Changing of the Heart

Chapter 2: Herb loses track of Rebecca

After just fifteen minutes, Herb stops the car in the middle of nowhere, and there was still a little more than half tank of gas left, Rebecca then tells him that she wants to explore the woods and see the animals and plants, Herb nods and says, "Alright, but don't get lost, honey." Rebecca smiles, exits the car, enters the woods and walks around, soon she hears something, she looks down and sees what looks like a trap-door, she jumps on the door, and it soon opens and she falls. She stands up, looks around and says, "Where am I?", she then takes off one of her shoes, which lit up, turned on the light and used it to look around.

After two minutes Herbert entered the woods and started looking for the ten year old girl, he looks behind every tree and around every bush and boulder. Soon he drives back, thinking what he'll tell Lindsay. Once he gets back to where he rented the car, Kevin asks where he was and Lindsay asks where Rebecca is; to which Herb tugs at his collar nervously and says, "Lindsay, you remember how you wanted that small library but we could never find a room?"

Soon the family along with the rest of Springfield began searching for the girl, Lindsay says in sadness, "My little Rebecca..", Wiggum looks at Lou and tells him, "Let me handle this, if there's one thing I know it's handling distraught parents." He then walks over to Lindsay and Herbert and asks Lindsay, "Ma'm could you describe your daughter's skeleton?", she then gets mad and is about to attack Wiggum but her husband holds her back, all the while she calls Wiggum incompetent.
