Chapter 1: Rebecca and her family's drive

It was December, Rebecca was riding in a rented car that her father Herbert Powell had rented with them were Lindsay, Kevin, and Tiffany. Herbert was watching the road, he then looked in the rearview mirror, smiles and says, "So anyone want to drive down to Lake Springfield?" Tiffany and Kevin were asleep, Rebecca as looking at a picture that she printed of her crush, Sideshow Bob, and Lindsay was looking out her window. Herb shrugs and says, "Guess not.", he then says, "So Rebecca, have you thought about what your cousin Bart told you last week?" She nods and tells him that she has, but her feelings for the homocidal maniac won't fade, she also states that Bob's been there for her a lot. The family soon passes by where Sideshow Bob and some other convicts were picking up trash, Rebecca notices Bob, and asks her father to stop the car, so she could talk to him, but her father tells her that he still doesn't trust him, so he drives on.

Soon the family reach the place where Herb had went to rent the car, Herb tells Kevin and Tiffany to wake up, which they do. Lindsay, Kevin, and Tiffany exit the car, the man in charge of the company goes over to the driver's side, chuckles, Herb asks him why he's chuckling; to which he tells him that they checked the car out with a half tank of gas and now it's three quarters full, he then says, "I'm calling you Santa." Herb then says sternly, "No one and I mean no one calls me, Santa!", he then puts the car in reverse and Rebecca asks him, "What are you doing?" He tells her that he's going waste the extra quarter of gas, she asks if they can go back to where Bob was; to which Herb tells her, "What part of 'I don't trust him', do you not understand?"
