A Dragon's Call

Chapter 2

Syra awoke slowly the next morning before yawning and stretching lightly. As she got up and walked toward the cupboard where Levy was letting her put her mage outfit, Levy wrapped her arms around her from behind, Causing Syra to gasp suddenly.

" Good morning Syra. " Levy smiled brightly as Syra took a breathe and sighed happily.

" Good morning Levy. You surprised me... " Syra smiled as Levy giggled happily.

" Good. I wanted to surprise you at least once today. " Levy smiled before continuing her sentence. " I was up late last night thinking and I came to a decision. "

Syra tilted her head with confusion on her face as Levy spoke again. " I... I... " Levy couldn't get the words to come out before blushing brightly and shaking her head before running out of the room. After getting dressed, Syra walked out of Levy's room and left Fairy Hills before walking toward the Guild Hall. As she entered the Guild Hall, Syra saw Levy sitting at the bar. As Syra approached, She heard Levy speaking to Mirajane.

" I can't do it Mira... I try to say it but the words just don't come out. How can I tell Syra that I love her if the wo..." Levy gasped softly but whimpered as Syra tilted her head back and kissed Levy deeply. After a few minutes, Syra broke the kiss but stayed within a few inches of Levy's face as she spoke softly.

" I'm so happy you said it Levy. I could see it in your eyes that you felt this way. I could tell that you wanted to say it. I'm so glad you finally said it... " Syra closed the gap and pressed another tender kiss to Levy's lips as Levy whimpered again softly and ran her fingers through Syra's hair gently. As Syra once again broke the kiss, She leant to the side and whispered softly in Levy's ear. " I love you to Levy. More than you know. "

Syra quickly placed a third kiss on Levy's lips before sitting down as Levy sighed softly and several soft whimpers escaped her lips as she tried to regain her breathe. " She... She loves me... " The words escaped Levy's lips as tears welled up in her eyes. " She loves me... "

After regaining her composure, Levy stood and was met by Syra wrapping her arms around her and hugging her tenderly. As Syra motioned to move, Mirajane spoke calmly.

" It is so wonderful that Levy can finally express herself. Even if it is little bits at a time. " Mirajane smiled happily as Levy spoke.

" I am trying... It is really hard... And embarrassing... To express my feelings so openly... " Levy spoke nervously and blushed brightly as Syra turned to face her.

" I can help you with that Levy... " Syra blushed brightly as Levy spoke.

" How wi... " Levy fell silent as Syra leant forward and kissed her lovingly.

After a moment, Syra stepped back and Levy sighed softly as Mirajane spoke. " See? Syra has it all figured out. "

After smiling brightly, Mirajane walked around the bar and continued her normal routine as Master Makarov spoke to her. After a few moments, Syra walked to the job board, Leaving Levy speechless and lost in her emotions. After a few minutes, Syra took a job off the board and walked back past Levy, Kissing her cheek gently as she passed which caused Levy to snap back to reality and blush brightly.

" Syra! Don't just kiss me like that in front of everyone! It's embarrassing... " Levy blushed bright red as Syra giggled softly.

" My love for you is embarrassing? It doesn't feel embarrassing... Feels perfectly right to me. " Syra smiled happily as Levy sighed happily and walked over to Syra quickly before hugging her lovingly.

" Are you going on a job Syra? " Levy looked into Syra's eyes longingly after she nodded quietly. " You... You will be careful won't you? "

" Don't worry Levy. I'll be alright. " Syra smiled before kissing Levy lightly and walking toward the door of the Guild Hall. Levy stood at the bar fidgeting with the bottom of her shirt as she watched Syra leave the Guild Hall.

As she walked through the streets toward the location of the job, Syra looked around at the village raised up on platforms before she smiled and sighed happily. After sighing happily, Syra looked forward as she bumped into someone and fell over. After rubbing her head gently, A gruff voice greeted her.

" Sorry about that kid. You alright? " A tall man with slicked back orange hair, A well toned, Muscular body, A bright playboy smile and a long black cloak held his hand out to her.

" Yeah... I'm okay. Who are you? " Syra smiled as the man introduced himself.

" Name's Gildarts Clive. I'm a member of Fairy Tail. " Gildarts grinned happily as Syra giggled.

" So am I. I joined a few days ago. " Syra smiled as a look of shock appeared on Gildarts face before he noticed the Fairy Tail mark on Syra's cheek.

" Man... How did I not see that... Anyway... Where you off to first thing in the morning? " Gildarts chuckled softly before Syra answered him.

" I'm going on a job. Would you like to come along? " Syra smiled as Gildarts chuckled again.

" Oh why not. Where are we headed? " Gildarts spoke in a very laid back, Casual tone of voice before Syra answered him.

" A local farmer has requested help with a beast that is terrorising her cattle. She wants the beast either captured or killed. " Syra looked up at Gildarts as he chuckled softly.

" Gonna test your strength huh? Need me to help out? " Gildarts smirked playfully as Syra shook her head.

" I should be okay. I'll ask you for help if I need it though. Shall we get going? " Syra smiled as Gildarts nodded and followed her toward the location.

" Suit yourself. What kind of beast is it? " Gildarts looked at Syra as she turned to face him and showed him a picture of the beast.

" Now hold on a second! You are telling me that you... A little girl... Is gonna deal with a WYVERN?! " Gildarts had a look of disbelief on his face as Syra nodded and turned away from Gildarts before continuing to walk toward the gate of Magnolia Town. As they left the town, Syra heard the sounds of machinery and glanced back at Magnolia Town to see the platforms shifting back to normal.

After a few minutes they arrived at the farm from the job posting. Syra gasped at what they found. The farmhouse was a ruin, The ground had blood spatters all over it and the severed arm of a middle aged woman laid in a pool of blood near the broken farmhouse.

" Damn. Guess we were a bit late. " Gildarts spoke calmly. " You are really gonna do this aren't you? You know it is suicide right? Surely you aren't ready for this. "

" You don't know me Gildarts. You don't know what I am capable of... " Syra spoke with a soft tone of disappointment in her voice before Gildarts spoke up.

" True. But don't hold back. Wyvern's are vicious creatures. Give it but one chance and it will kill you. " Gildarts spoke with a tone of experience and knowledge as Syra nodded silently before looking around.

" The blood spatter leads to the forest. We can start there. " Syra spoke calmly before walking toward the forest.

As they approached the edge of the forest, A loud roar echoed from further into the forest. After a moment, A green Wyvern flew overhead and circled around before landing in front of them. As it's feet touched the ground, The Wyvern let out a loud roar that made Syra cover her ears.

" This ought to be interesting... If nothing else... " Syra sighed softly before lunging to the side as the Wyvern attempted to bite her. As she stood, The Wyvern swung its tail and hit her in the stomach. As she hit the ground, Syra coughed slightly as blood trickled out of her mouth.

" Still breathing kid? " Gildarts called out and Syra answered as she stood slowly.

" I'll admit... That one hurt. But I am fine thank yo..." Syra groaned in pain as the Wyvern again hit her with it's tail. This time, Syra managed to flip herself in the air and landed firmly on her feet as the Wyvern roared loudly and took off, flying high into the air before swooping directly toward her. As the Wyvern got closer, Syra's sword appeared in her hand. When the Wyvern collided with her, A cloud of dust erupted into the air before a line of silver light burst out of it. Gildarts stood quickly and looked toward the area with a look of concern on his face. As the dust settled, Gildarts looked toward the Wyvern in horror.

