Harry Potter: Welcome to Slytherin: Year 1

A/N - Sorry about the cliff hanger. In this chapter, Harry realizes he may not be able to enjoy his broomstick for a long time. PLEASE REVIEW!

Harry woke up quickly. He looked up to see Draco Malfoy, his best friend, standing on top of him, wand out. He was confused.

"Oh, Potter…. Your mudblood mother isn't here to save you, not THIS TIME!" Draco sneered.

Before Harry could speak, Draco yelled "CRUCIO!" The pain was intense, it felt like a thousand knives were stabbing into him. Harry moaned, how could nobody have noticed what was happening. He was wrong, somebody did. Ron Weasley, his worst enemy, walked into the compartment. It was the last thing he remembered before passing out.

RON WEASLEY - POV

I walked into the compartment which I heard screaming in, once I walked in, I saw Draco Malfoy standing over somebody, somebody with round glasses. I realized it was Harry Potter, his enemy. I thought, maybe if I saved him, he would want to be my friend again. Even if he didn't, I wouldn't care, it would be better than him being dead. I pushed Malfoy onto the ground, he hit his head and passed out. Potter was passed out too

3 HOURS LATER- THE HOSPITAL WING.

I woke up in the hospital wing. Every part of my body ached horribly. Once I opened my eyes, I saw Ron Weasley. I wondered what he was doing here.

"What are you doing here, blood traitor," I said weakly.

"I saved you, Potter. You should be a bit thankful."

"From what, your mudblood girlfriend or something?" I said.

"From Malfoy, you idiot. I found him using an unforgivable curse on you."

I was shocked, DRACO, tried to kill me. Why I wondered, what did I do to him? But, it all came back to me. His father…..

FLASHBACK BEGINS

"My father…. He worked for Lord Voldemort… He has been trying to get me to help him take Voldemort's place." Draco said, his voice scratchy after crying.

"Will you join him?" I asked.

"No, I don't think so. The only reason I would is…. To save my mother." He said honestly.

"That's… good."

FLASHBACK ENDS

Draco's father must have tried to kill…. Draco's mom. But, after that, I don't honestly want to be his friend anymore. That only left me one option… try to be Ron's friend again.

"How 'bout we try to be friends again?" I asked Ron.

I watched his expression, he looked shocked, then happy.

"Sure."

I got out of the hospital bed since Madam Pomfrey wasn't there to stop me.
