Records recovered from the wreckage on a rogue planet within the Serpent nebula known formerly as "The Citadel"

We thought that the race of naked apes on the third planet around Sol was nothing more than primitives that could only throw rocks.

We were wrong.

We watched, using drones and nanomachines, through their entire history. We see nothing more than rocks being thrown. For a piece of roasted meat in the forests of Congo. For a piece of land of which food can be grown on the plains of Mesopotamia. Then for questions about their concepts of the hierarchies of divinity. First in Egypt, then Israel, then in Europe and middle east. Then for concepts like which social structure was correct, then ideas like what they should eat and shouldn't, et cetera. We thought that this should make it unlikely for them to ever become spacefaring, thus of little concern for our purpose. Nevertheless, we built a Mass Relay at the edge of their solar system, and left a cache of Element Zero on the fourth planet of their solar system, so that in case they became spacefaring, they will too fall into our trap.

We were wrong.

Their appendages are naturally suited for throwing rocks, they have thrown rocks against each other and that must be how they evolved to be an anomaly among their own biosphere in the first place. They have thrown bigger rocks. Faster rocks. Rocks that had explosives packed within it as their culture evolved. At each other. Machines. Mathematics. Technology. Metallurgy. The mastery over heat and gasses. All of which ultimately driven by the need to throw bigger rocks faster toward each other. They recently have started to throw smaller rocks at each other. Rocks that are about the same size as their own cells, then 100 times smaller. Then 4000 times smaller. Rocks that are born by microbes native to their biosphere yet modified, but ultimately the same kinds of rocks they throw at each other since the dawn of their species. They nearly wiped out their own species throwing rocks so small at each other, yet what remained have never ceased to do exactly the same toward each other.

They recently launched their first spaceships, propelled by the same apparatus they used to throw rocks at each other and propel themselves by throwing rocks toward the opposite direction they arr accelerating toward. We were glad that we have set our trap beforehand that they have became spacefaring at last. They continue to throw rocks at each other even in their spaceships as they squabbled over every bit and piece of resources and planetary bodies to live on. They arrived at the fourth rock in their solar system, just as expected. They uncovered the cache of Element Zero we planted on their planet, just as expected. They activated the Mass Relay we built on the outer skirt of their solar system, just as expected. We thought that we have knew everything about their race back when they were still apes in the forests of Congo.

We were wrong. We should have been concerned.

As they rode the rocks they threw through the Mass Relay to the solar systems within our network they threw bigger and bigger rocks at each other. Faster and faster as they used Element Zero to further enhance their devices of which they use to throw rocks at each other. Devices they used to throw rocks in the opposite direction of their acceleration as well, in order to propel their spaceships further using less rocks per unit of impulse generated.

We have expected all of this when we all should have been concerned.

They encountered the rest of the Galaxy. Other species swarmed to attack them using weaponry and spaceships whose technology were bestowed to them by us. Our hitman have worked. Their colonies were attacked mercilessly. We expected a swift ceasefire. We expect that they will just be another insignificant species to be harvested harmlessly in this cycle.

We were wrong.

Instead of a swift ceasefire after a hopeless war with technology we have bestowed them, multiple asteroids started to move, leaving the orbits around the colony world, accelerated, rocks flying away opposite of their direction of acceleration as they rammed straight into the hitman's ships. Their shields did nothing as the masses tore through their hull armor like a rock through water. We did nothing as we thought that this was just a desperate attempt.

We were wrong.

It's only after one of the rocks start to move toward the Mass Relay, attempting to use it for a warp straight toward the Citadel, did we reacted. We organized, secretly, through devices installed on the Citadel itself, to cause the Asari republics to produce a unilateral ceasefire with them. The plan worked. And the Humans have officially fell into the Citadel trap.

We should have concerned.

The plan goes smoothly. We waited patiently. We waited until the Humans have seemingly integrated to the galactic society of this cycle. Then we came. Using proxy of course. We have expected resistance. And it did so. More asteroids coming toward our fleets and capital ships. We shot these rocks down effortlessly. Through the use of Geth vessels. Then using our sentinel within the Galaxy. Nazara. We sent to their leader, someone with the name that were derived from an ancient occupation of leading herd animals on their biosphere, a message signaling their defeat.

"We are the pinnacle of all evolution in this galaxy. You does not understand. We are the manifestation of balance of this universe. You does not understand. We are the sole enforcers of this paradigm. Only we understand. All species within this universe pursue balance. A state without a difference between hot and cold. A balance of which nothing could happen. A balance of which is nonconducting for life itself. Life itself is to be preserved, of which is exactly why your race and every other sentient life have to be culled. Understand this. Your technology is created by us, your weapons are based on blueprints provided by us. Cease your futile attempt of resistance and die as all other species that risen to sentience did and what's supposed to for a species that have contracted the disease of sentience. You can not turn our own technology of we send to you as a mean to trap you. You are a species of disunity that can only throw rocks-And you can't throw a rock big enough to disrupt out enforcement of the dogma of this paradigm. We deign to interact with your galaxy only at the heart of your Galactic civilization. Citadel. Serpent Nebula, where you could meet us if you wish to understand more of the dogma of this paradigm."

We communicated this message to them using the tone of the leaders of their hierarchy of divinity, we thought that this should properly command them.

We expect no response as we continue harvesting their species. Perhaps a few hastily cobbled warships like all other species we harvested before had. They idolized their species. Not really a problem since all the technology were ours.

Instead, they started to set up more of their devices that are used to throw rocks and rid said rocks away from their population centers. Their motions erratic at first, then coordinated as they scrambled away from the Citadel and evacuated the Earth. We confirmed that this is the natural reaction of a sentient species toward our harvest when we should have all been concerned.

We have all missed a critical, fundamental law of out universe: for every action upon an object, there is an equal and opposite reaction produced by said object toward the source of the action. It have been concluded, that, as they rid the rocks thrown out from their doomed Biosphere, said rocks have also transferred momentum back to the planet, initially insignificant, but rocks add up. We watched in horror as their planet left it's orbit, rocks trailing behind. We watched in horror as the devastated biosphere heading toward the Mass Relay within their solar system-Which we can't just turn off or move since they can not be moved once built, nor deactivated in time as it takes thousands of years to do so safely. We watched in horror as the planet, with thousands of trails of small rocks, emerged from the Mass Relay within the serpent nebula.

We are doomed. The momentum carried by the planet is enough to crack open and destroy everything that is known to the limit of physics. Citadel included. We tried to shoot down their planet, yet something that is as big as a planet is not something that can simply be deflected. We tried to move the Citadel, but their rocks were everywhere making FTL escape impossible.

We watched in horror as the arms of the Citadel making contact with the frozen surface of the planet, the strong-interaction material cracked and shattered as the ASTRONOMICAL forces acting upon them broke it like a diamond hit by an iron hammer, the Kinetic Barriers not even activating since it's simply not designed to block objects moving so slowly. And soon- We couldn't Concern or Horror anymore.

Electromagnetic transmission recorded from source beyond Widow relay #3:

"We have our own dogma and don't want yours. Humanity, United, think this should be a big enough rock."