The Wyvern had slammed into the ground but was split cleanly in two from head to tail. As he walked over, Gildarts realised what had actually happened. The Wyvern had in fact, Collided with Syra before it had been cut. To his shock, Syra was laying on the ground groaning in immense pain. After regaining his composure, Gildarts looked at the Wyvern and spotted something on the ground where it had landed. Covered in Wyvern guts and blood was a book. A book still in the tight grip of a human hand. Gildarts looked closer and looking up the arm Gildarts noticed the half dissolved body of a woman, Eyes open, Staring directly at the book. Gildarts picked up the book before walking over to Syra. Gildarts looked her over with a sigh before he picked her up tenderly and walked back toward Magnolia Town. During the walk, Syra passed out.

Meanwhile

Levy had spent her time in the library while Syra was out on her job. As she was heading back to the Guild Hall, The village around her shifted and opened a direct pathway to the Guild Hall. As Levy looked around, She saw Gildarts walking toward her. As she ran toward him, Levy's smiled turned into a look of dread as she realised he was carrying Syra.

" Gildarts... What... What happened to Syra? " Levy spoke shakily as tears formed in her eyes.

" She was dive bombed by a Wyvern. Managed to kill it though. The Client was dead when we arrived. " Gildarts spoke calmly as he continued to walk toward the Guild Hall.

" Why did she take a job to deal with a Wyvern? That was an S-Class job! " Levy spoke with disappointment and concern in her voice as a look of shock appeared on Gildarts face.

" The better question is why she was allowed to leave the Guild with it. I'll be speaking with Mirajane about this. " Gildarts spoke gruffly as they entered the Guild Hall.

Within seconds of the door opening, Erza and Mirajane were standing in front of Gildarts with a look of shock on their faces. As he walked past, Gildarts shot a glance at Mirajane that said they needed to talk. After carrying Syra to the Medical Room, Gildarts walked back to the bar with a look of disappointment on his face. When he sat down, Mirajane immediately spoke.

" Gildarts I... " Mirajane was cut off as Gildarts spoke.

" How was she able to leave the Guild with an S-Class job listing? How? " Gildarts looked at Mirajane with disappointment in his eyes as she looked away nervously.

" I... I don't quite know... I didn't even know there was an S-Class job for a Wyvern... It wasn't there when I put today's listings on the board... " Mirajane spoke with sorrow and regret in her voice but paused before speaking again. " It shouldn't have been on the board down here... But... Gildarts I am sorry... It wasn't in the pile of job requests I put up... I don't know how it got there. " Mirajane's eyes filled with tears as she looked toward the Medical Room as Makarov's voice filled the hall.

" Because I put it there. I was positive that Syra would be the first to see it. Even Natsu and Lucy didn't notice it when they took a job before Syra. But I knew she wouldn't miss it. " Master Makarov spoke calmly before Gildarts, Mirajane and Erza rounded on him. As they motioned to speak, Master Makarov spoke first. " Ofcourse I had a reason. When she first came here she hit me with magic that was beyond the power of anyone else in the Guild. And then she got stronger during the fight with Natsu. Levy being in danger awoke her Dragon Force. She is quite seriously the most powerful wizard in Fairy Tail right now. I put that S-Class job on the board to test Syra's physical strength and durability. Now quiet down you runts. Let Syra rest in peace and quiet. " Makarov took a swig of booze but nearly choked on it as Erza and Mirajane loomed over him with death stares that made him shiver as they spoke in unison.

" How dare you endanger our precious little sister. There will be consequences for this. " Erza and Mirajane menacing glares burned holes in Makarov's constitution as beads of sweat rolled down his face. As he regained his composure, Cana spoke loudly.

" Syra shouldn't be taking S-Class jobs! That was incredibly dangerous! " Cana spoke disappointingly as Levy cried softly.

" Why would she be this reckless? Why? I told her to be careful! She said she would be careful! " Levy slammed her fists onto the table with a look of sadness and disappointment on her face as Porlyusica walked out of the nearby door that lead to the medical wing before speaking calmly.

" Her injuries have been mended but she remains unconscious. I am unsure when she will wake up but she is no longer in any pain. " Porlyusica walked toward the bar and sat down as Levy stood and ran into the Medical Wing.

After several minutes, Levy walked out of the Medical Wing and sat down sadly as she spoke. " Why... Why was she so reckless... "

" To be fair Levy it is my fault that she got the quest to begin with. " Makarov spoke softly but fell silent as Levy glared at him.

" But it was her choice to take the job! And what did she get for it?! Pain and injuries! She promised me that she would be careful! " Levy sounded outraged before Gildarts spoke.

" Actually she got more than that. This book was in the possession of the woman that posted the job. She was killed by the Wyvern but if the inscription on the inside of the front cover is true, She was a member of a family that guarded this book for generations. I can't read anything beyond that. The language is unfamiliar to me. " Gildarts spoke calmly before handing the book to Levy and walking out of the Guild Hall as the sound of machinery filled the air.

" Such a pain it must be for the village to shift every time he comes here. If only he didn't crash through everything in his path. " Makarov spoke calmly but sighed softly as Mirajane giggled softly.

" That's Gildarts. One man demolition crew. " Mirajane giggled softly as Makarov sighed again. As Mirajane motioned to speak, Levy gasped loudly and stepped away from the table she had been sitting at.

" This is... " Levy glared at the book cautiously as Mirajane walked over.

" Something wrong? " Mirajane spoke softly as Levy turned to her.

" Not wrong... Just... This book is... It is one of the four Alica Libri Signati. Ancient spell books containing forgotten magic. This book is beyond priceless! The woman offering the job must have been a member of one of the families that make up the society of mages charged with protecting these tomes. They were called the Consilium Crepusculum. Twilight Council if you speak the language. They were a society of mages that guarded powerful relics. The job posting must have been a test to find a worthy inheritor for the ancient magic in the spell book. If legends hold true, The four spell books can't be destroyed by any magical or non magical means and are handed down by families within the Twilight Council as family heirlooms until a worthy mage is found to master the magic. " Levy sighed softly as she flipped through the pages of the spell book before Mirajane spoke softly.

" Is the magic in it dangerous? " Mirajane looked at the book carefully as Levy shrugged.

" I won't know until I decipher it. The language in the book is ancient... I have never seen symbols like these before. It just looks like lines and dots to me. I'll see if I can find anything in my books to try and translate it. " Levy picked up the book and walked toward the door as Mirajane spoke.

" You aren't going to stay with Syra? " Mirajane smiled sweetly as Levy stopped and spoke sternly.

" I am very angry with her right now. It's best if I do something constructive until she wakes up so I can calm down properly. " Levy left the Guild Hall quietly as Mirajane sighed softly.

One Week Later

Syra yawned softly as she awoke slowly. As she sat up, She noticed Levy sitting beside her with her head resting on the edge of the bed. After a moment, Syra kissed Levy's head gently before getting out of bed and leaving the medical wing. As she walked through the door, The Guild Hall fell silent. After a few seconds, A joyful roar filled the hall. Everyone that was in the hall smiled brightly as Erza and Mirajane ran over to Syra and hugged her gently.

