Ok, this won't be a real chapter of this story per say, but it will serve as more of an update regarding the state of this story for anyone who has followed/faved it and is still active. And in this update, there's a bit of good news and bad news to say here. First, the bad news is that after this chapter, this story is officially cancelled. However, and this is a big however, the good news is that I AM not giving up on this idea, I'm just rebooting it, and will link the remade story below. Yeah, I suppose I could just rewrite it from the beginning, but in mulling it over in my hiatus, I have realized that there are a lot of things I want to change about this story, including some formerly starring characters who I wish to either relegate to a more supporting role, replace with another I feel fits better, or even remove entirely since I feel that their purpose in the story is better served by another character later on, or in the sequels (and yes, I do have sequels planned too, though i suppose we need to make it through a fair amount of the reboot before I can really start taking those to seriously.) Plus, looking back,the long term messages of the story seem muddled as I felt I kept changing what messages I wanted to send as I went along, and thus, trying a rewrite would require to scrap substantial parts of chapters, if not removing them outright, and at that point it's likely better to just scrap it and restart from the ground up.
