Silver Moons and Golden Suns

Rose: IM HERE! I'm on my last break before I graduate and I'm updating everything! And maybe starting a new story! SO GET READY EVERYONE I'VE LEFT WAITING FOR MONTHS! Also, you might notice how I have forgotten how the radio tower and underground work. Shhhhhhh… I know it's wrong. Just roll with it.

You can't say that Silver didn't have good ideas. Dressing up as a Rocket Grunt was actually pretty smart. I even fit them pretty well. He didn't even half to change, being Giovanni's son and all. Even though he hated everything to do with Team Rocket, but whatever. The grunts were still scared of him and let him pass. We decided to split up, and I was having no good luck on my end. I found a radio hostess, but not the Admin, or the Director he was disguised as. I went to the next floor, where Silver had gone, and saw him talking to a few of the scientists. I walked over and nudged him and he turned away from the others and looked at me.

"There you are. Did you find him down there? These grunts say that they haven't seen him come through their floor." He asked me, looking at me expectantly.

"Sorry, wasn't down there. Maybe he's upstairs? In the Director's Office? That's a good place to pretend to be the Director." I glanced towards the stairs and started walking over when Silver grabbed my arm.

"Hold on. I told you these guys didn't see him come this way. If they didn't see him there's no way he's upstairs." He glared at me, but there was something else. Something I didn't really understand, so I let it drop. "Let's check the Department Store's basement. I know these idiots like going down there, and that the basement and this building are linked. Either we find the real or the fake down there." The logic made sense, but something felt off.

"Sure. Let's go. Oh, but let me ask the others. Maybe they'll know for sure!" Silver rolled his eyes at my comment and went down the stairs without me. I grabbed my PokeGear and tapped on Silver, my Silver's, contact and heard the call get picked up.

"Ethan? How are things? Did you find the Admin in the Tower?" He spoke softly, and I heard some soft chatter in the background, along with some typing.

"No. Silver thinks he might be done in the basement area though."

"No? The real Director is down there, yes, but the Admin is up in the Director's Office." The Dollan told me. I gritted my teeth and ran up the stairs, seeing the office empty. However, I heard a Noise behind the desk. When I checked over there, I saw Silver, tied up and looking pretty furious. I helped get the bindings off of him and he gave me a half grateful look, and the other half was his usual heated glare.

"Thanks. When I get my hands on that bastard, I swear I'll-"

"So he's going around as you? Had me fooled. The glare was pretty similar." I said meekly, which lead to the glare being on me.

"Great. Do you know where he's going?" He asked bitterly. I nodded and then my eyes went wide. He's going down to where the Director is!

"We need to hurry to the basement, he might be transporting the Director out of the city!" I yelled and started running down all the stairs as fast as I could. Silver kept easily, so we made good time in running down the street, into the large shopping building, and making a beeline for the elevator to the basement. After that, it was shoving boxes around and warp panels, until we saw the fake Silver hovering menacingly over the Director, who was tied up and looked absolutely terrified until he saw us, which gave our presence away to the fake. He turned towards us with a wide grin.

"And here I thought I was pretty convincing. Anyways, Silver, thanks for walking right into my office. You were too observant for your own good. And now for introductions." The fake took off the clothes he was wearing, revealing a set underneath, and removed a wig and contacts, leaving a scrawny purple haired man. How he hid the beard I'll never know.

"I am Petrel, one of the Executives of Team Rocket! You won't be getting the Director from my clutches!" He announced, grabbing one of his Pokeballs. I grit my teeth and grabbed Typhlosion. This was it! My first real step at taking down Team Rocket!

"Let's go then!" I yelled, tossing out the powerful fire type. The battle the ensued was pretty easy, as a Flamethrower here and a Thunder Punch there made quick work of his team. Afterward, he just sighed and shrugged, stepping aside and walking away as we ran to untie the Director.

"Oh thank the Heavens! But, please, don't celebrate yet. In the back, there's an elevator. Go inside and fight the last Executives. One will be blocking the elevator, and I'm not sure about the other. But please, end this hostile takeover!" He pleaded with us, before dashing off, probably to get all that Team Rocket stuff off the radio.

"You heard him, we need to get rid of the rest of them."

"Right! Let's go Silver!" I'll admit, I was giddy. Once we got through this, the battle will be in our favor. I ran towards where the Director had told us this elevator would be. And like he said, there was a red-haired woman standing there, looking pretty annoyed.

"Petrel let you past? Gah. That moron. However, you won't be getting past me. I am Adriana! Consider your rebellion over!" She yelled, throwing out her first Pokemon. And again, was cleaned up completely. How strong were these Pokemon that Celebi gave me? Adriana yelled a few things before stepping aside, not even sparing a glare at us. We climbed the elevator and pressed the button to go up.

"From here it will take us to the radio tower again. Then there will be one more elevator." Silver said, picking at his nails.

"This is so cool! Maybe when I get back to my time there will be like a huge party or something!" I said, excitement finally giving through.

"Celebrating what? Most likely, to them it will be like nothing ever changed and that they were always free." He said bluntly, deflating my good mood. But he was right. Things would be really different when I went back to the past.

"Yeah… I guess so. Hold on a second." I frowned at something before taking our my PokeGear and calling up future Silver. Instead, a girl picked up.

"Sorry, Silv's asleep right now. I'm Lyra! Did you guys need something?"

"Um, can you look up someone? My Grandfather, Gold?" There was clicking on the other line before the girl, Lyra, answered.

"He became Champion of Johto but was killed in a power struggle between himself and Giovanni. Right now, he should be in Mahogany Town, trying to figure out what's going on with the radio. However, according to the records, he failed to get there in time, as the signal hit Giovanni's hideout and he returned to Team Rocket, making Gold finish his journey faster to become Champion and summon Ho-Oh, which failed because he never found the feather that Executive Archer had. If you can get that feather to him, it's basically assured that we'll win, and history will get rewritten." She said, full of hope.

"Where's this Archer guy then?" I asked, eager to help out my Grandfather.

"Actually, he's at the top of the radio tower. After that next elevator, you'll be facing him. He'll be tough if you're not prepared."

"Thanks, Lyra! We won't disappoint!" I hung up the call and started pacing around the elevator, getting too energized to sit still. History was on the brink of changing!

Rose: and that's all! See you guys in a month, or sooner, PROMISE!