" Don't scare us like that! We were so worried. " Erza spoke happily as she tousled Syra's hair gently.

Mirajane sighed happily before stepping back and clearing her throat before a look of disappointment appeared on her face and she spoke with a tone of voice that sent a shiver down Syra's spine. " What were you thinking taking an S-Class job?! Those jobs are for S-Class Mages only! And I was unaware there was an S-Class job on the board at all! Why didn't you speak to me first?! "

" I... I didn't want to trouble you... I knew I could handle it so... " Syra fell silent and looked down nervously as Mirajane spoke again.

" Don't you ever do that again! Even though I know it was Master Makarov that put the job on the board, It doesn't make it okay that you took it without telling me. You won't be going on any jobs that I don't personally approve. Am I clear?! " Mirajane spoke in a tone that demanded understanding before Syra nodded silently. After a moment, Mirajane pulled Syra into a very tender hug as she spoke in her usual caring, Kind and gentle tone of voice. " I am sorry to sound so mad but you really scared us. We have all been so worried about you. "

Syra blushed lightly and sighed softly as Mirajane held her. " I am sorry I worried you. I didn't mean to be such a burden. "

" Just don't scare us again. For the moment however, You have much bigger concerns. " Mirajane stepped back and turned her head to look at the door of the medical wing. As Syra turned around, Levy stormed up to her and slapped her, Causing Syra to fall over as Levy turned away in a huff before running out of the Guild Hall with tears streaming down her face. As Syra touched her stinging cheek, Tears formed in her eyes.

" Levy... What... " Syra fell to her knees in shock as the sting on her cheek intensified slightly.

" Levy was more scared and worried than any of us. She thought she was going to lose you. " Mirajane spoke sadly as a look of shock etched onto Syra's face before she stood and ran out of the guild hall and toward Fairy Hills.

Syra burst through the doors of Fairy Hills before running to the door of Levy's room and knocking on it gently. After knocking on the door, Syra spoke with sadness in her voice as she pleaded with Levy. " Levy please... Please let me in... I am sorry I scared you... I didn't mean to... Please... "

After a moment, Levy's voice came from behind the door. " You told me you would be careful. You said I didn't have to worry. I have done nothing but worry about you all week. I was so scared that you wouldn't wake up. Why didn't you tell any of us... Why didn't you tell me about that job?! ME?! " Levy spoke shakily as tears flowed down her cheeks before she opened the door and hugged Syra tightly. " I was so scared Syra... Don't ever scare me like that... Don't ever leave me behind again... "

" Never again Levy... Never... But I needed to do this... I don't know why but I just felt like I needed to do it. I am so sorry I scared you. I promise I will make this up to you. " Syra held Levy lovingly as she spoke. After a moment, Levy stepped back. As Syra motioned to speak, Levy slapped her again.

" That's for scaring me idiot! " Levy sobbed for a moment before pulling Syra forward and kissing her passionately. After a moment, Levy once again stepped back. " And that's for coming back to me. "

Syra rubbed her cheek gently as she smiled and hugged Levy again tightly as the two stood in the doorway of their room. After a few minutes they walked back to the Guild Hall. As they entered, Erza spoke softly. " I don't think Levy would have forgiven anyone else that fast... "

" Levy doesn't love and adore anyone else that much. " Mirajane smiled sweetly as Levy and Syra sat down at the bar as Levy spoke.

" I mean it Syra, You aren't going on any jobs without me again. You and I are a team. " Levy put her arms around Syra and held her lovingly as she rested her head on Syra's shoulder.

After a lot of hugs and apologies, Levy and Syra left the Guild Hall and walked toward the main gate of Magnolia Town. As they walked, Levy stopped every so often and bought small food items like Bread, Cheese, Fruit, Sweet Tarts, A bottle of juice and a picnic blanket for putting the food on. After leaving the Town, Levy and Syra walked happily toward the small, serene sanctuary in the forest.

When they arrived, Levy set the blanket down and spread out the food. The fresh bread was still warm as they tore small pieces off of the loaf. The cheese was soft and had a rich, creamy taste. The fruit consisted of Apples, Grapes, Oranges and Pears.

As they ate, Syra reached for a sweet tart. As she was about to pick one up, Levy slapped her hand gently. " Syra! You can't have sweets until you finish lunch! "

Levy smiled as Syra giggled happily. After eating lunch, Levy handed a sweet tart to Syra and smiled as Syra sighed happily at the look of it.

The tart was made of a thin, Hand made, Sweet, Shortcrust pastry and was filled with a rich looking caramel that had a layer of custard underneath it and was topped with strawberry slices. Syra stared at it for a moment before biting into it. As she bit into the little tart, Syra sighed happily at the rich caramel flavour and sweet custard with the refreshing strawberry slices.

" I could eat these tarts every day... They are so yummy! " Syra smiled as Levy giggled happily. After finishing the sweet tarts, Syra sighed contently before laying back on the grass and looking up at the sky. After a moment, Levy moved over and laid next to Syra while resting her head on Syra's chest.

" It's a beautiful day today... " Levy sighed happily as she nuzzled Syra's cheek lovingly.

" Yes it is... Levy... Will you come for a swim with me? " Syra tilted her head slightly and glanced at Levy.

As she spoke, Levy blushed brightly." I... I didn't bring my swimsuit... " Levy stopped speaking and blushed bright red as Syra stood up and took her clothes off.

" Neither did I... But that hasn't stopped me yet... " Syra blushed brightly as Levy watched her walk into the little lake and disappear under the water. After a moment, Syra reappeared in the middle of the small lake and sighed happily.

" Are you going to join me Levy or am I going to be swimming alone? " Syra smiled but blushed brightly as Levy got undressed and dived into the water before swimming over to Syra and popping up right in front of her. Levy blushed lightly and smiled before Syra moved forward quickly and kissed Levy gently before disappearing under the water again.

Nightfall

" That was wonderful. Thank you for spending today with me Levy. " Syra spoke softly as they walked through Magnolia Town's main gate. As Syra finished speaking, Levy stopped walking and looked at Syra as she spoke.

" Thank you for coming back to me. I was so scared when you left for that job on your own and I thought I was going to lose you when I saw Gildarts carrying you back to the Guild. I couldn't take it... I didn't mean to slap you Syra, I was just so... " Levy turned away as tears formed in her eyes. After a moment, Syra walked up to Levy and wrapped her arms around her lovingly.

" You were scared and worried. I shouldn't have left you behind Levy and I am so sorry for that. From now on, You and I will only go on jobs together. I won't leave you behind again Levy. I promise. " Syra smiled as Levy smiled brightly before hugging Syra lovingly. After a few minutes, The two returned to their room in Fairy Hills and went to bed.

The Next Day

Syra and Levy awoke slowly and exchanged a tender kiss before stretching slowly, getting out of bed and getting dressed. As they walked through the doors of the Guild Hall, Syra saw Erza arguing with Gildarts.

" I am going to train her Gildarts! That was not a request! " Erza had a look of outrage on her face before Gildarts spoke.

