Chapter 5
" But... Mother... I don't... " Sylvia stepped away from Rayleigh and Shakky before moving to Hancock and nuzzling against her as tears built up in her eyes. After a moment, Rayleigh spoke.
" This must be a little overwhelming, Shakky let's go for a walk. Let Hancock talk to her. " Rayleigh stood and walked toward the door as Shakky nodded and followed him. After they left, Hancock knelt down and spoke calmly.
" Sylvia, I love and adore you. I will always be your mother and I will always love you. Meeting your birth parents will never change that. " Hancock spoke calmly as she ran her fingers through Sylvia's hair.
" But what if they want to take me away from you? I don't want to leave now! I would miss everyone too much... " Sylvia looked away sadly as Hancock spoke.
" I know sweety. But they are not like that. They won't make you leave us if you don't want to. I know Rayleigh will want to teach you but they won't ask you to leave us. " Hancock smiled softly as Sylvia hugged her tightly.
" But... " Sylvia stepped back and looked up at Hancock slowly.
" I know sweety. I know. But it is alright. You don't need to be scared. We are all here for you. " Hancock petted Sylvia's head gently as Rayleigh and Shakky stepped back into the bar.
" So... I know you are probably thinking that you don't want to leave the Kuja. Which is perfectly alright, We wouldn't ask you to leave the people that have become your family. But... There are some things we need to tell you... That we need to teach you. If you will let us. " Rayleigh smiled as Sylvia looked between him and Shakky again before looking up at Hancock, Who smiled and nodded slightly.
" Such as? " Sylvia looked back toward Rayleigh as he spoke.
" I would like to teach you what I know. Shakky would like to tell you more about our time together before you were taken. " Rayleigh smiled again as a soft hissing sound came from the doorway. Rayleigh looked toward the door to see a black snake slithering into the bar before coiling itself around Sylvia slowly.
" Where have you been Shika? I haven't seen you since we left the island. " Sylvia giggled softly as Shika nuzzled her face affectionately.
" She really is a Kuja. " Hancock spoke with a smile as Rayleigh smiled.
" So it seems... I would like to start her training as soon as possible. If that is alright. " Rayleigh looked toward Hancock who glanced at Sylvia before speaking.
" You should know... Sylvia has Devil Fruit abilities. " Hancock sighed softly before continuing. " Sylvia lets step outside for a moment. Rayleigh needs to see your powers. "
" Okay mother. " Sylvia smiled happily as she walked outside before Shika uncoiled herself.
" I will warn you... Sylvia's powers are... Quite unique. Even for a Devil Fruit. " Hancock spoke softly before stepping outside with Rayleigh and Shakky in tow. After they were all outside, Hancock nodded toward Sylvia.
Sylvia sighed softly and closed her eyes for a moment as a tingling sensation rippled through her body. As Sylvia opened her eyes, Rayleigh spoke.
" It can't be... " Rayleigh watched as pink crystals covered Sylvia's body.
" Devil Fruits Bane... " Shakky's jaw dropped slowly as she turned to Rayleigh. " You said it was a myth... "
" I thought it was... Roger and I searched for years as we journeyed the Grand Line and never once found anything supporting it's existence as anything more. To see it in person... " Rayleigh sighed softly as Sylvia stretched out slowly, The crystals on her skin sparkling in the rays of sunlight that broke through the canopy leaves from the trees dotting the island.
" Sylvia has almost fully mastered her power. She continues to discover new abilities within it but can control it for the most part. " Hancock smiled as Sylvia stretched out her arms as the crystals flowed along her skin like water, Forming into long, Sharp blades. As Sylvia swung her arms, The crystal blades hummed softly.
" Magnificent... " Rayleigh smiled brightly before chuckling softly. " Combined with what I will teach you, Your power will quickly elevate you to levels that most people can only daydream of. Shall we begin then? " Rayleigh smiled as Sylvia grinned and lunged forward. As Sylvia swung her arms in a downward cross, Rayleigh raised his arms as they glowed suddenly. As Sylvia's blades connected, She gasped as Rayleigh caught her blades with his bare hands.
" How... How did you do that... " Sylvia looked at Rayleigh hands, Which were not so much as scratched, Before glancing at her blades.
