Bella's pov:
"Bonnie tell me why I'm let you and Elena convince me to do this again" Bella sighs down the phone to one of her best friends
She hears giggling on the other end and she knows that they're not going to let her turn back from this now "because you love us bells, why else .plus we both know this is a first in a long time so just enjoy it, you deserve to be happy again"
Bella sighs again "you haven't even told me who I'm supposed to be meeting or what my supposed date looks like"
She received more giggling down the line for that comment "trust me bell you'll know him when you see him "
"Ugh whatever you know I hate it when you do that cryptic stuff with me." Bella said stirring her drink with the straw and watching as carbon bubbles floated up her drink that the overly attentive waiter had brought over for her before her call had started.
"I know but please Bella just trust me on this and give this guy a chance, for once just enjoy yourself" bonnie begged her completely serious now, her earlier giggles gone for now.
"Ok bon ill try," Bella said bringing her hand to her temple trying to soothe the headache that was building as she hung up no longer wanting to talk.
She would give it a try just to placate them and when it didn't work out well at least bonnie would know that she tried and hopefully wouldn't try to interfere with her love life anymore she sighed at that thought knowing that was never going to happen.
She looked around the grill trying to spot anyone that she didn't recognize looking for her date, maybe he wouldn't turn up and that would mean she could just go home and take a nice long bath and forget about everything.
Yeah, I'm not that lucky she thought to herself miserably.
Klaus's pov:
Klaus had spotted her the moment she had walked in, how could he not she was breathtaking her long brown hair that fell in perfect waves down to her waist with the smallest hints of blond and red in it , her gorgeous doe-like brown eyes that were so expressive, her gorgeous curves and the way that the outfit that she wore clung to those curves like a second skin, even the way she walked into the grill was like a model on a high fashion runway it was no surprise that every eye had turned to look at her as she walked in not that she seemed to notice the stares she was getting and not just from the men even women were turning to look at her with lust in their eyes.
She was intoxicating.
He listened to her phone call from his seat at the bar and realized that she was here for a date and a blind date at that, well who was he to disappoint she obviously didn't know anything about the person she was supposed to meet and that gave him the perfect opportunity to go and get himself a moment with this stunning creature.
He downed his drink, got up from the bar and walked up to her table just as she was finishing her phone call.
For once Klaus was thankful that he was such a curious person because if he had not decided to follow the lead on the doppelganger he would not have come across this amazing woman.
Bella's pov:
"You must be Bella?" Bella jumped when she heard a voice behind her ask in a mouthwatering British accent.
She turned around and was shocked, to say the least, she had no clue why this god looking man was talking to her, he is stunning she thought to herself blushing a little as she found it hard to meet his gorgeous blue eyes as he smirked at he instantly making her blush more.
Calm yourself, Bella, she thought to herself.
She nodded at him unsure if she could trust her voice at the moment, this man was doing things to her that even he could never do just with that smirk.
"I'm Niklaus" he said looking her up and down when she stood up to shake his hand , did he just check her out she literally screamed to herself . his hand was warm in hers and when she touched it she felt a slight shock that went straight through her and she shivered a little bit at the feeling.
"Nice to meet you, Niklaus but you love can call me Nik " she said shaking his hand and looking into his trance-inducing blue eyes before looking down again and blushing again.
Get it together swan.
"Shall we?" he said as he took his hand back from hers looking as reluctant to let go off she was to let go of his and he gestured to the tabled she had been sitting at .she nodded once again and went to sit back down only to be helped back into her seat by the man she was now captivated by and she almost swooned at the gesture, oh my god I'm such a girl she thought to herself all he did was something nice for you and your acting like an idiot come on Bella get it together
Niklaus or Nik sat down across from her and smirked
"So do you come here often?" she asked her voice nowhere near as confident as she wished it to be.
He laughed a deep laugh that made Bella want nothing more than to hear it again "No, not much I'm kind of new to town you could say" he said looking at her still smirking and she tried not to swoon again.
"Oh really, so your not from around here then?" you would have remembered a man like him Bella come on he's not exactly hard to miss and that means he probably doesn't live in mystic falls.
"I guess you could say I'm a little bit from everywhere or at least that what it seems like sometimes but mystic falls has something about it that just feels like home" great another cryptic but he didn't sound like he was lying so she wasn't going to push him on what he meant by that and he was still grinning at her so she didn't think she could even if she wanted to
"I know what you mean in fact new to town myself but mystic falls kind of grows on you that way" she said to him thankful she was finally starting to calm down and the conversation was flowing easier.
"Yeah, it seems it does, so tell me about yourself, Bella?" he said with a flicker of amusement in his deep blue eyes, can you drown just by looking at the color of someone's eyes because Bella sure felt like she could right about now. When did I become such a hopeless sap .ughh, wait ago Bella your gonna scare off the handsome guy? Agin.
Maybe I really am hopeless at this dating thing.
"there's not much to tell honestly, "I said moving a strand of hair behind my ear to keep it out of my face and Klaus's eyes seemed to follow the movement "I'm pretty boring, I don't really have any hobbies other than reading and cooking" Bella sheepishly admitted to the god of a man sat across from her.
He grinned at her as if he could sense her Nervousness at what he would think of her boring hobbies "there's nothing wrong with loving a good book, love. believe me, you should see the amount that I have managed to collect over the years" his velvety voice washed over her in a way she had never felt before as he said this his intense gaze on her feeling way better than Bella cared to admit he leaned forward and grabbed her wrist slowly sliding his fingertips down her wrist over her scar all the way down to her hand linking their fingers together in a way so sensual .a strange kind of feeling crept up Bella a feeling that even Edward and Jacob have never made her feel before. lust. a whole lot of pure, strong and fiery lust for this man sat before her.
