Flames Of Recollection
Chapter 12
" Who are you talking about Hanabi? Who can help us? " Kaliya spoke softly as Hanabi pulled her through the village gently.
" You'll see. " Hanabi smiled as she pulled Kaliya toward the Hyuga estate. As they walked toward the door, Hiashi Hyuga opened the door and stepped out. As he closed the door and turned, Hanabi bumped into him and stepped back slightly before rubbing her forehead and looking up with a smile.
" Oh! Sorry I bumped into you father. I was just coming to see you. " Hanabi smiled warmly as Hiashi chuckled.
" And what might I be able to do for you today Hanabi? " Hiashi smiled as Hanabi pulled Kaliya closer.
" Kaliya has a Dojutsu and is struggling with control of it. Would you be able to help her while I try some Jutsu? " Hanabi smiled as Hiashi tousled her hair gently.
" I would be happy to. Firstly, I have a meeting with the Hokage. I won't be long. Feel free to train while I am gone. Remember however... " Hiashi paused as Hanabi sighed softly.
" That I cannot discuss our family Jutsu or show anyone that is not part of the Hyuga clan. I know father... " Hanabi looked away sadly as Hiashi chuckled.
" That being said, Kaliya is not part of any clan yet is she? " Hiashi smiled mischievously as Kaliya spoke.
" I am... Or would be a part of the Ryoko clan... If it still existed... " Kaliya bit her lip as tears built up in her eyes slowly.
" An unfortunate event. However, That does not mean you cannot be a part of another clan. It is a rare occurrence but some clans have been known to welcome someone who is not a blood relative into the clan as a member. The Hyuga clan has never done such a thing before, There is a first time for everything... So the Hokage tells me. So while I am strict about not sharing family Jutsu with people who are not Hyuga, There is a simple solution. It will however require one thing. " Hiashi had a stern look on his face but his expression softened as he chuckled softly. " I would be happy to induct you into the Hyuga clan Kaliya. As Hanabi's partner and lover, I consider you family already. There is however, One condition. Normally, One would enter the clan through marriage. " Hiashi paused as both Kaliya and Hanabi blushed brightly. " But you are both far too young for that. Instead, I ask that you make a vow. I ask you to vow that you will be by Hanabi's side and love her unconditionally. I ask that you care for and protect each other until the end of your lives. When the time comes, I ask you to vow that you will marry Hanabi and do everything you can to assist her in ensuring that the legacy of the Hyuga clan is not forgotten. " Hiashi looked toward Kaliya sternly as she blushed brightly once again and spoke nervously.
" I... " Kaliya took a deep breath as she turned to face Hanabi. " I vow, On my own blood, I swear that I will always love you unconditionally and that I will always care for you. I will always be by your side, No matter what happens or where we are. I swear that I will help you protect and carry on the Hyuga legacy and I swear that when the time comes, I will honour this vow by marrying you and loving you until my life ends. " Kaliya smiled as Hanabi surged forward and hugged her tightly as Hiashi spoke.
" That was easier than I expected. Hokage made it out to be some big ordeal but that was rather simple wasn't it? " Hiashi chuckled as Hanabi nudged him playfully and smiled as he tousled her hair gently." There are very few things I would not do for my daughters Kaliya. As I can now count you as my daughter, I expect you to uphold the Hyuga name with honour and integrity. I also expect the same dedication to your training that I expect from Hanabi and Hinata. I will be expecting you to uphold the terms of your vow as well. Now then, You two go and train, I will be back soon. " Hiashi smiled as he tousled both Kaliya's and Hanabi's hair gently before turning and walking toward the Hokage's building as Hanabi pulled Kaliya inside gently before pressing a passionate kiss to her lips. After a few moments, Hanabi broke the kiss and stepped back before speaking softly.
" You have no idea how much this means to me Kaliya. You have no idea how special it makes me feel that you are so ready to make a vow as important as this one. More so because you made this vow for me. I can't tell you how much it means to me that you vowed to marry me when we are old enough. " Hanabi bit her lip as Kaliya caressed her cheek gently.