" It is called Haki. There are three types. Kenbunshoku Haki allows you to perceive things such as incoming attacks, Moments before they happen. With enough practice you may even be able to see a few seconds into the future. Busoshoku Haki allows you to harden your skin to make it stronger than the sharpest blades and can be used to add power to your own attacks. Then there is Haoshoku Haki. This Haki is exceptionally rare and allows domination over the will of others. This is what I want to teach you. " Rayleigh smiled as Sylvia's crystals receded and she looked at her hands with wonder.
" Can everyone use Haki? " Sylvia looked at Rayleigh with eyes full of curiosity and wonder as he chuckled.
" Every living thing has Haki within them but not all living creatures know how to use it. To use it takes practice and concentration. But I will teach it to you. " Rayleigh smiled as Sylvia nodded excitedly. " But it will take a lot of time. It took me years to hone my Haki into what it is now. "
" How long would it take to teach me? " Sylvia looked up at Rayleigh nervously as he replied.
" How long it takes depends on how quickly you learn and how well you follow instruction. There is an island nearby that will serve the purposes of your learning. " Rayleigh spoke calmly as Sylvia looked toward Hancock.
" This choice is up to you sweetheart. I cannot decide for you this time. " Hancock smiled but had a trace of sadness in her eyes as Sylvia turned back to Rayleigh.
" The sooner we begin the sooner I go home. Let's get this done. You will take care of Shika won't you mother? " Sylvia looked up at Hancock as she nodded before turning to Rayleigh with a look of determination and ferocity in her eyes that forced a wide smile onto Rayleigh's face as Shakky spoke.
" She reminds me of you. Go teach her everything. I can talk to her before she goes home once her training is done. " Shakky smiled as Rayleigh nodded.
" On our way then. There is a lot to teach you. " Rayleigh smiled as he held his hand out to Sylvia, Who cautiously took it before they walked away from the bar.
" I am really going to miss her... " Hancock watched Sylvia and Rayleigh walk away with a look of longing and sadness on her face before Shakky spoke.
" I have never stopped missing her. You and I are in the same boat so to speak. " Shakky placed a hand on Hancock's shoulder as Hancock nodded.
" I will return to Amazon Lily. When she is ready, Give her this. " Hancock handed Shakky a small piece of paper that pulled in Hancock's direction.
" A Vivre Card? Clever. I'll make sure she gets it. " Shakky smiled as Hancock turned and walked back toward the ship with Sandersonia and Marigold in tow.
" You are sure this is wise? You know how Ajiya and Lolly are going to feel about this. " Marigold spoke calmly but sighed as Hancock responded.
" That... That is irrelevant. Sylvia decided this for herself. We cannot stop her or interrupt her now. They will have to accept this just like the rest of us. " Hancock gritted her teeth as a tear rolled down her cheek. As they walked, Sandersonia placed her hand on Hancock's shoulder.
" We will miss her too sister. But we will always look to the horizon until she returns. " Sandersonia smiled as Hancock wiped the tear away from her cheek and nodded silently.
A Week Later
" Here we are. This island has no humans living on it. Just jungle and many animals. If you can survive here, You can survive anywhere. Now then, Let's not waste any time. Lets start with Kenbunshoku Haki. " Rayleigh picked up a stick as he continued speaking. " Sit down and keep your eyes closed. Focus on the sounds and smells around you. Forget what is not there and focus on what is. "
Sylvia sat down and closed her eyes before breathing slowly. As she breathed, The sounds of the jungle filled her ears. Birds chirping, Roars from various large animals, And Rayleigh's footsteps echoed into her mind. After a moment, Sylvia gasped loudly as something hit her over the head, Leaving a small bump. " OW! What was that for?! "
" You can't expect to learn how to perceive attacks if no attacks are coming your way. Focus. " Rayleigh circled Sylvia again before again hitting her over the head with the stick.
" Why do I get the feeling that this training is gonna leave more scars than abilities... " Sylvia spoke softly before Rayleigh tapped her on the head gently.
" Focus. " Rayleigh smiled as Sylvia glared at him for a moment before closing her eyes once again.
As the sunlight faded and the bright moon filled the sky, Sylvia curled up next to the campfire Rayleigh had made and was sleeping soundly as Rayleigh watched her quietly while he thought to himself. " My precious daughter... Never again will anyone take you from me... Never again will I let you be hurt or tormented. I will make sure you are the strongest. "
Rayleigh sighed softly before laying back against the tree he was sitting next to and falling asleep.