" How do you even know she wants to learn to fight like you? Maybe she wants to learn from me! Doesn't matter anyway. Anything regarding Syra has to go through Mira now. " Gildarts spoke calmly but with a tone of disinterest as Erza growled in frustration.

" She is my little sister Gildarts. I plan on training her and you are doing everything you can to try and stop me! " Erza crossed her arms impatiently as Gildarts spoke again.

" Dunno what your talking about. I simply said that anything regarding Syra must go through Mirajane. No exceptions. " Gildarts shrugged before continuing.

" Don't patronise me Gildarts! I know that! But I fully intend on training her! Mira will back me up! Won't you Mira? " Erza spoke impatiently before turning to Mirajane who didn't respond but was looking past Erza where Syra stood, Seething with rage.

As Erza motioned to speak again, Syra's voice erupted through the Guild Hall.

" WILL YOU JUST SHUT IT! I AM NOT SOME POSSESSION THAT YOU IDIOTS CAN FIGHT OVER! I WILL DECIDE FOR MYSELF WHAT I DO AND WHEN I DO IT! " Syra stormed out of the Guild Hall with Levy close behind her as looks of shock appeared on Erza and Gildarts faces.

" Now you've done it. Real smooth you two. " Mirajane spoke with a tone of disappointment as Erza looked at the ground sheepishly.

" Yeah... That... Was not how I pictured this going... " Erza sighed heavily before sitting at the bar and placing her arms on the bar as she sighed in disappointment.

" Gildarts is correct however. You will not submit Syra to anything nor will you take any action toward her without my express permission. Is that clear? " Mirajane spoke calmly with a smile before Erza nodded silently.

After a moment, Gildarts spoke calmly. " Mirajane, Would you mind terribly if I wanted to teach Syra? "

" Teach her? Teach her what? " Mirajane had a blank look on her face as Gildarts smirked.

" Teach her Magic of course. " Gildarts chuckled softly as Mirajane sighed softly.

" She already knows Magic, Gildarts. She is a Dragon Slayer... Technically... " Mirajane spoke softly before Erza spoke.

" I don't think that is accurate. While she does indeed seem to use Dragon Slayer Magic, Her Magic doesn't originate the same way that other Dragon Slayers Magic does. Her magic seems to be... Well... Honestly I really don't know but her magic is different to say... Natsu's. Natsu is a Dragon Slayer but Syra... She just has a different energy about her. " Erza spoke calmly but with a tone of confusion before Mirajane responded.

" You think she might be something else entirely don't you? " Mirajane smiled but sighed softly as Erza nodded.

" Time will tell. Until then we owe her an apology. She is right. We shouldn't fight over her and not ask her what she wants. " Erza sighed softly as she looked toward Gildarts.

" Yeah... We screwed up. We need to ask her what she wants and what she needs. We shouldn't try to decide for her. We have your permission to train her Mira? " Gildarts turned to Mirajane as she responded.

" Yes. But if I am unhappy with what you teach her, I will intervene. " Mirajane spoke sternly but smiled as Gildarts and Erza nodded.

Meanwhile

" Who do they think they are? Talking about me like I am just an object for them to use! " Syra walked quickly through Magnolia Town with a look of frustration on her face as Levy walked beside her.

" I am sure they didn't mean for it to sound that way Syra. Maybe we should go back and talk to them about it. " Levy smiled slightly but sighed as Syra shook her head.

" No. I don't want to hear what they have to say. They sound just like my father. Like I am nothing but a possession to be used whenever they see fit. " Syra walked quickly out of Magnolia Towns front gate as Levy stopped and spoke sternly.

" Syra stop. Please. " Levy sighed softly as Syra stopped walking and turned to face her. " You know Erza only wants what is best for you and I am sure Gildarts was trying to convince her that she isn't the only person that feels that way. But we don't know the whole story. We only heard a part of the conversation. Come back with me. Please?

" But..." Syra spoke sadly but sighed as Levy walked forward and hugged her lovingly.

" I know Syra. I know. " Levy kissed Syra's cheek gently before stepping back and looking back toward the Guild Hall. " Just come back with me. If only to hear what Gildarts and Erza have to say. They wouldn't argue like that without a good reason. "

Syra sighed uncomfortably but nodded silently before following Levy back toward the Guild Hall as she whispered softly. " I can't refuse you... Even if I wanted to... "

A Few Minutes Later

" Now then. Levy has convinced me that I should hear you out. But don't think that I forgive you for fighting over me earlier. I am not some object you can just use of your own volition. Now talk. " Syra had a look of impatience on her face as she finished speaking. After a moment, Levy put her arms around Syra.

" Be nice Syra. There is no need to be uncivilised. " Levy rested her chin on Syra's shoulder as she sighed softly.

" I am sorry Erza... It has been a very trying few days... " Syra sighed sheepishly as Erza smiled and nodded.

" No harm done. Now then, As I was saying to Gildarts, Your ability to complete that S-Class job has made me realise that while you are very strong, You do still need to be formally trained. Both in magic and combat. While I can teach you hand to hand and weaponry... " Erza paused as Gildarts spoke.

" I can teach you control of your magic and a few other tricks I have picked up along the way. Mirajane has agreed to let us train you under her supervision but I am sure she has some things to teach you as well. " Gildarts grinned as Mirajane giggled softly. " But the training won't be easy kid. It will hurt and it will take patience. Any objections? "

Syra sighed softly before turning her head slightly to gaze at Levy out of the corner of her eye. As Levy noticed Syra glancing at her, She spoke softly before kissing Syra's cheek gently. " It's okay. I will be right there with you all the way. "

Syra smiled and sighed in relief before turning back to Gildarts and shaking her head gently. " Good show. For today it might be best to let Syra do her own thing. Training starts tomorrow if we are all in agreement? "

Syra, Erza and Mirajane nodded before Gildarts spoke again. " Champion. For now, I'd love a solid drink. "

As Gildarts drank, Erza spoke to Mirajane about the bakery that made enchanted cakes. Syra sighed softly and rested her head against the bar as Levy smiled. After a moment, Levy moved in front of Syra and tilted her head up before kissing her lightly. " See? Hearing them out wasn't so bad was it? "

" Maybe not... But I want you with me Levy. I don't want to do this alone. " Syra looked longingly into Levy's eyes as she spoke.

" And you won't. I said I will be right there with you and I will be. I promise. " Levy smiled before kissing Syra lovingly.

After a few hours of talking, Levy and Syra walked out of the guild and to their room in Fairy Hills before getting undressed and going to bed.

The Next Day

As Mirajane went about her daily routine, She heard Levy's voice echo into the Guild Hall from outside. As Mirajane walked around the bar, Other Guild Members stood and walked toward the door with curiosity on their faces as. " Stop it Erza! That's enough! "

" Your hurting her idiot! You said you would teach her. How is this teaching her! " Levy shouted loud and clear as the Guild Members walked outside. As they stepped out into the fading light of sunset, They saw Erza holding Syra to the ground with one arm pinned behind her back and the other arm held outstretched to her side as she struggled against Erza's grip.

