. In the nearby room Alex, who is curled up in a ball is woken up by the noise.)
Alex: Cathy, was that you? (Alex sees a shadowy figures carrying a moving sack) (gasp) Hey! You let her go! (The two figures put him in the sack, too) I said let her go not capture me as well! Release me this instant!
Cathy: (From the other bag) Alex is that you?
Alex: Cathy! Where are we going?!
Cathy: Really?! How can I tell when I'm trapped in this bag!?
Alex: Valid point.
(Then an hour later, the figures landed on a station, where they dropped the bags.)
Danny: (in a separate bag) Oomph! Hey easy on the landing!
Alex: Danny? How did you get here?
Danny: Probably the same way you did. Here a noise, go to see what it is, then get bagged.
Alex: Okay..
Speedy: (in yet another bag) It's not just you three. All of us are here.
?: (sigh) I said bring them here in the pod, not capture them in the bags.
?: It was Sev's idea.
Cathy: T-that voice.
Alex: You guys better let us out of these!
(All of them are let out of their bags)
Grono: Hey lil' Alien! Boy is Captain Shard going to be happy to see you.
Cathy: Wait.. Did he say...
(A Rhapsodian appears.)
Shard: Welcome to MBP, sweetie.
Cathy: (gasp) Daddy!
All: Daddy?!
(Cathy runs over to Shard & hugs him.)
Shard: Hi! My little Rhapsodian!
Danny: This alien is your father?!
(Tema enters)
Tema: And my boss.
All: Tema?!
Sam: Wait! Boss? You mean..
(Tema pulls the hair away from her eyes, which turn out to be alien-like & similar to Franky's.)
Tema: Surprise.
Franky: Well that would explain her strength.
Speedy: So you're part of the MBP?
Tema: Yup. Welcome to Monster Buster Police Station, Monster Busters.
Alex: You mean.. The greatest busters of all the galaxies are here?! (looks at Shard) Even my uncle?!
Cathy: but I thought that you were.. were.. (takes in a deep breath) dead like mom.
Shard: I nearly was. But this suit has health packs that kept me alive.
(Alex looks at his arm)
Alex: Like how I was fitted with a Rhapsodian arm after that landslide.
Shard: Exactly. (sigh) However that couldn't be said about your mom.
(Flashback to Shard & his wife, Soldier Olisa Smith are fighting off alien criminals as we then see a baby version of Rhapsodian Cathy fast asleep)
Shard: (Narration) When you were just a little Nyara, criminals were coming at us from all directions. It was starting to overwhelm the both of us. But then things to a turn for the worst.
(Raga appears & goes for her throat. We then hear a shriek of pain)
Flashback Shard: Olisa!
(Shard catches her)
Olisa: Shard.. the baby... protect her..
(The Rhapsodian's body falls out of her husband's arms & onto the ground, lifelessly. Shard gets to his knees, mourning the loss of his wife when he hears baby Cathy crying as Raga is about to kill her too.)
Flashback Shard: You get away from her!
(Shard grabs hold of his infant child & blasts Raga in the stomach, knocking him across the room. He then proceeds to bust the alien with a Vac Vader when Raga smoke bombs the place & escapes.)
Shard: (Narration) Some time had passed after your mom died & I eventually trusted my dad to help take care of you while I tracked down the criminals that managed to escape.
(See Shard talking to Mr. Smith, a retired soldier)
Flashback Shard: You promise that she will be okay?
Flashback Hugo: She's in good hands, Shard. Of that I'm certain.
Flashback Shard: I want you to make sure she is trained in the ways of the MBC. So that way when the time comes for it she will be ready to avenge her mother.
Flashback Hugo: As you wish.
(We then see a little bit older version of the younger Cathy as she starts to grab onto her father's leg)
Baby Cathy: Daddy.
(Shard pats his daughter on the head)
Flashback Shard: Daddy's gotta go.
Baby Cathy: Is Daddy going to come back?
Flashback Shard: I promise I'll come back to see you once you are older. Now I want you to listen to what your grandpa says. Can you promise me that?
