Miss Queen B: Good afternoon, my lovely readers. I hope everyone is doing fine during these weird times. (You know: with canceling sports, the awful toilet paper shortage and the virus thing) Anyway, notes:

Note One: So this is my fourth Godzilla one-shot and probably my favorite one I wrote so far. This is all about Behemoth and his friendship with Rodan and his love interest in Scylla. I really wanted to write a mellow/humor one-shot since my last two (Embers/Ashes) were both tear jerkers. A good way to stretch out my humor side, but there is a little romance in it as well. It's a slow burn between the pair. Like always, this one is link to the "Fire Series", "Deep Blue Sea", and "Embers" so if you haven't read the other ones, you will get lost.

Note Two: I have to thank my worse/best critic (and I mean that in the most nicest/respectful way possible) Shadowblade217 for giving me ideas for this one-shot. Like how Behemoth and Rodan met and my intake on the aftermath of the fight in Boston. This gentleman knows how to review stories in great detail and help you improve on your weak spots. So again Thanks for the ideas, I really appreciated.

Note Three: Rated M: For language and crude adult humor. I hope you like it. Enjoy.

Raindrops

~Sunny days, everybody loves them

Tell me baby can you stand the rain?

Storms will come

This we know for sure

(This we know for sure)

Can you stand the rain?~

~ Can you stand the rain? By New Edition

While others preferred sunny warm days, Behemoth loved the rain. The cloudy gray sky and the relaxing thunder would help him sigh and put his mind at ease. But the rain, the rain was always something he would look forward to. Something about it pouring down on his body makes it feel like it was washing away his troubles so the next day he would start out fresh and optimistic. He wasn't the type that will say it out loud, but the main reason he loves the rain was the luck it would bring him. It seems like a lot of good things happen to him when it rains..

As a cub, the rain will bring him mud which was a huge thing for him back then. The mud would keep him cool during the humidity the rain will bring and make his fur nice and shiny after washing it off.

He met his life mate in the rain. They both crossed paths with one another while trying to find shelter which led to endless conversations and laughter. Going as far as her telling him what a chatterbox he was. It was love at first sight for him and he courted her the very next day. It rained when she told him she was carrying his first cub and it even rained the night she gave birth to his son. He even gathered fresh rain drops on a giant leaf for her to drink after that exhausting night. For centuries, his life was wonderful as his family grew and grew. His mate gave him ten cubs throughout their time together (She wanted another one till she grew ill and passed away peacefully in her sleep) which expanded to more grandcubs than he can count. When his mate passed, he was sad, but was never alone thanks to all his heirs and their little ones.

Even during the bleakest times, he tried to stay positive and still see rain as his good luck charm. He remembered playing with one of his little grandcub when a storm suddenly appeared followed by loud thunder and even louder roars. Tucking the young one underneath him, he curled up into a lumpy ball, hoping to be mistaken for a large boulder and at the corner of his eye he could see the one everyone called the Fallen Star being tackled by a young lizard Kaiju. They fought violently causing the storm above them to grow darker, stronger and louder. The rain hit his back like sharp thorns and the wind nearly tipped him over. His little grandcub was shaking in fear and he had to tell her to stay quiet so they wouldn't be seen. Luckly, the storm brought down heavy rainfall, making it hard for the demon and the lizard to see them. After they left, they took the storm with them, unfortunately, left behind puddles of red colored water and chucks to flesh and scales.

The rest of his life after the events of the Fallen Star was hardly anything worth wild to remember. Like so many others, the world was changing and he too went into hibernation mode for millions of years. To him it was a good time to rest. He wasn't as young as he used to be, but didn't feel old enough to crawl into a hole and die yet. Either way, rest sounded good. He didn't know how long he'd been sleeping, but the next thing he knew, he heard a strange sound piercing though his head causing his eyes to snap over and push himself out of ground he was buried under. His large paws were the first thing to resurface followed by his head and large tusks. Fresh air hit his face as dirt and debris fell off his body. The sounds of those tiny things called humans could be heard. They were screaming, shouting and running for their lives. He didn't mean to hurt them as he pulled the rest of his body out from the dirt, but the sound, that ear-bleeding sound was making him sick.

00000

It was calling no less, talking to him in his head to wake up, rise from your dirt sleep and destroy. Destroy everything in your path. Part of him knew it was wrong, but he couldn't block out the noise, the voices forced him into some sort a deep, ugly trance. Alright, he thought while flexing out his muscle and cracking the bones in his back to get the blood flowing. Why fight the noise...when he did, it made his head hurt...and just go with the flow. With that in mind, he started to march towards the nearest biggest city. From far away he could see a large storm forming….for some reason the sound was coming in that direction as well. Something was not right…

It didn't take much to cause chaos and destruction. Heck, all he had to do was just walk right through the small buildings and use his tusks to knock over the largest one. The little things tried to fight back with their fire and strange weapons, but they did nothing to him. His thick brown fur would soften the blow and just leave the tips charred. His paws and feet were covered in dirt, shrapnel and sadly a few of those little things that didn't get out of the way in time. His head was hurting, the sound, the alpha call was getting louder and more aggressive. Don't fight it, destroy, kill and destroy. Your true King is here, the old, weak one is dead.

Well that can't be true, he thought. There was no way his King would be dead, it had to be a mistake. Where is the Queen in all this? Surely she was somewhere and knows what's going on. He shook his head, but the pain kept coming. He wanted the sound to stop, it was driving him mad. He was wondering if he was the only one who could hear this as he continued his journey towards the noise. Hoping to kill the one responsible for his headache and destructive impulses.

As he got closer to the sound, the sky grew darker thanks to the storm and once again, heavy rain began to fall. Although in a weird trance, he could feel some control of himself like his emotions and personality. He stopped on the outskirts of another city and from the looks of it, another kaiju has been here. The place was damaged beyond recognition with fire burning everywhere despite the rain. It looked deserted since he didn't hear the screams or cries of the little Things running for their lives. He was about to take off when he heard a loud, painful cry echoing in the city. The cry of anguish, agony and despair.

Following the cry into the damaged city, he came across another kaiju of the squid-like species in a rather weird predicament. She was groaning in pain while slamming her head over and over again into the building. The sound of metal and glass echoed throughout the land and was nearly as loud as the rain. When she pulled herself away from the building, there were cuts all over her tentacles and face, but that didn't stop her from grinding her head into the ground full of mud and shrapnel.

They made eye contact and she cried in pain. Make it stop! I can't take it anymore! The sound!

Stay calm, my dear. You're not the only one who can hear it.

I am calm. I'm normally the calm one! I don't understand….I just woke up to this sound. An alpha cry forcing me to kill and destroy….that's….that's...that's not him….surely the Queen won't let him do such a thing….