" And I meant every word. It isn't just a vow Hanabi. It is also a promise to you. A promise that I will love you forever. No matter what happens, My heart will always belong to you. Without you, Both my life and my heart are incomplete. Without you, I am only half of who I am. " Kaliya smiled as Hanabi sighed tenderly and stepped forward before wrapping her arms around Kaliya as she whispered softly.
" I love you so much Kaliya. " Hanabi nuzzled Kaliya's neck gently as Kaliya held her lovingly.
" I love you too Hanabi. More than any amount of words can ever say. Now come on, Let's take a look at the Jutsu you are struggling with. " Kaliya pressed a soft kiss to Hanabi's cheek as Hanabi stepped back and nodded before walking outside to the courtyard. After a few moments, Hanabi was standing in the middle of the courtyard in her combat stance as she spoke calmly.
" Father has been trying to teach me one of our clans Hiden Jutsu. It is called Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven. I just can't get it to work... " Hanabi sighed softly but smiled as Kaliya spoke.
" Show me. Let's see if I can spot what is going wrong. " Kaliya smiled as Hanabi nodded and spoke firmly.
" Eight Trigrams Palms: Revolving Heaven! " Hanabi began spinning rapidly but nothing happened other than her spinning on the spot. After a moment, Hanabi stopped spinning and growled irritably.
" I think I see what's wrong Hanabi. " Kaliya spoke as her eyes shifted into her Rinnegan for a moment as she looked toward Hanabi with curiosity on her face. " You are trying to emit chakra from all of your Tenketsu right? "
" Yeah... I just can't get it though... It feels like I am doing everything right but it just won't activate... " Hanabi sighed disappointingly as Kaliya giggled.
" Does this depend on something like being hit or anything? " Kaliya smiled as Hanabi spoke.
" Well no... It is used to reflect attacks but it doesn't require being hit to initiate it. Why? " Hanabi had a puzzled look on her face before Kaliya took a deep breathe. After a moment, Black Chakra began seething out of Kaliya's Tenketsu on her arms and legs.
" I... I don't know if I can get them all to work... I'll try again..." Kaliya groaned softly before gasping loudly as Chakra poured out of her Tenketsu all at once. As the Chakra faded, Kaliya fell to the ground. " That is exhausting... "
" Please be careful Kaliya. Most Shinobi are not capable of this. The fact you can is a testament to your abilities. But you shouldn't push yourself too much. Your body may not be able to handle the strain. " Hanabi spoke with concern in her voice and sighed as Kaliya stood.
" One more try. I can do this. " Kaliya took a deep breathe before focusing as she had done before and Chakra once again began seething out of her Tenketsu. This time, Kaliya's eyes flashed into her Rinnegan for a moment as her Chakra intensified and she spoke softly as Hanabi watched. " Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven... It is supposed to look like this right? " Kaliya started spinning as a dome of black, Smokey chakra formed around her. As Kaliya stopped spinning, Hanabi had a look of shock on her face as she spoke.
" That's it! That's what it is supposed to do! But I just can't get it... " Hanabi sighed in disappointment but smiled as Kaliya seized her chin gently and tilted her head up.
" Your chakra isn't flowing correctly. Like mine, Your Tenketsu aren't opening properly. Imagine your Tenketsu are like a barrier keeping a river blocked. Focus on that barrier disappearing and let your Chakra flow freely. " Kaliya stepped back and smiled as Hanabi activated her Byakugan and spoke firmly.
" Eight Trigrams Palms: Revolving Heaven! " Hanabi began spinning the same as before but this time, A dome of chakra formed around her as she spun. After a moment, Kaliya's fist ignited into black flames and she rushed forward before throwing a punch at the dome of chakra. As her fist collided with the dome, Kaliya gasped loudly as her fist bounced off the dome harmlessly and she was thrown across the courtyard. As Kaliya hit the ground, Hanabi stopped spinning and rushed to her side with a look of panic on her face.
" Kaliya! Why did you do that? You could have gotten hurt! " Hanabi pulled Kaliya to her feet before hugging her tightly as she spoke.
" I could have. But I didn't get hurt. And you got it right! The Jutsu worked! "
Kaliya grinned happily as Hanabi realised what Kaliya said.
