Hi, I should probably be asleep right now or doing the last of my homework, but here goes. First Minecraft Story mode fanfic that isn't related to Kid mode!

Jessie sat frozen on her seat. Now or never. She thought to herself as he turned away from her to listen to the teacher. She got the card she had made at Break time with shaking hands and opened his homework planner slightly. NOW! She slipped the card inside and closed it, before turning around.

She could not have believed she'd done it. The bell rang, dismissing the students to lunch and Jessie ran for her life into the cafeteria where Petra was waiting for her at the end of a lunch queue. She beckoned for her to come over, sending fierce glares to anyone who dared to complain.

"Did you wimp out?" She demanded to know as they lined up for their pizza and chips. Jessie shook her head as an answer. "Nice! Now to wait." Petra said with a grin.

"What if he doesn't realise it was me who wrote it? What if he thinks it's someone else?" Petra frowned at Jessie's questions.

"Why would he think that? You did sign it, didn't you?" She asked, her frown deepening.

"N-no, I mean yes, but I used a different name..." Jessie looked down at her feet. "To what?!" Petra whisper-shrieked.

"Catherine Taber," Jessie answered. Petra facepalmed.

"Jessica Redstone, you are the most idiotic girl I've ever met! Why would you sign it like that?!" She hissed in a strangled whisper.

"I was scared!" Jessie protested.

Before Petra could make any other remarks, however, it was her turn to get food. She quickly got her food and went to scare away some year 7s before waiting for Jessie with a disapproving look.

Meanwhile, Lukas had found the note in his homework planner. "What the-" He muttered as he read it.

Dear Lukas,

I've liked you since year 7 and I know you probably won't care, but here goes I guess

Will you be my Valentine?

Love from

Catherine Taber

"Who's Catherine Taber?" He wondered out loud. Mya looked over it.

"Weird name." She muttered. "Who was near enough to you to slip it in your planner?" She asked.

"Well, Jessie was in my last-ohh." The penny dropped as he thought about it. He glanced around the cafeteria to find the said girl make eye contact with him, blush bright red and dive under the table she was sharing with Petra, Axel and Olivia.

The colour looked quite nice on her, Lukas found himself thinking. "I'll be right back." He said as he scribbled a reply and got up. He slowly made his way to Jessie's table where her friends were trying to convince her to come out of hiding.

"Hey..." He said softly. Petra looked over to him, grinned, before leaning under the table. "Hey, Jess! Looks like he figured it was you after all!" She teased the younger girl.

"Maybe give us some privacy to talk it out?" Lukas offered.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, who said anything about leaving you with her?" Axel snapped, squaring up to the blond, much to Olivia's annoyance.

"Axel, come on, he won't hurt her." She pulled him away to another table, with Petra eventually following, grinning like Cheshire cat.

Jessie poked her head out and immediately tried to go back under. "Hey, you know if we're going to be going out, you can't keep hiding from me you know." He chuckled, sitting. Jessie got out. "Going out?" She repeated.

"Yeah, I mean, that's the reason you wrote me this, right?" Lukas smiled, as he handed it over. under the note was a poem.

Roses are red, violets are blue,

There's one girl who can be my Valentine,

and that girl is you.

Little tears of joy filled her eyes, but she blinked them away for now

"But, I thought you were way out of my league, you know what I mean?" Jessie said hesitantly, watching him carefully.

"Maybe start slow for now, if that makes you more comfortable." He said. Without warning, he reached over and wrapped his hand around her own, his fingers curling into her tiny ones.

She froze in her place, staring up into his sky-blue eyes, they were so deep blue she was sure she was going to drown in those blue orbs.

She felt as though she wouldn't be able to breathe. "You're in that production tonight aren't you?" He was asking. Jessie nodded, still unable to breathe. "Where do I buy tickets?"

That evening Jessie was a nervous wreck and accidentally burned her fingers five times before someone else grabbed the curling tongs from her and did her hair for her. Meanwhile, several girls had taken her note and were squeeing over it.

"It's SO cute!" One squeaked. "Is he coming to the production tonight?" She asked for the 100th time.

"For the last time, yes, he is." Jessie winced as the girl let out another ear-piercing squeal.

The school production went fairly well, but all Jessie could focus on was whether Lukas was there or not. Had it just been a cruel joke? That fear gripped her heart and wouldn't let go.

The show finally finished and Jessie went to rush to the door to get her things, deciding he hadn't come after all.

Tears pricked at her eyes as she thought about it. It was so unfair! She thought bitterly as she tugged on her coat and collected her curling tongs.

She opened the door and walked out to the hallway. Her heart skipped a beat as she noticed a blond figure there, holding a bouquet, looking around for someone. It took all of her composure to not sprint over, but as she neared, she could see it was definitely him.

"You came..." She breathed.
