A Dragon's Call

Chapter 3

At around midnight, Porlyusica came back to Fairy Hills and once again cleaned Syra's wound. This time she left the wound uncovered so it could breathe for a while. As she left, She gave Levy a bundle of fresh bandages and a bottle of alcohol in case the wound needed to be cleaned a third time.

Morning

As the sun shone through the windows of Fairy Hills, Erza and Mirajane left the room and headed toward the Guild. After a few minutes, Amelia and Natalie walked into the room and sat beside Syra's bed.

" She will get better won't she? " Amelia spoke softly as she looked toward Syra through teary eyes.

" I... I don't know... " Levy spoke softly before biting her lip in an attempt to hold back her tears.

As Amelia was about to speak, Natalie climbed onto the bed and curled up next to Syra carefully. " Syra will get better. I know she will. " Natalie smiled before closing her eyes and napping contently beside Syra. After about half an hour, Amelia and Natalie left and walked back to the Guild Hall.

As the door of the room closed Levy finally caved and let her tears out. As Levy cried loudly, A soft whisper left Syra's lips as her eyes opened strenuously. " Don't... Don't cry Levy... "

As Levy gasped and looked toward Syra, Syra turned her head to look at Levy directly. " Please don't cry Levy... "

" Syra... I... " Levy fell silent as Syra slowly shook her head.

" No tears Levy... I'm going to be fine. " Syra smiled exhaustively as she undid her shirt and pulled it open. Levy moved forward and sighed softly as she looked at Syra's wound.

The wound had closed, The deep black now a light shade of purple as if it were just a bruise and the skin around it was slowly regaining it's normal shade of pearly white. As Levy ran her fingers over the wound slowly, Syra spoke softly. " I promised... Remember? I promised. " Syra blushed as Levy leant forward and kissed her lovingly. After a few moments, Levy broke the kiss and leant her forehead against Syra's.

" I know... But I have been so scared... You are lucky to be alive. " Levy whimpered softly as Syra ran her fingers along Levy's cheek and jawline slowly.

" Not luck Levy. " Syra closed the gap between them and kissed Levy with a fierce passion and desire as Levy moaned softly into the kiss. As she fell back onto her pillow, Syra spoke softly. " Not luck. "

Levy smiled brightly while she caressed Syra's cheek gently as Syra's eyes fluttered slightly. " You need to get some rest Syra. I am so happy you will be okay. But you need rest. I promise I will be right here. " Levy blushed lightly as Syra smiled toward her and whispered as her eyes fluttered shut and she drifted back to sleep.

" There is no one else I would rather watch over me Levy... " Syra smiled slightly as she fell asleep and Levy sighed happily before kissing Syra's forehead softly.

Midday

As Levy leant against the side of the bed, She out several tomes that had different languages in them. As she studied, Erza walked in to check on Syra and Levy.

" How is she Levy? " Erza walked over and checked Syra's wound. " It is healing faster than I thought it would. "

" She woke up for a few minutes when the girls left. She spoke to me. " Levy smiled happily as Erza petted her head gently.

" She is so strong. I am glad she will be okay. We all are. " Erza smiled as Levy turned back to the book she had on her lap. " What you got there Levy? "

" It's the book Gildarts brought back with Syra. I have been trying to translate it while keeping an eye on Syra. " Levy kept looking between different books and languages while occasionally stealing a glance at Syra as Erza spoke.

" It says Ancient Magical Techniques and Secrets. Title of the book. " Erza smiled and walked toward the door as Levy gasped.

" You can read it?! How? I've been trying to translate this all day! " Levy pouted irritably as Erza spoke.

" I don't know. I just can. " Erza shrugged and walked out of the room quietly as Levy pouted.

Evening

Levy had, At some point in her studying fell asleep. As she slept, A soft feeling brushed her face, Jolting her awake. " I'm up! I'm awa... " Levy looked toward Syra's bed and gasped loudly as she realised it was empty. As Levy started to panic, The door of the room opened and Syra walked in tenderly. " Syra! You should be resting! "

" I was hungry! I didn't want to wake you... You looked so cute and peaceful... I didn't want to disturb you. " Syra smiled as she sat on the bed and Levy sat next to her.

" How does your chest feel? " Levy looked worried but Syra smiled and pulled her shirt open.

" A couple more days and I should be fighting fit. I am dying to get out of bed and get back to work. " Syra smiled and giggled softly as Levy smiled.

" You are going to have to convince Erza and Mira. They are adamant that you aren't taking any jobs until they say so. " Levy giggled softly as a look of shock appeared on Syra's face.

" But... " Syra spoke softly but fell silent as Levy shook her head.

" They are right Syra. You knew your wound had opened during the ride back to Magnolia Town and you didn't tell us. I found you struggling to breathe when I came back from the Guild. You have no idea how scared I was. Mira and Erza have been really worried too. " Levy hugged Syra gently as she sighed. " We all love you very much Syra but you need to start talking to us when something is wrong. " Levy smiled as Syra nodded. " Now let's get some sleep. I fell asleep studying and I am so not ready to fully wake up yet. " Levy giggled softly as Syra nodded and kissed her cheek gently.

A Few Days Later

" Knock it off you brats! You make more mess than Natsu! " Makarov had an irritated look on his face as Romeo and Amelia once again fought all over the Guild Hall. As they rolled past the door, Syra's voice broke through the noise of the Guild, Making everyone fall silent.

" I see nothing has changed in the time I have been resting. " Syra smiled brightly as a loud cheer erupted through the Guild Hall as Natalie and Amelia ran over to her and hugged her tightly.

" You are finally back! We thought you were gonna sleep forever. " Natalie giggled softly as Syra tousled her hair gently.

" Maybe not forever but I did need a lot of sleep. " Syra smiled as Amelia hugged her tightly.

" I was really worried Syra. I was starting to think you didn't want to wake up. " Amelia bit her lip nervously. " We have lost one mother already. "

Syra blushed brightly and smiled before hugging Amelia tightly. " You aren't going to lose anyone else Amelia. Promise. Which reminds me... " Syra stood straight as a stern look appeared on her face and Amelia whimpered nervously." Have you been fighting Amelia?! "

" Y... Yes... " Amelia trembled slightly as Syra spoke again.

" Have you been winning? " Syra glared menacingly as Amelia nodded nervously. After a moment, Syra giggled and picked Amelia up before hugging her gently. " That's my girl. "

Amelia had a look of surprise on her face as Syra put her down again. " Wait... You aren't mad? You aren't going to tell me I should be more ladylike? "

" Why would I do that? We are part of Fairy Tail. We all have to be strong if we want to protect our family. I would never tell you not to fight. I would tell you to make sure that you are strong enough to win. " Syra smiled sweetly as Amelia hugged her gently.