" I did it? I DID IT! " Hanabi laughed happily as Kaliya hugged her playfully.
" I knew you could Hanabi. Well done. " Hiashi spoke calmly from the doorway of the house before walking into the courtyard and petting Hanabi's head gently.
" Thank you father. It was Kaliya's help that got me there. " Hanabi smiled happily as Kaliya pulled her close and kissed her cheek enthusiastically.
" But it was your skill that made it happen. I just pointed out a little roadblock. " Kaliya giggled happily as Hiashi chuckled before speaking.
" Thank you for helping Hanabi. Now then, As promised I will help you with your Dojutsu. Will you show me please? " Hiashi sat down as Kaliya closed her eyes. As Kaliya opened her eyes, Hiashi's jaw dropped slowly. " Rinnegan... I have heard tales of it but to see it up close... Wait... Something isn't right. Your Rinnegan is jagged." Hiashi fell silent as Kaliya groaned and held her head before closing her eyes as the Rinnegan faded. " I see... You developed this on your own didn't you? "
" Yes. It feels like my head is splitting when I use it. I lose control and it is like I am asleep. I can't control what my body does at all. " Kaliya sighed sadly as Hanabi wrapped her arms around her gently.
" Interesting... " Hiashi thought quietly for a moment as Tsunade walked in and spoke.
" You know, When you told me Kaliya needed help with a Dojutsu, I was not expecting Rinnegan. " Tsunade sat beside Hiashi as he spoke.
" Is her Rinnegan simply overwhelming her or is it something else? " Hiashi spoke as he turned his head to look at Tsunade.
" Hard to say. We will need to see it for more than a few seconds to be sure. " Tsunade looked toward Kaliya, Who shook her head firmly.
" No. " Kaliya turned away as Hanabi stepped back slightly.
" No? " Tsunade stood calmly and stepped forward as Kaliya spoke again.
" No. I am dangerous when I am like that. I hurt Akiya and nearly hurt Hanabi. I am not risking it. " Kaliya stepped away quickly as Tsunade motioned to touch her. " NO! I won't risk it! "
" Kaliya it's okay. You won't hurt me. " Hanabi spoke soothingly as Kaliya turned to face her.
" Hanabi please... I can't risk it... " Kaliya's voice trembled as Hanabi stepped forward and placed a hand on Kaliya's cheek gently.
" You can't hurt me Kaliya. I promise. " Hanabi kissed Kaliya gently before stepping back as Kaliya groaned nervously before speaking.
" Rinnegan! " Kaliya put her hands together with two fingers pointing toward her chin as her pupil quivered before six, Slightly jagged rings rapidly erupted from it as her pupil shrank slowly and her eyes shifted into a soft violet colour. After a moment, Kaliya's eyes glazed over and her hands erupted into black fire as she darted toward Hanabi.
" Kaliya! " Hanabi spoke forcefully as Kaliya motioned to throw a punch, Causing her to freeze and stare at Hanabi blankly. " Kaliya look at me... It's Hanabi... You can't hurt me remember? We have to take care of each other... You promised... Remember? " Hanabi smiled sweetly and her voice was calm and soothing as Tsunade and Hiashi watched Kaliya. As Hanabi smiled, Kaliya's eyes trembled slightly but remained glazed over as Hiashi spoke.
" Incredible... It is as if she is just a puppet... Could the Rinnegan be overloading her senses as well as her chakra network? " Hiashi turned to Tsunade as she spoke.
" It seems to be more than that. It's as if it takes over her completely. Naruto had a similar problem when he first used his beast chakra. I wonder... " Tsunade thought for a moment before speaking. " Hanabi keep talking to her. I think she heard you before. Try again. "
Hanabi nodded before speaking softly. " Kaliya? You can hear me right? I know you are in there. I need you focus on me. Focus on my voice. You are so strong Kaliya, I know you can get control of this. You helped me get my Jutsu right so I know you can do this. Focus on me Kaliya. You can do it... I know you can. " Hanabi gasped softly as Kaliya's eyes seemed to shimmer for a split second before glazing over as Kaliya again motioned to throw a punch. " You can't hurt me Kaliya. Focus on my voice... I need you. I need you to come back to me Kaliya... Please... " Hanabi spoke soothingly as Kaliya's eyes quivered again before she stepped back and clutched her head as she screamed loudly. As Kaliya screamed, Hanabi stepped closer and spoke soothingly.
