Silver Moons and Golden Suns
Rose: To be fair, no one said college would be easy. But now that I have an extended spring break, and all my classes are at home now…. I HAVE MORE TIME TO WRITE! I'm so sorry for the 2-year wait... So I'll try to make this chapter worth it, okay? Enjoy, and stay safe everyone!

Mahogany Town would always be a place full of memories for me. I had one of my last gym battles there, Quil sending wreaths of flames out against the frosted Pokemon that called the gym their own. I also caught my first shiny, a poor, tortured soul of a Gyrados. I also met Lance, one powerful trainer and helped him take down the Rocket Base hiding just in the middle of town, where the townspeople's were none the wiser.
However, while I was saving the Pokemon of the lake, apparently Team Rocket was elsewhere, messing around with the Radio Tower, and it was right in the heart of their invasion. I tried my best to try and make it there, but I was still busy, in the heat of hunting down a Murkrow that held the password I needed to save the Electrodes. Lance was trying just as hard, wanting to get the Pokemon to safety as soon as possible.
It was only after we finished our goals that I could even get started on rushing to the Pokemon Center to prepare for the next task, saving the Radio Tower. I was stopped, however, when I saw Silver waiting for me in the lobby, his usual glare and generally grumpy attitude awaiting me. He approached me as I got all my Pokeballs back from the nurse.
"Where are you heading in such a rush, you idiot?" He said, putting a hand on his hip.
"Radio Tower, duh! I need to help them out-" I was cut off in my babble pretty fast by the redhead.
"Taken care of. Obviously, while you were goofing around, I handled this." He huffed, looking smug for a moment before digging into his coat and holding something out to me.
"This is called the Rainbow Wing. You'll have more use from it then I will. Get your jaw off the floor, you have another badge to get don't you? Then I can crush you right before the Pokemon League." He jabbed, smirking at me as he shoved the feather into my hands and walking off, giving a lazy wave before going to the lake. I stood there, flabbergasted. What in the world just happened?

Waiting in the forest by a lake full of Magikarp wasn't so bad. The Pokemon were pretty friendly too. Silver had gone into town to deliver the Rainbow Wing to Gold, my grandfather before we met up and discussed the next course of action. My PokeGear rang suddenly from my bag and I quickly opened it up, answering the call.
"Ethan. What's up?" I said slowly, as a soft voice chimed through.
"Good job on the Tower, Ethan!" Silver cheered. I felt my grin almost rip across my face before he spoke up again.
"Gold will be getting Ho-Oh pretty soon, which gives you time to start hunting down the admins for good. First is Proton. Right now, he's organizing a re-" The call cut off quickly, making me jump. What just happened? Soon after, I heard footsteps approaching behind me, and a soft voice in my head.
'Time has been shifted, Ethan. Your rescue of the Tower has started the end of the future.' Celebi's voice echoed quietly. I bit my lip a bit before mustering a response.
"What happens then? If I changed time for the better… What happens now?"
'The future has been changed. Everything will remain peaceful and prosperous, so there was no way that you existed to come and save things. You informed Silver of a threat, and he will see it to the end. He can finish off Team Rocket in your stead. Which is fortunate since.. You will be disappearing.' My heart sank quickly and my panic began growing.
"What happens then? To me, Silver, my mother… What happens?!" I shouted, clutching my chest.
'You will return. Your heart will just have a new face and a new body, with a new life. As for your friend... He can't exist. He was only produced because of the tragedy. So without it… He has no way to live.' My heart twisted in a way I couldn't place. To have all my memories… Just gone?
"Then what happens?" I said softly. I could feel myself getting light, and my head getting heavy. This was disappearing, huh?
'Who knows?' Celebi replied, sounding amused almost. That was when I collapsed.

One event. The future was ruined by one single event that led to a domino effect. By fixing the one mistake, things were shifted back, and things changed. There was no Ethan Hunter to befriend a doll-like being named Silver since their counterparts lead long lives, happy and exploring the world. The story seems short, but sometimes, to fix something is simple. Just one step. But… Well. These erased souls did find themselves a way to exist. But… That isn't a part of this.
Rose: Re-reading through this story as an almost 20-year-old... I really don't know what was supposed to happen, and I apologize. The time travel.. Was pretty random right? I'm not sure where to go from there. I've changed a lot and experienced a lot. Of course, writing here will still be a part of my life. But I plan to have better ideas of what's happening. So, I apologize for ending this here, but… Well, I'll be working on something new, hoping to fill the hole left behind. I apologize, and I hope to see you later!