" Syra needs to learn proper hand to hand combat and take down manuevers Levy. While I don't mean to hurt her, She must learn that if it gets to the point of her being pinned to the ground, Everything that comes next is going to hurt more. Now then... " Erza stood up and helped Syra to her feet before continuing. " Again. This time be mindful of your opponents movement. "

Syra groaned softly as she stretched her arm before lunging and striking at Erza as fast as she could. As she jumped and tried to kick Erza in the head, Erza seized her ankle. Syra had barely a second to gasp in surprise before she was hurled across the area like a rag doll. As she hit the ground, Mirajane spoke softly.

" Don't push her too hard Erza. She is still young. " Mirajane had a look of concern on her face as Syra ran forward and attempted to tackle Erza. As she lunged, Erza caught her by the head and held her off the ground effortlessly.

" Is learning supposed to be easy? " Erza spoke calmly before tossing Syra to the ground again.

As Syra hit the ground this time, She groaned softly as her shoulder made a small popping noise. " Ugh... That's not good... " Syra spoke with pain and groaned loudly as Levy gasped and ran to her side.

As Erza motioned to move, Mirajane slapped her over the head. " I told you not to push her! Now she is hurt! "

Erza rushed over to Syra and panicked slightly as she spoke. " Syra I am so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you! "

" I'll live... But... Next time I'll put you on your ass big sister. Just you wait. " Syra smiled devilishly as Erza petted her head gently.

" Someone needs to give this girl a medal. Or a stiff drink. " Cana giggled as she spoke and turned around before walking back into the Guild Hall.

" Someday you will be stronger than me. For now though... Syra you are just too cute. " Erza sighed cutely and giggled as Syra and Levy walked inside.

" She might not put you on your ass anytime soon Erza but keep causing her pain and I will have to punish you for it. " Mirajane spoke calmly with a smile before seizing the front of Erza's armour and pulling her body against her before she winked devilishly as Erza blushed brightly. After a moment, Mirajane let go of Erza's armour and walked inside, Leaving Erza standing outside blushing uncontrollably.

After a few moments, Erza managed to regain her composure and walked into the Guild Hall. As she walked over to the bar and moved to sit down, She fell to the floor and groaned softly as a small voice whispered into her ear.

" Told you so. " Syra smirked playfully before dropping the bar stool onto the floor as Erza smiled brightly.

As she sat down again, Syra groaned softly as her shoulder throbbed. As Levy panicked and tried to figure out what to do, Erza stood up as Porlyusica walked over and held Syra's arm gently.

" I have to warn you Syra, This is really going to hurt. " Erza spoke softly before she put her arms around Syra and held her tightly.

" On the count of three yes? " Porlyusica spoke softly and held Syra's arm tightly as Syra shook her head.

" N... No wait a second! " Syra struggled in Erza's arms but to no avail as Porlyusica spoke calmly.

" One..." Porlyusica barely said the word before pulling on Syra's arm hard. Syra's shoulder made a loud popping noise before a look of indescribable pain appeared on her face.

After a second, Syra gasped painfully and looked up at Porlyusica with a frustrated look on her face. " You bitch! You said on the count of three! "

As Syra whimpered in pain, Erza loosened her grip and hugged Syra gently. " Sorry Syra. It had to be done. " Erza kissed Syra's forehead gently before Syra nodded slightly.

" Your welcome. " Porlyusica spoke calmly before walking away as she whispered under her breathe. " Filthy human. " As Levy began fussing over Syra incessantly, She noticed Porlyusica looking at Syra with a strange expression on her face before she turned and continued toward the Medical Room.

" Syra are you okay? Do you need anything? What about a sling or a pillow or..." Levy fell silent as Syra pulled her close and kissed her gently.

" Levy I am alright. I love that you can fuss over me with no effort but I am alright. I promise. Just sit with me. That's all I need. " Syra smiled as Levy sighed and sat down next to her.

" Erza should know better. She shouldn't hurt you... " Levy spoke with a nervous and concerned tone of voice as Erza sat down next to Syra.

" Like I said I didn't mean to hurt her. Training isn't easy or painless though. " Erza spoke with a tone of experience before she sighed softly. " That being said... I am sorry about your shoulder little sister. "

" It's alright Erza. It really, Really hurt but... I won't really learn if you go easy on me will I? " Syra smiled as Erza smiled and petted Syra's head as a look of adoration appeared on her face.

" That you will not. But we will make a fighter out of you yet sweetheart. " Erza smiled brightly as Syra nodded with a smile before Erza stood and walked away.

After a few more minutes of Levy fussing over Syra, The two walked to Fairy Hills and went to bed for the night.

The Next Day

Syra woke up slowly and kissed Levy deeply before getting out of bed and getting dressed into her mage armour. As she was about to leave, Levy woke up and stretched out slowly before smiling as Syra sat on the bed. " Syra... Can't we just stay in bed and snuggle all day... I don't wanna get up... " Levy giggled but gasped as Syra pushed her back onto the pillow and laid on top of her gently.

As Levy blushed brightly, Syra peppered kisses along her jawline and neck before whispering in Levy's ear. " I would love that... But I do need to do some jobs so I can afford rent. I can't expect you to pay for me to live here Levy. "

" But... What if I want to... " Levy whimper softly as Syra licked her neck playfully.

" I love you Levy but I need to be able to contribute. I don't want to be a burden... " Syra gasped loudly as Levy flipped her onto her back and laid on top of her.

" Don't say that! You are not a burden to me! You... " Levy paused as she realised Syra was squirming slightly. " Syra are you okay? "

" L... Levy... Your hands... " Syra whimpered softly as Levy realised she had her hands on Syra's breasts. Levy gasped loudly before sitting up and moving her hands quickly as Syra whimpered softly.

" I'm sorry Syra! I didn't mean to! " Levy blushed brightly but gasped as Syra seized her pyjama top and pulled her back down before wrapping her arms around Levy and kissing her passionately. After a few moments, Syra broke the kiss, Leaving Levy breathless.

" I... I don't mind... It... It just surprised me that's all... " Syra blushed brightly as Levy placed her hands on Syra's stomach gently.

" You don't... You really don't mind? " Levy sighed softly and blushed as Syra shook her head. As Levy slowly started moving her hands up, Syra seized Levy's wrists gently.

" I really would love to let you do what you want with me Levy... But I don't think I would be able to stop if we started... Can... " Syra glanced away nervously for a moment before sitting up and speaking softly. " Levy I love you and I want you but... Can... Can we do this later? I... I really don't think I would be able to stop... "

Levy blushed brightly as Syra whimpered softly. " Y... Yes... Yes we can do this later... " Levy smiled and pressed a tender kiss to Syra's lips before getting off of Syra and getting changed out of her pyjamas.

As Syra stood up and took a deep breathe as the sensation of Levy's touch still tingled across her skin, Levy giggled softly. After a moment, Syra smiled as Levy put her arms around her. " I love you so much Syra. With all of my heart. "

" I love you to Levy. With all of my heart. " Syra pressed another passionate kiss to Levy's lips before sighing contently and walking toward the door.

" Back to work for now yes? " Levy smiled but blushed lightly as she looked away nervously.

" I promise you can finish what you started when we get home tonight. But I really do need to do a job today. " Syra smiled as Levy smiled brightly and nodded happily before the two of them left Fairy Hills and walked toward the Guild Hall.

