The soft ticking of the clock filled the confines of Sakura's office as her shoulders dropped before pressing her back against the chair, which gave off a soft squeak. Staring absentmindedly at her somewhat empty desk, a deep sigh passed through her lips as she found herself with absolutely nothing to do.

Her paperwork for the day had been completed and properly filed, along with the backlog of paperwork she had been pushing off for weeks. On a normal day, she would be out, maneuvering through the hospital's three floors for something to do or someone to help but this wasn't just an ordinary day.

Hell, the past three months had been short of ordinary.

Ever since she had stepped into the hospital around eight, this morning, she helped as much as she was needed but once everything had settled down, she found herself wandering aimlessly around the hospital when she had spotted her raven-haired teammate. She had already known what her teammate wanted but she wasn't in the mood to answer his burning questions, So she avoided him and under the pretense that she was swamped with paperwork, that urgently needed her attention, She informed the nursing staff that would be unavailable to anyone, outside of hospital staff looking for her, so with that she had confined herself within her office and hoped to stay there until it was either time to go home or something dire came up.

A hard knock against her door, quickly pulled Sakura out of her wandering thought before she called for whomever it was, to come in. Watching as her door slowly open, she was unable to stop her lips from turning into a frown as she watched as Sasuke slowly stepped into her office, with one hand dug deep into his front pockets.

"Can I help you with something?" She bit out, already wanting to end whatever conversation he was trying to start with her.

Sasuke's gaze never faltered at her tone as she stared back at him coldly. She had secretly hoped that the cold glare, she would give Naruto on several occasion when she needed him to give her some space, would make Sasuke leave her alone but instead of retreating, he stepped further into her office.

"I know you probably can't tell but I'm busy right now."

She watched as his onyx eyes scanned over her clear desk before he looked back up and into her eyes. "You don't look busy." He quickly replied "Anyway. Naruto wanted me to stop by and see if you wanted to -"

She quickly cut him off "No thank you."

"You don't even know what I was going to ask?"

"It doesn't matter, I'm busy right now so if you don't mind."

She could see a brief hint of irritation cross Sasuke's face before he shook his head "Just because you're pissed off at him doesn't mean that you have to take it out on us." He spoke before he turned around and left out of her office, closing the door behind him.

Allowing the silence to engulf the room once again, She exhaled harshly through her nose, as she ran a hand through her messy locs, a sure sign of irritation before looking over to the that it was nearing 12 o clock, she knew that this would be the perfect time for her to slide in and grab a few more clothes without the hassle of running into him.

Opening the bottom drawer on her desk, she easily grabbed the single house key out of the drawer before closing it and pushing the chair back as she stood up. Making her way over to her window, she easily opened it and quickly slipped out the room. The journey to the apartment wasn't long at all but Sakura knew she had to stick to the alleys to keep herself from getting swallowed in by the lunch crowd that was beginning to fill up the streets.

When she had reached the doorstep to their once shared apartment, she quickly stuck the key into the lock and with a flick of her wrist, the lock gave way allowing her entry. Placing her hand on the door, she pushed it open and stepped quietness greeted her as she quickly removed her shoes and closed the door behind her, before easily stepped further inside. As her emerald eyes slowly scanned her surroundings she quickly noticed that it looked nothing like she had left it, even if it had been over three months ago. Closing her eyes, she could hear the sound of dishes being broken onto the wooden floor and their muffled yelling at each other before she noticed the different octane, she was now screaming at him.

Slowly opening her eyes, she mentally shook the memory out of her head, as she refused to give in to the satisfaction of revisiting those emotions she had went through that night. She easily made her way towards the back of the apartment and soon crossed the threshold into the master bedroom, She half heartily expected to see the mountain of clothes littering the bed along with the closet rod that she had yanked down, when she couldn't get her work coats down but just like the kitchen, Everything had been cleaned and put back in its original location as if nothing had happened. As she continued to look around the room, Sakura's emerald eyes landed on the small lone black box, sitting on the dresser, near the television. Even if she didn't want to, her body immediately gravitated towards it.

Don't open it

And going against that voice inside of her head, she had already scooped it off of the dresser and opened it. Staring down at the beautiful engagement ring, she could feel various emotions coursing through her brain but the one that stood out the most was guilt. Even though it was just a smidge of guilt, it still gnawed in the pits of her stomach but soon that guilt was quickly replaced with a sense of anger.

