Apologies for the three-year wait. I have finally got around to finishing this story! I am contemplating writing a sequel involving Peter's plan to take back his territory from Scott.

Chris held the unconscious boy in his arms. He was breathing. That was something. But he had lost a lot of blood. His face was had turned grey and his lips where black. There was no immediate way of knowing if they had got the medicine to him in time.
All Chris could think about was Scott cradling his daughter's lifeless body. He was too late to save her. He wasn't even there to say goodbye.
No. Not again. I am not going through this again! I am not losing another child!
Cora and Derek were holding Isaac's hands, taking us much of his pain as possible.

Isaac opened his eyes. He tried to focus in on the fait light coming from a window, but it was no use. Sweat was tripping from forehead and his back was drenched from his fever.
He felt the cool fingers of someone holding his hand.
"Isaac?" The voice was soft, almost unrecognisable as the stern she-wolf he was in love with. In love with? Was he? Yes he was, and always had.
"Cora. Are you ok?"
"Yes. Why wouldn't I be?" The hand was immediately retracted. And just like that she was back to her usual self.
"You were shot."
Cora sighed. Not in anger. At least, she wasn't annoyed with Isaac. If anything she was annoyed with herself.
"I got better. I should let the others know you ok." Cora stood up and headed for the door. "They were worried when you didn't wake up."
"Were you worried?"
Cora stopped and looked at Isaac.
"About me."
She smiled. A kind sweet smile which lit us her face.
"Yes."
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"What happens now?"
"What?"
"They are just going to keep coming until Isaac is…"
"I know!" The hunter's grief and anguish filled the words.
Cora entered the room. All heads turned. "He is awake."
Chris ran upstairs.
Everyone cheered. They may have had their differences, and some were far from friends. But in truth they all cared for the young wolf.

In the time it has taken Cora to run to the dinner, Isaac had found his t-shirt and socks.
"It's good to see you are alright." Came the voice of his guardian.
"You too." Said the teen, with a little more angst then intended. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that."
"Yes, you did. And you're right. If I had stayed…"
"It's ok."
"No, it isn't. What you had to go through, what you had to do. It shouldn't have come to that."
"I'm sorry. I…I should go."
"What?"
"I...I killed him. How can you even look at me?" He yelled. "They were right. I'm a monster."
"You saved Melissa and Stiles. You put your own life in danger for Derek and Cora. Would a monster do that?"
Isaac sunk to the floor. Tears flooded from his eyes. Whether it was the guilt of killing a man, the fear of losing his friends or the lack of sleep or everything he did not know.
Chris pulled the boy into his arms. "It's ok Isaac. I'm here. I've got you. I always will."

Isaac and Chris went to join the others at the dinner adjacent to the motel where they were staying.
The diner was empty except for the party of Werewolves, hunters, one banchee, and Stiles.
Whilst they waited for their food they heard the door open. Heads turned in anticipation of the Calavera's return.
Melissa McCall had walked in.
Scott ran to the door to give him mum a hug.
Isaac stood up and walked over to the door. Until that moment he didn't know if she was alive or dead.
Once the mother had greeted her son she moved on to Isaac in gulfing him in her arms. After a while she let go.
"How did you know where to find us?"
"Stiles has been sending me updates. Besides I think you have waiting for this long enough." She handed Isaac an envelope. It was from the adoption agency.
Isaac ripped it open. Inside was an adoption certificate with is new name: Isaac Lahey-Argeant.
He hugged Mellisa again swinging her round in excitement. He put her down and ran over to Chris.
"Chris I…I don't know what to say."
"I do. After…after Allison, I didn't care what happened to me. I could only see this emptiness, this black hole in my life. I thought I had nothing left. But I was wrong-what I am trying to say is, you were my son long before I filed for the adoption."
"Does this mean I can call you Dad? I mean I don't have to if…"
"Son. Dad is fine."
They hugged.

"Tomorrow we go after the Calavera's." Said Derek.
"Maybe you don't have to." The Hales and Breden looked up to see their new hunter friend.
"I just texted my madre. I told her if she wants to see her granddaughter for Christmas she will keep out of Beacon Hills."
"Will that work?"
"She knows she had overstepped. She has already lost the support of serval of our allies. The rest have threatened to do the same if she have tries something like that again. Especially now that Chris has adopted the boy. Under our code, she can not touch him without Argeant's consent."
"So its over? Just like that?" Said Cora.
"Just like that".

Isaac looked around at his friends-no his family. They were all smiling even the Hales.
The song he had been forced to listen to the last few days seemed to some up his sentiments.
"I've got my memories always inside of me. And I won't go back, yeah this is home."