" I am not scared Kaliya. You would never hurt me. I know that. You know that. I know that you love me with all of your heart and I know you will always take care of me. But I need you to come back to me. " Hanabi stepped forward again and cupped Kaliya's face in her hands as she spoke again. " I love and adore you Kaliya. I need you to come back to me. You are lost in there somewhere but I know you can take control. Look into my eyes Kaliya. "
Hanabi fell silent as Kaliya's eyes quivered as her gaze fixated on Hanabi's eyes. As Kaliya motioned to move, Hanabi pressed a soft kiss to her lips before stepping back and speaking. " You are so special to me Kaliya. So important to me. I need you more than you know and you need me. We are stronger together and we always will be. Together you and I can do anything. I knew it the moment I kissed you when I told you that I love you. Do you remember that? Right here in the courtyard? In my special Kimono that father bought me just for that night. Remember how it felt? "
Kaliya's eyes trembled for a moment as tears built up in them and she whispered for a moment before her eyes glazed over again. " Hanabi... "
" I am right here Kaliya. " Hanabi pulled Kaliya closer slowly until their faces were barely an inch apart as she continued speaking. " I am right here. I am not going anywhere. You promised we would be together forever. But it's my turn to promise you something. I promise that I will never let you be alone. I will never turn my back on you Kaliya. I will be with you no matter what happens. I will always love you and I will always help you through anything you struggle with. I will always keep you in my heart and will always belong to you. We are meant to be together. That's why I need you to come back to me. I need you right here with me. Please? " Hanabi smiled sweetly before Kaliya pulled away from her and fell to her knees as sheheld her head before groaning loudly and falling backwards with a loud thud as her eyes closed. As Kaliya hit the ground, Hanabi rushed forward and sat at her side.
" Kaliya? Kaliya wake up... Please wake up... " Hanabi bit her lip nervously but sighed in relief as Kaliya slowly opened her eyes and sat up. As she looked at Hanabi, Kaliya spoke softly as Hanabi gasped.
" My head hurts... What happened... " Kaliya sighed exhaustively as Hanabi cupped her face in her hands and smiled.
" You did it Kaliya! " Hanabi ran inside the house and got a small mirror from her room before running back to Kaliya and handing it to her. " Look! "
As Kaliya looked, She gasped loudly at what she saw. Her Rinnegan was reflected in the glass of the mirror and was different than usual. The six rings were now completely smooth and her eyes were now a slightly darker violet colour. Even though her head was hurting, Kaliya had no urge to fight and felt in complete control.
" I... I'm in control... Hanabi... I'm in control... " Kaliya cried softly as she pulled Hanabi close and held her tightly. " I could hear you. It was so soft but I could hear you... I love you so much Hanabi. I could never hurt you. I would never hurt you... "
Hanabi held Kaliya for a moment before moving backward slightly. " I love you more than you know Kaliya and I know you will never hurt me. That's why I wasn't scared. That's why I knew you would come back to me. And you did. You fought it and took control. "
" I had to... I just... " Kaliya bit her lip as tears built up in her eyes again. " I can never put you in danger Hanabi. I can't... I promised. I promised... " Kaliya moved forward and nuzzled against Hanabi as she held Kaliya gently.
" How very interesting... " Hiashi spoke softly as he stood and turned to Tsunade. " She overcame it out of sheer will. Incredible. "
" Incredible indeed Hiashi. Kaliya is completely on par with Akiya in terms of skill. Now with her Rinnegan in control, I would expect her to match Akiya in power as well. They are both going to be incredibly strong Shinobi. We will need to watch them closely... And carefully. " Tsunade turned to look toward Kaliya as Hiashi spoke.
" That shouldn't be much challenge considering Kaliya has become a Hyuga clan member and Akiya is with Miss Haruno almost every moment of the day and night. It should be of little difficulty to watch them. " Hiashi chuckled as Tsunade smiled.
