(A/N: This is another crossover. Man, there's so many plot bunnies for Yona of the Dawn swarming in my head. Maybe because the anime ended on such an open-ended note (with nothing resolved or how the story is going to progress), it's easy for me to just imagine "What if the world of Yona of the Dawn was more like X (X, meaning insert plot of anime/manga)?", and boom-! A new crossover is born!

I just finished watching this anime called Blood+. I know it's an old anime, early 2000s, but I still enjoyed it. Although, I did have some problems with it. Mainly with the main character and some of its villains. Still it was a great anime, especially an anime that came before the manga, and does better than the manga. I like the dubbed version better than the subbed too. I should probably stop before I get ahead of myself.

Yeah, it guessed it. This time it's a Yona of the Dawn/Blood+ crossover. Though, expect OCs to replace the Blood+ cast. So, it's basically Yona of the Dawn with the plot of Blood+. Get it? As for pairings, I'll stick to canon, so Yona/Hak and OC/OC. As much as I love Hak/OC stories, even I know it would never work unless Hak has known the OC just as long as he has known Yona, if not longer. That's why all my Hak/OC stories or Hak/another female character crossover, they start off as childhood friends. Having Hak and OC be childhood friends is the only believable way for Hak/OC pairing to work, in my opinion. But enough ranting.

I should just get on with the story. Enjoy! I don't own Blood+ or Yona of the Dawn.

A Woman Is Not a Present

Nothing but the sense of anxiety and apprehension filled King Il as he stared at the naked woman on the ground. Her disheveled, long black hair covered most of her form, even her womanly bits.

Thirty years. It's been thirty years since this woman's last rebirth. His most regarded soldiers surrounded the woman, spears and knives poised and ready to strike in case the woman turned hostile and berserk. His soldiers were very few in numbers, but they were strongest within the castle, aside from Hak.

The woman stirred a bit, and he and his soldiers tensed up. When she, unexpectedly, grabbed his ankle with her small hand and slender fingers, he resisted the urge not to become paralyzed with fear. He heard about what happened thirty years ago. That this woman went berserk and killed dozens-no hundreds of people. Monsters, animals, and humans alike. Men, women, children, even babies have fallen victim to her wrathful rampage. Granted, he doesn't know the exact circumstances surrounding the horrid incident, he was barely an infant at the time. But his father left this woman alive for reason, left her sleeping undisturbed here- deep underneath the castle grounds- for the last thirty years. For him to allow the woman to stay here in secret, there must be some reason.

Meaning this woman was too important in whatever goal there was to just throw away.

For generations now, previous kings have watched over this woman's 'reawakening'. And very few knew of existence. Now his time has come to watch over her.

His soldiers' weapons were mere inches of piercing every part of the woman's body as she moved into a somewhat sitting position. But when she shot him that good-natured, beautiful smile, he couldn't bring himself to fill any ill-will towards this woman. It was strange to say, he was becoming overwhelmed with care for her.

King Il understood what he had to do now.

"Hak, have you seen Father?" Yona called out to her bodyguard.

Normally, Hak would reply with his usual snarky comment, but he was concerned. The king was missing his daughter's 15th birthday. That wasn't like him, especially since he was so excited about it these past two weeks.

He kicked himself off the wall he was leaning on, his majestic spear in hand. "No," he finally replied.

"Where could Father be?" Yona muttered worriedly. "He's been gone all day, and it's my birthday."

"Yona! Yona!"

Yona perked up happily when her father's familiar, warm voice reached her. "Father, where have you been?" She rushed down the steps and towards her father. When she got to him, her happy expression turned into one of confusion when she spotted the unfamiliar woman next to him.

She barely registered Hak coming up beside her, her violet eyes fixated on the woman who stood blankly at her father's side. The woman was beautiful, almost breathtaking. She had flawless alabaster skin and beautiful, long black hair that reached all the way to her knees. Though, her hair was unkempt and disheveled in some places, she was still so pretty. Her light brown eyes was listless and full of childlike innocence as she curiously gazed around her surroundings. She seemed to be about Hak's age. She wore nothing but a black cloak, and her feet were bare.

"King Il," Hak was the one to speak, breaking the short silence. "May I ask? Who is she?"

"That's right, Father," Yona questioned confusedly. "Who is that woman?"

King Il shot his daughter a happy, warm smile. "Happy birthday, Yona! I got you a special gift." He placed his hands on the black haired woman's shoulders and pushed her forward. The next words out of his mouth were both unexpectedly shocking and highly puzzling.

"This is your new big sister!"

(A/N: That's the end of the first chapter! Nothing but a prologue. The next couple of chapters or so would be about the woman's life with Yona, Hak, and King Il before the main plot begins. I have nothing left to say. I just hoped you enjoyed it, and look forward to more. Leave any comments or questions in a review, and thanks for reading!)
