Chapter 3: Cruise Chaser Incoming
"It's nighttime, three hours till midnight." Gin said.
"What are those?" Kakuzu asked pointing up.
There in the sky was over millions of steampunk robots flying around and then they noticed thousands more appearing around from the trees.
"We need to get inside now." Aizen said.
They all quickly ran in and Kakuzu turned around forcefully shutting the seal to keep them out.
Everyone ran through the metal stairs and looked around at the open areas of piping and such.
"This place is big. Wonder what it was originally used for." Deidara said.
"Judging by some of the mechanics in here, I'd say this is the functions of how it moves about on its front legs." Sasori said.
"I see lots of papers and old magitek parts." Aizen said.
"Must have had a team that wanted to travel inside here. Doubt they are alive now." Sasori said.
"Why say that?" Kisame asked.
"Because over there is a trap that was sprung." Sasori said pointing to bladed looking objects sticking out of the floor.
They noticed a few steampunk robots laying disabled on the floor as they entered further into the mechanical beast.
While they walked, Sasori was reading a journal from those papers.
"It says this place could house almost fifty thousand people inside. It also talks about time travel too." Sasori said.
"What about time travel?" Hidan asked.
"It doesn't further say other than they found a time portal. Nothing else is said." Sasori said.
They then heard cluttering noise and flying down to them was two steampunk robots that fired bullets toward them.
Kakuzu had his threads appear over them as a shield while Itachi leaped up sending out two fireballs into both machines and making them spin out of control and crash while burning up.
"Those are smaller ones." Itachi said.
"The ones on the ground are taller and got humanoid bodies." Sasori said.
"I am hearing noise up ahead." Zangei said.
They ran up the metal stairs and suddenly two tubes came down and sucked them in and at different directions through the tubing.
"Ah!" Hidan yelled holding onto Kakuzu's leg.
"Weee!" Deidara laughed.
"Save me! Ahh!" Kisame shouted.
"What's going on!" Jessica screamed.
All of them came out of different tubes into different sections of a very large room that had what looked like over thousands or millions of steampunk robots just walking around and or flying.
"Intruder alert! Intruder alert!" A siren ringed.
Those robots hovered up or ran toward them all.
"Holy shit!" Kisame yelled climbing over things to run.
Itachi knew it would be impossible to take them all on at the same time and had to run as well.
Everyone quickly ran over different machines and tubes to get away and once doing so stepped onto platforms that zipped them around into different sections.
"This is insane!" Pain shouted.
"This is Alexander!" Aizen yelled out in reply.
"Sasori are you okay!?" Gin shouted out.
Sasori was holding onto Kisame while zipping around and didn't have a chance to reply.
Everyone then got back together into a certain spot but noticed they were still being followed.
"Summon cruise chaser!" The siren said.
"Cruise chaser?" Konan asked confused.
They then seen what looked like a golden jet of sorts zooming over them but then transformed in mid-air to a flying large robot with iron wings.
"Woah!" Gin said in shock.
Cruise Chaser flew at them swinging it's bladed arms at them and its sharp feet at them as well in spinning slicing motions while hovering above the floor.
Everyone had to either evade or block the attacks and coming up was thousands of smaller robots that began to shoot lasers at them.
Everyone had to run side to side away from them and to evade Cruise Chasers' swipes.
Aizen swung his blade clashing against the metal but it did absolutely nothing.
"It's robotic, we got to use magical powers on it or reiatsu!" Sasori said.
Itachi sent out a large fireball right at Cruise Chaser which began to burn its left side and at the same time, Kisame sent a tidal wave of water from his mouth and a large amount of chakra to keep hitting Cruise Chaser with it to make him crash against an electric pillar which electrocuted him.
"Now!" Sasori shouted.
Konan had her paper power wrap around Cruise Chaser and seep in between the cracks.
"Detonating!" Konan yelled.
The paper exploded and completely destroyed Cruise Chaser.
The small devices suddenly explode on their own but it wasn't over yet, seeing more robots at a distance head toward them.
Everyone didn't have time for a short breather and kept running and eventually made it into a small steaming tunnel.
"Careful the steam is hot." Kisame said.
Kisame created a water shield jutsu around everyone so the steam didn't hurt them.
"Thanks sons." Mr. Hoshigaki said.
"No problem dad." Kisame said.
"Where do you think we are now Sasori?" Pain asked.
Sasori looked at the map again.
"We were here in the large chamber and it seems we are heading up this things chest area? At least I think." Sasori said.
"Where is the control center?" Aizen asked.
"In the chest area where the heart should be." Sasori said.
"What about the head area?" Deidara asked.
"It shows there is, of course, other operating functions but the main control is where the heart is." Sasori said.
"A machine with a heart." Gin said.
"Mechanical heart." Sasori corrected.
"Think we will see any more of those robots?" Hidan asked.
"I think we all know the answer to that, which is a yes." Dreekmy said.
Chayd noticed some more destroyed steampunk robots.
"Guys, those ones are destroyed and still sparking." Chayd said.
"We aren't alone here." Gin said.
"Karura." Jessica growled.
"Perhaps so." Chayd said.
"Come on guys we shouldn't stand around and wonder." Itachi told them.
Everyone continued following Aizen and Gin and watching them was two small robot probes that were filming them.
The Plague Doctor was somewhere inside watching the screen and then shut it off making those two probes shut off and fall onto the floor.
