Anya was the mother of Eugenius and Linda. Born in August 1855, she was a member of an old money Ashkenazi Jewish dynasty in Minsk, Belarus. Known for her copper hair and vivid joy, she sacrificed her dreams to become a short time royal before marrying true love Nikolas Yannis Cassadine in Greece in 1892.

She survived the worst of times and had empathy even for Yiannis (or Yannis to some). She died a happy but frugal woman in November 1925.