Damn him and this ring

Exhaling harshly, Sakura's gaze fell on her bare right hand. If she squinted hard enough, she could see the faint indention of where her engagement ring use to reside. Snapping the box shut, she put it back on the dresser and went back to the task at hand.

Disappearing into the closet, Sakura easily grabbed one of her old duffel bags and quickly began stuffing anything that would fit into the bag and whatever other necessities that she needed and it wasn't long when she emerged from the closet just as she heard the front door opening and then closing.

"Shit" She muttered under her breath. Her gaze immediately fell onto the two windows in the room. She wondered how easy it would be to sneak out the window, without him seeing her but that only meant that she'd end up in the street completely barefooted.

Her eyebrows scrunched together as she shook her head as she realized that she wasn't the one that needed to be sneaking around when clearly, she wasn't the one who had did anything wrong.

He was the one at fault.

Zipping up the bag, she easily slipped the strap over her head and let it rest across her body as she walked out of the bedroom. Traveling down the short hallway, soon she had stepped back into the living room/ kitchen area. Stopping dead in her tracks, her emerald eyes clashed with a pair of onyx eyes belonging to none other than Uchiha Itachi. Sakura could feel her heartache as her gaze softened as she allowed herself to roam over his figure. The first thing that she noticed was the faint traces of blackness under his eyes indicating that he was getting less sleep than he normally got. The next thing that she noticed was his slender frame. She knew Itachi use to be much fuller than this, the memory of his body had been etched into her brain after countless times of taking in his form whenever they had made love.

Time seemed to move in slow motion as they stood rooted in the same spot as they continued to stare at each other, almost as if they were afraid to lose this moment but that trance was immediately broken when he finally spoke up.

"How have you been?" She could hear him ask, his onyx eyes never leaving hers.

"Fine." She replied curtly "I'll stop by tomorrow for the rest of my things and I'll leave your key when I'm through."

"Sakura"-He took a step towards her-"you don't have to do that, this my home as much as yours." He spoke softly his gaze never faltering from hers.

Holding up her hand, she shook her head "As I said, I'll be fully out of here by tomorrow." She spoke quickly ignoring his last statement.

Adjusting the strap, she tore her gaze away from him, she headed towards the front door, easily sidestepping him only for Itachi to reach out and softly grab the upper part of her left arm.

"Sakura, can we talk?"

Refusing to even look at him, she just simply shook her head "There is nothing to talk about Itachi, I already know what you're going to say and I'm not in a mood to hear any of it."

"Please."

It wasn't hard to notice the change in Itachi's tone as he uttered that one word. She could just feel her heart-tugging at her to hear him out but she wouldn't submit. He would simply rope her back into that triangle and she'd be damned if she ever went back.

"Can you please let me go, my lunch break is over with and I need to get back." She asked

His hold on her arms remained and she'd hoped that she wouldn't have to force his hand off of her but she heard him exhale softly before she felt him finally let go of her arm. For a moment, she stood at his side before simply shaking her head before she made her way towards the entryway, quickly sliding into her shoes. She left out of the apartment and closing the door behind her. Releasing the breath that she didn't even know she was holding. Sakura bit back a soft sob as a stray tear made its way down her face only for her to quickly swipe the stray tear away before anyone noticed her crying.

"Excuse me Sakura."

Sakura's head immediately snapped up as the familiarity of the voice, sent a sudden wave of jealously and hurt into her heart as her emerald eyes locked onto the woman, who was standing at the center of everything that was going wrong in her love life right now.

Uchiha Izumi

Resisting the urge to curl her opened hand into a fist, Sakura bit down on her bottom lip, trying to keep herself from lashing out when she just paused. What was the point? Sure, Izumi was part of the problem but the other half of the problem belonged to Itachi and his clan.

Her gaze hardens "If you're looking for Itachi, He's inside." She spoke as she walked down the few steps and sidestepping her to get onto the street. Sakura could feel Izumi's eyes bore holes into her back as she retreated. While her heart was screaming at her to run away, her brain told her to continue walking with her head high because she didn't have a valid reason not to do just that. So, she straightened her back and walked like she had a purpose even if her heart was crumbling into a million pieces.

As she made her way back towards her old apartment, she couldn't shake the millions of thoughts and questions that were swirling dangerously around in her head. For all the accolades that Sakura held, she knew that being a fool wasn't one of those things.

When she and Itachi had begun this relationship of theirs, there had always been a shadow of a doubt in the back of her head that their relationship was doomed from the start. It wasn't an optimistic outlook to have when entering into a new relationship, she knew that for sure but she had seen firsthand on how the Uchiha clan threw massive interference with outsiders.