The Next Day
Sylvia awoke slowly to the smell of food and yawned as she sat up. As she rubbed her eyes, Rayleigh put a plate of food in front of her.
" Eat up. You need your strength. " Rayleigh smiled before sitting down and picking up a plate for himself.
" Tell me something Rayleigh. " Sylvia spoke softly as Rayleigh glanced toward her. " The village... You said you burned it to the ground. Did you leave anyone alive? "
" No. None. " Rayleigh sighed sadly before speaking again. " I... I may have acted in haste. Killing them all was unnecessary and I do regret it. Except for one. That punk was really asking for it. The way he talked about you, The way he described what he had done to you... He deserved it. " Rayleigh turned away but gasped suddenly as Sylvia hugged him tightly.
" Thank you. " Sylvia smiled brightly as Rayleigh looked at her with confusion in his eyes.
" For what? " Rayleigh spoke calmly before Sylvia responded.
" For taking the pain away. Those memories were tormenting me. Thinking they could do everything they did and get away with it was torture. It felt like no one cared what they had done to me. Thank you. " Sylvia smiled brightly as Rayleigh smiled.
" You are my daughter. There is nothing I would not do for you. " Rayleigh smiled as Sylvia sat down and leant against him.
" Even though this is new to me... Knowing that I have a father who loves me and wants to be here for me is... Much more comforting than I expected it to be. " Sylvia snuggled against Rayleigh as he put his arms around her and held her gently.
" I will always be here for you Sylvia. I love you with all of my heart and will never let you suffer again. I promise. " Rayleigh kissed Sylvia's head gently as she sighed softly. After a few moments, Rayleigh let her go and stood up, Wiping a tear away from his eye before speaking. " Now then, Lets get back to your training. "
" O... Okay... Father... " Sylvia blushed lightly as a look of surprise etched onto Rayleigh's face for a moment before he petted Sylvia's head gently.
" There's the sweet girl I remember. " Rayleigh smiled as Sylvia blushed slightly brighter before sitting down and closing her eyes. " Focus now... "
Sylvia breathed out as Rayleigh swung the stick. This time, Sylvia leant to the side as the stick swung past her head and hit the ground with soft thud.
" Good! Again. " Rayleigh spoke softly as he continued swinging the stick. Sylvia managed to dodge a few but continued to get hit until nightfall once again fell over the island.
Eleven Years Later
" What ever that thing is, It has nearly broken through the wall! What do we do?! " Sandersonia spoke loudly as explosions filled the air.
" What can we do... We have no way to... " Hancock paused as Lolly's voice filled her ears.
" Captain! On the Horizon! " Lolly pointed out over the ocean as a bright pink glint filled the sky before the sea seemed to rush toward the wall. As Hancock looked over the ocean, She smiled brightly and tears poured down her cheeks at what she saw.
Sylvia's crystal coated form, Which now had two large wings adorning her back, Barrelled toward the fleet of Marine ships that battered the wall of crystal Sylvia had created so many years ago. As she neared the most far back line of ships, Sylvia screamed in rage. As her scream pierced the sky, The ocean around her erupted into crystal, Smashing and tearing the line of Marine ships to shreds as Sylvia slammed into another, Shattering the hull and launching it into the air.
" What the hell was that?! " Sakazuki's voice thundered over the sound of painful yells as a Marine ran up to him with a Transponder Snail. " Report! "
" Sir there is some sort of... Hell I don't know what it is! It's annihilating us with crystals! We need... " The Transponder Snail fell silent as Sakazuki spoke.
" What is it?! TELL ME! " Sakazuki froze as a voice he remembered from the last time he was on Amazon Lily filled his ears.
" You really shouldn't lose your temper. It sets a bad example. " Sylvia floated a few metres above the deck of Sakazuki's ship as he whirled around and his body shifted into magma.
" I'll make an example of you! Never again will the Kuja stand against the World Government! " Sakazuki threw a punch and smiled as he felt his fist collide with something solid. As Sylvia spoke, Sakazuki's smile faltered before he was lifted off his feet and tossed across the deck of his ship.
" We will never bend to your pathetic government. Leave and be spared. " Sylvia's eyes burned with bright pink flames as Sakazuki looked down at his hand in shock.
