It was like every other day at the home of the twelve dancing princesses, lively, and very loud. The girls have just returned from a long day of fun and shenanigans. Just that day, they've received brand new ballet shoes from Derek, the royal cobbler. The princesses' huge bedroom was just as lively as the rest of the castle. Genevieve, the middle sister, was sitting on her bed, taking a closer look at her new, sparkly pink shoes
"Genevieve" said Edeline, the 5th sister, "Is it the shoes you like? "Or the cobbler who made them?" said Fallon, the 6th sister.
This took the 16 year old by surprise. She knew her sisters were observant, but she certainly didn't have a crush on Derek. "What are you talking about?" she replied. "Oh don't lie, I know you are head over heels for Derek!" excitedly observed Fallon. The 17 year old 6th sister is a hopeless romantic. She absolutely loves love and happy endings.
She could also sense when someone is lying.
And she, could see straight through her younger sister.
"She's right" said Courtney, the 3rd sister, looking from her book. "It's obvious." "No, it really isn't." Genevieve insisted. "Then how come you….." Hadley, the 8th sister started. "Blushed when you got your shoes?" Hadley's twin sister Isla finished. "Huh?" the twins said simultaneously.
Hadley and Isla are inseparable twins. They're so close that they tend to finish each other's sentences. At this point, all of Genevieve's sisters knew and she was just denying it.
"You guys are crazy, Derek and I are just friends, nothing more, nothing less." 'Stop lying to yourself" Fallon said mischievously. "Everyone knows it." "But. "Genevieve rebutted. "Are you really this oblivious? " Blair questioned. The 2nd oldest sister was scrubbing the mud and dirt off the bottom of her riding boots from a day full of riding beautiful horses.
Genevieve gasped. She never realized how observant her sisters were. Yeah, she thought that the cobbler boy was kind of cute, but she certainly didn't like them as a friend. "Are we wrong to say that you have feelings for Derek?" questioned Ashlyn. "Of course not" Genevieve stammered. 'Lier" Fallon objected smugly.
If you don't have a crush on Derek, than why do you blush every time you see him? "W-W-Well I" "How come you get all shy whenever you talk to him? "How come you can barely get a sentence without stammering and getting all nervous?" Blair added. At this point, the girls were crowded around her bed, waiting for the moment that she'll finally tell them of her crush.
"Because I-I" Genevieve started. "Don't deny it" Ashlyn stated. "Big sisters see all" Blair added giving Ashlyn a high five" She could barely get a full sentence out because of her sisters nosiness. "OK FINE!" Genevieve said tiredly. "I.. guess I have a crush on Derek"
"I KNEW IT' Fallon said excitedly. "THE LOVE GENIUS LIVES!"
Even though this was a surprise to no one, the 11 sisters were already thinking of plans on how to get their middle sister to somehow tell her feelings to Derek.
And they have a lot of work to do.