She had seen their handy work on full display when Sasuke called himself getting close to a young woman, who resided in a neighboring village and in a short span of time the relationship had gotten serious pretty wasn't one to judge because she knew between Sasuke, herself and Naruto, Sasuke was the best person to quickly determine whether someone was trustworthy or not, A trait he undoubtedly picked up from his older brother, So when the time came to introduce her to his family, She had honestly expected his father to have something to say about dating someone outside of the clan but it wasn't Fugaku that dismissed the thought. It was the Uchiha clan elders.

She easily remembered the night that they tore and tore at him and the girl until Sasuke had completely had enough and ended their two-year relationship, Sure she was pissed at Sasuke for giving up without even putting up a fight but she was even more pissed at his clan elders.

Who were they to dictate who marries who?

And after that whole ordeal, Sakura found herself determined to beat those odds so she threw herself into her training which ultimately led her to surpass the Fifth Hokage among other things but in the end, Not only had their relationship not stood the test of time but the recent revelation had her questioning whether this was something they could come back from or whether it was something she wanted to come back from.

It's not like he was ever yours, to begin with

Sakura had already known from the beginning that she would always come second to her. She knew about them, Hell everybody in the village knew about them and how she had been his first love and he was hers. She knew that the elders of his clan were persistent about keeping the next generation of Uchiha's pure and not to taint it with outsiders which meant that she was the only acceptable woman that they wanted to stand by his side, not only his partner but to be the woman to give birth to that next generation of Uchiha's.

But like her mother, Sakura was stubborn as a mule.

Like any couple who had ever been in love and had to deal with those trying to tear what they had apart. They fought. They fought like hell to try and sway the Uchiha elders that Itachi had a right to be with whomever he wanted to but nothing was enough to sway their set minds. So when word had spread that Itachi had proposed to her, She could remember Sasuke telling her that literally, all hell had broken loose within the Uchiha compound and with Itachi being sent on a mission at the last minute, she was left with all the blowback which included so many insults and derogatory terms that she wouldn't dare to repeat to anyone.

She wanted to lash out and humble them all but she knew that Itachi took pride in his clan and if somehow they miraculously accepted her, She didn't want to leave a bad impression on them so she did the next best thing she could think of and that was to take all of her frustration and anger out on Sasuke and Naruto and occasionally Kakashi, whenever he trained with them.

Two antagonizing weeks had passed when Itachi had finally stepped back within the confines of the village, after a successful extraction mission. She'd hope and prayed that the elders' actions didn't get back to Itachi and how she just took it all but she was wrong. Sasuke, in his rare and noble form, had felt that it was in his brother's best interest that he knew what had gone on while he was away. She'd hoped that Sasuke's teammate loyalty would be on the same tier as his loyalty to his older brother but Sakura was mistaken.

Sasuke's loyalty lied with his older brother, that he adored so much.

So to say that Itachi was angry could be completely described as an understatement but instead of laying it to the elders as she'd somewhat hoped he would, He had directed his displeasement towards her which resulted into them getting into an argument which then turned into a very nasty fight which resulted in Itachi storming out and ultimately into her arms.

Dropping the bag off at her old apartment, Sakura was trying to make a beeline towards the hospital and hoped she wouldn't be stopped by any more Uchiha's but Kami wasn't too keen on this being her day because she spotted Mikoto Uchiha emerging out of a tea shop and on another day she would try to avoid the woman at all cost. Sakura had no quarrel with Mikoto if anything she was one of the few rooting for the two of them. She watched as Mikoto quickly spotted her and offered her a small smile.

"Hello, Sakura."

Honestly, she wasn't sure if wanted to respond or not but she offered her a curt nod "Hello Mikoto-san"

She had hoped that the greeting would suffice her but apparently not since she stopped in front of her.

"How have you been Sakura, it's been a while since I've seen you."

"I've been good, I've just been extremely busy." She easily lied, hiding the fact that she had been intentionally avoiding them all.

An awkward silence fell between the two women and before Sakura could get an excuse out, Mikoto spoke up "Are you busy at the moment?" Mikoto asked, "I was supposed to meet a friend here for lunch but she canceled on me and I really don't want to eat alone."

A part of Sakura wanted to lie and say that she was busy but another part of her wanted to flat out tell her no but she just gave her a simple answer "I really have to get back to the hospital."

"I really want to talk to you also, I promise I'll only take fifteen minutes of your time."