Baby Cathy: Yes, Daddy.
Flashback Shard: Now give your dad one last hug.
(the two Rhapsodians hug each other. He then stops hugging as he heads off to his ship & leaves)
Baby Cathy: (tearing up) Bye bye Daddy.
Flashback Hugo: Don't worry Cathy, he'll be back. I'm sure of it.
(She then hugs her Grandpa as he comforts his granddaughter. Thus ending the flashback.)
Cathy: That was the last I ever saw of you.
(Look behind her as we see the others trying not to tear up themselves for their friend's sake.)
Franky: Oh my gods. That's the saddest story that I've ever heard.
Shard: Now I would like for you to meet my finest busters. Sev, Grono, Zeborp, Tema, & our recent addition.. (Leedy enters)
Speedy: Leedy!
Leedy: Fancy seeing you here again.
Paige: The First Class Busters. I never thought I'd see them. Let alone would they be my old team.
Shard: Welcome back, Paige. I'm glad that you came, third-class buster.
Mimi: (looks at Paige) You mean this was your original team?
Paige: Yep. And given that Leedy is here I assume she was my replacement. Though I have to ask. Why exactly are we here & for how long?
Shard: Don't worry. You're visit here is just temporary.
Cathy: That still don't explain why we're here though.
Alex: Or why of all things did we have to be brought here via bag.
(Sev twiddles his thumbs while Grono whistles innocently.)
Shard: Do not worry about those two. They've messed up sometimes, even though they're first class.
Sam: You keep mentioning classes. What are they to begin with?
Shard: Well, this station is also to train the students to become busters. This holds the greatest power of enemies in solitary confinement. Come.. (They all walk to the first cell as Shard looks down at his Daughter & Nephew) I believe that you two have come to know this one rather well.
(Gluten appears in the jail cell)
MBC: Gluten!
Juan & Mimi: Who?
Cathy: That slimy creep captured me & tried to sell me on the black market as a slave!
Alex: And he captured me & attempted to transform me into a primitive monster for his intergalactic zoo!
Shard: Do not fear. The bars are impulsed with A+ Temiasium. He'll never get out.
Speedy: Thank goodness for that.
Shard: The next jail cell is Blosium, a sphere which stops one of our fastest criminals.. A.K.A: Veedy
(They looked at a sphere ball where we see Veedy with bruise marks all over his body)
Tema: He might be here but whatever happened before that the guy sure took one heck of a beating.
Speedy: eh heh
Leedy: Uhh.. Yeah
Shard: The third is a SG, known as System GamePlex... Where we keep one of the more intelligent aliens...
Franky & Danny: (through their teeth) Proskar!
(Proskar is messing around with a Rubik's cube when he hears voices coming toward his cell.)
Proskar: Why hello there, fancy meeting the two of you again here of all places...
Shard: Even though he's the craziest, he has a smart, brain chip that creates weapons.
Proskar: And I managed to fool Grono by playing Chess. (laughs)
Grono: (Groans) Don't remind me! It wasn't a pleasant experience.
Tema: I gotta give it to Franky for freeing me from his control though. After all, the Venusian brain isn't a toy..
(They continue on as they show the cells of Wedge, Mirage, The Hypnaghoul, The Flying Dutchmen, The Cresua, Mafuse, & Nossida Single)
Shard: Then finally here we have the strongest, smartest, ruthless, destructive, heartless criminal of them all, but he managed to escape many months ago. You have come to know him as Raga.
Juan: Well, he's kind of family.
Shard: Yeah.. The Uncle of Yin. You don't know the story about the two brothers?
Juan: What do you mean?
Shard: Did Terra ever tell you the the story of Yin & Yang?
Sam: I don't seem to recall. Though if I had to guess Agar is the Yin & Raga is Yang.
Shard: Actually it's quite the opposite. Agar is the Yang, shows love & light. Raga is the Yin, the darkness & pain
Alex: And that is Yin how exactly?
