Scienna rolled the small, dusty piece of chalk around in her palm. The cool chalk and dusty residue it left made her digits feel tacky and she made a face at the feeling, glancing down at the the subtle fallout it was leaning on her hands as well as the desktop. Slowly, she dropped the chalk and clapped her hands together a few times.

"WHERE IS HE???? This is BULLSHIT!" Naruto's voice was crass, and sounded just as annoyed as they all felt. Eying the blonde for a moment, she nodded her head in agreement.

"This is a bit ridiculous..." she mumbled, getting his attention. Naruto looked over at his new team mate and couldn't hold back his burst of anger.

"AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON YOU!" He screamed again, this time pointing at her and bearing his teeth. She sneered and Sasuke spoke up for the first time sense the teams had been assigned.

"Naruto..." He started, speaking from behind crossed hands resting in front of his mouth. "Watch what you say" Obsidian orbs glared down at the blonde. Naruto, in turn, bared his teeth even more and growled deeper, as if ready to fight. Sasukes hands tightened as he tensed, readying himself for Narutos attack.

"Not again..." Sakura whined from her place next to Scienna. "Why do they always do this?" The pinkette asked and Scienna just shook her head and shrugged, letting out a sigh.

"FUCK YOU AND YOUR GIRLFRIEND!"

"SHES NOT MY GIRLFRIEND, DOBE!"

"WELL YOU CAN BOTH FUCK OFF, I CANT STAND BEING ON A TEAM WITH YOU, TEME!"

Sakura watched as Scienna tensed when Naruto called her Sasukes girlfriend, had there last mission really thought the blonde nothing about the girl? Recalling there mission in Wave, Sakura couldn't help but wonder what it was that drove her to act so fearlessly in the face of the demonic chakra inside Naruto. Running between Haku's mirrors as they began to fade, she hugged the boy until he finally calmed down, melting in her arms. Scienna had been able to calm the beast inside Naruto, how crazy of him to not understand why.

Her brows knitted as her mind began to wander, there was no use trying to stop Naruto and Sasuke. Sakura couldn't understand, though, why they had been told to meet in there old classroom and not the bridge. Kakashi, who offered no explanation, simply told them to gather when the class let out for the day and he would explain there. A part of her wondered if they were going to be demoted. Her hands tightened at the thought. Could that really be what was happening? There mission had been a success, in every sense of the word. There's no possible way they could be here because they're in trouble, right?

But there was always the possibility...

Although they had finished there mission, there was a little voice in the back of Sakuras head telling her something was still off, she just couldn't place her finger on it.

"Naruto..." Scienna started, her melodic voice still. "Just stop" she insisted. Her tone was firm and the boy in question eyed her for a moment, as if sizing her up, before crossing his arms in front of his chest and huffing. Sakura rolled her eyes at such a childish act.

Sasuke, however, remained unbothered. His gaze transfixed on the window yet again, watching the kids play in the late afternoon sun. It was beginning to set now and the day was nearing its end, where the hell was Kakashi?

As if on que, the man in question casually slid the door open and stepped through the threshold.

Sakura was suddenly reminded of there first encounter with the Copy Cat Nin. How Naruto had actually managed to prank the world famous Kakashi. But then again stranger things have happened. Curious emerald eyes scanned the blonde for a moment, looking for something before returning to there sensei.

Long, slinger fingers tucked into a deep, royal blue glove pulled the door to the classroom shut ever so carefully, as if any extra sound would get them in trouble.

Scienna raised her brow and instinctually, her gaze moved to Sasuke, who was already giving her a knowing look. Without missing a beat she glanced to Naruto, whom had seemed to caught on, and to Sakura who was preforming handseals for a silencing jutsu.

Kakashi turned to look over his team for a moment, remaining silent as he checked to make sure Sakuras Silencing jutsu was adequate. After only a few moments he has deemed it well beyond acceptable and save a Sakura a small smile behind his mask.

"You really are becoming a remarkable ninja, Sakura" He praised her, causing the pinkette to beam and eye Sasuke for a moment, blushing out of habit.

Naruto grumbled a bit.

Scienna rolled her eyes.

Sasuke glared at Sakura.

"...right..." Kakashi started, grabbing everyone's attention yet again.

He cleared his throat as all eyes were suddenly upon him, and took a few steps further into the room towards his team. To say he was proud to be bringing this moment would be an understatement, he was over the fucking moon. Not only was this the first team he'd ever passed, but for them to have grown and become so talented so quick. They truly deserved, and to Kakashi, at least, we're ready to take there chances in advancement.