" Then I'll be the strongest. Even stronger than you. " Amelia smiled brightly as Syra giggled and tousled her hair.

" I know you will be. Off you go now. We will start your training soon. " Syra smiled as Amelia grinned before running over to Romeo and tackling him roughly, Once again rolling around the Guild Hall knocking things over as Makarov once again yelled out.

" I told you brats to knock it off! " Makarov looked irritated as Amelia and Romeo poked their tongues out at him and continued to roll around.

As Syra giggled, She walked over to the bar and sat down. As she turned to look around the guild, She was met by Erza towering over her with a fierce, Menacing glare.

" You should have told us that your wound was getting worse. " Erza glared toward as Syra trembled nervously.

" Erza... I... I meant to... I kind of just... Forgot? " Syra pressed her back against the bar as Erza stepped forward and looked like she was going to hit Syra.

As Syra braced herself, Erza wrapped her arms around Syra gently and hugged her lovingly. " You had us all worried. Come to us for help next time okay? "

" I promise Erza. I promise I will tell you what is going on next ti... " Syra was cut off as something hard hit her over the back of the head. As she turned, Syra gasped loudly at what she saw. Mirajane was glaring at her in a way that made Erza's glare seem almost comforting.

" YOU IDIOT! " Mirajane looked highly irritated as Syra almost fell off her chair. " You should have told us what was happening! Why didn't you tell us?! Do you have any idea how worried and scared we have been?! IDIOT! " Mirajane thumped Syra on the head as she pouted irritably.

" Ow... I am sorry Mira. I meant to tell you and Erza but I just... I forgot. " Syra spoke nervously and grinned but her grin faded as Mirajane glared at her again.

" That is no excuse! " Mirajane turned away but quickly sighed and walked around the bar before hugging Syra tenderly. " I'm sorry sweety but I was very worried about you. You are my cute little sister. I don't know what I would do if we lost you. "

Syra nuzzled against Mirajane's chest gently as she sighed softly. " I promise I'll do better next time Mira. "

" Good. Right now you have other things to do. Erza has a very arduous training regime planned and she is not waiting any longer to start. While you train with Erza, I will be teaching Amelia and Natalie. " Mirajane smiled as Syra nodded and turned to face Erza.

" When do we... " Syra was cut off as Erza grabbed the back of Syra's mage outfit and dragged her to the training area outside the Guild Hall. As the door closed, Syra caught a glimpse of Mirajane giggling happily.

After letting Syra go, Erza spoke calmly. " Firstly we are going to work on your stance. Your stance at the village was soft, Frail. We can't allow you to go on any jobs until we are confident that you won't nearly get yourself killed again. " Erza paused as Syra motioned to speak but fell silent at the glare in Erza's eyes. " That is not up for discussion. Show me your stance. "

Syra got into her combat stance but sighed softly as Erza spoke. " No. Stand firm. If your stance is frail, It will be easy to knock you over. Stand firm. Again. "

An Hour Later

" No, No, No. Start again. " Erza spoke loudly with a tone of slight irritation as Syra sighed softly.

" I have done this a hundred times already Erza! How am I still getting it wrong? " Syra spoke impatiently before Erza stood and spoke.

" Show me your stance. " Erza spoke calmly before Syra sighed and entered her fighting stance. After a moment, Erza walked over to her and pushed her to the ground effortlessly.

" If I can push you over with no effort than you are still doing it wrong. Again. " Erza spoke calmly despite Syra sighing impatiently before speaking.

" Then how do I do it right? " Syra spoke softly as she pouted and turned away.

" Use your lateral muscles to push your body weight toward the ground. Your feet should be shoulder width apart and toes pointing toward your opponent. " Erza spoke gruffly before she realised that Syra was staring at her with a blank expression. " Well? You gonna stand there all day? "

" R... Right! " Syra gasped softly before entering her stance again but changing it to fit Erza's description. As she looked toward Erza, She walked over and pushed her roughly. As she stepped back, Erza grinned at the fact that Syra had not budged. " Progress at last. Well done. Let's take a break. "

Syra nodded with a smile before stretching out. As she stretched and looked around, Syra noticed Gildarts sitting at the edge of the cliff overlooking the ocean nearby. As she walked over, Syra noticed that Gildarts was holding a fishing rod. After sitting down, Syra spoke quietly.

" Trying to catch breakfast Gildarts? " Syra smiled as Gildarts grinned.

" That to. Fishing helps me relax. Helps me think. Plus fishing is quite manly. " Gildarts chuckled softly as Syra giggled.

" Manly huh. So are you saying that girls can't catch fish? " Syra spoke in a tone that dared Gildarts to answer as he looked toward her.

"I wouldn't say they can't but fishing is a manly activity. Man versus Nature. Women should take up more... Well... Womanly activities. Knitting perhaps. Or Baking. " Gildarts chuckled loudly before turning back to watch the water.

After a moment, Syra stood and and took off her mage outfit but kept her underwear on before she jumped forward, Diving into the water. After a few moments, The water in front of Gildarts erupted upwards and a very large fish landed next to him with a loud thud as Syra pulled herself back up onto the cliff. As she stood, Gildarts fell over in shock as Syra smirked and got dressed again before dragging the fish toward the Guild Hall slowly.

" Wait... What... How?! " Gildarts looked between the water and Syra with a look of shock and awe on his face as Syra giggled and spoke.

" You might want to take up something more womanly Gildarts. Knitting or Baking perhaps? " Syra smiled devilishly before walking back to the Guild Hall leaving Gildarts looking as if someone had slapped him.

After about half an hour, Gildarts walked into the Guild Hall with a fish that was much smaller than Syra's . After sitting down and huffing disappointingly, Gildarts spoke softly. " I may have to get you to teach me how you did that kid. "

" I'd be happy to. If you agree to be less judgemental of what women are capable of. " Syra spoke calmly but with a stern tone of voice as Gildarts looked toward her.

" I can... Try. I make no promises. " Gildarts smirked sheepishly as Syra sighed and shook her head.

" I'll accept trying. But I will be paying close attention. " Syra smiled as Mirajane put a tray with a few large cuts of the fish Syra had caught, Perfectly cooked, Onto the bar in front of Gildarts as she spoke.

" Syra said you should have first bite. You were the one trying to catch food after all. " Mirajane smiled sweetly as Gildarts looked toward Syra.

