Silver Moons and Golden Suns

Rose: I'm back from the dead! And don't worry, I promise to be more active from now on! I really do appreciate the people who've been around, since this is one of my long hiatus stories. And to those people who were encouraging me in the reviews, it means a lot! Even though it is totally possible they will never see this. But I appreciate them nonetheless! Enough talking, let's get down to business! ( I say as I review chapter 3 so I know what the heck I was doing.)

It was a little annoying that Ethan wasn't home, but that was out of his control. He made his way back to his home and waited. He asked and pleaded for his mother to do a favor for him. It wasn't very nice, but he didn't know what else to do. So, his mother asked some Rocket Elites to tell her when Ethan got back to his home, so Silver could once again try to meet up with him.

It took an hour. His mother walked in and gave him the look, before grabbing her car keys and heading to their car. The teen Dollan followed the older, getting into the backseat, holding the gift box close to him. It took a lot of time to decided what the raven haired teen would like best, but they finally settled on something. An ancient gift that really held no meaning, but to someone who hated to see Pokemon hurt, it would do nicely.

They arrived at the house and Silver climbed out, heading to the door and knocking, carefully holding the box. The door swung open, showing Ethan, bandages over his nose from when he protected the smaller teen from the rouge ball from the day before. Silver took a deep breath before he started talking.

"I'm so sorry for what happened to you the other day. So, I wanted to make it up to you!" He held the box out to the other, who hesitantly took it, and invited the other inside. They went to the dining room and Ethan put the box on the table and gently started opening it, revealing a small little plushie of a Pokemon called Cyndaquil, and a tiny badge that was silver, with a sideways square with wings on both sides.

"It's known as the Zephyr Badge. A long time ago, before Giovanni took over, there was a gym system, and in this city, there was a gym. The victors of those gyms would get a tiny little badge like that. This leader used bird Pokemon, and when Giovanni took over, he disappeared, and his gym became a Police station." He explained to the other, mesmerized by the tiny piece of metal, and the soft plush. Slowly, he started to grin, brighter than his eyes, and he set both down before hugging the other.

"Thanks so much! Those are so cool!" He gushed happily, backing away and looking at the two gifts again, that grin still wide across his face. It made Silver happy to know that he liked the gift. He and his mother took a lot of time to choose them. The plushie was the nightmare. Trying to decide which Pokemon Ethan would like better, but the redhead chose the fire type, to match with the blazing sun Ethan had for eyes.

They hung around and talked for awhile when Ethan got silent all of a sudden. He looked troubled and lost in thought. Then he spoke up.

"You're a Dollan aren't you? I mean it's pretty obvious with how you act. That and you just… Don't look human. I'm fine with that, so don't think I'll like hate you forever because of that. I mean you have a heart and soul, so you're basically a human too. Unless you don't have either?" He gave a teasing look to the other, who was pale and nervous, but it all disappeared at the joke. Silver laughed softly before it turned into a real belly laugh. Leave it to the raven haired teen to lighten the mood over such a sensitive subject. But the Dollan was more worried about how Ethan would react if he did find out that Silver was tasked in watching him to make sure he wouldn't turn traitor to his father.

They kept talking until Silver's mother poked her head into the room. She was a pretty red haired woman, with the same Dollan features as Silver. She gave her 'son' a teasing look.

"Seems you enjoyed the gift, Mr. Hunter."

"Just Ethan is fine. And I really do."

"Well, it's time for me and Silvy to go on home. Silv, go say bye to your friend. I'll be waiting in the car." She winked towards the smaller of the two as she left.

"S-sorry about my mom. See you at school Monday." He stood up to leave when Ethan carefully caught her wrist.

"Hey wait. Meet me at the Bell Tower tomorrow. I wanna show you something super cool." Ethan said, almost with a pleading look in his eyes. Silver gulped and gave a nod.

"Yeah sure. Meet you there at the noon meal?"

"Sounds like a plan to me. See you tomorrow Silver!" Ethan gave another huge grin and waved as Silver left the home, sitting back in his mother's car.

"He seems like a good kid. I have no idea why your father wants him watched." His mother said, driving them towards the direction of home. Silver nodded in agreement.

"Me neither. Is dad going to be home today?" He asked quietly, hoping that the tyrant would be too busy working to head home for the day.

"Not today. Apparently, the DNA testing is going well, so he wants to put even more focus on that project. He feels it's only a matter of time before his goals are reached." She glanced in the mirror, exchanging a look with the younger. They both knew what it would be like if the project succeeded.

If the process of cloning became successful, then Giovanni wouldn't need the Dolla versions of his wife and son. Because he'll have the flesh and blood versions instead. So then both will be discarded, or shattered. Because why have an inferior replica when you could have the real deal?

Rose: AND WE'RE BACK! Yes, this is a little short, but I wanted to give an update to show that the hiatus was mostly over!
