Chapter 2

Kalina Awoke alone to discover that Yumikaya was gone. Before she could get up and search for her, Kalina saw Yumikaya walk into the room accompanied by one of the pilots and a tall man in brown robes. Yumikaya was smiling happily and seemed very excited.

" So you promise to teach me how to fly? " Yumikaya looked at the pilot hopefully.

" Of course I will. A promise is a promise. " The pilot smiled and headed to a nearby lounge to relax. Yumikaya then turned to the man in robes. " And you promise to teach me about the force? "

The man knelt down and placed a hand on Yumikaya's shoulder. " A Jedi always keeps his promises young one. Go and tell your guardian that you will be studying with me today and then meet me in my quarters. "

Yumikaya nodded happily before running over to Kalina. " Kalina! Kalina guess what! "

Kalina smiled. " Hmm...Your crazy and I'm not? "

Yumikaya giggled happily. " Well yeah but not that...That Jedi promised to teach me the force and the pilots are going to teach me how to fly a ship! "

Kalina smiled happily. " In space for not more than two days and your making friends already. Off you go then. That Jedi will be waiting for you. "

Yumikaya laughed happily and ran off to find the Jedi. When she entered his room, She saw him talking to someone on a holocommunicator. The person in the holo looked important.

After the call ended, Yumikaya sat down on a cushion next to a small but long table. After the Jedi had used the force to move a large box and a sack that jingled lightly when it was moved, over next to the table, He sat on the opposite side of the table.

Yumikaya was curious as to who was in the holocall. " Who was that? She looked really important. "

The Jedi smiled and spoke softly. " That was the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. Her name is Satele Shan. She was wondering if i had reached my destination yet. "

Yumikaya smiled brightly. " So your on a Jedi mission? What are you doing? And actually now that i think about it, Where exactly are we headed? "

The Jedi smiled. " No one has told you? We are going to the planet Ilum. And I am on a mission. I'm heading to Ilum to ask an old friend for help. "

Yumikaya looked curiously at the Jedi. " A friend? Who is he? "

The Jedi smiled. " Maybe you know him hm? He is...or was a Jedi Master by the name of Tazokhan. "

Yumikaya almost glowed. " Know him? He's my father. "

The Jedi was astonished. " Your father? Then what were you doing on Nar Shaddaa young one? "

Yumikaya looked upset. " I was taken from my parents when I was two. I was a slave up until Kalina found me on Nar Shaddaa and freed me. She is taking me to my parents but the only thing I know about them is they're names. "

The Jedi spoke softly. " My name is Orgus Din. I knew your father very well before he left. We trained together and meditated together very often. He was one of the greatest men I've ever met and the best friend i ever had. I'm sure you'll like him. Now for your Force training. I'm not counting on anything happening but... As Orgus Din left, Yumikaya turned around quickly to call him. " But I don't..." She paused as the door sealed shut. " Know how.." After a while, Yumikaya felt a strong urge pulling her, like a voice in her head telling her to close her eyes and breathe. Yumikaya couldn't resist, so she closed her eyes and breathed slowly.

After about an hour, Orgus Din returned to check on Yumikaya. When he opened the door, he was met by a bright but not too intense glowing light. As it dimmed slowly, He saw Yumikaya open her eyes and reach her hand out slowly. Once Orgus Din had sat down, he noticed three crystals in Yumikaya's hand, one of which was glowing radiantly.

" Three crystals? I've never seen someone meditate and attract three crystals before. " Orgus Din was amazed by the crystals. As Orgus Din put the rest of the crystals back in the sack, Yumikaya gently placed the three crystals in her hand onto the table.

" Why is it glowing? " Yumikaya couldn't keep her eyes off the small blue crystal on the table.

" That is a Permafrost Crystal. Once attuned to someone through the Force, That person is the only one who can use it. That crystal is bonded to you Yumikaya." Orgus Din was very impressed. " The other two crystals don't have that ability but are still very admirable crystals. That blue pearl there is an Ankarres Sapphire. It has excellent healing qualities. The violet one is a Hurrikaine Crystal. Very formidable crystal. A lightsabre with these crystals will be quite a sight to behold young one. " Orgus Din smiled brightly.

Yumikaya smiled as Orgus Din explained the properties of the three crystals. Once he was done explaining, Orgus Din opened the large box and looked back at Yumikaya. " Seeing as your Force Sensitivity seems finely attuned already, I'll let you construct your lightsabre here, Before we continue your meditation and focus training. This box is full of lightsabre parts. Meditate and listen to the parts that call to you. "

Yumikaya nodded slowly as she closed her eyes and did her best to listen and focus. After a few moments, Lightsabre parts began floating out of the box and landing on the table gently. Once all the necessary parts were on the table, Yumikaya tried to focus more intensely. The lightsabre parts shook slightly for a moment before falling still.

Orgus Din looked at Yumikaya intently. " Focus. Concentrate completely on what you want the lightsabre to look like and let it flow through you and into the parts. The force will assemble your lightsabre. Just focus. "

Yumikaya nodded without opening her eyes and stayed still. Focusing as hard as she could on the parts for what seemed like forever before the parts on the table shook for a moment and rose off the table, slowly coming together to form the lightsabre. The lightsabre came together and combined to make a black Mandalorian iron hilt with a crimson leather grip and gold etching along the hilt. The emitter was decorated by four small spikes pointing in the direction of the blade and the pommel was a small circular shape with slight length and a flat base. Before completely assembling, The three small crystals on the table floated to the lightsabre and fitted into place.

After opening her eyes, Yumikaya smiled brightly at the beautiful lightsabre floating towards her. Yumikaya took the lightsabre gently and held it like it was a part of herself. When she activated the lightsabre, The blade glowed with a radiant but deep ice blue colour.

" An amazing lightsabre. But until you are trained to use it i must ask that you keep it deactivated. I don't want you hurting yourself or anyone around you. That being said, Well Done. Be proud of yourself Yumikaya. Now onto your focus training. Can you do a handstand? " Orgus Din smiled slightly.

Yumikaya deactivated her lightsabre and placed it on the table gently. After looking back to Orgus Din she spoke softly. " I can but not for long. Why? "

Orgus Din smiled. " Come over here and do a handstand but focus in the same way you did to build your lightsabre. Use the force to keep your balance. "

Yumikaya nodded and did as she was told. The first several times she tried she couldn't keep her focus and fell to the floor. After hitting the floor again. she stood and turned to Orgus Din . " I can't...I just can't. There are too many distractions. All I can think about is my lightsabre and with all the noise from the ship...I just cant..."

Orgus Din smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder gently. " You CAN do this. I can feel it. Your force powers and sensitivity are almost triple at your age then mine were when i was twice your age. You just need to keep at it. Remember Yumikaya. There is no chaos, There is harmony. The noise from the ship, that's the chaos. You need to find the harmony in it. "

Yumikaya sighed but nodded and performed another hand stand. This time she focused on the happiness she felt when she was freed and told she had a family, and the feelings of excitement and pride when she opened her eyes and saw her magnificent lightsabre. Focusing on it completely as best she could, she managed to keep her balance for a few moments longer than before but the result was the same.

" That was much better. Keep focusing like that and keep practicing and you will have perfect focus before you know it. That is all for today. Go and show your lightsabre to Kalina and get some rest. We still have a long way to go before we get to Ilum and your learning piloting tomorrow. Off you go now. "

Yumikaya smiled and hugged Orgus Din gently. " Thank you for everything Master Orgus. " Orgus Din smiled as Yumikaya ran off to show Kalina her lightsabre and to get some sleep.