" Thanks kid. Appreciate it. " Gildarts smirked as he picked up a chunk of fish and took a bite. The taste was sweet and the flesh was soft and flaky as Gildarts sighed contently. " That is some good fish. "

" When you have had enough, Would you like to spar with me Gildarts? I was training with Levy last night and I wanna test myself. " Syra spoke softly and glanced toward Mirajane slightly as she huffed.

" Sure thing kid. Let me finish up and we can go outside for a rumble. " Gildarts chuckled softly before almost inhaling the rest of the fish on the plate in front of him as Syra giggled. After a few minutes and a totally shameless burp from Gildarts, Syra and Gildarts walked outside with some of the other Guild Members in tow.

" Well come on then. Let's see what you've got. " Gildarts smirked as Syra lunged at him and threw a punch. As Gildarts blocked, Syra spun and landed a kick to the side of his head that made him step back slightly.

" Good! Adapt on the fly to keep your opponent off guard. " Gildarts grinned as Syra lunged again, This time making a movement that looked like a kick. As Gildarts motioned to block, Syra spun and landed a punch to the top of Gildarts head that forced him to one knee.

" Alright... I'll admit I felt that one. Had a lot of momentum behind it. " Gildarts rubbed his head gently as he stood up. As he looked up, He noticed that Syra wasn't there. As he turned around, A kick connected squarely to the middle of his face and lifted him off his feet slightly. As he landed, Gildarts groaned softly. " That's it! Don't hesitate! Don't wait for your opponent to be ready! " Gildarts smirked as Syra grinned and lunged again, Gildarts stepped sideways only to be met by Syra landing for a split second and pivoting before pummelling Gildarts stomach with her knee. After coughing slightly and groaning, Gildarts spoke softly.

" Damn kid. That's some serious training you have done. Where did you even learn this? " Gildarts straightened up as Syra nodded and walked to Fairy Hills. After about twenty minutes, Syra returned with a book and handed it to Gildarts. After reading the cover, Gildarts laughed loudly before speaking and holding up the book. " I should've known. Levy lives in her own library after all. "

The Cover of the book read: Ancient Martial Arts Beginners Guide And Mastery Manual

" A good thing too. Erza's training is gonna take a while. " Levy giggled mischievously as she walked up behind Syra and wrapped her arms around Syra's waist. " Syra and I trained all night. "

" Even training all night, I only got the basic techniques. I still have a lot to learn and I would appreciate any pointers you might have to share Gildarts. " Syra smiled brightly as Gildarts grinned.

" Sure. I'll share some stuff. Between me and this book kid, You might end up stronger than I am. Keep it up. " Gildarts tousled Syra's hair gently before smiling as Mirajane spoke.

" Now that you two have had your fun, Erza would like Syra to do some more stance training. Everyone else, There are jobs on the board. Go find something to do. " Mirajane smiled sweetly as everyone walked back inside, Leaving Syra and Erza to train.

As they were training, Natsu walked out of the Guild Hall with an irritated look on his face as Gray followed close behind. " I want a rematch! "

" Are you actually dumb enough to think you can beat her after the last fight? " Gray spoke irritably before Natsu huffed and stormed toward Syra.

" I want a rematch! Fight me! " Natsu looked irritated as Syra shook her head. As Natsu was about to speak again, Makarov walked over with a piece of paper in his hand as he spoke.

" You will have to wait a moment Natsu. I want to speak before you do anything. " Makarov paused as Natsu groaned irritably.

" Is something going on Master? " Syra listened carefully as Makarov spoke.

" While you were recovering, Porlyusica discovered that you have an immensely fast immune system. There have been one or two cases of people exhibiting such traits in the past so I would like to test something that has been nagging at my curiosity. If you would allow me. " Makarov spoke calmly and smiled as Syra nodded. " Excellent. Natsu, Breathe fire at Syra. "

" Finally! Fire Dragon's Roar! " Natsu breathed out a torrent of fire that engulfed Syra as Makarov watched carefully. After the flames died down, Makarov spoke softly as Syra looked at Natsu with an irritated expression on her face.

" Could you feel the magic in those flames Syra? " Makarov looked at Syra as she nodded. " Good. Absorb it. "

" How the hell am I supposed to do that?! " Syra spoke with irritation in her voice as Makarov chuckled.

" That is not something anyone can answer. Find it within yourself. Natsu, Keep breathing fire. Do not stop until I say so. " Makarov smirked as Natsu grinned and breathed in.

" Fire Dragon's Roar! " Natsu breathed out a constant stream of flames that engulfed Syra and the area around her. As the flames swirled around her, Syra closed her eyes. With her eyes closed, Syra gasped softly at the sight. Although her eyes were closed, She could see the magical energy swirling around her. The warmth of it, The power, The radiating energy. As she breathed, Syra focused on absorbing the energy as if she were absorbing sunlight. After a few moments, The magical energy rushed toward her like a raging river and Syra's eyes shot open. " Silver Dragon's Inferno! "

As a warm energy built up inside her, Syra breathed out. A massive torrent of silvery white flames pushed against Natsu's fire before barrelling towards him and scorching everything in it's path. As the flames receded, A glowing line stretched out before Syra and Natsu was laying at the end of it, Groaning in pain with white burns on his skin. Syra looked at the glowing white line before her in shock as Makarov spoke.

" As I thought. You have the ability to absorb magic used against you and learn to use it almost instantaneously. It will still take practice to master the magic you absorb but it will be much faster than other mages. Quite interesting indeed. " Makarov thought silently for a moment. " I wonder... Is it possible for her to absorb any magic used against her or only certain types... "

" Master? " Syra's voice shook Makarov out of his thoughts and he cleared his throat before speaking.

" Just lost in thought. Thank you for humouring a curious old man. " Makarov chuckled softly before walking back into the Guild Hall with a concerned face as Syra walked toward the cliff. As she sighed, Syra let herself fall forward. As she splashed into the cool water of the ocean, Syra smiled softly before swimming to the surface and floating through the gentle waves as the warmth of the bright sunlight caressed the skin of her face.

Midday

After letting the cold waters of the open ocean chill her to the bone, Syra was laying on the ground soaking in the warmth of the sunlight as Levy sat down beside her. " Having a relaxing day Syra? " Levy smiled as Syra giggled softly.

" Maybe. I'm... Thinking. " Syra sighed as she sat up and pull her knees up to her chest.

" You look upset. What's going Syra? " Levy had a look of concern on her face as Syra spoke softly.

" Master said that I have the ability to absorb magic. I absorbed Natsu's fire... But it makes me think... There aren't many people that can do it. Even the Dragon Slayers can't do it. So what am I? Who am I... I mean who am I really? All I know is that I am not like everyone else. " Syra sighed sadly as Levy hugged her tightly.