His hand, That was but moments ago coated in magma, Was back to normal. " What foul trickery is this?! "
" I am the Devil Fruits Bane. Your powers are nothing to me. " Sylvia rushed forward and slammed her fist into Sakazuki's chest, Sending him sprawling backwards as he groaned loudly.
" Impossible... " Sakazuki paused as he coughed up blood slightly. " I am a Logia type... You shouldn't be able to hit me... Unless... " Sakazuki looked down at Sylvia's fist to see it coated in what appeared to be black metal. " Haki... How did you learn this... "
" My father taught me. " Sylvia swept her leg up and landed a kick to the side of Sakazuki's head, Sending him crashing against the mast of the ship.
" Your... Father... " Sakazuki spoke painfully as Sylvia walked toward him with a fierce gaze.
" Dark King Silvers Rayleigh. " Sylvia spoke clearly as her voice echoed through Sakazuki's mind. As a look of rage appeared on his face, Sakazuki lunged forward and coated his fist in magma once more.
" He will die alongside you! " Sakazuki roared with anger but groaned loudly as a sickening, piercing crunch filled his ears. As he looked down, Blood flowed down his chest as he looked at Sylvia.
" You first. " Sylvia stepped back and pulled her arm away from Sakazuki, The long spike of black, metal covered crystal leaving a large hole straight through Sakazuki's chest. As Sakazuki fell to his knees, Sylvia's crystal wings flapped strongly, Sending her rocketing into the sky before she slammed into another Marine ship, Shattering it with the force of the impact.
As Sakazuki coughed heavily, A loud siren filled the sky and the remnants of the Marine fleet turned away and sailed quickly away from Amazon Lily. As the few remaining Marine ships sailed toward the horizon, Sylvia rocketed upward and landed on the top of the crystal wall with a loud thud as Hancock rushed toward her. " Sylvia! "
As Hancock wrapped her arms around Sylvia, Sylvia's crystals receded and she giggled happily as she hugged Hancock tightly. " Hello mother. I missed you. "
Hancock had tears rolling down her face as she kissed Sylvia's head gently. " Oh sweetheart... I have missed you more than words can say. "
" Sylvia! Finally! " Lolly ran forward and tackled Sylvia happily as she giggled. " You took way too long to come home! "
" I had a lot to learn. But it was worth every second being away. It was so hard to resist coming back before now... But I learned everything father wanted to teach me. " Sylvia smiled brightly as Lolly nuzzled her cheek lovingly. After a few moments, Lolly let go and helped Sylvia to her feet as she spoke softly.
" You may want to head to the village... Ajiya... She... " Lolly sighed and looked down sadly before Sylvia changed into her crystal form and rocketed toward the island as Lolly spoke again. " That's new... "
" Indeed. Hell of a way to get around. " Sandersonia giggled softly as they walked down the staircase they had carved into the rear of the wall and walked aboard the Kuja ship before sailing back to the village.
As Sylvia landed in the village, She looked around. The village felt much bigger than she remembered as her body returned to normal. As she sighed softly, Sylvia smiled as the familiar smells and sounds that filled her memories flooded her senses one by one. Smells of the food that the villagers cooked, The smell of the air around the hot springs, The smell of the wind as it blew through the village. After about fifteen minutes of taking in the smells and sounds, Sylvia felt a soft tug on her arm. As she turned, Sylvia saw Lolly smiling at her. " Come with me. I'll take you to Ajiya. You should know... She... She hasn't been the same since you left. She barely eats or sleeps. She just sits in your room at the palace... She never goes anywhere or does anything... Just stays in your room... It's... It's honestly really depressing when I see her... " Lolly looked away sadly before pulling Sylvia toward the palace. After walking through the doors and up the stairs to Sylvia's room, Lolly walked back down the stairs to wait outside as Sylvia pushed the door open gently. As she stepped in, Sylvia heard Ajiya's voice. The sound was soft but was filled with pain and sadness.
" Do I even care anymore... She still hasn't come home... Why should I care anymore... " Ajiya's voice echoed around the room softly before Sylvia's voice caused her to freeze in shock.
" Ajiya? " Sylvia spoke soothingly with a tender tone of voice as Ajiya sighed softly.