"and I don't think your anywhere near as boring as you seem to think Bella" that smoldering blue gaze was too much it made her body light up, she didn't know how but the sexual tension between them felt so thick after that comment that Bella doubted you would have been able to cut it with a knife, it felt like thousands of tiny volts of static was running through the air between them and she knew that she would never feel this way with anyone else.
Her brain tried to come up with something intelligent to say but the thick layer of lust she was feeling for Nik really wasn't helping her think "what are your hobbies ?" stupid 21-year-old virgin Bella scolded herself mentally. She prayed to god that Nik didn't realize the effect he was having on her, she didn't want him to think that she was doing this to sleep with him but by god she really wanted to sleep with him.
You not like that she told herself, but for him, she just might be.
"Are you alright there love?, you seem a bit flustered." god why did he have to say that, Bella felt like she could die of embarrassment and could only nod as she blushed bright red all over she was never going to live this down
"You didn't answer my question" Bella mumbled trying to get the attention off of herself before she blushed anymore than she already was and she went up in flames.
Nik chuckled "well I guess you can say I'm sort of an artist not that I've had a lot of time for art at the minute though, I like to travel and read when I have the time" he winked at her. He really isn't helping her focus.
"What kind of art?" she asked genuinely curious and also in an effort to keep the sexual tension between them down from the suffocating level it was at earlier.
"Painting mostly maybe ill show you some time love," he said and the sincerity in his eyes had me holding out hope that he genuinely would show me that part of his life and maybe others.
I look into his eyes seeing emotions pass through them that I had no clue on how how to describe or depict , how could one man feel so much.
My phone rang knocking me out of my mini staring contests with the blonde-haired man sat across from me and i looked at the caller id , bonnie? Why would she be calling me now in the middle of my blind date?
"Do you mind if I take this?" I ask Nik giving him a look that I hoped to let him know that I needed to answer but I wasn't trying to stop our date.
"No, you go-ahead love" he said and I quickly got up to the table and went to the bar to answer my blaring phone I picked up on the last ring thankful I wouldn't have to call her back as that would only make not answering worse for me in the long run and I'm sure I would never hear the end of it.
"Hey, Bonnie what's up?" I said bringing the annoying device to my ear as the call connected, hoping that none of my grumpiness from being interrupted from my date shine through in my voice.
"Bells I'm so sorry, he said that he was coming but apparently there was an accident and he said he's not going to make it" she sounded panicked and worried and it just made me more confused as to what she was talking about whats does she mean , he's not coming.
"Bon what's going on I have no idea what you're on about , whos not coming?" what is she on about , she couldn't mean Nik could she because he's here I turned back to where we were sat. or he was here?
"Your date bells he was supposed to arrive ages ago but he just rang me to tell me he couldn't make it" what the hell was she on about Nik was here and there's no way he could have rang her while we were talking to tell her he wasn't coming, my blood ran cold somethings not right.
"Bon tell me more about the guy I was meeting, "I say in a cold voice something is wrong very wrong and I can feel the hairs on my neck stand up , where did Nik go.
"Why bells what's wrong ?" she sounded more panicked , I don't have time for this. I need more info before Nik comes back.
"Bonnie, who was I supposed to be meeting?" my voice sounded shaky even to myself and i was starting to panic now if my date hadn't shown then who was Nik.
"Bell?, what you mean supposed to be meeting you? whats going on? " my blood turned to ice in my veins and i could feel the small cloud of dread rearing up my spine.
"Bonnie, what did Elijah say the name of the guy coming after elena was again?" in reality I didn't need bonnie to tell me because I already knew in my heart what I was begging not to be true.
"Bella have you seen Klaus ?" bonnie asked sounding more scared than I felt which is probably not a good thing .my mind flashed back to how Nik introduced himself as Niklaus. Oh my god, I need to leave.
"Bonnie I've got to go" I told her and only hear her faint calling out to me as I hung up the phone , letting my arm fall from where I was holding it to my ear as I scanned the area of the grill .i need to leave , now.
Not catching sight of Nik I rushed towards the door of the grill , where had he gone? I need to get out of here. I tried not to seem frightened as I tripped a few times in my rush to the outside , there was no point in causing mass panic .yet.
As the cold air of the outside hit me as the door to grill swung open at my push i felt a rush of calm run through me I was out, now I just need to get home and ill be alright as i rushed to my car the faint breeze chilled my very bones as I fumbled for the keys and that's when I heard the voice behind me
"What's the rush love, I was hoping we could get a little better acquainted before you ran off to your little group of friends but I guess not" and then I felt a sharp pain in my neck and head as my world went black.
(hello everyone I hope you've enjoyed this little burst of inspiration I had i know a lot of you want a my witch Bella update or an update from one of my other fics if you are a reader of mine. but all I can tell you is that I'm working on it due to my lack of inspo for them though its kind of slow going I am trying to write stuff and get it out to you guys though. So don't stress I'm not abandoning them I promise, I don't know whether or not this is going to turn into a full fanfic or not yet as originally I was just writing a one-shot but I guess we'll see in time whether or not you guys want me to write more to this or not. for now, though this might be my only chapter of this fic, as always I love you guys thank you for all the love and support of my fanfictions, love from mc xxxxxxxxxx)