" I know who you are. " Levy smiled as Syra looked up at her. " You are the most beautiful, Wonderful, Caring, Loving, Gentle, Amazing, Fun, Determined and most special girl I have ever met and I love you with all of my heart. You are Syralogia, The Silver Dragon. You are the love of my life and my partner. That is who you are. " Levy smiled brightly as a few tears rolled down Syra's cheeks and she hugged Levy tightly.

" Thank you so much Levy. I love you too. " Syra held Levy lovingly for a while before wiping her tears away and smiling happily.

" Now that you are smiling, Mirajane asked me to come and get you. She has something to show you. " Levy smiled before walking back into the Guild Hall. As Syra followed Levy, She saw Amelia and Natalie waiting for her. As she walked toward them, Mirajane nodded and the two girls spoke clearly as they entered different combat stances.

Amelia entered a stance that looked like she was holding a ball at her side as she spoke first. " Solistri: Sunflower! " As Amelia stretched out her arms, A radiant, Glowing flower formed around her, sending waves of gentle warmth through the Guild Hall. As Amelia's spell slowly faded, Natalie moved into a combat stance that looked as if she was mimicking a set of scales.

" Lunistri: Moonlight! " Natalie spoke clearly as the Guild Hall filled with a bright luminescent glow radiating from Natalie. As the glow filled the hall, It seemed to almost bend away from the surfaces of the Guild Hall itself.

Once Natalie's spell faded, Syra spoke softly. " What... What is this sense of peace and well being I feel? And what kind of magic is that?! "

" Solistri is magic that uses the power of sunlight. It helps with healing and relaxation. " Amelia spoke happily before Natalie spoke with a hint of playfulness in her voice.

" Lunistri is magic that uses the power of moonlight. It helps with calming emotions and cleansing bad energy. " Natalie grinned happily before the two girls spoke in unison.

" We use ancient magic that only we know how to properly use. " The two girls giggled happily before Mirajane spoke sweetly.

" Natalie and Amelia are the last two descendants of a bloodline of mages who used the sun and the moon as sources of magical energy. The art of Solistri and Lunistri magic was lost to history until now. The magic is tied to memories linked to the bloodline. As they grow in power, New memories will unlock. Giving them access to more powerful spells. " Mirajane smiled sweetly but continued speaking as Syra shot her a look of disbelief and confusion. " Oh I had no idea they had magic either. When they remembered, Amelia explained everything to me. "

" That's right. Our bloodline has studied sun and moon magic for centuries. Each time a new descendant is born with the magic, The memories buried within our bloodline are locked. Each memory and spell unlocking as we learn and grow. Call it... Security. " Amelia smiled brightly as Syra's expression changed to a look of understanding before she walked over and tousled the two girls hair affectionately as Mirajane spoke.

" They are a very unique pair. For two girls aged thirteen and nine... They are quite skilled in the use of the magic they have at their disposal. " Mirajane smiled sweetly as Amelia turned to Romeo.

" Told you! I'm just as strong as Syra you pipsqueak! " Amelia smirked playfully as Romeo's expression turned to irritation and he tackled Amelia.

" Who are you calling a pipsqueak you blood haired witch?! " Romeo spoke loudly before Amelia shoved him off of her and tripped him over.

" Who are you calling a witch you scrawny little puppy?! " Amelia glared at Romeo, Who glared back all the same as Erza spoke.

" I don't get why you two dislike each other so much. " Erza gasped as Amelia and Romeo looked toward her with confusion on their faces.

" I don't dislike Romeo. He is my best friend. " Amelia smiled as Romeo shoved her playfully.

" Yeah! How could I dislike my best friend Erza? Amelia is the best friend I've ever had! " Romeo grinned but glared at Amelia in frustration as she spoke.

" I think you mean the only friend you have ever had. " Amelia grinned devilishly as Romeo tackled her again and they returned to the unending rolling around the Guild Hall, Knocking over anything in their way as Makarov spoke.

" Knock it off brats! How many times do I have to tell you?! " Makarov's expression quickly descended into frustration as Amelia and Romeo paused their ruckus for a split second and poked their tongues out at him. As Syra giggled, An unnerving chill ran up her spine. As she slowly turned around, Erza glared at her menacingly.

" You have slacked off long enough. Outside. NOW. " Erza turned and walked out of the Guild Hall as Syra shook nervously. When she walked outside, Syra saw Erza dressed in blue and yellow armour.

" This is my Giant Armour. It allows me to throw things with much higher strength and velocity then normal. Today is about dodging. If I get hold of you, I will throw you. It will not be gentle and it will not be pleasant. Dodge me. If you can. " Erza lunged forward quickly and motioned to grab hold of Syra's arm as a punch hit Syra in the side, Sending her barrelling along the ground.

" She isn't alone. I came back when I heard you got injured. But your gonna have to prove you have what it takes before I leave tomorrow kid. Crushing Evil Spreading Truth: Empyrean! " Gildarts fist glowed a deep blue as he lunged toward Syra with Erza close behind, As Syra once again dodged Erza, Gildarts slammed his fist into her side, Causing a small explosion from his magic.

As Syra stood, She spoke softly. " That was unwise. Crushing Evil Spreading Truth: Silver Lance! " Syra lunged forward with incredible speed and slammed her fist into Gildarts stomach, Sending him flying across the training area and landing with a thud. As he stood, Gildarts spoke slowly.

" How did you use my magic against me?! Not that it matters. You lost focus. " As Gildarts spoke, Erza seized Syra's arm as the gem on her gauntlet glowed brightly before she threw Syra high into the air.

As Syra flew high into the air, Levy had a look of horror and concern on her face. For a moment, Syra floated as the momentum of being thrown into the air slowed to a halt before plummeting back toward the ground.

As Levy started panicking, Syra gasped as she flipped herself in the air and silver scales grew up her arms to her elbow, Around her eyes and down the middle of her cheeks. As it looked like she was going to helplessly slam into the ground, A large pair of shining silver wings with glowing gold decorative patterns all over the membrane appeared on her back and she floated quickly toward the ground, landing with a loud thud but otherwise mostly unharmed.

As she stood up, Syra sighed at the beautiful wings that stretched out from her back. The wingspan was thirty feet from wing tip to wing tip. The glowing gold patterns resembled decorative circles and lines. After a few moments, Syra moved and flapped her wings slowly to get used to the new sensations and muscles that were now a part of her. Each movement sent tingles down her spine. After half an hour of practising flapping her wings, Syra sighed exhaustively as the wings glowed softly before disappearing and the scales on her skin slowly disappeared.

