Changing of the Heart
Chapter 3: Bob learns about Rebecca's disappearence
The search party is soon joined by the convicts that had been picking up trash early, the officer tells them, "Okay maggots, you're gonna help find this lost girl." One convict replies with, "I thought we were ladies?", the officer tells him that they're lady maggots, Bob then steps forward and says, "Sargent, we're pretty close to riot mode!" The officer pulls out a picture of the girl, and tells Bob, "This is the girl." Bob reluctantly tells the officer that he's never seen her before in his life, the officer then pulls Bob's left sleeve up and then points to his tattoo that says, 'Rebecca Simpson is cool', he then says, "That could be any Rebecca Simpson." He thinks to himself, "I will find her, and hopefully she is still my fan."
The next day, we find Rebecca sitting in a room, she had found the nuclear missile last night, she was now using the phone that she found to call Moe's Tavern, once Moe answered, she asks him if she can talk to a 'Miss calls', first name 'Test', Moe then asks around his bar for this person, and then all the barflies there laugh, Rebecca laughs after Moe yells into his phone, the middle of the phone cord of the phone Rebecca was using burns, and Rebecca steps on the small fire and then sighs. Soon she's climbing up the ladder up to the door, but sadly the rungs break, and she falls.
Meanwhile, Bart and Milhouse are looking for her, and Bart tells his best friend, "I'm guessing my cousin did this so that Bob could find her." Milhouse says that he thought that Rebecca was over Bob; to which Bart tells him that Rebecca told him that'll never happen. Bart then says, "Milhouse, I'll keep looking, why don't you go home." Milhouse says that he wants to be the one to find Rebecca as that might make her like him, Bart laughs a small laugh and tells his friend, "Please, Rebecca won't ever like you as more than a friend." Milhouse sighs, the two boys then see a light blue scarf and Bart says, "This is Rebecca's favorite scarf, she's got to be close, they walk in the direction of the trap door, and they soon hear a voice say, "Bart! Milhouse!" They then look down and see Rebecca, Bart looks at Milhouse and says, "Go tell my cousins that we found Rebecca. I'll stay here and keep her company."