They were ready to be chunin. However, ever the worst with words, Kakashi elected to tell them exactly what was going on, and to warn them without the threat of listening ears.

"So it's a literal exam?" Sakura questioned.

"It could be" Kakashi answered "The exam will be made up of three parts with a tournament."

"Tournament?" Sakura rang again.

"Mmm" He muttered. "Not everyone will make it through, after a certain point the exam becomes every man for himself"

All there eyes went wide.

"However that doesn't happen until the very end. Once there are only a few contests left there will be a tournament for the Hokage and elders to show off the skills of the best genin in all the villages." This next part he made sure to explain with care.

"You do not have to win your fight in order to be advanced. I want you four to remember this." He took a moment to gaze into each of there eyes for a moment, letting them know how serious he was before continuing.

"Simply making it to the end is enough to be considered for chunin, the tournament is not about beating your opponent, it's about showing off your skills and abilities. Do you understand?" He asked.

"So we can lose the final fight, and still be promoted?" Sasuke asked, tone curious.

"Exactly" Kakashi smiled behind his mask.

"So all we have to do is get to the tournament and fight good?" Naruto chimed in, asking literally the same question as Sasuke, who's eyebrow twitched.

"Yup" Came the copy nins face.

Sasuke narrowed his brows.

"Why did Sakura need to silence the room for that? It was hardly even useful information" He questioned.

Kakashi had to admit, he grew tired of Sasuke faster than the rest of them put together. Sure, Naruto was annoying but he was happy and that made it tolerable. Sakura was exceptionally intelligent and made for wonderful conversations, personally, she was his favorite. And Scienna was so calm, very much so becoming the 'mom' of the group.

So he eyed the young boy for a moment, debating on rather or not an argument was worth it. Though he normally didn't let the Sasuke get the better of him, there were a few times he gave in and combated the surviving heir in a game of wits. Sasuke had yet to win.

"Because, it was illegal to tell you everything I just did" Kakashi smirked at the look on Sasukes face. "I was supposed to tell you that your entered in the exam, the fact that I disclosed the number of exams, the tournament and the inner working of the promotion election system itself, is a crime" he spoke calmly, letting the words sink in.

And they were true, all the information he had just given them was classified. He knew the consequences of his actions if he were to get caught, however after there last mission together he felt... wrong, somehow, by withholding any information that may help them. Of course he didn't give them anything that would give them any kind of advantage, he simply gave them the building blocks for success, as any decent teacher would.

Naruto looked at his team mates, not noticing how his eyes lingered on Scienna for a moment longer than Sasuke or Sakura. "Is that what all the extra training has been about?" He asked, referring to the intense training he'd been putting them through sense they returned from wave.

Kakashi had decided that if his team were able to take on high ranked missions, he would treat them as high ranking ninja and train them accordingly. Though the four had originally protested, each of them had devoted time and energy and the the fruits of there labor was sweet indeed. Sasuke learning Chidori, Naruto learning a handful of wind jutsu, Sakura learning basic medic Jutsu as well as genjutsu. Scienna was the only one who seemed to fall behind, though she was the only one actively skipping training. Though Kakashi let her get away with it to some degree, seeing as how advanced she was from the beginning, but at some point she had to make a choice. She would have to face her trauma or quit being a ninja.

He had to admit, Kakashi had never had a student be kidnapped while under his supervision and though she assured her teacher that she was not hurt, he wasn't sure he believed her. When she finally returned on the bridge, tied up and forced to watch as Sasuke and Naruto fought Haku, she wasn't ever really the same after.

It was Scienna who ended up calming Naruto when the demonic chakra began to escape his body. While Sakura cried hysterically over Sasuke, Scienna remained calm in her embrace, holding the blonde silently and stroking his hair and whisker marks until he calmed. When he finally did finish secreting the demonic chakra, he was fully healed and very much aware of the girl holding him. Kakashi watched as Naruto carefully pulled Scienna into his lap, switching three positions and allowing the girl a moment of comfort herself.

He couldn't understand why, after such an intimate moment, the two went back to hating each other before the day was even finished. By dinner that night, the two were bickering again. It exhausted Kakashi to no end, the strange relationship between the two.

And so he smiled at his students, he really was proud.

...

Yeaaaaa idk what I'm doing here lmao.