She turned around, nearly tangling herself in her long, crab-like legs and rammed herself into another building. He took another step towards her, If you keep fighting it, the more it will hurt. You need to stay calm.

He suddenly felt a sharp pain causing his arms and legs to buckle, but managed to keep his balance and just like that the sound was gone. The squid pulled herself out of the rubble and tripped over her own legs from the sudden dizzy spell he was sure she was feeling. She twisted around and would've fallen over if it wasn't for him catching her with his large tusks. She laid there, letting her legs dangle on his tusk and didn't say anything. Behemoth stood very still, watching the raindrops hit the squid's shell and bounce off to the ground.

Are you OK? He asked.

Her legs started to move and she quickly pushed herself off his tusks and took a few steps back. What happened?

I think we were under some sort of spell, my dear. Behemoth said, looking around.

She tilted her head a bit as if she was offended by his words. Do I know you?

I would have to say no, my sweet, allow me to introduce myself. He said, kneeling down to her. Behemoth and you are?

Not your Dear or your Sweet that's for sure. She said, taking a few steps back from him. He was more than twice her size and no doubt could crush her with his powerful arms. The way her tentacles were curling and uncurling themselves, she was keeping her guard up due to his presence.

Now, now, you don't need to be afraid of my large size, Miss squid, I am a Gentlemale.

That seemed to relax her a bit and she sighed, Well, that's nice to know. Now if you excuse me, I need to find the Queen. If you're awake and I'm awake no doubt the others are too and the Queen shouldn't be too far away.

I hope so….did you hear about the King being dead.

She chuckled and he thought it was kind of cute. Yes, but I don't believe that for a second, someone like our Dear King can't die. It's hard to get rid of him, trust me, I tried. She said.

So you think it is something else controlling us?

Most likely. Once I find the Queen, I'm sure she would know what's going on.

Very well, shall we take this journey together or would you like to join me in leveling down another city. He asked in a polite, but funny charm.

She looked at him in disgust and started to walk away.

Talk about the cold shoulder or maybe it was too soon to joke around like that. My sweet, I was only telling a joke to lighten the mood. He said, catching up to her.

I asked you not to call me that, I don't even know you.

I did tell you my name. He said, perking his head up high. But you failed to mention yours.

She rolled her eyes, You're not going to stop following me, are you?

We are heading towards the same sound and storm right?

Yes, we are, I suppose.

Well, I find the journey better with a pretty companion, don't you think?

I would never call the males pretty, but fine, if you really need company I guess I don't mind letting you follow me. She said, unamused.

That put a smile on his face. You still haven't told me your name, my dear.

She gave him a firm look from the name calling and shook her head. Scylla.

0000000000000

..And that's how I met the King for the first time. Poor fellow, you can tell right off the back he doesn't like to socialize, but just like the Queen said, if he's going to rule he needed to go out there and get to know the other kaijus. I don't see how the creatures are so afraid of him, he's just the strong, silent type which I guess it's a perfect balance for the happy-go-lucky Queen. I can see why she loves being around him so much….You should've seen the look on the King's face when I asked the Queen if they were going to have hatchl-

Behemoth?

He looked down at Scylla who was staring at something in the sky. They've been walking all night towards the dark storm and have yet to come across other kaijus or the royal couple. He passed the time by telling Scylla a few stories of his early days when she interrupted him. What is it?

What is that? She asked, her head looking up at the sky.

He looked up and nearly flinched when he saw a ball of fire falling towards the ground in a nearby city. It hit the ground with a loud thud and even though they were so far away, they could feel the ground slightly shaking underneath their feet. Well that can't be good. He said, stunned.

Scylla stepped back a bit and he saw fear and terror in her eyes. Oh no, they're back.

Sure enough, though far away, Behemoth could see the False King flying down towards the thing that fell out of the sky.

Scylla continued to step back while trembling in fear. How in the world are they still alive?!

Good Question, but not to worry, I'm sure if the King is still alive he will take care of them just like the last time.

She sighed, What worries me the most is that if he's there then she will be as well.

I'm sure the King will keep her safe….

With the False King around, it's nearly impossible. She said, I hope she was smart enough to stay away this time.

They both nearly jumped again when they heard another loud explosion followed by a bright light and a painful scream. He cleared his throat, We don't have to go over there….

She shook her head, I need to make sure she's Ok.

Are you and the Queen close?

Scylla nodded, She's the dirt in my eye, but also my best friend…

00000000

He knew right off the back something was not right while he was kneeling down to the battered King. After a victory roar, his King just stood there in deep thought while slightly panting from exhaustion. No doubt the battle with the False King took a large toll on him after the adrenaline wore off. He was about to speak, but Scylla beat him to it.

Dear King, where's the Queen? She asked, while lifting herself up from the ground.

That seems to snap his King out of his daydream and for some reason, he started to growl while looking away as if he didn't want to answer Scylla's question.

But she knew, he could tell she knew it was bad news. Lowing her head to hide the tears she whispered, How?

Their energy beams….He said, finally looking at her.

You were supposed to protect her. She said, trying so hard to lose her temper because it was very disrespectful.

Don't start, Scylla, you know how she is. That Thing lifted me up into the sky and dropped me to the ground. I ended up breaking my back, so I couldn't stop her from fight-Where the HELL do you think you're going?!

The King whipped around and growled at the fire demon who was trying to sneak off. The fire demon started to shake, but put on a smile no less. The exhaustion long forgotten, his King was pissed. The fire demon took a few steps back only to have the Muto extend her arm out to trip him backwards. The fire demon landed on his back and hissed at the Muto who only snickered with a devilish grin.

The King took a few steps over to the fire demon and fist his claws. You have a lot of explaining to do. Not only did you kneel to that three headed demon, the SAME one who murdered our friend, you deliberately attacked the Queen! Give me one good reason I shouldn't break your neck, RODAN!

His plates started to glow again as he towers the one called Rodan. Scylla gasped, You attacked your own Queen, what were you thinking!? Please tell me this isn't true? She screamed at Rodan.

Oh, this is going to be good. Teach him a harsh lesson, King. The Muto said, taking a few steps back to give his King room.

Now, now, let's not lose our temper, my King, I'm sure the False King's spell made him do it. Behemoth said, I mean we were all under it, Right Scylla, Muto...Methuselah?

The dumb rock fell back asleep not too long ago. The Muto said, pointing at Methuselah.

He turned his head over to Methuselah and sure enough he was sleeping in a kneeling position. Funny Fellow, you would think after being asleep for millions of years, you would be well rested. Well, so much for backup in case things go sour. He knew the Queen and he was sure the last thing she wanted was her King to kill the last surviving kaijus of this world. There had to be more than the ones here, right?

He was NOT under their spell, so don't defend him, Behemoth! The King growled.