Shard: The two brothers are known to be separated due to Raga's temper with Agar's strength will cause chaos. We tried to catch Raga, but he is the one criminal of pain, blood, and monstrous fever. He never stops until his plan is fulfilled.
Alex: So that would explain why he keeps sending his cronies after us.
Shard: That's why I needed you.
Alex: So we can take down Raga?
Shard: Yes. I hereby proclaimed the MBC, training students, third-class.
Franky: This may sound a bit crude but what exactly is wrong with just finishing him off completely?
Shard: If Raga isn't captured.. He will cause mass chaos!
Tema: Uh, sir I think she means- (Tema slides her finger across her throat)
Shard: Oh.. Don't worry. Just think positively. Raga is nothing more to power.
Chris: Well then.
Alex: Wait does Uncle Hugo know about this?
(Mr. Smith enters from a corner)
Mr. Smith: You can say it that way, kiddo. (back cracks) Though my son's arsenal could've been a bit more careful with the travel.. (cracking his back) Oooh.
Shard: Sorry about that, Dad. (He looks back at the MBC) Anyways, we better get to training.
All: Yes sir.
(Meanwhile on a spaceship..)
Raga: Renzat! Hack into the computer system of MBP. (See that Renzat is looking at a hidden camera with a worried look on her face.) Renzat!
(Renzat ran to Raga)
Renzat: Yes sir.
Raga: What's taking that prison break so long?
Renzat: The prisoners are having an issue. The MBC are there.
Raga: WHAT!?
Renzat: The MBC are there.. (whimpers)
Raga: I heard what you sa- (moans in annoyance) Just give me the surveillance camera.
(Renzat shows him a surveillance camera which shows something that very much surprises Raga)
Raga: Is that Captain Shard Smith? I thought I got rid of him years ago.
Renzat: Actually, he survived during the war. The Secondary Soldier, Olisa Smith, is the one who died.
Raga: (turns around, contacting Gluten) Gluten.
Gluten: Yes, who is it?
Raga: You know who it is, sludge for brains!
Gluten: Hello, boss. Sorry, about the plan..
Raga: I know that the MBC are there. Where's Proskar & Veedy?
Gluten: Veedy & Proskar are in the cells to my left.
Raga: Tell them there's been a change of plans.. I have a better one in mind. We'll take the fight to them & this time they won't even know what hit them..
(Meanwhile at the food gallery of MBP.)
Danny: Hmm.. mushroom paste, tomato paste, apricot paste..
Alex: Hey there isn't any Peanut paste with this is there?
Lunch Staff: Why?
Sam: He's a Vermal.
Lunch Staff: Don't worry, we fixed up the pastes with the correct labels.. (Mimi is eating Galactic Food pastes.) And that will be 10 dollars.
Mimi: 10 dollars?
Cathy: I got this. (she gives $10 to the lunch staff, then the lunch staff left) (sigh) Guys, I'm worried.
Sam: What do you mean?
Cathy: I don't know if I can face Raga.. I don't want to end up like my mom.
Alex: Hey, you've done it before.
Cathy: I know but that was before I found out about what happened.. I mean.. Raga has so much power and.. (she imagines about being attacked by Raga)
Alex: You don't have to worry about a thing! You got your grandfather, your dad, me, & many many friends who would do anything for you just to keep you safe.
Cathy: Thanks, guys-
(The alarm went off & the lights flash red.)
MBComputer: ALIEN JAIL BREAK! ALIEN JACK BREAK!
(Shard runs in)
Shard: All hands on deck! This is not a drill! I repeat! This is not a drill!
(At the prison, Proskar, Veedy & Wedge are trying to break Gluten out)
Gluten: Hurry!
Wedge: We're trying to hurry as fast as we can.
?: Allow me gentlemen.
(The Cresua comes over)
Proskar: And how are you going to-
(The Cresua's arm changes into a huge blade & slashes the bars.)
Veedy: Holy Snits!
Cresua: I believe my work here is done.
Gluten: Wait.. You can help us escape.. Our boss is a mastermind criminal..
Cresua: I know. Your boss freed me so that way I can free you for... (he looks over at Wedge, Veedy & Proskar) reasons to say the least.
