Hey everybody!
This coming spring break marks a momentous occasion for my stories! I am doing what I like to call the adding on event! I'm going through all my unfinished stories and adding on to them to finish some loose ends up! I'm so excited to see how far I've come from the first time I did these stories to now that I am older and more experienced! So enjoy your new chapter after so long!
Meeting The Rival
We now see our two companions, Garnet and Topaz, walking through Oldale as they gather up some ingredients and supplies for their journey. The two girls had just defeated the Team Rocket members of Billy and Kidd, both of whom vowed vengeance the next time they saw each other. Now we see them on their next destination to Petalburg City...
"Ugh...this is the worse! Maybe we should've waited for the storm to pass before leaving Oldale."
"Let's just find a cave to rest in to wait till the storm passes, then we can continue on our way."
Topaz held an umbrella over their heads as Garnet looked around for a cave or an overhead to hide underneath. A large storm had blew over them as soon as they left the town. Pichu held on tightly to Garnet's shoulder, not wanting to be blown away. Topaz held Blaze in her arms for warmth, the Torchic hiding under her jacket. Flashes of lightning startled the two, making them pick up the pace. Torrential rain flowed down like water buckets now as the winds howled around them.
"Is Rayquaza mad at us or something?" Garnet shouted, seeing the umbrella about to fold over.
Topaz squinted her eyes as she saw an opening for a cave up ahead. "I see one! Let's hide out there!"
The two of them sprinted towards the cave as a loud roar was heard in the sky. Suddenly, their face were filled with horror as a large, snake-like, green dragon emerged from the gray skies above. Its yellow eyes saw the two watching it before diving down towards them. The two girls screamed, getting a running start to make it to the cave. Before Rayquaza could reach them, the girl's bodies were surrounded by a blue glow as they shot towards the cave. They fell to the floor, a large stone rolling in front of the cave's entrance.
"What the heck was that all about?" Garnet took a deep breath, letting out Mudkip to help Pichu out.
"I'm so exhausted..." Topaz sighed as she leaned against Puffy, who had puffed herself up to be a pillow to support her. Blaze and Silky were on her shoulders, concerned about the shy girl.
"Glad to see you guys make it alright. I made sure to grab your partners too." A female voice piped out from the shadows.
Both girls jumped as a female their age came out of the shadows. She had long, dark purple hair that went down her back and deep blue eyes. Her attire consisted of a long black leather jacket, dark purple dress, and black thigh boots. Around her neck was a rainbow colored stone. Standing next to her was a bipedal, feline Pokémon. Its fur is a pale gray with white tips on its ears and white paws. There are tousled tufts of fur on its head, cheeks, shoulders, chest, and hips. It has wide, pale purple eyes with darker purple pupils, a tiny nose, and a small mouth. When its mouth is open, two pointed teeth can be seen on its upper jaw. Its tail is fluffy and slightly curled.
"Nice to see other trainers out here braving this storm. I'm Amethyst, and this is my buddy Espurr. He was the one who helped you out." She informed the two, smiling softly. "We saw what was chasing you two and thought we would help out."
"Thank you so much!" Garnet said, walking over to the strange girl. "Saved our butts back there, we couldn't even fight against that Pokemon!" Curiously, she looked down at Espurr as he looked back at her. "Where's that Pokemon from?"
Topaz pulled out her pokedex and pointed it towards Espurr. Espurr: The Restraint Pokemon. It has enough psychic energy to blast everything within 300 feet of itself, but it has no control over its power. "It's so cute!"
Espurr smiled as he rubbed his head against Topaz's leg while purring. This caused Blaze to become slightly jealous and spew Ember at him, making the poor Pokemon run back to Amethyst.
"How about we have a quick battle? Your Espurr might look cute, but is he battle ready?" Garnet challenged, Pichu and Mudkip getting some fire in their eyes.
Amethyst smirked, hearing the pounding rain outside the cave. "I traveled from Kalos to participate in the Hoenn region's gym challenge." Closing her eyes, she took a deep sigh. "I guess I have no choice but to accept your challenge."
Topaz stood off the side on a couple of rocks along with Puffy on her side, Blaze in her arms, and Silky on her head. Standing off on the right was Garnet with her Pichu ready for combat. Off towards the right was Amethyst who was standing next to her Espurr. The two of them had sparks of lightning coming from their eyes and Topaz just chuckled at this.
"The battle between Pokemon Trainer Garnet and Pokemon Trainer Amethyst is about begin! Are both trainers ready?" Topaz asked, knowing what the two would say.
"Bring it on!" "Pika!"
"I am ready for a great battle." "Purr!"
Topaz held her hand up. "Then get ready for a battle..." She slammed her hand down on a rock. "NOW!"
