HARRY POTTER: WELCOME TO SLYTHERIN- YEAR 1

A/N - JK ROWLING OWNS HARRY POTTER NOT ME

A/N 2- Yes, it is year 1. The previous chapter was during winter break! This one is CHRISTMAS DAY!

Chapter 2 - The Broom.

"Harry…. wake up! It's Christmas." James exclaimed to Harry.

"No… let me… sleep…." he moaned longly.

"Alright then…." Harry realized James was being silent… too silent.

"DO YOU WANT TO WAKE UP NOW!" James yelled, half laughing, slamming Harry with a pillow.

"OH, YOU'RE ON!" Harry yelled, getting up, and chasing after James. They ran around the whole mansion in circles. Lily watched them from the kitchen

The family had made up a few days ago after Harry made Lily cry. She and James had a conversation and decided to finally accept Harry as a Slytherin. They were both a bit worried about Draco since they thought Harry would be friends with the Weasleys, not Malfoys.

20 MINUTES LATER

The 3 Potters sat around the Christmas tree. Harry opened the first present, it was a green and silver bed set, with a big Slytherin logo on it. It was their way to show Harry that they accepted him. He also got a wand stand, green and silver sweatshirt, a few prank toys, and the greatest of all, A NIMBUS 2000.

Harry was in delight, he hugged both of his parents and yelled, "THANK YOU!" After the excitement, he asked why he got one since 1st years weren't allowed broomsticks.

"You'll see when you get back to school," was all they said.

That made it a lot WORSE.

He waited minute by minute for winter break to be over. Until eventually it came.

Harry ran through 9/3 quarters. As he did so, he spotted the Weasleys. He frowned at the sight of them. But, he decided that they wouldn't ruin his mood. In fact, they won't have a part in his year at all.

Little did Harry know how wrong he was.

Harry noticed that Draco wasn't on the Hogwarts Express, he must have been so excited to arrive at school he didn't originally notice.

Harry leaned his face on the window, the trip was going to be boring without Draco. As he drifted off, Malfoy arrived in the compartment and pulled out his wand.