She opened her mouth to decline when her stomach growled loudly, causing her cheeks to redden.

Mikoto gave her a small smile "I won't take no for an answer."

Reluctantly agreeing to her proposal, Sakura followed after Mikoto to a nearby restaurant. Stepping inside of the building, Sakura's emerald eyes scanned around the somewhat empty restaurant, only with two customers occupying a booth in the far-left corner.

"Mikoto-san," Sakura turned slightly to see a middle-aged raven-haired woman approaching them "How are you doing today?"

"I'm doing well, how are you?"

"I can't complain, please take a seat anywhere and I'll be with you shortly."

Mikoto simply nodded as she and Sakura maneuvered through the various tables and chairs before finally settling on a two-chair table in the right corner. As they both sat down, Sakura easily picked up the menu when she saw the two people, she had spotted earlier, getting up to leave.

Soon the middle age woman returned with a smile on her face "What can I get you to eat?"

"Just a cup of tea for me," Sakura spoke, ignoring the slight growl of her stomach.

"Is that all you want?" She could hear Mikoto ask only for Sakura to give her a curt nod.

"Hm, I'll take tea also with a side of salmon," Mikoto spoke as she looked up to the woman. Sakura's eyebrows suddenly scrunched together in confusion at Mikoto choice, if she wasn't mistaken, She could have sworn she remember Sasuke telling her that he couldn't to get any kind of fish for his mother's birthday since she was severely allergic to it.

The woman nodded at them before she left to retrieve their orders, the two women sat in uncomfortable silence as they patiently waited and every time, she would try to come up with something to say to her, nothing seemed to come out. After an eternity later, the woman emerged with two cups of tea and placed them in front of the women before she left their side. Sakura's eyes followed her as she walked towards the front door and with a flick of a wrist, she turned, the sign dangling on the door, from opened to close before locking the door. Her gaze then slid back to Mikoto as she watched as she picked up the piping hot cup before bringing it up to her lips.

"We have fifteen minutes." She spoke as her onyx eyes fell on her.

Swallowing hard, Sakura simply shook her head as a lone tear made its way down her face "I hate your son."

Laying down on her couch, situated in her old apartment, Sakura's emerald eyes stared completely aimlessly at her bland ceiling. It had been a few hours since she had lunch with Mikoto Uchiha and poured out everything she had been holding within for the past months.

All of her hurt, the disappointment, the depression, the anger and the betrayal.

She let go of everything on the unsuspected woman.

She had bared her soul to the woman with the hope of gaining any if not some kind of understanding of why he would've done something like that and expect her not to react the way that she did. They both knew that Sakura could've done much worse and he knew it. She could've sabotaged not only his personal life but his whole career and tarnished the glowing reputation that he, his father and his clan elders had worked so hard to obtain. She could've made his life a living hell but where would that leave her.

It would've caused her to be categorized with those types of woman, who did things out spite.

A narcissistic bitch

She knew that all of the blame would fall on her if just the partial truth came out. They would call her jealous and that she just couldn't handle that he was moving on with someone prettier than her or they would call her a homewrecker and that she'd purposely sabotaged their relationship so that she could have him all to herself and when he didn't want her, she went after him personally.

Every scenario that she could've thought of was worse than the one before. She hated that if this ever got out, the only part that anyone would ever hear was the part that the Uchiha elders wanted to put out. Not the fact that she had been only a few weeks into her pregnancy before Itachi had proposed, oblivious of her underlying condition or the fact that after their continuous harsh treatment of her, caused her miscarry, sending her into a sea of depression she didn't know existed or the fact that Itachi had scolded her for holding her tongue and not berating the old fools, who were set in their ways.

But there was one nail in the coffin, that had hurt Sakura the most and that was the fact that he had chosen Izumi to confine in with his relationship problems which ultimately led to her carrying his flesh and blood.

Just the thought of him and her together after that fight had the poor medic sick to her stomach each and every time, but she knew that she had to get past this obstacle or it would forever consume her.

Slowly sitting up on the couch, Sakura could already feel the nagging headache in the back of her head as she realized she hated dwelling on this topic but even after she had told everything, she couldn't help but to feel her heart become a little bit lighter. Slowly easing off of the couch, she stood up to her feet and stared out the single window in her living room, watching as the sun slowly began to set.

She knew that she needed to call it an early night if she planned on doing anything productive tomorrow. As she began to head back towards her bedroom, there was a soft and almost inaudible knock on her front door. Turning her head towards the door, her eyebrows furrowed as she stared at the door just as her visitor knocked again.