After a moment, Levy rushed over and hugged Syra gently. " Syra are you okay? "

" Yeah I am fine. It is weird though... I can't see the wings or touch them but I can still feel them like they are still there... " Syra sighed tiredly before yawning sleepily.

" I think we have done enough today. Syra is exhausted. Let's allow her to get some rest. " Levy spoke cautiously before Erza and Gildarts both nodded silently and walked back into the Guild Hall as Erza's armour changed back to normal.

" She really isn't a Dragon Slayer is she? " Levy looked at Porlyusica who happened to be standing at the door of the Guild Hall as she spoke.

" No. I do not think so. No Dragon Slayer I know can manifest aspects of a Dragons form. Syra having wings is a sign. She is much, Much more than a mere Dragon Slayer. How much more remains to be seen. Keep a close eye on her Levy. There is no telling how this manifestation will affect her. Filthy humans like her are so terribly fragile. " Porlyusica glared at Syra slightly before turning and walking into the Guild Hall.

" That kid has some scary potential huh? " Gildarts smirked slightly as Erza spoke as she sat down at the bar.

" Yes she does. It isn't her potential that scares me though. What scares me is how fearless she is. Even when faced with death she spoke of it to no one and tried to handle it quietly on her own. It's like she has no reason to feel fear. " Erza sighed softly as Gildarts looked toward her.

" Maybe that is exactly it. Maybe she really has no reason to feel fear. Maybe what does scare her is much worse than anything else that could happen to her. " Gildarts spoke with interest in his voice but no tone of concern or worry before he stood and spoke again. " Well... I'm off. "

" And exactly where are you going? " Erza spoke softly before Gildarts chuckled.

" Oh I don't know really... Might wander north for a bit then I'll just figure it out as I go I guess. " Gildarts chuckled as Erza spoke.

" You are as bad as Natsu. Total block head. " Erza glared at Gildarts irritably as he walked toward the Guild Hall door and the sound of machinery filled the air.

" Yeah suppose I am. See ya Erza. " Gildarts waved over his shoulder before walking out of the Guild Hall. After a few moments, The sound of machinery once again filled the air.

Evening

As Erza and Mirajane were about to leave the Guild Hall, Levy burst through the doors with a look of terror on her face.

" Mira! Erza! You need to come and see Syra! She... She's... I don't know. Bring Porlyusica too. And hurry! " Levy's voice echoed around the Guild Hall before they left the Guild Hall in a hurry. As they entered Levy's room in Fairy Hills, Porlyusica, Erza and Mirajane froze in shock. Laying on the bed was Syra, Looking very different to how she appeared mere hours before.

Syra's skin had faded from it's pearly white to an almost dead looking shade of grey, Her eyes had dark circles around them, Her hair colour looked faded and she was sweating heavily while writhing in pain. Every so often a soft, Laboured whimper would escape her lips.

" What's happening to her? " Levy's voice trembled as she spoke with tears flowing down her cheeks.

" I... I don't know Levy... I have never seen anything like this before. It must have something to do with those wings earlier. " Porlyusica spoke as she walked toward the bed and knelt beside it before rummaging through her bag.

" We can't risk moving her. We will have to take turns watching her again until we figure out what is wrong with her. " Mirajane spoke sternly and had a look of deep concern on her face before Levy spoke without hesitation.

" No power in this world would make me leave her side. I am staying right here. " Levy cried softly as she placed a gentle hand on Syra's forehead but pulled it away quickly as her skin made a soft sizzling sound. " Mira she is burning... "

Mirajane placed her hand on Syra's forehead and pulled it away quickly as the heat of Syra's skin seared her hand. " This is not good. Levy, We need to try and keep her temperature under control. Find a cloth and get some cold water. We need to keep her cool. "

Upon returning to the room, Levy dunked the cloth into the bucket of cold water before folding it and tenderly placing the wet cloth onto Syra's forehead. The cloth immediately made a loud sizzling noise as steam rose from it the moment it touched Syra's skin. As Mirajane, Erza and Levy sat at Syra's side looking helpless and Porlyusica used healing magic to try and help, A soft whisper escaped Syra's lips. " Father... "

Before Mirajane, Erza, Porlyusica or Levy could react, A young but bone rattling voice originated from behind them that sent shivers down all their spines.

" Step aside fools. I will tend to her. " A young man with unruly waist length dark blue hair, Green eyes, Dark skin that was adorned with dark blue markings, Wearing black cloth pants and a high collared black cloak glared toward them menacingly.

As Levy, Erza, Porlyusica and Mirajane turned to face him, Their expressions froze in a look of terror and shock. His sharp, unrelenting gaze was unaccepting of any refusal and all but stole the voices out of them as the four of them met his gaze.

In the doorway of Levy's room stood Acnologia himself in human form.

As Levy, Mirajane, Erza and Porlyusica looked toward him with shock and fear in their eyes, Acnologia spoke once again. " I said move. I will not tell you again humans. "

Levy, Erza, Porlyusica and Mirajane snapped out of their shock and moved out of the way as Acnologia walked forward and knelt beside Syra.

" As I thought. Her Dragon genes have been dormant since birth. Awakening her genes has caused her immune system to react. " Acnologia spoke in an uncaring, uninterested tone of voice but had an air of concern about him as he reached into his cloak and pulled a small vial out of a pocket on the inside of his cloak.

" This will break her fever and boost her immune system. She is on her own from there. " Acnologia pulled the cork out of the vial and tipped the contents into Syra's mouth carefully. As Syra coughed softly, Levy had a look of concern and longing on her face.

" This is the last time that I will come to her aid. From this day on she is my enemy.

Tell her the next time we meet, It will be in battle. " Acnologia stood slowly and walked away slowly.

As he walked away, Levy spoke softly. " Thank you... For helping her... "

" Save your thanks human. It is neither wanted nor needed. I did not save her so she can go on living happily. I saved her only so that I might be the one that kills her with my own hands. " Acnologia turned and for a moment, Levy saw the intense hatred of humans and his daughter in his cold, Malicious glare. As Levy turned her gaze back to Syra, Acnologia left Fairy Hills before transforming into his Dragon form and flying away from Magnolia Town.

" Well... That... That was terrifying. " Mirajane sighed in relief as she knelt next to Levy.

" Terrifying?! I thought for sure we were screwed! " Levy giggled nervously as a Painful whimper escaped Syra's lips.

" Of all the arrogant things that bastard could do, He walks into Fairy Hills like he owns the place. That Acnologia is such a jackass. " Erza spoke with malice and disdain in her voice before Porlyusica sighed.

" How do you know it was Acnologia? " Levy spoke softly before Mirajane spoke.