Veedy: So it's just the five of us?
Renzat: Wrongo!
(Look behind the Armingous Ninat to see Mirage, The Hypnaghoul, The Flying Dutchmen, Mafuse & Nossida Single)
Shard: Halt!
Hypnaghoul: We got this one.
(The Hypnaghoul & Mirage attack the barricade of MBP officers. Including Shard & his fleet.)
Shard: Shields!
(They activated the shields to protect themselves.)
Danny: This is the most chaos I've ever seen in my entire life!
(Then a blast came out, through the port Raga's ship came by.)
Raga: Greetings.. Old "Friend"!
Shard: Raga!
Mr. Smith: This is not good.
Shard: (looks at Cathy) Cathy! You & your friends find somewhere safe. We'll take care of him.
Cathy: Dad!
Shard: Go! I can't risk losing you again!
(The MBC ran.)
Raga: I got tired of sending my pawns out to do my work for me. So I thought I would do it myself. And now my army is complete...
(Shard grabbed a Vac Vader)
Shard: Don't move, you one-eye!
(Mafuse comes from behind & grabs Shard by the neck)
Cathy: DAD!
(Cathy tries to run over to his aid but everyone is holding her back)
Raga: Trap him! (Proskar grabs the Vac Vader and trapped Shard inside. Cathy starts to tear up. Tema, Mr. Smith & Leedy are among some of the others who get captured)
Cathy: D-dad.. No!
Sam: Cathy! We have to get going now! We wouldn't stand a chance to him at this point.
(Cathy runs off with Sam)
Raga: Find the MBC. Now! And make sure to bring the Rhapsodian girl back to me alive.
All: Yes sir!
(Cut to the MBC in another room, Cathy crying.)
Juan: Don't worry, Cathy. We'll get him back.
Sev: It's going to be okay, Cathy..
Grono: He risked his tail to protect you. Let it out, Cat..
(Grono hugs Cathy tightly while she cries)
Alex: (In his mind) At least you still have parents.
Cathy: (wipes her tears away) Dad's right.. I should think positively.. (inhales, then exhales) That time I beat up that alien.. That time I went to that party.. The time I went to my friends.. Just forget about worries. Alright! Let's go save my daddy!
Zeborp: That a girl!
Cathy: And I have a plan, but we'll need help.
Sam: From who?
Cathy: From a couple of friends..
(Cut to see Raga in a room isolated off from the rest of the vicinity holding Shard's vessel close by)
Raga: Now watch & behold as all that you have worked for gets destroyed. Including your own fleet & family.
(All Shard can do is merely watch in horror as Raga sets electricity to Tema, Leedy, & Mr. Smith)
Grono: Wow.. I didn't think that you knew this many people.
(see Casanova Vine, Elton, Shadie, Colorblind, Gilbert, Mixer, Agar, Terra, Kat, Tina, Treedy, Globbee & Zoom-Blaze all ready to help)
Cathy: Okay here's what we do. We will split up into multiple groups. Each with 3-5 members in it to confront the criminals. That way each will be outnumbered & easier to take out. Once when all of that is done we will confront Raga.
All: Right!
(Later.. Mafuse & Hypnaghoul are looking for the gang.)
?: Hey boys! I need help~
(Shadie, Crono, and Sev, in disguises, come over in the distance)
Mafuse: Who are you?!
Shadie: We're the space belly dancers three, may we show you the stage?
Both: Sure~
(The two then lead them to the stage. Suddenly, Tina from above them drops a bucket of water on Mafuse)
Mafuse: GAH! It burns!
Hypnaghoul: What?!
(Then Danny busts them both)
Shadie: Good job, Danny!
Danny: Thanks.
Grono: Can I keep this dress? It makes me look pretty.
(Tina facepalms. Veedy is looking for the busters when he comes across something)
Veedy: Gluten is that you? (We then see that Globbee is used as bait to lure him into a trap) Gluten say something. (Globbee then pounces Veedy. Trapping him on the floor.) Woah! (Casanuva Vine then comes in & scratches at his face.) Gah! Stop that!