Sighing softly, Sakura made her way towards her front door, grabbed ahold of the handle and twisted it before she opened her door where she found Itachi on the other side. Her first instinct was to curse him out and slam the door in his face but instead, she just stood there, staring at him.

"I hope I didn't catch you at a bad time." He spoke softly, easily noticing her attire, which was a simple black tank top and black biker shorts to match.

She just shook her head

"I"-He licked his bottom lip- "I just want to talk Sakura."

Still tempted to close the door in his face, she clearly hesitated for a moment before she stepped aside, allowing him entry. Closing the door behind him, she turned and watched as he stepped further into her apartment, taking in all the cardboard boxes full of her things that she had yet to unpack before he turned around and faced her.

"Would you like a seat?" She offered as she sat back down on the couch.

"I'll stand, I won't be long."

She shrugged almost nonchalantly as she watched him before he stood a few feet in front of her. Slowly placing his hands on top of his thighs, Sakura watched as he dropped down to one knee and then to the other, He sat on the heels of his feet before he bent himself forward, allowing both of his hands to rest on her carpeted floor before lowering his head and directing his gaze to her floor.

The longer that Itachi stayed in that position, the more she felt her heart yelling at herself to make him stop.

"I'm sorry Sakura." He finally spoke raising his head, so that they could look at each other dead in the eye. "I know that I don't deserve your forgiveness after everything I've done to you.

"And I know that this apology is a little too late but I refuse to let you continue to hold onto all of this hurt especially when I never meant to hurt you."

Never meant to hurt me "You clearing wasn't thinking about hurting me when you crawled into her bed that night." She snarled as her hands curled into a fist.

"I was being stupid and strayed away from home, when I knew that I should've done that, I was just so mad that you tolerated all of their bullying antics and lost our child."

Her gaze hardened "So it's my fault that I miscarried?"

His onyx eyes widened "No, I didn't say that Sakura, I would never blame you for that."

"Are you sure because that's surely what it sounds like!"

"Sakura please, I didn't come here for a fight. I just came for your forgiveness, not for your sake but mines, that one night was a mistake, a grave mistake that I can't take back no matter how hard I wish. I just need you to forgive me." He spoke as he slowly got back up to his feet.

She shook her head "I can't do that Itachi." She cried softly "Forgiving you means that I forget the way that you hurt me in ways that I would never hurt you and you expect me to just forgive you as if it was nothing.

"I-

She stood up from the couch and stepped towards him "Get out."

"Sakura please."

"I didn't stutter, get out before I make you get out." She seethed

Seeing that Itachi wasn't making an effort to move, she stepped closer to him, fully intent on forcing him out of her apartment when his long arms shot out and wrapped themselves tightly around her waist, pulling her into his chest.

"Let me go."

"I won't, not until you hear me out"

"Itachi I said let me go before I crack your damn ribs."

"No, Sakura you've always been my splash of color in this black and white world that I've always lived in." He blurted out "In the midst of everything that complicated my life, you were the only simple thing I could hold on to when everything would spiral out of control."

"Shut up, I don't want to hear this."

"You need to know that I lov-

Raising up her right foot, she stomped on his feet hard, causing him to release his grip on her and when she had another room, her fist caught him squarely in the jaw, knocking him a few steps back and though she didn't put any chakra into that punch it still hurt like hell.

"She's always going to be your first Itachi." Tears were now flowing down her face much faster than she could even anticipate "Your first crush, Your first love, I'm pretty sure you were the one to take her virginity and she was yours and I can understand all of that because that was before you and I had even met but now she's going to be one to give you, your firstborn not me.

"I don't need to be told that you love me, you need to go to her and tell her that you love her."

"But I don't love her."

"Bullshit, even if you don't. You fake it until you fall back in love with her again and you strive to have a happy family."

"I don't want to have a family with her, I want a family with you."

"That ship has already sailed now please go back to her and stay the hell out of my life."

"Sakura"

"What part don't you understand Itachi, I don't want you in my life anymore."

"I don't believe you."

She growled out loud as she stalked towards him and grabbed his shirt, intent on forcing him out of her apartment when he wrapped his arms back around her again, trapping her within his embrace again.

She struggled within his grasp and prayed that she didn't have hurt the man, more than what she wanted to but he still couldn't get it through his thick skull.

"Please Sakura, I can't imagine living life without you in.I know I made a colossal mistake and I'll regret it for the rest of my life but Sakura please don't leave me."