I was just following orders, King, we thought you were dead! Rodan said, his beak chattering. It could've been any of us going after her. They just called me first. I was Their beta!

Hey, don't you dare bring us into this! Scylla shouted, We would never do such a thing to our beloved Queen.

Yeah, Rodan, how dare you, you traitor. Muto said, sarcastically. Have you no heart?

Shut up, parasite. You're not helping! Rodan said, only to screech when the King's foot slammed down his left wing. His eyes locked with the King and he started to stutter. Look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt her….she was the one who poisoned me!

Didn't mean to? DIDN'T MEAN TO! I saw you! You were enjoying it. She was trying to help me save this world and you stopped her! You were laughing and smirking while you were throwing her into buildings! Burning her wings is going to cost you yours! The King shouted and twisted his foot on Rodan's wings causing the bird to cry out in pain.

Tear off his wings! The Muto cheered.

Scylla shook her head and looked over at Behemoth, I know what he did was wrong, but if the Queen was here she would never let him-

But she's not so there's nothing we can do. He said, but for some reason he didn't want this to stress out the squid kaiju.

An idea popped into his head and ran right up to his King's face knowing the lizard couldn't stand having someone close to him. My King, was that you who released that giant blast of fire?

He was right, being up close made his King back away from him and allowing Rodan some space to breathe. He can see Scylla picking up his idea. He's right, Dear King, we saw it from miles away, how are you even alive if you were on fire? Getting close to him as well to look like she was intrigued. Bugged-eye, he took a few more steps back from them.

You do know they are distracting you right? Muto said, pointing to Rodan who was getting back on his feet while he still had a chance. But I have to agree, I saw the blast too. What an odd way to sunbathe, King, were you going for Well done or extra crispy?

I have to say seeing that far away was extraordinary. I never thought I would see the day a blast of fire could vaporize the False King like that into dust. Behemoth said.

Seriously, why are you guys letting him get away. The Muto asked, dully.

Wait till the Queen hears about this. She's going to freak! Well, I mean….there is an egg right? Scylla asked in a worried tone.

Before the King could say something, Behemoth interrupted, Oh course there has to be an egg, my sweet, she wouldn't put herself in danger if there wasn't.

Oh you'll be surprised. I swear she's making me age faster from all the crazy stunts she did over the years.

So we're just going to forget about Rodan flying off now? Fine, be that way, I can't believe King would fall for such an stupid distraction. The Muto said, looking up at the sky. And there he goes.

The King looked up to see Rodan flying away with his tail between his legs. Fucking coward. He growled and stared at Scylla and Behemoth. You two let him get away.

Shocker...The Muto said, sarcastically.

Scylla gulped, I'm sorry, Dear King, but if the Queen was here she would've done the same thing.

There was a little pang of sadness on his face before letting out an angry snort, Get out of my sight. He warned before walking past them with this tired look in his eyes. Behemoth had a feeling mentioning the Queen again brought him down to a slump again. Hopefully the Queen won't take too long to hatch this time like before. With wobbly steps, the King glided himself into the water and didn't stop till he was completely underwater and vanished.

They stood there not sure what to do or where to go now till the Muto spoke up. You kaijus suck. He was about to kill the bird and you let him get away. Unbelievable!

Seriously, you want to see more carnage after everything that happened? Scylla asked.

Sure why not, I didn't get my human filled if you know what I mean. We parasites eat a lot.

Shaking her head, Scylla sighed, Well, I don't know about you two….or three, but I'm going to find me a nest to go back to sleep. My head feels weird.

Yeah, well I'm bored. Screw you guys, I'm leaving. The Muto said, walking away. I would suggest doing the same thing before those humans start showing up.

Behemoth took a deep breath and looked down at Scylla. I have to say, my Scylla, it's been a pleasure talking to you. Do you care for some company on your journey once again? He asked.

Thanks, but I can handle myself from here. Take care, Behemoth, the world is not the same as it used to be. She said, walking away as well.

A little sad to see her go, but he was sure he was going to be ok. Syclla was right about the head thing. His head was feeling weird as well from all the sounds and alpha's callings and the need to rest came into mind as well. Might as well wake up Methuselah and get out of here before anything else happens.

0000000

Two years went by after the False King's invasion and Behemoth was bored and a little lonely. The others spread across the world to find new homes and settle back into their normal lives. Whatever that was. He found a large patch of land full of greenery and small critters and after scaring off the humans, he made it his home. It wasn't in bad shape, it needed more trees which were easily fixed with all the radiation he was pouring out of his fur. Being there for the first month had trees growing back that would've taken years to do. He slept for most of the time after that only to wake up when greeted by the King and his lovely Queen. The last time they showed up a year and a half ago made him question their Well being. The King looked like he was on edge, exhausted and was constantly muttering things to himself. He had cuts all over his face and upper body that were old and new and didn't want to talk to him for some reason. He even asked the Queen if there was something wrong with the King and she shook her head and said she didn't want to talk about it. She had this look like something bad happened and didn't know what to do about it. They were just here to make sure he was doing alright before heading over to Rodan's island.

After that visit, he never saw another kaiju till last night during a bad storm. He couldn't sleep due to the storm and its harsh winds. There was a lot of lightning and thunder and of course, pouring rain. So instead of sleeping, he stood by the shoreline with his head held up high to feel the splatters of the cold rain. The violent waves crashing against his claws and the sound of the trees dancing from the wind. It was raining so hard he couldn't see anything in front of him for miles, but despite all this he felt at peace as if nothing could hurt him at this very moment.

So relax from the storm, he didn't see a dark object heading in his direction. He happened to turn to the left to see something flying down from the sky and crashing right into his giant side. The impact made the thing burst into flames and accidentally cook some of his fur to black. The rain quickly drowned out the fire and they both collapsed to the floor. Behemoth let out a loud cry and swatted the thing away from him with his tusks. The thing fell backwards, releasing another burst of flames and smoke. He hissed in pain from the sudden burn to his side and thank the heavy rain for not letting the fire spread all over him. Now guarded, he stomps his feet on the ground in a way to scare the thing that was still lying in the dirt. Ready to attack he approached it only to take a step back when he realized it was the fire demon Rodan who crashed into him.

Rodan groaned and lifted himself up while rubbing his head. The raindrops hitting his body were making sizzle sounds as he rubbed his blood-shot red eyes. From the looks of it, he hasn't slept well in days. Where am I? He asked or so Behemoth thought since the storm was so loud and Rodan was speaking so softly. Rodan looked up at him and hissed, Behemoth, what the hell are you doing crashing into me like that?

I don't want to be mean here, but you crashed into me. For a flyer, you're quite lousy at it. He said then started to chuckle. Hoping the shallow joke would lighten the mood.