" Yes it would seem so. Still, Be watchful Hiashi. Kaliya might be in control but like Akiya, We have no idea how powerful she truly is. If she has any issues controlling her Rinnegan or becomes a problem, Come to me at once. " Tsunade turned to leave as Hiashi smiled.
" I won't need to. Kaliya is family. We look out for our own. With respect Hokage, Hanabi, Hinata and I are more than capable of handling it internally. That being said if I truly need to, I will come to you for help. " Hiashi smiled as Tsunade chuckled before leaving as Hiashi turned back to watch Hanabi and Kaliya as Hanabi soothed Kaliya for a few minutes before taking Kaliya inside to rest.
The Next Day
Kaliya and Hanabi were sitting in Ichiraku Ramen after training all morning. As they ate, Hinata sat down with someone Kaliya hadn't seen before.
" Hey Kaliya. Hey Hanabi. " Hinata smiled before introducing the boy with her. " Kaliya this is Neji. He is a member of the Hyuga branch family. "
" Nice to meet you Neji. " Kaliya smiled warmly as Neji turned to face her.
" Hello. " Neji had a disinterested look on his face before sighing and getting up. As he left, Kaliya noticed what appeared to be a small line at the edge of Neji's headband. After he left, Kaliya turned to Hinata.
" Hinata... What is that line under Neji's headband? " Kaliya had a look of curiosity on her face as Hinata sighed.
" That is a Cursed Seal. The branch family members all have one. It is so that the main family have total control over branch members. They can be used to cause incredible amounts of pain or even kill. " Hinata had a look of sadness on her face as Kaliya spoke.
" That's... Barbaric... Why would anyone be willing to accept this?! Wait a minute... You and Hanabi aren't going to be given this are you? " Kaliya looked toward Hanabi as a sad look settled over her face.
" I... I don't know. My uncle was given one when my father was chosen as the head of the clan. I honestly don't know if either of us will be given one when they decide which of us will be the heiress. " Hinata sighed softly as Kaliya spoke.
" How can you be okay with this?! It's wrong! " Kaliya had a stern look on her face as Hinata spoke.
" It protects our clan. " Hinata spoke calmly but had an air of disbelief in her voice.
" No it doesn't! It just lets you control others! It's barbaric! If it truly protected the clan then why would it be used to cause pain? " Kaliya spoke sternly as she stood and left, Before walking toward the Hyuga estate.
After a few moments, Hanabi stood and ran to catch up with Kaliya. As she turned the corner to get to the Hyuga estate, Hanabi saw Kaliya speaking to Hiashi at the front entrance. As she approached, Hanabi heard Hiashi speaking calmly.
" I understand this is discomforting to learn but changing it is not as simple as it sounds. " Hiashi tried to remain calm but could feel the frustration and anger seething from Kaliya as she spoke.
" That's ridiculous! If the mark was truly just to protect the Byakugan then why would you need it to cause pain?! I don't understand how you can be okay with this! " Kaliya spoke firmly and crossed her arms as Hiashi spoke.
" I am not. Do you honestly think I want to brand one of my daughters when an heiress is chosen? Do you really think I enjoy using the cursed seal? I use it out of necessity. Not because I like it. " Hiashi sighed softly before continuing. " I know what you are about to say Kaliya. That you will not allow Hanabi to receive the seal. That you will fight even me to protect her. "
" Your damn right I will. No one puts that mark on Hanabi. " Kaliya spoke with ferocity as her eyes shifted into her Rinnegan for the first time since she learned to control it fully. " I will fight the entire village if I have to. I vowed to take care of her. How is allowing this taking care of her? "
" I am glad you take your vow seriously. You are right. The cursed mark is... Honestly I don't know what it is anymore. It was created to protect the Byakugan but we use it to keep the branch family in line. What do you suggest we do about it Kaliya? " Hiashi spoke calmly as if expecting Kaliya to speak words of wisdom.