" S... Sylvia... " Ajiya turned slowly and burst into tears before running forward and hugging Sylvia. After a moment, Ajiya snapped out of her sudden burst of emotion and slapped Sylvia roughly. " Why did you leave me... "
" I had to. Father wanted me to get stronger. He wanted me to learn. I had to Ajiya... " Sylvia froze as Ajiya slapped her again, Harder.
" Don't give me excuses. You promised. " Ajiya slapped Sylvia a third time, This time forcing Sylvia backwards and making her fall to the floor before turning away and walking back to Sylvia's bed and laying down as Sylvia rubbed her face gently.
After a few moments, Sylvia stood and walked over before sitting on the bed. " Ajiya... "
" Go away. " Ajiya rolled over as tears filled her eyes.
" But... " Sylvia fell silent as the sound of Ajiya crying echoed around the room.
" Leave me alone. " Ajiya spoke sadly but gasped as Sylvia rolled her onto her back and sat on her lap as she spoke.
" No. " Sylvia spoke sternly as Ajiya struggled against her.
" Get off me! I don't want to see you! " Ajiya kicked her legs to try and get Sylvia off but to no avail as Sylvia forcefully pinned Ajiya's arms against the bed and kissed her lovingly. After a few moments of struggling, Ajiya burst into tears and melted into Sylvia's kisses. As Sylvia broke the last kiss, Ajiya gasped breathlessly.
" You may not want to see me Ajiya... But I have longed for and missed you with all my heart. No matter how many times you hit me or tell me to go away or even if you say you hate me, I will not leave. I am here and I am staying here with you until you no longer care for me. " Sylvia spoke shakily as tears rolled down her cheeks, Falling onto Ajiya's face slowly." I left for you. I trained for eleven years for you. I came home for you. Everything... Everything I have done was for you Ajiya. If that isn't good enough then tell me now and I will never come near you again. But I will never stop loving you. I will never stop trying to make this up to you. "
Ajiya's eyes filled with tears as she pulled Sylvia against her and held her tightly. " I love you so much Sylvia. I missed you so much. You have no idea how hard it was. Not knowing where you were or if you were even alive... Eleven years Sylvia. For eleven years I waited... Every day I looked toward the horizon... Praying... Hoping... Dreaming that you would just appear and tell me you love me. Every day my heart broke when you didn't appear. Every day my care for you wavered. Every day Lolly came here and told me not to give up. Every day for eleven years. And now you are finally home... I hate you so much for leaving me... But I love you so much for coming back. " Ajiya held Sylvia tightly before kissing her cheek lovingly. " That being said... You have a lot of time to make up for. " Ajiya sighed and shoved Sylvia off her roughly before Sylvia sighed.
" And I plan to make up for every second. " Sylvia smiled devilishly as she moved forward before Ajiya sighed.
" You say it like it is going to be eas... Ah... " Ajiya whimpered softly as Sylvia bit her ear gently. " S... Sylvia... "
" Shh. " Sylvia ran her hands along Ajiya's body as she licked and kissed Ajiya's neck and collarbone gently. As Ajiya whimpered, Sylvia pulled her shirt up and over her head before kissing down her chest and stomach. As Ajiya blushed brightly, Sylvia kissed back up to her lips before pressing a long, deep kiss to Ajiya's lips, Leaving her breathless once more. After sighing loudly, Ajiya sat up and pulled Sylvia's coat and shirt off roughly, Tossing it aside before pushing Sylvia onto her back and running her tongue from Sylvia's waist up to her lips and kissing her passionately.
After breaking the kiss, Ajiya spoke softly. " You don't get to have all the fun. " Ajiya leant down and bit Sylvia's neck tenderly, Causing Sylvia to moan loudly before Ajiya sat up and pulled Sylvia onto her lap as she spoke again. " You are overdressed Sylvia. "
Sylvia giggled softly before moving off the bed and taking off the rest of her clothes as Ajiya blushed brightly. After laying back down, Sylvia sighed softly as Ajiya ran her hands all over her body slowly. As Ajiya ran her hands up the inside of Sylvia's thighs, She paused and looked up at Sylvia.
" I am yours Ajiya. Anything you want to do to me... With me... I won't stop you... " Sylvia moaned loudly as Ajiya moved her hands away and kissed up the inside of Sylvia's thighs. As Sylvia trembled, Ajiya kissed up to her waist and along her waistline before proceeding lower as Sylvia gripped the blanket she was laying on and moaned loudly.