She could've broken his ribs

She could've kneed him so hard that he wouldn't walk straight for a week

She could've punch him in his jaw and easily dislocated it if not broke it.

There were so many things that she could do to get him off her but instead she just stood there, allowing him to crush her into his chest with her arms lying limp at her side.

"I-His voice suddenly cracked- "I'd be a fool to let you go Sakura and if I have to beg you for forgiveness for the rest of my life, I will."

Silence fell over the room as Sakura listened to his heart, thudding loudly in his chest. She could feel the conflicting that lied in both her heart and in her mind. While her heart had heard his heart filled apology, her mind was telling her to ignore it and that there would always be a possibility of this occurring again. She was confused and didn't know what to do.

"If you need me to, I will denounce my clan and cut ties with everyone I've ever known."

Her head snapped up, just barely missing his chin, and stared into his onyx eyes.

"Why would you say something like that?" She frowned

"Because I love you Sakura, even though my past actions have said differently.

"That's stupid and you know it."

"I know and I don't care."

Staring deeply into his eyes, somehow through the façade that Itachi always kept up, Sakura just knew that he was telling the truth. He was willing to risk and give it all up, just for her. The more that she stared into his eyes, the more she found herself being slowly pulled towards, He must've felt the same pulled because he dipped his head down, closer to her and as their lips just lied centimeters apart, She hesitated for a moment before she closed her eyes and softly pressed her lips against his. As her body relaxed against his, she could feel his grip on her waist tighten as he deepened the kiss, enticing a small and muffled moan.

She knew that she would be lying if she had said she didn't miss the way his lips felt on hers or that fact that she had actually missed him and no one night stand could erase the feelings that she had for him. Snaking her arms around his neck, Sakura's body almost molded into his, as if her body was a perfect fit for his.

"Sakura" She could hear him mutter against her lips.

Opening her eyes, she stared back into his onyx eyes

"If you don't want this, just tell me to stop and I will."

That was the last question that she wanted to hear from him, she knew that this would further complicate the standing on their relationship but part of her didn't care what this night would hold because that's all it would be. One night. So, against her better judgment, she nodded at him before his lips were back on her and just like the kiss before it wasn't a lust kiss, that they had shared on multiple occasions after missing the other after a long and extensive mission but this one was different.

Feeling his arms moving south, Itachi had effortlessly lifted her up, all the while not breaking the kiss, before he led them down the short hallway and into her bedroom. As he stepped inside her private sanctuary, he slowly made his way over to the bed, where he gently laid her down. As Itachi broke the kiss, he placed one knee on either side of her body as he stared at her as he hovered above her, taking in the way that she bit her lips in anticipation of his next move and the way that the pink tint of her flushed cheeks highlighted her emerald colors eyes or the way that her nipples had hardened underneath her shirt or how she had been gripping his pants leg.

"I'm sorry" He spoke before he leaned down to claim her lips yet again.

Sakura could feel her heart and body swell as Itachi's left hand trailed down the side of her face as he ran his hand across one of her breasts and then the other one, earning a deep sigh from her. Using his other free hand, Sakura could feel the coolness of his hand dancing around her skin at the bottom of her shirt before he helped her out of it, leaving her completely naked under his gaze. He broke the kiss with her already missing his lips when he placed a kiss on her throat and down to the crevasses between her breasts. Had she not been almost lost in the moment; she would've missed him muttering I'm sorry in between those kisses before his lips found the edge of her mounds before his mouth immediately latched onto her right nipple. A deep moan passed through Sakura's lips as she pressed her legs tightly together as Itachi's experienced tongue circled around her swollen areola before his lips found her nipple, all the while his other hand caressed the other.

She squirmed at the gestures as he swapped over to the other one, mimicking his actions when a jolt of lighting shot through her as Itachi bit down softly on the tender piece of flesh and pulled back a bit just before his tongue ran across it.

"Itachi" Sakura moans got a bit louder as he continued. He had sucked and maneuvered his tongue over her nipples so skillfully that Sakura could've sworn that would could've had an orgasm right then and there if he had just kept a bit more. By this time, he had slowly began making his way down and he left a trail of kisses on both sides of her ribs, all the while still saying I'm sorry. She felt his fingers circle around her left breast before he slowly pulling his hand down her body when she felt his hands slip around the waist band of her shorts.