What he didn't expect was Rodan's eyes growing wide from the joke and he started to growl. The next thing he knew, the fire demon jumped up and tried to strike his face with his claws. Don't you call me that! Don't call me a Lousy Flyer! You have no right to call me that! He screeched and tried to strike him again.

Bewildered, Behemoth took a few steps back, but Rodan was still coming after him with his claws. With his wings flapping and him screeching, Behemoth didn't know what to do or why he was acting this way. Rodan, my fellow, what is wrong-

He was scratched across the face, the hot, burning claws nearly hitting his eye and Rodan screamed, Take back that name, you dumb pile of fur! Only she is allowed to call me that not YOU!

Lightning clashed in the background as Behemoth backhanded Rodan in the face with all his strength. The fire demon's neck flew sharply to the left, making a loud snapping sound, before going straight towards the ground. He tumbled a bit before landing roughly on his stomach and didn't move. Behemoth started to panic because he really thought he killed the fire demon as he walked over to him to check for any sign of life. Rodan was breathing, but after tapping him on the back a few times, he realized the fire demon was out cold. Confused, he just stood there while feeling the gashes on his face stinging from the rain. What was that all about?

0000000

Although the rain stopped it was still very cloudy and windy when Rodan finally woke up. Behemoth was lying down far enough to give the fire demon some space and to make sure he wouldn't attack him again. Once again, Rodan picked himself up from the ground and rubbed the spot he hit with his powerful arm.

Ah, finally you're awake. Behemoth said while flexing out his claws just in case the bird had another crazy episode.

Where am I? Rodan asked, sitting up with his wings drooping down to the ground. His cheek had glowing orange cracks from where he struck him going all the way down his neck and nearly touched a hole-style scar on his shoulder. .

You don't remember? He asked.

The fire demon shook his head. Last thing I remember was flying….I didn't want to go to sleep so I left my home to go flying and I didn't want to stop no matter how tired I was getting. I flew into a storm and couldn't see anything, but I didn't want to stop so I just kept pushing myself to go faster and faster then after that nothing….

Oh, well, you crashed into me and for some reason you attacked me.

I did….sorry, I don't recall doing that.

Yes, it was very bizarre and I'm sorry, but I had to hit you pretty hard in the face to make you stop. You've been out cold for five days.

He jumped up from his seating position, I've been asleep for five days!?

Behemoth nodded, You must've been tired, how long were you awake before this.

Rodan frowned and clicked his tongue, Four days….I didn't want to sleep anymore….it's been hard to sleep peacefully lately.

Bad dreams? He asked.

What makes you say that?

Behemoth cleared his throat, Well, I'm not here to judge….but while you were out cold….you were kind of talking in your sleep….

Rodan looked away, clearly embarrassed. What did I say?

Now he was embarrassed, A few things….most of it was just gibberish, but you kept saying things like….stay with me….leave him...and again I'm not here to judge, but you were making a lot of…..moaning sounds…..

I'm outta here. Rodan said, walking over to the shoreline with his head down and bright orange and white flames coming out of his wings.

Again, I'm not here to judge Rodan, but is that the reason you are having a hard time sleeping.

NO! He growled, And I would appreciate it if you never spoke about what I said ever again. In fact, forget I was even here, Alright!

You're clearly upset about this, if you need to talk-

No, no talking! I refused to open up to anyone anymore because in the end it will mean nothing. You're not the first one to try this and I will not go through that again! So drop it and leave me alone! He screamed and quickly flew up into the air.

He was long gone before Behemoth could tell him that was fine, but he was here in case he changed his mind.

A couple more days passed after the run in with Rodan and he was eating some fresh plants and trees when he felt the land under him rumbled and he looked up from his meal to see Rodan standing there with a sad face. From the looks of it, he wasn't sleeping again by the way his eyes were dried and red. Not saying a word, Rodan walked over to Behemoth and sat down in front of him with his eyes staring at the ground. Being a Gedntlemale, he waited for the fire demon to say something.

Picking up a handful of sand and dumping it on the ground, Rodan sighed, You said you won't judge me, right?

Behemoth shook his head, I'm far too old to act like a youngling to judge kaijus because of their problems.

Rodan nodded, You wouldn't believe the problems I've been having.

Why? Because you were exiled for aiding the False King and trying to kill the Queen.

No...well...yes...in a way….but, I don't know if I could tell you this….I mean the reason I am here because maybe from a male's point of view it would make sense….but, it's complicated….fuck, I shouldn't be here…..why is this still bothering me….

You're not making sense, but I'm willing to listen from the very beginning.

He sighed and shook his head. I don't know….I lost a lot in my life, Behemoth…..it seems like whenever I get close to someone they leave….and every time I try again….it just gets worse...if I were you I would run.

Behemoth laughed, Not to worry, my young fellow, it will take a lot to get rid of me.

Finally a small smile formed on the fire demon's tired face. I lost my mate so long ago….and when I thought no one would understand me or what I was going through, I met my best friend who ended up dying years later so I went back to being alone again. And I thought there was no way it could get worse, but it does….it always does…..because you didn't expect Her to come into your life and turn it upside down…

Oh…so a female is causing all these problems for you. Is she the one you are dreaming about?

Rodan stared at nothing in particular for a minute before nodding….I…..can't stop dreaming about her…..it's the worse kind of craziness because she would come back and she will be with me and she will tell me how much she loves me only to disappear again whenever I wake up. I couldn't stand this vicious cycle so I forced myself to stay away. It feels like it's the only way not to see her again.

Behemoth nodded and noticed the fire demon's eyes tearing up, but he quickly wiped them away in hope he didn't notice. He cleared his throat. She must've been something special...May I ask what happened?

Rodan shrugged, She was going through some rough stuff and so was I….she made me laugh and I would make her giggle...there was always something to talk about between us and next thing I knew I was falling for her….I never thought I would feel that way for another female after my mate died and for a moment, a tiny moment, she felt the same way. She told me she loved me…..

So what happened….did she passed away? Behemoth asked, watching Rodan play with the sand again.

No, worse, it turns out she was in love with someone else...so we said our good-byes and I was alone again….but it was worse this time…much worse….because I could've handle it better if she was gone, but she's not, she with him….making him laugh...and Him making her giggle….I flew by one time just to check up on her and she looked so...happy and I'm supposed to be happy that she's doing fine, but….why couldn't she be happy with me?

Well, love can be a fickle thing, my friend. You can look at it this way, at least she was honest with you and didn't string you along. No doubt it was a very difficult decision for her as well since she was going to hurt someone in the end. If you two ended it peacefully, you shouldn't dwell on it anymore…

You make it sound so easy…

It's not, but time heals all wounds as they say. I know I was a little down when I lost my mate and thought there was no way I would ever look at another female till-

He stopped when he realized what he just said because it just came out of nowhere. The squid kaiju came into his mind and made his cheeks warm. What a shame, it's been two years and he was still having a tough time forgetting her. He wished the Queen would come and visit again so he can ask about her since she claimed she was the Queen's best friend.