" Syra called him father and he was covered in markings that match the Dragon. It is hard to believe that he would be anyone else. " Mirajane spoke softly as Levy sighed. As Levy moved back to Syra's side, Porlyusica spoke.

" Jackass or not, Whatever he gave Syra has pushed her immune system into overdrive. Her fever is fading quickly as well. I will leave some medicines here that will generally help bring her temperature down and relieve pain but there is very little I can do. Come and get me if I am needed. " Porlyusica placed a range of bottles on the bedside table before leaving the room.

Fairy Hills, Early Morning

" We should take her outside. Let her get some fresh air. We can give her the medicine Porlyusica left us out there. The cool morning air might do her some good. I'll go get a stretcher. " Erza left the room and returned shortly after with a medical stretcher. After lifting Syra onto the stretcher with the blankets and pillows from the bed, Erza and Mirajane carried her outside and set her on the ground carefully. As they pulled the cork out of one of the bottles, Porlyusica walked over.

" Giving her the medicine out here? Not a bad idea. The cool air might make her breathing a little easier. " Porlyusica walked over and took beside Levy as Levy tipped the contents of the vial into Syra's mouth. As Syra swallowed, Her eyes shot open and she sat up quickly as she coughed lightly before sighing and falling backwards again.

" What did you do?! " Levy turned to Porlyusica who chuckled softly before speaking.

" Oh it is quite alright. It's a normal reaction. " Porlyusica chuckled amusingly as Levy scowled at her. " The medicine, While effective, Tastes horrible. "

Levy looked at Porlyusica with a blank expression as Porlyusica chuckled again. " You know there are times where I really do wonder about you Porlyusica... "

" Oh? And what about me makes you wonder? " Porlyusica looked toward Levy with an uninterested look on her face but as Levy was about to respond, Syra opened her eyes slightly as she spoke in barely a whisper.

" Levy... " Syra raised her hand slightly as Levy turned to look at her with teary eyes and a smile on her face.

" I'm right here Syra. I'm not going anywhere. " Levy smiled but her smile quickly faded as Syra's eyes went wide and she arched her back as she gasped in pain.

" The medicine... It isn't working... " Porlyusica stepped back cautiously as Syra's eyes began glowing softly. As Levy was about to speak, Syra whispered softly.

" Levy... Run... " Syra whispered before screaming in agony as scales slowly grew up her arms to her elbow, Around her eyes and down the middle of her cheeks as she floated up slightly and her wings appeared and extended, Throwing the stretcher aside with extreme ease. As Levy stood, Syra opened her mouth before a beam of silver light fired forward, Missing Levy by millimetres before Syra flapped her wings strongly and rose into the air.

As everyone looked up at Syra, She screamed in agony once more before turning her head slowly as another beam of silver light tore across the area. Mirajane, Porlyusica and Erza dove out of the way quickly as Levy stood frozen with terror and sadness etched onto her face. After a moment, Levy snapped out of her shock and called out to Syra as loud as she could. " Syra stop! Please stop! "

Levy ran toward Syra as a third beam of light fired toward her, Again missing her by millimetres. As Syra continued to scream in agony, White flames began burning from her skin as waves of intense, Unrelenting heat surged through the area. As Levy stopped moving and tried to shield herself from the heat, A soft voice came from nearby.

" Solistri: Solar Flare! " Amelia spoke calmly as a beam of sunlight hit Syra squarely in the chest as another voice spoke.

" Lunistri: Moon Blast! " Natalie spoke as a gigantic ball of moonlight barrelled toward Syra and engulfed her. As Amelia and Natalie watched, Syra looked directly at them and fired a swirling torrent of burning white flames toward them. As the flames were about to hit the two girls, Levy spoke loudly. " Solid Script: Water! "

As Levy's spell appeared, Gray spoke firmly as he appeared next to Levy. " Ice Make: Cannon! "

Gray's ice magic collided with Levy's water as the flames slammed into it. As the flames stopped, Gray spoke again as he lunged upwards and flipped over Syra's head. " Ice Make: Prison! "

As the magic appeared, Trapping Syra in a huge block of ice, Levy shouted. " Gray don't! "

Levy spoke too late as the ice froze solid and Gray landed on the ground as the block of ice encasing Syra landed with a loud thud. As Gray turned around, He gasped in shock as he watched the sight before him. The block of ice was quickly disappearing as if it was being drained away. When the ice completely disappeared, Syra turned to face Gray before entering an Ice Make stance as her hand glowed a soft blue colour. " Ice Make: Silver Rose! "

As Syra extended her arms, A huge ice rose grew around Gray and closed it's petals around him as if he was in a cage of ice. As Gray slammed his hands against the icy, silvery petals, Syra flapped her wings and took off again as Natsu appeared and spoke. " Fire Dragon's Roar! " As he breathed out, A torrent of swirling flames barrelled toward Syra.

After a few seconds, Natsu sighed in irritation as Syra flew towards him effortlessly and wrapped her arms around Natsu tightly before breathing in as a silver light formed in her mouth. As Syra began to breathe out, Levy jumped as Mirajane cupped her hands and threw her into the air before Levy grabbed one of Syra's wings forcing her to let go of Natsu and firing the silver beam of light into the sky. After a moment, Levy let go of Syra's wing as the light disappeared and Syra turned to face her.

" Syra please stop... I'm begging you... Please come back to me... Please? " Levy spoke with longing and sadness in her voice before Syra shook her head and began screaming in agony as her hands started glowing in a mix of icy blue, Dark blue, Silver and a fiery red before flying toward Levy rapidly. As Levy lunged out of the way, Syra slammed her fists into the ground which erupted into an explosion of magic.

As the dust cleared, Syra fell to her knees and screamed loudly as waves of heat pulsed out of her. After a moment, Syra rose into the air as Levy looked up at her with tears flowing down her cheeks.

As Levy looked toward Syra, A flash of light flew past her as Erza's voice echoed through the area. " Requip: Heaven's Wheel! " Ezra exploded forward glowing with a soft blueish silver light as her Heaven's Wheel armour equipped and she slammed into Syra, Sending her rocketing backwards with tremendous force as Levy looked toward Erza and spoke happily. " Erza! "

" Sorry about the wait. My magic just wouldn't activate properly. I kept equipping the wrong armour. Probably lack of sleep. Anyway, Syra can't absorb my magic. Let me handle this. " Erza spoke confidently as a pair of blueish silver swords appeared in her hands. As Erza looked up, Syra flew toward her with her hand glowing bright silver. Erza lunged forward and moved her swords into a cross shape to block before colliding with Syra. As the two swords collided with Syra's fist, The glowing silver energy disappeared as Erza smiled and spoke.