(Mimi then uses her Vac Vader to bust him.)
Mimi: Good boy, Globbee! (The Sticky pup show its affection my submerging her) You did great too, Casanova.
(Casanova Vine purrs in delight)
(Meanwhile..)
Proskar: (looks around) Hmm..
Gilbert: Hey Nut-Bolt!
Sam: Over here!
Proskar: Hey!
(Sam appears on the other end)
Sam: Over here. Turn around.
Proskar: What the! (turns around)
(Sam appears on the other end again)
Sam: Confusing for you Proskar?
Proskar: I'm getting.. Dizzy.
Mixer: Mix Mix MIX!
(Mixer then swaps the mind of Proskar with a sloth)
Proskar: (inside a body of a sloth) What?!
Mixer: Ha Ha Ha! Pro Pro sound funny to Mixer in hairy animal body.
Sam: Thanks, Colorblind. Your paint decoy tactic went without a hitch.
(The other Sam turns out to be Colorblind.)
Colorblind: Thanks.
(Gluten & Mirage are seen traveling through the building's plumbing)
Kat: They're coming. I see them.
Zeborp: Now!
(Chris pulls down levers, that switches the pipes to an opened one with Alex charged up for the ready.)
Alex: Let's zap this thing!
(Alex grabbed a pipe & shocks it. Gluten & Mirage are electrified while inside)
Gluten: Aahhhh!
Mirage: HEHDHUEHBUREBHBRUAH!
(They make it out of the pipe & onto the floor, but Chris busts them both. The Cresua came in, growling.)
Franky: Oh no you don't.
(Franky comes in from the side drop kicking the Cresua)
Cresua: Ow! Again?!
Zoom-Blaze: Hey big guy! Remember me? (Whacks the Cresua on the head & uses a Vac Vader to bust the Cresua.)
Paige: H-hi Zoom-Blaze.
Elton: How does he know how to use that?
Paige: I taught him.
(A blur passes by & the pipe is put back into place)
Treedy: Alright that should take care of the plumbing issue.
Speedy: Where's Cathy?
Chris: I heard she went off to find Raga at the command center.
Alex: All by herself!? I got to go help her!
(Alex runs straight for the command center while in the process we see the others bust The Flying Dutchmen & Wedge)
(Meanwhile on the command center.)
Raga: (chuckles) This plan will be ready and ever- (he senses Cathy's presence) Hello, little Rhapsodian.
Cathy: You let my father go! And his team!
Mr. Smith: Cathy what are you doing here?
Tema: Run while you still can!
Alex: (Off screen) Cathy! Let me handle this!
Cathy: Alex?
(Alex chews on the wire putting the electricity through Raga's machine. Allowing for the others to be freed.)
Leedy: Thank goodness.
Tema: Thanks, kid.
Alex: No problem.
Raga: Renzat! Take care of the Vermal!
Renzat: Got it.
Cathy: You guys go help out the others. I'll deal with Raga myself.
Tema: Right!
Alex: So looks like round three.
Renzat: Ah young Alex. You're so naïve. This isn't the third match..
(Renzat swings his tail causing Alex to trip & fall to the floor)
Alex: Ugh!
Renzat: This is our fourth.
Alex: What do you mean? Of course it's the third round. I've only encountered you three times in my life.
Renzat: By memory, but you do not know about our encounter back on Xeronica. The same day your parents met their doom.
(Alex starts to tremble)
Alex: What are you saying!? My parents disappeared as soon as I was born.
Renzat: That's a big lie! You want to know the true reason why you have no parents? (Flashback to Renzat on Xeronica where he ends off Alex's parents. We then see a baby Vermal form Alex resting in a crib next to another unnamed Vermal baby) I killed them! Under Raga's order!
Alex: No! That's Impossible!
Renzat: Oh it is ever so possible. And from what I have been ordered to do I think I'll finish what I had started!
(Renzat bites down on Alex.)
Alex: My arm!