Till what? Rodan asked.

He shook his head and smiled, Oh nothing, that's a story for another day. Anyway, so does this female have a name, someone we might know?

Rodan's head jerked back and his eyes started to shift. No, no one you would know. She was some Kaiju I knew before going into hibernation. Being by yourself for a long time, it would make sense I would think about her. I went to sleep thinking about her and the next thing I know, some strange noise woke me up and I ended up facing the False King. He said, laughing nervously. The sloth kaiju had a feeling, a small one, the fire demon was lying about something, but decided not to push it.

And lost I supposed? Behemoth asked.

Rodan hissed, They put up a good fight, but I decided to be nice and let them win.

Now his smile was big and cocky, but it was a smile no less. He was just trying to joke around in hope to change the subject. There was more to the story, he could tell by the way Rodan was acting, but when he's ready to talk about it he will.

This reminds me of one of my brothers and how he claimed he let the False King win even though he was beaten pretty badly. What was that joke I would say, hey brother, you look awful and he would say, well you should see the other guy. Anyway it was a stormy day which back then meant the False King was nearby and it was just me and my brother and our cubs hanging out so we can give our mates some rest when out of the blue….

They talked for hours that day, well, he did most of the talking while Rodan smiled and nodded. Still a little depressed, but the fire demon did look a little better when he flew off back to his home. What surprised Behemoth was Rodan returning the next day for some more tales from his past and company. He even brought food to share though Behemoth told him he was more into plants and trees. He didn't mind, it was nice to have someone around who had enough patience for him to chat away nonstop. As each day went by, he saw how the fire demon changed. It looked like he was getting back to a normal sleep cycle which made his appearance better to look at. His colors were bright and his wings had that fiery glow though he warned him to stay close to the beach since he didn't want him to start a forest fire. He was restoring the plant life in this forest and didn't want to lose all his hard work.

Next thing he knew, Rodan was staying over all day and night and he didn't want to oppose since he didn't want to break the flyer's spirits. It was nice to have a companion around even with severe emotional problems. Rodan was even saying he hasn't had that dream in days which was good although he failed to tell him what the dream was all about, but he respected his boundaries. He stopped talking about the female as well which was great in his opinion. The less he talks about her the better he seems to be. His new friend was happy and that made him happy…

Then one day out of the blue something weird happened when Rodan went out flying….

He came back with the Queen unconscious in his talons and all hell broke loose….

0000000000

He didn't want her to go, he was hoping the Royal couple would stay for a meal after everything that happened this afternoon in order to have Miss Scylla stay as well. But the King was a bit moody and the Queen needed to rest due to her carrying a large egg so they were leaving which means she was leaving as well. While the Queen was getting settled on his King's back plates, he felt a small tap on his arm and looked down to see Scylla's tired face.

I'm sorry for all the trouble we caused, trust me this wasn't part of our plans today. She said, sighing.

He smiled, No need to apologize, my sweet, I'm quite happy because I got to see you again. I hope the past two years have been good to you.

She snorted a chuckle, Oh, the stories I can tell you.

Well, I do love stories and if you aren't busy maybe we can spend a day sharing them.

Her eyes trailed over to the King and Queen and she looked rather embarrassed with the King giving her an odd look and waiting for her to follow. Riiiight, I need to tend to the Queen.

He smiled and didn't want to push it instead he kneel down to her like he would do to show respect to a higher position Kaiju and said, Well, I hope I see you again soon, Miss Scylla.

She took a step back, looking rather annoyed, and headed over to the King and Queen with the Queen acting a little giddy like she knew right off the back he had some interest in her best friend. He waved good-bye with his tusks and told them to have a safe trip and just like that they were gone and he felt like he could breathe again.

He shook his body to get rid of the leftover plants the Queen had left off his back and stood there for a bit to let the events of the day sink in. One thing for sure, he needed to ask Rodan something important whenever that fire demon comes back. He didn't have to wait long when Rodan finally returned as if he was just flying around in circles waiting to make sure the King was gone before showing his face. He must've been in a bad mood since he landed right on top of the lush trees instead of the sand causing some of them to burst into flames, but Behemoth stayed quiet while he slowly approached him. Rodan kept his head down, breathing really hard to keep himself from blowing up as the fire in his wings glow brighter and hotter.

Behemoth cleared his throat, So how did the conversation with the King go?

Something in his friend snapped and he burst into flames and with a loud roar, he used his wings to burn down large portion of trees and greenery around him, sending black smoke into the air. He started shouting things Behemoth couldn't understand because it was overshadowed by his feet stomping the ground, but he heard some stuff like cursing the "fat bastard", "how dare he touch something he claimed first" (whatever that means), and "he couldn't fucking believe this was happening" and something about an egg. Behemoth was wise to stay back and just let him burn himself out. After a few minutes, everything in a mile radius was burnt to nothing, but black soot and ash with Rodan sitting there with his head down and claws digging into his face. Behemoth should be upset because he destroyed a small selection of his home, but again it was small and once everything is clean up, the radiation from his body could easily regrow the greenery again in a matter of weeks. With that in mind, he walked through the warm soot and ash and sat down right next to Rodan who still didn't move.

The pair stayed quiet for a bit with Behemoth looking around unsure how to say what was on his mind, but he was curious. Um...that female you was talking about when we met….that was the Queen...wasn't it? He said, very softly and caring. Last thing he wanted was to sound like he was judging him or accusing him. Rodan still didn't move or say anything so Behemoth continued, I'm not going to judge and I don't mean to accuse you, but the way you were acting around her and the way she was acting around you plus the King's and Scylla's behavior added to the mix, it just seem so likely-

You wouldn't understand….Rodan whispered back while wiping soot off his face. It doesn't matter anyway….

You just burned down a mile worth of greenery and I don't mind you staying here, but I can't allow this to happen again so you need to talk to me.

He took a deep breath, You win….and you're right, she is the one I was talking about.

Shocked, but stayed calm no less. I see….why didn't you tell me the first time?

I didn't want you to hate me or pity me….I'm trying to move on from it and the last thing I need is another kaiju knowing the history. Talking to you was really helping me get on with my life and I don't want to mess that up.

Well, I'm glad I can help even though it caused some of my home to burn down. He said, making Rodan chuckle a bit. But seriously, Rodan...you knew she was with the King…

I know that, Behemoth, it just happened. It was strange, I caught them fighting one day and he just left her...he was gone for months….and she was lonely….I was lonely….and when she forgave me for aiding the False King we became friends….I fell in love with her….I knew it was wrong….but I couldn't help it.

