Ethan knew the boy was what he was. He knew he wasn't even human. But he was flawless, not an opinion, but a fact. All of the Dollans were flawless. Any imperfections were found and destroyed. Or so they say. Did red hair count as imperfection? Ethan sighed and glanced at the clock. Another long hour waiting for the bell to ring to end the lecture about the dictator's rule and how it came to be. He rested his chin on his hand and sighed. All of them had taken tests on this subject and passed. Why were they still doing it?

Someone tapped his shoulder gently, causing Ethan to turn towards the person. It was Silver, looking slightly nervous. He handed him a creased paper and turned back to attention. Ethan rose an eyebrow and unfolded the paper. In a neat script, there was a sentence. 'Your eyes are gold.' Ethan contained a snicker and whipped out his pen, writing a message back. 'Yeah, so?' The reply came soon after. Ethan noticed the way the red haired boy did it. When the teacher was making frantic hand gestures at one of the other boys, he would soundlessly hand him the paper and go back to attention, like a robot, sort of. The gold eyed boy stared at the message on the bottom of the small slip of paper. ' I didn't think normal people could have that color for their eyes.' That explained a lot and proved once again that Ethan's theory was correct.

The note passing went on for awhile. Both boys just talked about anything, after a small debate pointing out the thinner boy's eyes were just as strange, which said boy replied smoothly with the fact his eyes were a genetic mutation since originally his eyes were black. Silver was the only color that could properly cover up the monstrosity that was his eyes. At that point, they dropped the subject and talked about what they liked about the color. Silver had immediately pointed out Ethan's eyes were like the sun, which said boy replied hesitantly with the fact that the red haired boys were like the moon.

When the bell rang, all the students packed their things and went to their next class. Both boys had walked to their next class, seeing as their schedules were identical. They talked about a few things and had another debate on their eye colors. Ethan frowned when the other rolled his eyes at the comment that Ethan's eyes were just a recessive trait, which prompted Silver to say that there was no way the gold was ever a natural trait for eyes. Ethan ended the debate, flustered at the other and walked into their next class. One Ethan hated with a passion. It was this class that saw if you would make a good Team Rocket or secret police member, which meant having to do horribly hard tasks and even has to see a demonstration battle between a Pokemon and a human. The Pokemon was terrified to attack the human and was knocked around by its 'trainer' until it attacked the human, who was a convict that 'deserved' it.

Whilst the class sickened Ethan, Silver was excited. He had a small smile as he watched the poor Pokemon be whipped. He gave a triumphant snort when the human was attacked. All while Ethan had his head turned, his breakfast threatening to come up. The moment the class ended, the raven haired boy made a bolt for the exit, practically running to his art class and throwing himself to his desk. His let out a shutter and rested his head in his arms. He hated to see Pokemon hurt, no matter how dangerous everyone says they are. He felt a hand on his shoulder, provoking him to look at the silver eyes of the surprised redhead. " You ran out of there pretty fast. Was something the matter?" He asked quietly. The other shook his head, knowing the consequence of saying he didn't like the abuse of the small creatures. All schools had to drill out that pity, which no matter what, could not be emptied from the raven haired boy's mind. He just pretended so he wouldn't be reported to the secret police for any possibility of rebellion.

The boy narrowed his eyes and removed his hand, choosing to sit in the empty seat beside him. " Ethan... It doesn't matter what you say, I'll remain calm." He said with the slight edge of demandingness in his otherwise calm voice. The other thought for a moment and nodded slowly. " I hate that class... It makes me sick." He said under his breath, shuddering again. As he had said, Silver remained void of emotion and nodded slowly. " I.. can't say the same, but I can understand. Some people are innocent and hate seeing anything hurt. They usually work at hospitals or somewhere.. um.. 'Pokemon friendly,' I think?" Silver said slowly, nodding his head. Ethan sighed and ducked his head in his arms. Those moons were going to be the end of him.

Was he sickened by the sight of Pokemon abuse? How odd. Shoving the thought out of his head, he gathered his materials and followed the boy with suns for eyes to the next class. Gym.. Oh dear. One accident and he could be ruined. He'd have to be very careful. He'd prefer not to have to explain himself to anyone if he tripped and his arm broke off. That would be too troublesome. The quiet boy made his way to the locker rooms, heading to a teacher's office and handing over his schedule so they could assign him a locker and a uniform. After a few minutes, the colorless clothes were shoved into his arms and he was given a lock, along with the combination and his locker number. He navigated his way through the room, ignoring the other kids staring at him before seeing his new locker.

Along with Ethan right next to it. All these occasions made him think Giovanni had assigned them everything together just to make watching him that much easier. After mumbling a greeting to the other, the redhead opened the locker, placed his stuff inside and turned his back to Ethan, before quickly getting into the uniform, placing his clothes on the locker shelf and closing it, locking it and double checking it was properly done. One he made sure it was, was turned to see Ethan staring at him.

"Do you need to tie your hair back? It seems kinda long to me." In the others hand was a plain black hair tie, which Silver took gratefully and pulled his hair into a loose ponytail, before following the other towards the gym, where everyone was lined up. Silver went to the teacher and was given the spot to the right of - you guessed it- Ethan, where he took his spot and glanced around the gym. The wood floors held the only traces of color in the whole school, and the walls were just gray. There were cages full of different types of sports equipment, and most fearfully, there were multiple ropes hanging from the ceiling, which made the Dollan tremble. The teachers took roll and spoke up, informing them that they were doing free play. Silver quietly thanked the higher powers above. He could just play a simple game that he couldn't break from.

Gold grabbed his wrist and dragged him to a lone part of the gym, grabbing a black and white checkered as well, probably so they could talk and pretend to be playing a sport. "You're really pale, Silver. Do you not go outside a lot?" Kick. "M-my father preferred that I stayed inside if I could help it." Kick. "Did it ever get boring?" Kick. "Not really… I always had books to read." Kick. "Bookworm huh?" Kick. "I guess so. What about-" "SILVER LOOK OUT!"

I glanced to my left, my eyes going wide at the sight at a rouge ball flying straight for my face. If my head chattered, I would enter a state equivalent to being dead. Time slowed to crawl. Many questions flew through my mind. Would it hurt? Would I really be missed? How would Ethan react if my head just shattered into a million pieces? No, I thought. No more questions. I closed my eyes and tilted my head, braced for the impact.

This was a cruel, cruel world.

Rose: ENDING IT HERE :P I know I'm a horrible person. Deal. Gotta make people excited for the next chapter. Oh and review down below. How do YOU spell gray? With an a or e? I'm curious. Anyways, see you next time!