" Change it. Make the mark only serve it's original purpose. To remove the Byakugan upon the death of the person who is branded just like you said. And if it truly is to protect the Byakugan then why do only the branch members receive it? What happens if you or Hinata or Hanabi are captured? What will protect your Byakugan? I don't want Hanabi having that mark if it causes her pain. But if all it does is remove the Byakugan and nothing else than I would be okay with her receiving it, If she chooses to have it. But it should not be used as a means of control or causing pain. That is barbaric and tyrannical. " Kaliya spoke sternly and stared Hiashi down as he looked into her eyes.
" I... Cannot disagree with the reasoning you have given. I will think on this for a time. You have my word that what you have said will be considered. " Hiashi smiled before tousling Kaliya's hair gently and walking back inside the house as Hanabi spoke softly.
" Kaliya? " Hanabi bit her lip as Kaliya's gaze turned to her but Hanabi sighed in relief as Kaliya smiled warmly and walked toward her before hugging her tightly.
" Somehow I knew you were going to follow me. " Kaliya held Hanabi for a moment before stepping back as her eyes returned to normal.
" Is... Is everything okay? You were arguing with father... " Hanabi had a nervous look on her face as Kaliya spoke.
" Oh... No... I wasn't arguing. I was just expressing my displeasure with how the Cursed Seal works and suggesting it change to better suit it's original purpose. Don't worry. Everything is alright. " Kaliya smiled as Hanabi sighed in relief. As Hanabi was about to speak, Hiashi stepped outside.
" Ah... Hanabi. Would you be so kind to go and find Hinata and have her meet me at the Hokage's building please. I need you there as well. There is something we need to discuss with the Hokage. " Hiashi spoke calmly before walking toward the Hokage's building as Hanabi kissed Kaliya gently before running off to find Hinata. After Hanabi left, Kaliya walked to the training arena. As she arrived, She saw Akiya sparring with Naruto, Who was using Shadow Clone Jutsu to try and distract Akiya. As Kaliya sat down, Akiya dipped her arm into her shadow before whipping it in a line. As the majority of the clones dodged, Kaliya noticed two behind Akiya performing some kind of Jutsu that appeared to be a ball. After the ball formed, Naruto ran forward and threw his arm toward Akiya as he spoke.
" Rasengan! " Naruto pushed the ball toward Akiya. As it was about to hit her, Akiya spun and threw her arm forward so that a ball of black chakra formed in her hand and collided with Naruto's Rasengan. As waves of Chakra filled the air around them, Naruto and Akiya were thrown back as Akiya's chakra ball and Naruto's Rasengan combined and exploded with a resounding bang that echoed through the village. As the dust settled, Akiya stood and fixed her hair as Naruto groaned and stood as he spoke.
" I don't get it. How does your normal chakra ball stop my Rasengan? " Naruto spoke with disappointment as Akiya giggled softly.
" Because my black ball and your Rasengan are the same thing. It isn't like you are using special chakra for Rasengan. To counter your Rasengan, I use my own. Rasengan was a part of my training even as a child. " Akiya grinned playfully as Naruto huffed and walked to the edge of the arena as Kaliya stood and walked over.
" You aren't too tired to spar with me are you sister? " Kaliya spoke teasingly as Akiya turned to face her with a devilish grin on her face.
" You wish. But you might wanna stretch first sis. I wouldn't want you to overexert yourself. " Akiya giggled playfully as Kaliya smirked and started stretching.
" Smartass. You should stretch too. " Kaliya smiled as Akiya nodded and began stretching as Naruto stood and ran out of the arena quickly. After a few minutes, Naruto returned with a large group of Shinobi. Among the group were Sakura, Hanabi, Hinata, Neji, Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Kakashi, Tsunade, Hiashi, Kamura and many of the village Jonin. As they sat or stood around the edge of the arena, Hanabi called out to Kaliya.
As Kaliya ran over to her and smiled, Hanabi spoke softly. " Please be careful Kaliya. I don't want you to get hurt. "
" One thing about Akiya, She will never hurt me. Even when I left our village... When I stabbed her... She still didn't hurt me. She isn't like that. You have nothing to worry about Hanabi. " Kaliya smiled sweetly before kissing Hanabi gently as Akiya called out to her.
" Are you ready sis? Want some more time with Hanabi before we start? " Akiya smiled before kissing Sakura's cheek before Sakura walked to the edge of the arena to watch as Kaliya turned back to Hanabi.