A Few Hours Later
" That... " Sylvia whimpered as her body trembled again. " That was so worth waiting eleven years for... "
Ajiya whimpered as Sylvia pulled her body against her own. " Hell yes it was... But don't you dare make me wait that long again. "
" I wouldn't dream of it. Waiting another eleven years after experiencing that? I'd die! " Sylvia giggled softly before kissing Ajiya passionately. " Ajiya I want... No... I need to ask you... "
" Ask me what? " Ajiya looked into Sylvia's eyes longingly as she spoke.
" I... I said that I am yours and I meant it. In every way... I want to be yours... And... And I want you to be mine... " Sylvia froze as Ajiya cupped her face in her hands.
" Yes. Ofcourse yes. I am yours now and always. I love you with all my heart Sylvia. " Ajiya kissed Sylvia gently before continuing. " I have wanted you since the day we met. I have belonged to you since then even if it wasn't obvious. Even if I never said it, I have always been yours. "
" And I yours Ajiya. I want you in my life forever. I want to be your lover and partner forever. " Sylvia kissed Ajiya tenderly as Ajiya whimpered softly.
" I... I can't imagine my life any other way Sylvia... " Ajiya blushed brightly before wrapping her arms around Sylvia as tears of joy built up in her eyes.
" I love you Ajiya. " Sylvia held Ajiya lovingly as Ajiya spoke.
" I love you to Sylvia. " Ajiya blushed brighter as she smiled happily and kissed Sylvia deeply.
Meanwhile
" Ugh... They are taking forever... What the hell are they... Oh... " Lolly blushed brightly as she realised what Sylvia and Ajiya might be doing. " I... " Lolly giggled disappointingly before continuing. " I kinda feel left out... "
" Nothing wrong with that sweety. " Cookie smiled sweetly as Lolly looked at her in shock.
" Mom! Don't sneak up on me! " Lolly gasped as Cookie wrapped her arms around her and sighed softly.
" My sweet little girl is growing up too fast... Whatever will I do... " Cookie giggled softly as Lolly pushed her away with embarrassment on her face.
" Mom! " Lolly looked at Cookie with irritation on her face as Cookie sighed loudly.
" Soon you will have a lover of your own... And get married... Your growing up way too fast... " Cookie giggled as Lolly blushed furiously and huffed as she turned away with embarrassment on her face again.
" Shut up mom! You are embarrassing me! " Lolly pouted but sighed softly as Cookie wrapped her in a tender hug and kissed her head gently.
" I am just teasing sweetheart. Don't you worry. " Cookie giggled and tousled Lolly's hair gently before walking away with a smile on her face as Lolly continued blushing brightly and sat down with a huff as she pouted.
After a few minutes, Sylvia and Ajiya walked out with smiles on their faces as they blushed lightly before realising Lolly was sitting at the gate. " Oh... Lolly you didn't have to literally wait for us... "
" Well I didn't expect you to take HOURS to come back outside. " Lolly huffed and turned away as Ajiya sat beside her and nudged her playfully.
" Feeling left out Lolly? " Ajiya spoke teasingly as Lolly went bright red and turned away.
" Shut up! " Lolly shoved Ajiya as she pouted but whimpered softly as Ajiya licked the side of her neck playfully.
" Don't feel left out Lolly... Sylvia might let you play with us next time... " Ajiya smiled devilishly as Sylvia giggled.
" I might... If Lolly is a good girl. " Sylvia smiled playfully as Lolly glared at them with irritation on her face.
" I hate you two so much right now... " Lolly motioned to turn away but froze as Sylvia seized her chin in the palm of her hand and tilted Lolly's head up.
" Good girls don't talk like that Lolly... You should be nicer... " Sylvia smiled devilishly as Lolly blushed and bit her lip.
" I... I'm sorry... I... " Lolly whimpered softly as Sylvia caressed her jaw with her thumb gently. " I'll behave... I... I'll be a good girl... "
Sylvia giggled softly and kissed Lolly's forehead playfully. " I've really missed teasing you Lolly. "
Lolly pouted but blushed brightly as she stood up and smiled as Sylvia and Ajiya walked away toward the hot springs. After sighing softly, Lolly ran after them.