As they walked in, Mirajane ran over to them and spoke to Syra. " Syra! You have a job request! "

" They asked for me specifically? " Syra had a look of confusion on her face as Mirajane nodded.

" That's right! A small village west of here would like your help with bandits that have been raiding their homes. They have had no issue with giving the bandits money but yesterday the bandits kidnapped a young girl. The story of your fight with Salamander has spread all over Fiore and the villagers are confident that the bandits will listen to you. They are offering a substantial reward for your help. " Mirajane smiled brightly as Levy spoke.

" An official request Syra! It's very rare that a job requests a specific Mage! You are going to help right?! " Levy looked at Syra longingly before Syra turned to Mirajane.

" I'll take the job. I'd like Erza and Levy to come with me if that's okay? " Syra smiled brightly as Mirajane nodded and walked toward Erza. As Syra turned to Levy, Levy wrapped her arms around Syra and hugged her tightly.

" I am so happy that you want me to come to Syra. " Levy smiled brightly as she stepped back a bit.

" I promised you didn't I? " Syra smiled as Levy blushed lightly and nodded before Erza walked over and spoke.

" So we have a job to do. Bandits. Are you two ready to go? " Erza smiled as Levy and Syra nodded and they left the Guild Hall. As they walked through the main gate of Magnolia Town, Erza took out a map and scanned it for the village the job gave directions to. " Looks like the village is only about an hour away. Let's get moving. " Erza smiled before heading west with Syra and Levy in tow.

An Hour Later

" Papa... Papa! She's here! " A little girl shouted loudly and ran toward the front of the village as several other children chased after her. As they watched and sighed in wonder, Syra, Levy and Erza walked past them. " Wow... She is so pretty... "

The children smiled brightly as Syra stopped and said hello to them as the village elder walked toward them. As Syra stood, The elder spoke calmly.

" Thank you so very much for coming. We heard of your strength against the mage Salamander and knew you were the one to help us. We welcome any help your comrades can offer too ofcourse. " The elder smiled happily as Syra spoke.

" I apologise for the wait. Can you tell me anything important about the bandits? " Syra listened carefully as the elder explained.

" As far as bandits go, These appear to be very well organised. When they attacked the village, Their tactics almost seemed military. The leader had a deep voice and wore a skull shaped helmet that covered most of his face. Other than that... Please you must help us... They took one of the children as a hostage to make us do what they want. We can't risk acting against them openly. " The elder sighed sadly but smiled as Syra placed a hand on his shoulder.

" If we didn't intend to help, We would not have come. Do you know where the bandits make camp? " Syra spoke soothingly before the elder nodded.

" There is an old ruin in the forest nearby. That is where they usually camp. " The elder looked at Syra with hope in his eyes as she spoke.

" I will go and speak with the bandits. Perhaps we can come to an understanding without the need for violence but I promise you, I will bring the child back no matter what the bandits do. " Syra smiled and turned to walk toward the forest as a little girl with bright green eyes and long black hair tugged at the hem of her outfit.

" You'll save my big sister right? Please? " The little girl cried softly as she continued. " Sis didn't do anything! They took her while we were playing hide and seek! Please save her! Please! " The little girl sobbed as Syra petted her head gently.

" Now don't worry. I'll help your sister. I promise. " Syra smiled as the little girl nodded and ran back to her mother. " I need you all to wait here. Erza will stay behind to keep you safe while I am gone. " Syra turned to Erza who nodded sternly before walking into the village as Syra and Levy walked toward the forest.

As they walked through the forest, Syra whispered softly to Levy. " They are following us. I can smell them in the trees. Stay alert but make it look like you don't know they are there. "

Levy looked around slowly but avoided looking at the trees as a hooded figure jumped down and landed in front of them. " Surrender! We have you surrounded! "

" I know you do. I have known you were there since we entered the forest. But we didn't come here to fight. We would like to speak with your leader please. Can you take us to him? " Syra spoke calmly and politely as a look of bewilderment appeared in the bandits eyes before he turned and motioned for them to follow him. After a few minutes, They walked into an open area that had the remains of a ruined building scattered around the area. As they entered a large tent, They saw the little girl, A girl with bright blue eyes and deep crimson hair, Standing next to a throne with a collar around her neck. Attached to the collar was a chain being held by a brutish looking man wearing what appeared to be the skull of some kind of animal as a helmet. As he spoke, The little girl winced slightly.

" Who the hell are you two? What do you want? " The man pulled the chain slowly, Forcing the girl to her knees as Syra spoke.

" We came to negotiate the release of your prisoner. If you would be willing to speak with me, I am sure we can come to an arrangement. " Syra smiled sweetly before the leader snorted gruffly and motioned to a guard with his free hand. The guard drew his sword and placed the tip against Syra's throat before gasping softly and looking down. Syra's sword was pointed directly at his groin. As he gulped slowly, Syra spoke calmly. " I really do have no wish to fight. Can we not talk about this? "

" Fighting is the only talking I do fool. Fight or die. Simple. " The leader laughed as he yanked the chain hard, Dragging the little girl to his feet roughly as she cried out in pain.

" Let it never be said I didn't give you a chance. " Syra smiled before kicking backwards into the guards stomach, Sending him spiralling out of the tent quickly as the guards in front of them rushed forward, Spears pointed at Syra. Syra blocked the spears with her sword before spinning and slashing the guards across the chest. As the leader looked toward her with shock, Syra spoke with ferocity in her voice. " Seeing as you won't negotiate, Let me put this a different way. Let her go... And I will leave your head attached to your body. Refuse and I will burn your entire camp to ash and take her. I'll give you three seconds. "

As the leader stood, He groaned loudly and looked down to see Syra's sword piercing his heart. As he fell back onto the throne he had been sitting on, Syra moved forward and gripped the hilt of her blade.

Syra leant forward and whispered softly. " Three. " Syra pulled her sword out of the leaders chest as his body went limp and the chain fell away from his hand. After removing the restraints from the little girl, Syra hugged her gently and petted her head soothingly. " You are alright now. You don't have to be scared anymore. "

" They... They were going to use me... They kept saying I would be a toy for them if anyone tried to help me... They said they were going to hurt me and send pieces of me to my mother if I tried to escape... I was so scared... " The little girl nuzzled Syra's chest gently as Syra held her.

" You are safe now. We won't let them hurt you. Their leader can't hurt you now. " Syra smiled but her smile faded as the little girl spoke.

" He wasn't the leader. That man is. " She pointed toward the entrance of the tent where Syra saw a thin looking man holding a blade to Levy's throat with her arm pinned against her back. As Syra stood, The man spoke calmly.

" Indeed I am. It seems my plan to lure you here worked quite well. And now I have a far more important prisoner than a village rat. A pity you had to kill my brother but he always was a little slow. " The man grinned evilly as he pressed the blade against Levy's throat, Causing her to sigh slightly as Syra spoke calmly.

" Let them go. I will surrender. Just let them go. " Syra dropped her sword and held her hands up in a defensive manner as she slowly lowered herself to her knees. " Please. Let them go. "

" Certainly. But you mistake my intent. I do not want to take you prisoner. " The man pushed Levy aside before throwing the blade at Syra, A sickening sound filling the air as it pierced her chest.