And you said she loves you as well.

In her own way, but could never let anyone replace the love she had for her King.

Behemoth took a deep breath, Well, at least things ended before it went too far…

Rodan looked up at him with a nervous look and he picked it up right away.

Rodan, just how far did it go?

He felt his friend's body heat up and he looked away to hide the guilt. It was just...one night….

Oh….Behemoth didn't know how to react to that because it just didn't make sense, but he shook his head because he did not want to judge, So you and her...Did the King find out?

He looked down at the fire demon who still couldn't look at him and nodded.

He took a deep breath, Well that would explain the hostility when he saw you. Clearly he forgave the Queen for her actions.

She begged for it, telling him what a horrible mistake it was. Talk about a kick to the balls knowing what a horrible mistake it was to be with me.

Well, given the circumstances…

Yeah, yeah, but again it shouldn't matter anymore. We made peace with everything and she told me she will always love me and after that we said our good-byes. The End.

Are you sure about that?

Yes…..no...shit...seeing her carrying his egg…I didn't think it would hurt this much…..it just opened up some old wounds, I guess….

I can tell….Behemoth said, looking around all the burnt land around them. But hey, it's just a setback, you can't expect to love someone and get over them overnight. Like I said before you just have to take it one day at a time.

Rodan lifted his head, trying so hard not to let the tears fall from his eyes and looked back down at the ground. She's really happy, Behemoth….really happy…

He suddenly felt the fire demon leaning against him for comfort and started to smell the scent of burnt fur, but didn't want to say anything and make his friend even more wired up. He sighed, Yes, she is and I'm sure she would be happier to see you moving on as well.

That's all she ever wanted me to do….it's just hard sometimes.

Behemoth sighed, Look at it this way, my friend, the only way to go now is up….and I'll be there with you the whole way.

They stayed quiet again, hearing the last bit of the fire crackling around them fade away. Rodan huffed and didn't move away from Behemoth. Thanks…..

000000000

It was raining again when he spotted the Queen heading over to his land on top of visible glowing spikes. Although he wasn't expecting the visit, he was glad to see the Queen no less for personal reasons. He waited patiently as the King and Queen exit the water with the King lying down on his stomach so the Queen can gently get off his back and settle herself in the sand. Still heavily pregnant, but she didn't look so pale and tired like before.

My Queen. He said, bowing to her then at his King. This is unexpected, but I'm glad you came.

Yes, sorry for the surprise and on an awful day no less. She said, using one of her wings to block the rain.

Nonsense, I love days like this. Behemoth said, The strangest things always happen in the rain.

The Queen giggled while the King rolled his eyes and stayed quiet. Still not the social type after so many years. At least you like the rain….storms like these tend to make the King a little antsy so we decided to go for a swim. She looked around, Are you by yourself?

Yes, Rodan took off to find clearer weather. Apparently, he doesn't like the rain as well.

She frowned a bit and exhaled. Is he doing alright?

Behemoth's eyes shifted over to the King who seemed like it was taking a lot to keep himself from saying anything distasteful about his friend before turning his attention back to the Queen. She leaned to the left and no doubt noticed the mile long destruction of burnt trees and black ash. He's doing fine. He tends to spend all his days flying around and comes back in the late evening for a meal. Why do you ask?

Just curious. His well-being is just as important as yours is. She said, with a soft smile though it looked like she had to be very careful how to word her sentence by the way the King's glare was shifting from her to a rock on the ground.

..I see,... so what can I do for you on this rainy day? Behemoth asked, politely.

She smiled, Well, I was hoping to grab a few more of those plants and flowers you showed me the last time I was here. They were so tasty and for some reason I was really craving them today. She blushed.

Behemoth laughed, Don't be embarrassed, my Queen, it's very common to have cravings. He said.

Yeah, and apparently if I didn't bring her over here she was going to tear off one of my back plates. The King said, clearly annoyed.

I'm sure that just the mood swings talking, my King. I remember all the threats my life mate would spit in my face during the last week or two till she gave birth, but that was just her way of telling me she loves me. There was this one time when she was carrying our ninth cub-

Nine cubs? Wow, so many hatch-I mean cubs, can you imagine? She said, turning her attention to the King with a big smile on her face.

The King shook his head, Don't even think about it.

Behemoth smiled while he observed the interaction with the King and Queen. The way she would smile at him and the way he tried to be serious while hiding his smirk by turning his head away. There was love between them and still had a hard time believing what Rodan told him was true. But he didn't want to push the issue since the fire demon said it didn't matter anymore.

I'm just saying who said we need to stop at one

Are we really going to discuss this in front of him?

It's just a wonderful thought.

That's your emotions talking, not you. Do you honestly think you can handle going through this again?

Well, Scylla's done it plenty of times and she had dozens of hatchlings at the same time…

The sound of the lovely squid name made Behemoth jolt up happily and he cleared his throat. My Queen.

She turned her head to face him and to show respect he laid himself down on his stomach so he could talk to her at her level. Such a tiny thing she was, but will always see her as his Alpha. What is it, Behemoth?

Well, as you can see I'm a very old fashion male and normally, I would go to a Sire to ask this, but since you are the closest thing to family to the lovely Miss Scylla….He could see the confused look on the Queen's face while the King leaned in to make sure he was hearing him right….I would like to ask for your permission to court her, my lady.

Before the Queen could say something, the King let out a big snort and burst out laughing. Which was weird since he had never seen the King laugh before….it even freaked out the Queen till her face scrunched in annoyance. What's so funny? She asked.

And Scylla said you had bad taste. The King said, trying to calm himself down.

My King, really? It's been millions of years, let it go. She said, crossing her arms.

Oh no, after all those wise cracks and bitchy remarks she would throw into my face over the years...this...this is exactly what I need…

Oh Kaiju, I'm sorry Behemoth, they didn't exactly get along when they first met. She said, rubbing her belly.

It's quite alright, so do I have your permission and blessing? He asked. Because I won't go through with it if you said no.

Oh my, do you have any idea how long I've been trying to find someone for her, but she would never let me go through with it.

Are you going to tell him why? The King asked slyly.

I mean I thought there was something the last time we were here, but I just thought you were being polite. Oh, this is just fantastic. I'm so happy I could cry.

The King groans and wipes his claws down his face. How many more weeks till that egg is due? He said to himself. But seriously, are you going to tell him?

Well that makes two of us than my Queen and no worries, I promise I will treat her well and make her happy.

Quit ignoring me, are you going to tell him or do I? King asked.

Please, don't ruin the moment, my King. Remember stress hurts the egg. She said, smiling

Yes, and now I know how I can thank Scylla for that little piece of info so are you going to tell him or not.

Tell me what? Behemoth asked.