With one tug, her shorts had been discarded onto the cool floor, leaving her completely naked. As she peered down at him, her breath was caught in her throat as she watched as Itachi slowly placed his hands on both of her thighs and parted them, allowing his gaze to fall on her most intimate area. She could feel herself becoming even wet as his crimson eyes stared back at her. She knew that the only time Itachi would ever activate his sharingan when they made love is when he knew that he would leaving for a mission, that would last several months and he had told her long ago that he did that so he wouldn't forget how she looked when he took her. She knew that this could only mean one thing.

Just the thought of him not being in her life anymore had her on the verge of tears as she just stared at him.

"I'm so sorry Sakura." He spoke as he dipped his head and began to place butterfly kisses along the inside of her right leg, causing a loud moan to escape her lips and just before he had made it to her core, He would shift his attention to her other leg and repeat the action until Sakura felt that she couldn't take it anymore.

She knew that he wanted to taste her, to lap up her juices that flowed freely down her legs and onto her bed but she couldn't take the torture anymore but he wouldn't abide by her unspoken request. Feeling one of his long fingers trail up through her moist folds, she almost jumped out of her skin as his finger flicked over her clit before he began to rub it in a circular motion. Sakura wanted to clamp her legs and trap the welcomed finger in place but Itachi's other hand stopped her as he started back at the bottom again and worked his way back up. She could feel herself becoming wetter as he continued before he withdrew his finger before inserting a single finger. She felt the walls within her vagina tighten around his finger as he began to move his finger.

"Itachi" She meowed softly as Itachi added another finger and began to pump in and out of her at a more rapid yet taunting pace when he moved closer to her and latched his mouth on her clit and began to suck on it, Sakura's could feel her back arching as a wave of ecstasy coursed through her veins making her cry out his name.

With Itachi's skillful tongue and god like hands, it took no time for her body to tense up as the lower half of her body quivered as she came down from her heavenly bliss, hard into Itachi's waiting mouth. Taking a moment to recuperate, she could feel her chest rising and falling as she fought to catch her breath while her heart thudded loudly in her ears. After her body had recuperated, she watched as Itachi began to get up, her hand shot out towards him.

"Itachi"

His red eyes peered up at her and as they just stared at each other, she slowly eased herself into a sitting position "Don't go please."

She could see the brief amount of hesitation in his eyes as he just stared at her, reaching out for him, she grabbed his wrist and tugged him towards her "I-I want you now."

Once again, Sakura found Itachi's lips on hers as she grabbed the hem of his shirt and lifted it over his head and tossed it unceremoniously onto the floor before her hands found the waistband of his pants and before she could even get them down, Itachi's hands had clamped themselves on her wrist, promptly stopping her.

"Are you sure that this is what you want?" Itachi asked

And without an ounce of hesitation, she nodded. Letting her hands fall back down to her side, she watched as he grabbed the waist band of his pants and pulled them down, freeing his large and erect member from its confinement. Sakura didn't have long to marvel at the succulent sight when Itachi leaned forward again on the bed, forcing her back down on the mattress. Bracing his hands on either side of her, Itachi began to lower himself onto her. Claiming her lips yet again, Sakura easily hooked her arms underneath Itachi's armpits, to where her hands were resting on his shoulder as he positioned himself at her entrance. Gripping him tighter, Itachi then buried his head into the crook of her next as he painfully entered her. Cursing softly into Itachi's ear, her walls immediately clamped tightly onto Itachi's penis as she adjusted to him and then he began to move. Slowly pushing himself into her, Sakura could swear she felt every ridge and vein that lined his manhood.

"Damn it Itachi" She cried softly in his ear

"I know" He cooed in her neck "I'm so sorry."

"You broke my heart." She cried

"I know love and I'm so sorry." He then began to pick up the pace "I'm so sorry."

Digging her nails into his shoulder, Sakura's grip on Itachi's shoulder had gotten tighter as Itachi began to gradually pick up the pace.

"I'm sorry Sakura" He breathed

Six months had passed since that night between herself and Itachi. After that first round of love making, they found themselves making love again until the wee hours in the morning until their bodies couldn't take any more but instead of leaving suddenly like she expected, He stayed with her. It wasn't long until their strenuous activities had got the best of her and soon, she was drifting off to into a peaceful sleep, when she remembered him placing a loving yet gentle kiss upon her forehead before she had gone to sleep, she could recall him muttering something her sleep deprived couldn't comprehend.