" I think you will find me to be a most worthy opponent Syra. You can't absorb my magic, But I can dispel yours. Time for you to cool off. " Erza spun and swung the sword in her right hand, This time slamming the flat of the blade into Syra's side and sending her spiralling to the ground.

" Don't hurt her Erza! Please! " Levy called out with concern in her voice before Erza looked toward her and smiled. As Erza turned back around, Syra stood and groaned softly. As Syra lunged into the air, Levy ran forward before lunging toward the side of the Fairy Hills building and pushing off quickly. As Syra flew toward Erza, She gasped as Levy slammed into her, Wrapping her in a tight hug as they crashed into the ground with a loud thud. As Syra struggled, Levy moved and pinned her arms to the ground as she spoke with tears falling freely down her cheeks.

" Syra please stop this! Please! Your scaring me and attacking our friends! I know you are in pain but please come back to me! You are breaking my heart... Please don't make us fight you... Please... " Levy cried heavily as Syra stopped struggling and looked directly at her. As Levy looked down at Syra, Syra shook her head lightly and gasped loudly before speaking softly as tears formed in her eyes before the scales along her skin and her wings disappeared.

" Levy... I... I'm so sorry... I am so, so sorry Levy. I didn't mean to I swear... It just hurt so much... I couldn't take it... " Syra spoke sadly and burst into tears as Levy moved to let her up. Syra laid on the ground crying heavily before standing up quickly and running out of the area in tears. As Levy watched Syra leave, She broke down into tears and hid her face in her hands as Erza walked over to her before her armour returned to normal.

" I don't think Syra can take this... She felt uncertain of herself before... Now I fear... " Erza sighed sadly as Levy stood and turned to face her.

" I couldn't take it Erza... I couldn't take seeing her so angry and in so much pain. I had to do something... " Levy cried heavily as Erza pulled her into a gentle hug. " She will never forgive herself for this will she? "

" I doubt it. She has been so concerned about being dangerous since she arrived at Fairy Tail. This may cause her a very high amount of distress. It may even cause her to lose faith in herself completely. Worst case scenario, She starts to feel as if she cannot be around other people. " Erza spoke softly before Levy pulled away from her and ran after Syra quickly.

As Levy ran after Syra she heard a loud rushing sound and looked up to see Syra flying toward the mountains rapidly. Levy called out but Syra just kept flying until she was out of sight. Levy burst into tears as she fell to her knees and cried loudly. After a few minutes, Levy walked back to Fairy Hills and went to her room without speaking to anyone.

A Few Hours Later

" How could I do this.. How could I put everyone in danger like that... And I attacked Levy... I can't believe that I attacked Levy... " Syra sat in a cave in the mountains crying uncontrollably as her thoughts spiralled out of control. " How can I ever trust myself again... How can I ever trust myself around Levy after this..."

As Syra cried, Her thoughts drifted to the look in Levy's eyes before she left. The look of her heart breaking and the level of sadness and pain in her eyes. The more she thought about it, The more Syra felt that she was too dangerous to be around people.

After a few minutes of crying heavily, Syra laid down on the cold stone of the cave floor and drifted off to sleep.

The Next Day

Syra awoke slowly and yawned before sighing sadly and getting up before stepping outside. The sunrise had barely begun shining over the horizon as Syra looked toward Magnolia Town, The Fairy Tail Guild Hall was all but a small speck on the horizon, and breathed out slowly. As the crisp morning air flowed through her hair, Syra looked up at the sky as tears formed in her eyes slowly. After a few minutes, Syra walked back into the cave and followed the winding pathways into the depths of the mountains.

The Next Day

" Levy you haven't come out of your room since Syra left. You need to get out. You need something to do. Is Syra being gone all that is on your mind? " Mirajane spoke sternly but petted Levy's head gently as she responded.

" Yes... No... I don't know Mira... My heart is breaking okay? I just... " Levy hid her face in her hands as she began crying softly before sitting down.

" You just want her to come home... " Mirajane spoke softly before Levy looked up and nodded silently before bursting into tears again. Mirajane smiled empathetically before kneeling beside Levy and hugging her gently.

After a few minutes of comforting Levy, Mirajane walked out of Levy's room, Subtly picking up Syra's book on the way out. After leaving Fairy Hills, Mirajane walked toward the main gate of Magnolia Town.

A Few Hours Later

" I can't go back. Not until I can control this. " Syra looked down at her hands slowly before sighing softly. " I don't even have my book here... How am I supposed to do this if I don't know how... "

" Maybe start with asking for help. " A soft familiar voice echoed slightly from behind Syra. Upon turning around, Syra saw Mirajane standing there holding her book of magic. As Mirajane smiled soothingly, Syra ran forward and hugged her tightly as tears formed in her eyes.

" Mira I am so sorry! I didn't... " Syra fell silent as Mirajane stepped back a bit and placed a finger on Syra's lips gently.

" Hush. You have no reason to apologise. It was not your fault. " Mirajane smiled warmly but Syra stepped back and shook her head for a moment before speaking.

" It was my fault! I lost control and put everyone in danger... " Syra's lip trembled slightly before she continued. " And I attacked Levy... How can I ever face her again now? I promised... I promised her I would never hurt her Mira. I promised that I would never leave her behind. How do I face her again after breaking my promises? " Syra turned away as tears slowly rolled down her face.

" She doesn't care about that Syra. Levy just wants you to come home. She will forgive you. I know she will. And you actually didn't hurt her. Yes you attacked her and yes seeing you so angry and suffering so much broke her heart but you didn't hurt her. " Mirajane walked forward and held the book of magic in front of Syra as she turned around. " But if you are so intent on making up for it then why don't we study your book. Properly. And learn how to control that rage so that you never lose control again. "

" But how do I control it? It was overwhelming. I couldn't even think... " Syra looked down at the ground sadly before Mirajane placed a hand on her cheek gently.

" The same way I learned control. I spent a very long time thinking that I could never be like everyone else. That I can never live a normal life. But then my siblings learned magic that was similar to mine. Take Over magic. Mine is Satan Soul. " Mirajane paused for a moment as she changed into her Demon form. " At first I couldn't control my power. It was so overwhelming. And it was manifesting visibly. My left arm often took the appearance of Demonic flesh. But over time I learned to use it through Take Over magic. I think we may be able to turn your rage into a form of Take Over magic if we practise enough. And I will help you. " Mirajane smiled as she shifted back into her normal form before Syra spoke softly.

" I... I don't know if I want to Mira... I am too dangerous in that state. " Syra looked away sadly as Mirajane giggled.