The Queen laughed nervously. Um, I love Scylla and all I want is the best for her, but she's….well...she's very difficult when it comes to male companionship.

Well, I'm sure I could never replace her previous mate, but I will try my best to live up to his qualities.

The King snickered, What makes you think she had a mate before? His statement made his Queen glare at him quickly before going back to him.

I'm certain she did since she mentioned having hatchlings.

The Queen's wings started to flutter a bit and she gave him a sad, almost pitiful, smile while the King continued to grin slyly. He's right, Scylla never had a mate; it was just how her species work you could say.

What, would she not accept me because I'm not a squid kaiju? He asked, a bit hurt, but kept his positive spirit up. Surely being around you two she would see how well an interspecies relationship can be.

Can I tell him before he goes too deep into this. The King asked.

Please be quiet my King, you're going to embarrass him. The Queen huffed.

I hate it when I'm missing something, so whatever it is, just tell me, I can handle it.

The Queen smiled nervously. Well, you see…

For crying out loud, my Queen, the King said then turned to Behemoth. She only uses males for eggs and that's it. There's no love, no companionship, just straight up use them to get their seed to make eggs.

You didn't have to be so blunt about it, my King.

Well, I'm just saying I lost count how many times you tried to find her a male companion and it ends up with the two of you fighting and me stuck in the middle. Now what makes you think this time will be different?

Because I think it will be different and if Behemoth is interested then that gives him every right to try. She said, defensively.

Behemoth stayed speechless and couldn't help, but blush a little from the King's words. Back then when there were more Kaijus than those little things, he heard there were species that were just breeders. There was no courtship involved or feelings. Females would just pick the best male for them to give them strong and healthy hatchlings or cubs. Well, that will explain why Scylla was nice to him, but politely kept her distance. He couldn't help, but frowned a little since he really did like the female yet now, he's not sure if he could actually be ok with just being a Breeder. Not to mention, his kind gives birth to cubs not lay eggs so how would that work?

Oh, don't get upset my friend, times are different and Scylla is worth trying to win over. The Queen said.

You know how she is, my Queen, she's not going to like this. Might as well back down while you still can. The King said.

I still believe it will work. In fact the next time she comes by I will talk to her about it. The Queen said, full of confidence.

Not the way he wanted to go, but it was a start.Well, if courting her might be a bit of a stretch, I would very appreciate it if you put in a good word for me. I just want to see her again, I find her simply fascinating. Behemoth said. Did she tell you how we first met? It was during the invasion of the False King.

Was this before I was blown up or dropped from the sky? The King asked, in a moody tone.

The Queen sighed in a very romantic kind of way, Don't mind him, I would love to hear the story. She said, only to hear the King groaned.

I thought we were here for plants not to hear a story in the rain. He said.

It's quite dashing, it all started when I woke up after being asleep for eons. So here I was walking around, destroying everything on site while hearing a buzzing sound in my head. So during all this odd chaos I hear this painful cry coming from a level down city and found her in a very awkward situation…..

0000000

The Queen gave him her word she will speak to the lovely squid on his behalf and hopefully, she will come and see him, so everyday he would make himself look nice and wait by the shore in hopes he will see her. But as the days went on, the smile and the optimism slowly started to fade. For the first time since he's been awake, he actually felt miserable. After doing this for two weeks, the ugly vibe he was spewing out was grabbing his companion's attention.

Wow, this brings back memories. He heard his fire demon friend say from behind him.

What is that supposed to mean? Behemoth asked in a low whisper.

Just watching you wait by the ocean every single day for something to happen. He said, walking over to him to sit down by his side. I lost count how many days the Queen did this when the brute left her.

Behemoth couldn't help, but chuckle because he told Rodan not to call the King that because it was very disrespectful, but it is what it is. That was one thing Rodan won't let him win. Oh well, just something else to get used to when it comes to the fire demon. Was she miserable as well? He asked.

Yup, but after talking some sense into her, she started to get herself out of that funk you are currently in.

I apologize, but I don't know, I was really hoping she would show up. I even thought about going over to her nesting ground instead just to put my mind at ease.

Rodan cringed, I wouldn't do that. You can't swim, you would have to go through so many populated places and she has one bitchy companion over there that loves to get into Kaiju's business.

Oh…..why do you have to make everything so dramatic. He asked.

Because it was. Rodan chuckled.

He sighed, You know, I really thought she and I clicked, but I guess I was wrong. Maybe the King was right about-

Rodan spat, Yuck, Behemoth, don't let that brute's opinion bring you down. He doesn't know shit.

Very encouraging words, my friend. Behemoth said, sarcastically. But if you don't mind, I would like to be alone please.

Are you sure? He asked.

Yes, I don't want my sad mood to bring you down as well.

His friend rolled his eyes and spread out his wings. Alright, I'm going to head out for some sky time, I'll be back later.

I would stay away from her home, if I were you. Males tend to get aggressive towards others when their mates are pregnant.

Yeah, yeah, quit talking to me like I'm a hatchling. He said, flying up into the sky.

0000000

It took nearly half a day to get to her nesting ground, but Rodan had a mission to do. It's bad enough he was a moody, sarcastic asshole, he didn't want his new friend to become one as well. He knew first claws what heartbreak could do to a male and that's something Behemoth did not deserve because Scylla was too damn picky. He looked down and could see the squid kaiju talking to her disgusting companion and flew down towards them. The two females didn't look surprised to see him landing meters away, releasing a small burst of flames before folding his wings in.

Rodan, what brings you here? Scylla asked, stepping back from the parasite.

I need to talk to you about-Holy shit what the hell happened to your eye? Rodan said, looking at the Muto. Of course he sort of knew since the King told him she lost it due to her disrespecting him, but didn't know what transpired.

Save it! I don't need your pity, you son of a bitch. She growled. Her face was badly scared, there was nothing left of her eye, but a slight hollow hole surrounded by melted black skin. Though it did give her a more evil look to match her horrible personality.

Well, that's what happened when you pissed off the King, my friend. Scylla said, with a stern look.

And you say I make stupid mistakes, so what did you do to piss off the brute. Step on his tail? Made wisecracks about the Queen to him?

The Muto looked away, clearly upset and embarrassed and Scylla huffed, No, much worse, she, for some twisted reason, tried to seduce the King….

Rodan nearly choked on his spit and couldn't help, but laugh. So how does it feel to make the dumbest decision in your life?

The Muto shot up from her comfortable position pissed as hell. Oh, like you have the right to talk after everything that happened between you and the Queen and in the end you're still nothing to her. NOTHING!

Rodan frowned a bit, but quickly shook his head. Apparently you were too because the King only likes the best and there was no way he would stoop so low to touch something he wouldn't eat.

You better get out of my face before I go over there and kick you so hard between the legs you won't get it up ever again! She growled.