" NO! SYRA! " Levy screamed loudly as she looked toward Syra as tears formed in her eyes.

As the little girl ran to Levy, The man walked over to Syra and chuckled maliciously. " So gullible. You didn't even see it coming. "

" Neither did you. " Syra spoke softly before the man groaned in pain as Syra's sword pierced his stomach. " You should pay better attention. " Syra glared at him with ferocity as she twisted the handle of her sword slowly. As the man groaned in pain, Syra pulled the sword upwards, Tearing the blade through flesh and bone alike as it cut from the bandits stomach up through the top of his left shoulder. As he fell backwards, Syra groaned softly before falling sideways and breathing slowly.

Levy rushed to Syra's side as tears fell down her face. " No... No, No, No! Stay with me Syra! Please! " Levy cried softly as Syra's eyes fluttered shut slowly.

Some Time Later

Syra groaned softly as a gentle voice filled her ears. " Easy... You are still recovering. Take things slow. My name is Vivienne. I have been tending to your wound. "

Syra sat up slowly as her vision focused. Sitting at the edge of the bed she was in was a young woman with bright green eyes and long black hair. As Syra motioned to speak, Levy burst into the room and knelt beside Syra's bed with tears running down her face.

" Thank goodness you are awake. I thought I lost you... " Levy cried softly as Syra cupped her face and leant her forehead against Levy's.

" You can't get rid of me that easily Levy. " Syra smiled before kissing Levy softly. After a moment, Syra swung her legs over the edge of the bed and stood up shakily. As Syra stood fully, Her legs gave out and she fell backwards slightly before Levy caught her and supported her with a bright smile as they walked out of the room. As the door of the small house they were in opened, Syra saw the whole village gathered around with all sorts of different items in their hands. Some held fresh fruit in decorative bowls, Others had flowers, Some had pieces of fine cloth and the children all had drawings or paintings of Syra. As tears welled up in Syra's eyes, She gasped loudly before speaking.

" The little girl... Is she safe?! " Syra scanned the crowd for a moment before the little girl she had rescued walked forward and hugged her gently.

" I am thanks to you. Thank you so much for saving me. " The little girl smiled up at Syra happily as Syra sighed in relief. After a moment, Vivienne spoke.

" Yes. Thank you for saving my daughter. " Vivienne placed a hand on Syra's shoulder gently as Levy helped Syra walked out of the doorway and kneel on the ground as a second little girl ran forward and hugged her gently.

" Thank you so much for saving my big sister! " The little girl grinned happily as Syra smiled.

" I promised didn't I? " Syra smiled as the village elder walked toward her.

" You didn't just save one of our children. You saved us all. The bandits scattered when they found their leaders dead at your hands. Erza here also made short work of the ones that came to the village for revenge. " The elder smiled as Erza placed a hand on his shoulder. " These gifts are not much but we offer them as a token of our appreciation and thanks. I know we offered more, But this is all we have. "

" I need no reward. Your gratitude is enough. Please, Keep these gifts. You need them more than I. " Syra smiled as a look of admiration appeared on each villagers face before the elder smiled and spoke.

" Such a noble soul. Thank you. If there is anything we can ever do to repay the kindness you have shown you need only ask. " The elder smiled brightly as Syra spoke.

" You cared for me and helped heal my wound. There is nothing I could ask of you that you have not already given me. " Syra smiled brightly as the children ran forward and showed her the drawings they had made. As Syra took each drawing and thanked the children, They all hugged her gently. After a moment, Vivienne knelt down and spoke softly.

" I... I was wondering... Can I... Can I ask you for a favour? " Vivienne spoke softly and sighed as Syra nodded. " My two daughters... They have a great amount of admiration and respect for you. I... I am dying. I only have a few weeks left of life before I pass. You see, I have had a disease for many years. There is no cure. I want to make sure my daughters can protect themselves. Will... Will you take them back to Fairy Tail and teach them? Please? " Vivienne looked pleadingly at Syra.

Syra looked to Erza with a look of curiosity before Erza nodded quietly. After glancing at Levy, Who also nodded, Syra turned back to Vivienne and smiled.

" Fairy Tail is open to anyone seeking a home or a family. They would be more than welcome to come with us. " Syra smiled brightly as Vivienne sighed happily and hugged her gently.

" Thank you so much. The one you rescued from the bandits is named Amelia. The younger sister is Natalie. Give me a moment to tell them what is going on. " Vivienne smiled before calling out to the two girls, Who ran over to her happily.

" What's wrong? Mommy you look sad. " Natalie spoke softly as Vivienne smiled.

" I am not sad darling. I have something to tell you. From now on, Syra will be taking care of you. She is going to take you to Fairy Tail and teach you to use magic. " Vivienne smiled as Amelia spoke softly.

" But what is going to happen to you? " Amelia spoke shakily but sighed as Vivienne took her hand gently.

" You already know. My time has almost run out sweetheart. But I will always be watching over you. Go with Syra. Learn magic. And help others as she has helped you. " Vivienne smiled as tears welled up in Amelia and Natalie's eyes before they hugged Vivienne tightly. After several minutes, Levy helped Syra into a cart the villagers had prepared before helping Natalie and Amelia climb in. Erza and Levy sat at the front to control the reins as the horse slowly pulled the cart out of the village. Amelia and Natalie cried as they waved goodbye to the other villagers and their mother, Who smiled happily as they waved to her sadly. After the village had disappeared from view, Syra spoke softly.

" Don't worry girls. Your mother will always be watching over you just as my mother is always watching over me. " Syra smiled as the two girls wiped away their tears and nodded sadly. " You won't be alone girls. Fairy Tail is a family. We all care for and look out for each other. We will all help you learn and all take care of you. "

Syra smiled happily as the two girls shifted over to her and leant against her gently as Levy glanced back at them and smiled brightly.

The Next Day

After arriving back at Fairy Tail, Levy had taken Syra home to rest and Mirajane had kept an eye on Amelia and Natalie for the night. Levy left Syra in bed before kissing her gently and walking to the Guild Hall. As she entered, Levy heard Amelia arguing with Romeo.

" You are no match for me! I'm too strong for you! " Romeo grinned widely as a look of irritation appeared on Amelia's face.

" No you are not! I'm as strong as Syra! I can beat you any day! " Amelia pouted and turned away as Romeo scoffed playfully.

" Ha! You are still too little to be as strong as Syra! But I am as strong as my dad and he beat up nineteen monsters all on his own! I can beat you easy! " Romeo grinned as the Guild Members listening chuckled softly.

" I'll show you who can beat who! " Amelia tackled Romeo roughly and as the two rolled around the Guild Hall fighting, They knocked over chairs, Tables and broke several glasses. After a moment, Makarov spoke loudly.

" Knock it off you brats! Your making a mess! " Makarov had an irritated look on his face as Romeo and Amelia paused for a moment and poked their tongues out at him before continuing to fight, Making the mess larger and larger as they rumbled around the Guild Hall. As they rolled past Levy, They collided with Erza's legs, Knocking her to the ground. As Erza hit the ground with a loud thud, Romeo and Amelia froze, A look of terror on their faces. After standing up slowly, Erza turned and glared at them ferociously.