(Renzat rips Alex's Rhapsodian arm off & tosses it across the hall.)
Renzat: Ha!
Cathy: Alex!
Raga: What's this? You're worried about your friend over there?
(Raga holds a vessel with Shard in it)
Renzat: I should've finished you off 16 Xeronican years ago. Never did I think I would encounter you again & so many times at that.
Alex: (Growls) You'll pay for what you did to my mom & dad! You here me?! PAY! (Alex turns into Vermal form & goes ape on Renzat) HRRRAAAAAAAAAAH!
(Renzat is thrown back against a glass window.)
Renzat: Ah! Simple Xeronican combat won't save you here, Vermal. We come from the same planet! (Renzat returns back the blows) We're evenly matched.
(Renzat then submissions Alex & runs into multiple tables & chairs with the Vermal still in his grasp. He lets go of him as the knocked out Alex comes crashing through a glass wall & onto the fiery floor close to Cathy & Raga.)
(Raga attacks Cathy)
Cathy: You aren't going to get away with any of this.
(Cathy dodges it. Cathy kicks Raga and grabs the vessel. She then smashes the vessel to the floor & frees her father.)
Shard: I'm back.
Raga: Renzat! Retreat!
Renzat: Just a moment sir. I've got a deed to finish. (Renzat is about to go for the throat & finish him off as Alex jumps back to life & bites Renzat on his tail) OW!
(Alex grabs hold of him & swings him around, having Renzat hit walls, computers, & pillars)
Alex: This is for killing my parents!
(He let's out so much electricity while Renzat's tail is in his mouth that it nearly stops Renzat's heart & cuts off power to half of the vicinity)
Renzat: Ahhh! (faints)
(A scarab like thing falls off of Renzat's back. Alex then uses a Vac Vader to bust the knocked out Renzat)
Raga: I'll be back! Mark my words!
(Cathy busts him)
Cathy: I did it. I busted the most wanted criminal of all time!
Shard: You fought just like your mother did.
(Shard hugs Cathy)
Alex: (breathing heavily) We did it Cathy.. We di.. We.. Weeuuuhhhg!
(he then passes out)
Cathy: Alex! (Cathy & Shard run over to his aid) The Rhapsodian arm is missing. Alex can't survive without it!
(Shard is checking Alex's heart rate)
Shard: I don't feel a pulse & he's going cold. (calls out) We need a medic! Stat!
(Later on. See everyone near the hospital section with Alex in a medical bed. Alex wakes up to see everyone around him covered in Ash & bruises.)
Alex: (groans) Cathy? U-uncle Hugo? What happened?
Cathy: Alex! Thank goodness you're okay!
Shard: How did you like your new arm, kiddo?
(See Alex's arm slightly upgraded)
Alex: It looks amazing!
Gilbert: I made sure that it has a regeneration feature. Now you wont have to worry about losing it again.
Shard: Alex, what you did out there was crazy. Almost life-threatening. I have to ask, why did you do what you did then & there?
Alex: Because. The Smith family is the only family that I've ever had. Along with the rest of the MBC. And I would do anything to make sure that they are safe. Even if I have to put my own life on the line in order to do so.
Shard: (hugs him) I'm so happy that you are alive!
Mr. Smith: As am I.
Alex: Uncle Hugo.
(Alex sheds happy tears & smiled. Cathy hugs her dad.)
(Then later at a commemoration ceremony)
Shard: After the bravery that was preformed here today. I would like to commemorate Sam, Danny, Chris, Cathy, Alex, Franky, Speedy, Paige, Juan & Mimi with an up-rank from third-class busters to first-class busters. As well as bestow upon them these badges of honor. For going above & beyond the call of duty by ensuring that lives are kept safe even if it means they put their own on the line.
Crowd: Hooray!
(Shard gives the MBC the MBP badges)
Mr. Smith: (To his squad) You know what to say.
All: MBC! POWER UP!
(Cut to the vessel storage, where all villains are kept. Raga cackled evilly. As his eye glowed red. At a fade of black, we heard a glass breaking as the Marathon logo pops up.)