" It's okay. I'll be right here Kaliya. Go spar. " Hanabi smiled brightly and kissed Kaliya once more before Kaliya walked to the middle of the arena.
" Let's have you then baby sis. Rinnegan! " Kaliya spoke firmly as her eyes shifted into her Rinnegan.
" Going all out then? Hope you haven't lost your touch big sis. " Akiya smiled as her eyes changed into two different colours and blue flames began swirling around her.
" You wish. Art Of The Sh... " Kaliya gasped and dodged quickly as a ball of chakra flew toward her.
" Think quick sis! " Akiya grinned as she dipped her arm into her shadow before whipping it toward Kaliya. As Kaliya dodged again, Akiya spoke as she made a series of hand signs. " Art Of The Shadow Soul: Shadow Strike! " Akiya slammed the palms of her hands into the ground, Causing her shadow to tremble before it exploded toward Kaliya while forming into a large spike. As it got closer, Kaliya spoke firmly.
" Art Of The Shadow Soul: Dark Marble! " Kaliya made a quick series of hand signs before clapping loudly, Causing her chakra to rapidly form a massive ball in front of her. As the spike slammed into it, It pierced through it but stopped a mere few inches from Kaliya's face. After a moment, The ball and spike vanished as Akiya spoke.
" Let's see how you handle one of my newer Jutsu. Art Of The Dark Heart: Abyssal Dragon! " After a series of hands signs, Akiya made several fluidic movements as her shadow rose from the ground and formed into a massive, Serpent shaped Dragon. As Akiya grinned, She gasped as she saw Kaliya making similar hand signs.
" Art Of The Light Soul: Angelic Wrath! " Kaliya's body seemed to glow as her shadow turned to a bright light and formed a human looking shape with large wings, Holding a massive sword as Akiya spoke enthusiastically.
" I KNEW IT! You did learn Light Soul Jutsu! " Akiya squealed happily as Kaliya smirked.
" That too. " Kaliya winked before making a second series of hand signs as Akiya realised what she was doing. " Art Of The Dark Heart: Abyssal Dragon! "
" When did you learn Dark Heart Jutsu... Wait... What are you..." Akiya looked stunned for a moment as Kaliya smiled.
" Give it a minute. It'll sink in. " As she smirked playfully, Kaliya spoke again as she made a third series of hand signs that Akiya did not recognise. " Ryoko Hiden Art: Immaculate Fusion! " Kaliya's eyes glowed brightly as the black dragon and large angel faced one another before disintegrating and forming into a swirling ball. After a moment, The ball trembled before forming into a massive creature that Akiya had never seen before. The creature was fifty feet tall and had massive horns with spikes all over it's body. As it's eyes opened, Two massive angelic wings unfurled from it's upper back as it roared loudly before black flames began seething from it's body. As Kaliya smiled, Akiya spoke softly.
" You... You know our Hiden Jutsu... I was never taught this... " Akiya stepped back nervously before Kaliya spoke calmly.
" You were never given the chance to learn. When... When I stabbed you... While our village was burning... I... I stole all the scrolls and books of our family Jutsu and left before they got damaged. I have been secretly learning them ever since. " Kaliya spoke softly but had a look of sadness on her face as she continued. " There is much that I am ashamed of. "
" Kaliya... " Akiya's eyes changed back to normal as she walked to Kaliya and hugged her tightly. " You are amazing in so many ways sister. The past doesn't matter anymore. We are here together now. That is all that matters. "
" I still can't understand how you forgive me so easily sis... Shall we continue? " Kaliya smiled as the massive creature faded before Akiya walked back to where she was before facing Kaliya.
" I have a different idea. " Akiya smiled before taking the Nightscythe off of her Obi and activating it. As the blades extended from the shaft of the handle, Kaliya smiled and took the hilts of her Katana's off of her Obi.
" This is about to get interesting... " Kaliya grinned as her blades extended out of the hilts and she rushed toward Akiya.
After a show of power and the truth of the Ryoko Jutsu revealed, Does this mark a new step toward the future, Or more shadows of the past?