She had wanted to tell him not to go but she was soon greeted by darkness and by the time that she had woken up late that afternoon, she found herself alone and naked in her bed with him nowhere in sight. A few days had passed after that night when she saw hide nor hair of the elder Uchiha and eager to get a feel for where he was, she asked Sasuke. She had been hesitant to see her teammate, since she had been giving him the cold shoulder for a number of months but after bribing him with a bag full of tomatoes, she found herself back into the young Uchiha's good graces.

She was then informed that Itachi had been summoned for a solo mission that would take him out of the village for a month or two but Sasuke had told her that there was some kind of complication and no-one knew when he would be back and being somewhat curious, she had asked Lady Tsunade but she neither confirmed or denied his timeframe to come back, so she had just let it go.

Sitting on the few stairs, that led up to her doorstep, Sakura pulled the small blanket closer to her body as found herself watching the cloud float on by, while occasionally looking down at the few people, who walked on by. When she found herself alone with her thought, she found herself wondering what he was doing at the moment.

"Hey"

Looking down from the sky, Sakura found Sasuke standing in-front of her with his hands dug into his front pockets.

"Hey back at." She smiled "What do I owe this pleasure?" She asked

"Nothing really, I just want to stop by and speak before I get ready to go?"

Her head tilted to the right in curiosity "Go? Where are you headed to?"

"Sunagakure."

"What's in-Gasping softly, a large smile made its way onto Sakura's face "About damn time! Does she know that you're coming?"

Sasuke shook his head "Her parents know but she doesn't, I plan on surprising her."

"I know that she'll be glad to see you."

"I'll just be glad to put everything on the back burner while I'm away, they're becoming a nuisance."

"I'm assuming that they still mad at me?" Sakura asked as she cut her eyes towards Sasuke.

Sasuke nodded "More like pissed but yeah they're still mad and blaming you and my father, but their mostly pissed at you. They still believe that you tricked Itachi into telling everyone about his infidelity, to get back in your good graces."

It was typical of them to blame her for Itachi outing himself, which didn't do anything but tarnish his reputation slightly and keep everyone in the Uchiha district, whispering about her whenever she set foot in their compound. There was only thing that they were interested in was Itachi's reputation, as far as they were concerned, He was their perfect prodigy child and they had worked too damn hard in grooming him to be defined by a jealous woman.

She shook her head "Figures."

"I wouldn't worry about it too much; they're just looking for a way to save face." Sasuke shrugged as he and looked down the street. After not turning back towards her, Sakura peeked down the street and watched as a lone figure began to approach the two of them. Dressed in typical anbu attire, with his mask tied securely at his hip, came Itachi. Taking in his form, Sakura could easily tell that there was something about him that was different. He looked happy.

Watching Sasuke, out the corner of her eye, she watched as Itachi's gaze shifted from her to Sasuke as he walked towards him and just when Sasuke was within arm's reach, Itachi poked Sasuke in his forehead before offering him a small smile.

"Nice to have you back Nii-san." She could hear Sasuke say before he looked over his shoulder at Sakura.

"I'll catch up with you when I come back Sakura."

Looking back at Sasuke, she nodded "Sure, Tell her I said hello."

Nodding back at her, Sasuke threw another glance at his brother before he left, leaving the two of them alone. Sakura couldn't tell how many times that she had practiced over a million times of what she would say to the elder Uchiha if she had every saw him again but nothing seemed to come out as she continued to look at him.

He smiled at her "Hi"

She smiled back "Hi" Scooting over, she offered him the seat next to her and watched he slipped the small pouch, on his hip, off before sitting beside her.

"How have you been?" He asked as he stared straight ahead

"I've been busy but good. I have been doing well."

"I'm glad to hear that."

"How about you? Are you feeling a lot better now that your home?"

"I'm feeling a lot better now that I'm around you." He replied honestly

"Itachi"

"I know that we haven't just actually sat and talked about everything but nothing has changed. I still love you regardless if you love me or not. We can take everything one day at a time."

Scoffing playfully, Sakura leaned onto Itachi's shoulder "One day at a time."

Author Note:

8,062 words! The word count to you guys may not seem as a big deal but I have been contemplating for the past two weeks on whether I needed to take down To The Ties that Bind because there was soooo much more that I wanted to add to that fanfiction before I actually released the prologue for Before Dawn but it's out now and I don't' want to take it down so I'll just have to work a little extra more when I'm writing/typing the next chapters of Before Dawn.

I'm not sure what fanfiction that I'll be releasing next but more than likely it's going to be Stand By Me and then possibly Nugatory.

As always reviews are welcomed along with constructive criticism.
