To anonymousfriend27: I actually considered Raincomprix being the police mole (if Adrien's father can be a super-villain, why can't another character's father be a bad guy, too?). I haven't decided who the police mole will be yet, so it could be him…

After publishing a chapter daily for a month and a half, it's weird to think I don't actually have something for today (other than this). However, thanks to beginning one of the two busy seasons in my regular job, I haven't actually been able to write much of anything for fan fiction in March (I finished "The Fashion Disaster" at the end of February, just in time). I started writing the next one-shot for "An Adrienette Anthology" last week, but even that isn't finished yet.

All of that is a quick explanation of why the "Mind Games"-verse is going on a hiatus for the next month or more. I will still publish "Anthology" one-shots as I finish them – I hope to finish the next one this week. I may even write one-shots outside the "Anthology" if the inspiration strikes. But I probably won't be able to finish anything longer before Easter. I am planning to pick up the story, about a month or so after "The Fashion Disaster," so this is simple a "To Be Continued…"

That's not to say I'm going to disappear for the next couple months. In fact, my schedule has cleared up a bit with the COVID-19 shutdowns, so I will have a little more time for writing, but not enough to promise a new story before Easter.

In the meantime, I'm planning to cross-post all of the "Mind Games"-verse stories onto Archive of Our Own ("tptplayer5701") since I've come to appreciate the formatting there, including the ability to navigate multi-story arcs. I am going to revise as I go, so there will be small differences (mostly replacing "Mr." with "M."), but otherwise the AO3 version will be mostly identical to the FF version. The lone exception is "Tit for Tat," for which I'm considering adding a chapter at the beginning (which would change chapter 4 slightly). If I do, I may publish the new chapter at the end of "Tit for Tat" on FF, since otherwise I think I would need to completely republish the story.

When thinking about this break, I started considering the "Mind Games"-verse in terms of "seasons." The first couple stories (through "Mind Games") are a single narrative that ends the Hawk Moth story arc from the series and establishes Marinette and Adrien without secret identities – "Season 0" (or an alternate ending to the show's Season 3 – eliminating "Kwamibuster," "Feast," "Ikari Gozen," "Timetagger," "Cat Blanc," and "The Battle of the Miraculous"). If you are curious about why I'm ignoring any of those episodes, let me know.

Everything since then (from "Bugs Have to Stick Together" up to "The Fashion Disaster") focuses on three things. Marinette and Adrien respond to the possible future they saw in "Running out of Time." The team expands with the addition of new heroes and new types of heroes (non-Miraculous). The next threat to Paris emerges. "Season 1," if you will.

So the next group of stories would be "Season 2." What will that entail? Check back in a month or two to find out!

In the meantime, here is your tease for the next four multi-chapter stories I'm planning and working on. Titles are not set for any of these.

"A Peruvian Adventure" – When Adrien is attacked on a business trip to South America, the encounter draws him and Marinette into an intercontinental adventure of Miraculous proportions. Who attacked him and why? Who are the mysterious agents tracking them? Can they find the prize before it falls into the wrong hands?

"Long Live the Queen" – Queen Bee has disappeared! When Chloe fails to meet up with Sabrina, it is up to Alya, with Nino and Anansi in tow, to track her down. What happened to their only "public" Hero? Could this be the work of Lynchpin's agents?

"Purity and Corruption" – While on assignment for the Heroes of Paris, Viperion and Ryoku encounter a new player in the Miraculous world of Paris – one that rings a bell for Ryoku. But is everything as it seems?

"No More Monkey Games" – Alix is skating in the zoo when all the animals suddenly go wild. Then King Monkey shows up and the Monkey games commence! What's a girl to do when a Monkey starts fighting a bear right in front of her? Join in the fun, of course!