" You brats! When I catch you... " Erza reached out toward them as Amelia froze in fear and Romeo quickly ran to his father. As beads of sweat rolled down Amelia's face, Erza picked her up and hugged her tightly. " I am gonna hug you all day because you are just too cute! " Erza sighed happily as Amelia had a look of confusion on her face but giggled happily as she nuzzled Erza's cheek, Causing Erza to squeal in a very girly manner. As Erza placed Amelia back onto the ground and she ran off happily, Erza glared at the other Guild Members who were staring at her in disbelief as she spoke. " What are you fools staring at! "

The other Guild Members quickly turned away and trembled slightly as Erza huffed and walked to the bar. As she sat down, Mirajane spoke teasingly. " You really are quite sweet deep down aren't you Erza... "

As a look of irritation appeared on Erza's face, Mirajane seized the front of her armour and pulled her against the bar before pressing a soft, Delicate kiss to Erza's lips. As she pulled away, Mirajane spoke again. " I like that about you. Tough but sweet. "

As Erza blushed brightly, Amelia giggled from beside Erza, Who spun and glared at her menacingly, Causing Amelia to smile nervously and run over to Levy. As she stood behind Levy's legs, Amelia spoke softly.

" Erza is really scary... " Amelia trembled slightly as Levy petted her head gently.

" Scary... But she will always take care of you and protect you. She is one of the most amazing women I know. Now... Go find your sister. I'll ask Mira to make you two something to eat. " Levy smiled as Amelia hugged her leg tightly before running off to find Natalie. After a few minutes, Natalie and Amelia ran into the room and sat at an empty table as Mirajane put a plate of warm pancakes in front of them. As Amelia and Natalie drooled slightly and started eating, Mirajane smiled and spoke as Levy giggled softly.

" These two remind me so much of when Erza and I were kids. Little scamps always causing a mess and getting into trouble. " Mirajane giggled happily before walking back to the bar and talking to Erza as Levy smiled and watched the two young girls eat. As Levy motioned to stand, Natalie spoke.

" Levy? Is Syra gonna be okay? " Natalie had a worried look on her face as Levy smiled brightly.

" Ofcourse she is gonna be okay. Syra is very strong. She will get better before you know it. " Levy smiled as Natalie smiled and nodded happily before finishing off the last of her pancakes and hopping off the chair she was sitting on before running over to Romeo and tapping him on the head repeatedly in a playful manner. After a moment, A look of irritation appeared on Romeo's face as he started chasing her around the room.

A Few Hours Later

Syra tossed and turned slowly as pain surged through her chest. Breathing in anything more than short breathes was agony. As sweat trailed down her face, Levy walked in with a smile that quickly faded as she rushed to Syra's side.

" Syra? Syra... Are you okay? " Levy sighed with concern as she pulled the blanket back and unbuttoned Syra's shirt. As she opened Syra's shirt, Levy gasped loudly and ran out the room. As she burst into the Guild Hall, Everyone gasped in surprise and turned toward the door as Levy shouted. " WHERE IS PORLYUSICA?! "

" Keep your voice down. I am right here. " Porlyusica walked out of the Medical Room before smacking Levy on the head with a broom as she sighed irritably as Levy gasped painfully and started panting heavily as she talked.

" It's Syra... Her chest... Purple... " Levy breathed heavily while rubbing her head gently as Porlyusica, Erza and Mirajane ran out of the Guild Hall and toward Fairy Hills. As they entered Levy's room and rushed to Syra's side, Erza and Mirajane gasped loudly. Syra's chest, From her collarbone to slightly below her breasts was a deep purple and the wound in the middle of her chest was black and weepy.

" This is not good. " Porlyusica leant forward slightly and sniffed before moving back and coughing. " Poison. The wound is also infected. The stitches burst hours ago. I'll be back. " Porlyusica ran out of the room quickly and headed back to the Guild hall as Mirajane and Erza knelt beside Syra.

" Syra... Why didn't you tell us about this... " Mirajane bit her lip as tears welled up in her eyes before Syra groaned painfully. After a moment, Erza spoke.

" She probably didn't want us to worry... Damn it all Syra... You should have come to us before now... " Erza's voice trembled as Levy and Porlyusica rushed back into the room. As Mirajane and Erza moved aside, Porlyusica pulled the cork out of a dark coloured bottle and tipped the contents directly onto Syra's chest, Causing her to scream loudly.

" What are you doing?! It's hurting her! " Levy tried to rush forward but Erza and Mirajane held her back as they tried to keep the tears building up in their eyes from falling.

" It is necessary. The alcohol will cleanse the wound. Then I can start removing the infected flesh before taking a blood sample to identify the poison. You may not want to watch this. " As Porlyusica reached into her Medical Kit and took out a small sharp blade, Levy struggled as hard as she could but Erza and Mirajane dragged her out of the room as tears fell down their faces. After closing the door, Porlyusica set about removing the infected flesh.

As Levy struggled against Mirajane and Erza, Syra's screams of agony filled Fairy Hills and Levy fought harder with each scream that filled her ears. " Let me go! LET ME GO! IT'S HURTING HER! "

" Levy I am so sorry but... We just can't let you go in there... I am so sorry... " Mirajane cried heavily as she held Levy as tightly as she could.

" You don't want to watch this Levy... Please understand... " Erza's voice trembled as tears ran down her cheeks before another piercing scream echoed through the halls of Fairy Hills.

After roughly thirty minutes of screams and struggling, Levy yelled at the top of her lungs.

" LET ME GO DAMN YOU! I NEED TO BE WITH HER! LET ME GO! " Levy struggled with all her strength but fell silent as Syra's screams stopped. Levy stared at the door for any sign as her lip trembled. After a moment, The door opened and Porlyusica stepped out before closing the door quietly.

" She is resting. The poison was a mix of Wolfsbane and Nightshade. It would have been lethal if her immune system wasn't so damn fast. Her wound has been completely cleaned and restitched. I will come back before midnight to check her wound and re-bandage it. She is NOT to be moved until I say so. " Porlyusica spoke sternly before Levy spoke.

" Can I see her? Please? " Levy's gaze didn't move from the door as Porlyusica sighed and nodded before opening the door slowly as Erza and Mirajane let go of Levy and she rushed into the room to see Syra sleeping soundly with a damp cloth on her forehead.

" Keep the cloth damp to bring her temperature back to normal. If anything changes come and get me immediately. " Porlyusica motioned to walk out but stopped as Levy seized her arm and looked up at her with tears rolling down her cheeks.

" Thank you. Thank you for helping her. " Levy sobbed heavily as Porlyusica forced a smile and patted Levy's head roughly before leaving without a word as Erza and Mirajane stepped into the room. As Levy held Syra's hand gently and rested her head beside Syra's, Erza spoke.

" The three of us will watch over her in turns tonight. To make sure we notice any changes. I'll make some tea. " Erza walked out of the room and to the Fairy Hills kitchen before making a pot of hot tea.

As Mirajane cried softly, Syra whimpered painfully as Levy sobbed. " Please be okay Syra... Please... I can't lose you... You promised me... " Levy cried softly as Erza walked back into the room and set down a tea set gently before pouring out three cups of tea.