And how are you going to aim without both eyes? He smirked.

The Muto growled and went after him only to have Scylla slide between them with her front legs pushing them away. Why does everyone want to destroy my home! She asked. Rodan if you are here to start trouble then I want you to leave.

I'm not! I'm just here to talk to you about Behemoth.

Scylla frowns, clearly not in the mood about the subject and gestures to him to walk with her away from the parasite. The Muto snorts, I don't know why you walk away from me, it's not like I don't know what's going on. Geez.

When the two were far enough away from the Muto, Scylla rolled her eyes and shook her head, Look, there's nothing to talk about, Rodan. I already had a spat about it with Mosura over the same topic and unnecessary taunts from the King, so what makes you think you can do better?

For one thing, my Mosura is too kind to be blunt, but I'm not so what the hell? He said, flapping his wings.

What the hell what? She asked then jerked back a bit. Wait, did you just say my-

He's a nice kaiju and I should know because he puts up with my antics on a daily basis now without losing his temper. I don't think I've ever seen him get mad or upset since bumping into him. Surely, he's a lot better to talk to than with that disgusting thing over there.

I heard that, you twit! The Muto shouted.

What's your point? She asked.

Oh come on, Scylla. He finds you interesting and you two have that parental, annoying, good nature vibe that I'm sure the Queen would agree with me on. Don't tell me you're too good just to sit down and talk to him. That's all he wants is to get to know you better.

For kaiju's sake, Rodan. As I told Mosura countless times over millions of years. My kind don't do companionship or mates. He's a nice male, I'll admit because he did help me out in a bad situation, but I'm not going to get his hopes up knowing nothing is going to happen between us.

Who said anything about mates, here? He just wants to talk to you and if things don't go well then fine he won't bother you again. I'm sure that can't be too hard for the sweet and lovely Scylla to do. I mean I would hate for him to see you as some stuck up bitch….

Watch the language, Rodan. She said and huffed, Why is this so important to you? I can understand Mosura because that's just how she is, but you?

He sighed, Scylla, for the last couple of weeks or so I would see him sitting by the shoreline waiting for you to show up and each day I would see that happy stupid grin on his face get smaller and smaller. For the first time being around him, he looks miserable and it hurts to see another kaiju you care about go through that again and feeling so helpless.

Another? She asked, raising a brow.

He frowns, Yes, Mosura did the same thing when the King left her. Every single day, she would wait and every single day the colors and hope would fade. Stuff like that could send even the brightest kaiju to a dark place and I don't want that to happen to him. He doesn't deserve that.

Scylla looked away and clearly in deep thought about the whole situation. You really care about your friend, don't you?

Hey, he's done a lot for me during the lowest point of my life. I don't want him to go through those awful what ifs or heartbreak like i did. That stuff can really mess you up.

Scylla shook her head and sigh…

00000000

Behemoth was sound asleep till he felt a painful slap in the face that woke him up instantly. In front of him was Rodan who had a smile spread across his break. Rodan, what in the world was that for! He asked.

No time, He said as he fluffed the fur around his face. We need to make you look presentable.

For what? Is the King and Queen coming by again for more plants?

If they were, do you think I would be here? He asked, while picking a few vines off his tusks. Now get up.

Behemoth was too tired to argue so he got up with Rodan standing on his tusks so he could look at him straight in his eyes. Now listen to me. I know you love to talk….a lot, but if you want to make a good impression, shut your mouth and let her speak. Got it?

What are you talking about? He asked, then narrowed his eyes, And what's wrong with me talking? I thought you like hearing my stories.

I do, but face it you can be quite a chatterbox and don't give other kaijus a chance to say much. Just trust me, Ok. Rodan said, pointing a claw at him.

Am I interrupting something because if I am I can always come back later?

Behemoth whipped his head sharply to the left to throw Rodan off to see Scylla standing there with water dripping off her body and a sly smirk on her face. Rodan hit the floor with a thud, but quickly got up. Of course not, I was just telling Behemoth that I was going out to find something to eat. Right my friend?

Rodan, what is going on? The sloth kaiju whispered.

Don't ask questions and keep her waiting. She came all this way to see you. Rodan whispered back.

He looked back at Scylla who was getting a little nervous just standing around and he realized why Rodan was gone for so long. You're unbelievable, you know that right?

One of my many talents. Rodan said then flew up into the air. I don't know when I'll be back, it looks like it's going to rain again. And with that, Rodan flew off, leaving him alone with the Squid kaiju.

What happened here? Scylla asked, snapping him out of his thoughts and he turned to the right to see her walking over to the burnt mess that used to be full of trees and plants. Did the things called humans do this? She asked, gliding one of her claws around in the ashes and charred trees.

He cleared his throat. No, you could say Rodan had a really bad day.

I see, may I ask what it was that set him off?

I rather not say given the situation. He said, remembering that particular day in great detail.

I understand. It's not easy looking after a high-maintenance nightmare friend. I lost count how many times the Queen nearly made me pull out my tentacles. She said.

There was a low thunder and it started to rain gently down on the pair. The smell of fresh water hit Behemoth's nose and he inhaled it deeply. I'm glad you came by. Your presence always brightens my day.

She rolled her eyes and stood right next to him. He could actually see the rain bouncing off her head and shell while it soak deep into his fur. Well, the Queen and your fire friend had a lot of nice things to say about you. She said, but frowns, But I don't want to be mean because I'm sure the Queen told you I'm not looking for male companionship or a mate so I don't know what you want out of this? Or why do you find me so interesting?

Scylla my sweet, all I want is for me to get to know you better. Let's not worry about the future, let's just enjoy this rainy afternoon for now. He said, full of high hope. Who knows if things go well and she is comfortable with him then maybe a courtship will happen.

She smiled softly. Alright...She said, lying down in the wet sand and giving him the benefit of the doubt. What would you like to know?

He smiled knowing she was going to stay and laid down so he could face her. I noticed you and the Queen seem so close. She talks about you a lot the last time she was here. So how did that friendship come about?

Scylla couldn't help, but snickered a bit. It's a long story….

I have all the time in the world for you, my Sweet. He said, with a smile.

Oh kaiju, so I woke up one night, hungry and it was that slim chance I happened to look up at the sky and see a pair of colorful wings flying by. Even back then she was so naive because she flew down to greet me and I greeted her like I normally greet meals. I went after her and the next thing I knew she stabbed me in the neck with her stinger. So down I went twitching and drooling from the mouth and you would think she would fly away, but she didn't. She sat there and kept me company while waiting for the venom to run its course...

Behemoth smiled while listening to the lovely squid kaiju talk and watching the raindrops hit her face. He truly loves the rain. A lot of good things happen to him when it pours...

Reminds me of you

Because it's falling hard

And I am too.~