" Do you think I am harmless in my Demon form? " Mirajane giggled again softly as Syra shook her head. " I am far from harmless sweety. I am quite dangerous. When I first used Satan Soul it totally overwhelmed me. But over time I gained control of it. Not only will I help you learn to control your rage, I will help you learn how to use all the new magic you have absorbed. Crush, Ice Make, All of it. It just takes practise. But if you don't feel like learning with me I can always go and get Erza or Levy. " Mirajane smiled teasingly but had a daring look on her face as Syra shook her head rapidly.

" No! I would really like you to help me Mira. " Syra smiled happily before wiping her tears away as Mirajane smiled brightly.

" Good. The first thing we need to teach you is control. Which is where your book comes in. " Mirajane opened the book to the page that detailed controlling and regulating magical flow throughout the body before sitting down in a meditative position as Syra nodded.

As Syra sat down, Mirajane spoke softly. " You need to focus entirely on your magical energy. Nothing else around you matters or exists. Only you and your magic. Concentrate and breathe slowly. " Mirajane watched silently as Syra closed her eyes and breathed calmly. After several minutes, Mirajane spoke again.

" Feel your magical energy flowing through you. Follow it to where it begins, To your magical origin. Concentrate. " Mirajane spoke softly as Syra breathed slowly.

As Syra breathed slowly, A soft silver glow surrounded her. As Syra sighed softly, Mirajane spoke. " Good. Now concentrate on the source of your magic. Acknowledge it. "

Syra sighed softly as she struggled to keep control as Mirajane spoke once again. " Now release it. "

As Mirajane finished speaking, Syra's eyes shot open and glowed with a swirling silver energy. After a moment, Syra held her head gently as she groaned in pain.

" Focus Syra! Concentrate on your magic and make it bend to your will. " Mirajane fell silent as Syra screamed loudly before a bright light surrounded her. As the light faded, Syra's body changed slowly. Two small silver horns grew out of her forehead, Her fingernails slowly changed into sharp silver claws, The pupil of her eyes trembled before retracting and forming into long thin slits, A long winding silver scaled tail formed at the base of her spine and fell freely to the ground, Her hair shortened into styled spikes that leaned toward the back of her head and small diamond shaped silver scales formed along sections of her skin as her silver wings appeared slowly, Stretching out from the middle of her upper back.

After a moment, Syra sighed softly before falling to her knees and breathing heavily as Mirajane spoke. " That's it! You did it! "

" That... That sucked. Like seriously sucked. " Syra spoke exhaustively as Mirajane giggled softly.

" The first few times it will. But you get used to it the more you use it. " Mirajane spoke calmly and smiled warmly before Syra stood up shakily.

" Everything tingles Mira... It's like... " Syra spoke softly but couldn't find the words before Mirajane finished her sentence.

" Like being reborn? " Mirajane smiled warmly as Syra nodded. After a moment, Syra's form changed back to normal and she fell to her knees, Exhausted as Mirajane spoke again.

" Why don't we set up a little camp here and get some sleep before we continue? Working yourself to exhaustion is only going to make training harder. Plus, Your body needs to adapt to all this new magic. " Mirajane smiled as Syra nodded silently. After a few minutes, Mirajane had set up a small bedroll and made a campfire. As Syra slept, Mirajane hummed softly.

The Next Day

Syra awoke slowly and yawned as a pleasant smell filled her senses. After rubbing her eyes gently, Syra looked over to see Mirajane holding a stick over the camp fire. On the stick were four small fish. As Mirajane looked up, She saw Syra yawn slightly. " Good morning sleepyhead. Breakfast is almost ready. "

" Thanks Mira. " Syra smiled but giggled as Mirajane looked at her with confusion on her face before speaking.

" It isn't anything fancy Syra. Just fish. " Mirajane giggled softly as Syra smiled and spoke softly.

" Not for breakfast... Well thank you for that too but I meant thank you for being here for me. For helping me. Thank you for everything Mira. " Syra smiled brightly as Mirajane blushed lightly.

" Your welcome sweety. Now here, Have something to eat and then we will practice some of your other magic. " Mirajane smiled warmly as she handed Syra two fish before sitting down and eating her own. After they had finished eating, Mirajane flipped through the book of magic to a page that detailed how to master new magic.

" This page details the different ways to master magic. The easiest way is to repeatedly use it over and over again. So we will start with Crush magic. First we will use the spells that I have seen Gildarts use. First, Use the spell Crushing Evil Spreading Truth: Empyrean. Use that boulder over there as your target. " Mirajane spoke calmly before Syra nodded and spoke clearly.

" Crushing Evil Spreading Truth: Empyrean! " As she spoke, Syra lunged forward as her hand glowed a deep blue colour. As she struck the boulder, It trembled violently before rocketing away from Syra rapidly and shattering as it hit the cave wall with a loud thud.

As Syra smiled brightly, Mirajane clapped softly. " Well done! Now try the spell Crushing Evil Spreading Truth: Absolute Heaven. "

Syra nodded before speaking clearly and running toward another nearby boulder. " Crushing Evil Spreadi... " Syra stopped speaking as her magic made a loud fizzling sound before her fist slammed into the boulder and made a soft crunching noise before Syra gasped in pain. " OW! "

" Oh dear. Come here Syra. Let me see. " Mirajane spoke softly as Syra walked over to her and held her hand up for Mirajane. Syra's hand was red and her fingers surged with pain as Mirajane ran her thumb over them gently. " Oh sweety. You have broken your fingers. Let's get this fixed up. " Mirajane smiled sweetly before walking to the bedroll and taking a small roll out of the pack next to it. As Mirajane unrolled the small roll, Syra noticed that it was full of medical supplies. " While I am not as good as Porlyusica, I have seen her treat broken fingers before. Let's get that fixed and get some rest before we continue. "

Syra nodded silently as Mirajane placed a small flat stick between Syra's fingers and began wrapping a bandage around her fingers tightly. After groaning in pain a few times, Syra sighed softly before laying down and going to sleep.

The Next Day

Syra awoke as the same smell from the day before filled her senses. After once again stretching slowly and eating breakfast, Syra rubbed her broken fingers tenderly. As she sighed softly, Mirajane spoke.

" Until your fingers heal, We will refrain from practising magic that requires your hands. Instead I want you to focus on reading your book and practising your Take Over. " Mirajane smiled sweetly before handing Syra her book of magic. As Syra sat down, She placed the book on the ground in front of her and opened the book before starting to read from the first page again to make sure she hadn't missed anything during her training.

As she was reading, Mirajane sat down next to her and spoke softly. " I have been wondering Syra, Do your wings actually disappear or are they... Invisible... " Mirajane trailed off slightly as she waved her hand through the air behind Syra.

" I'm not actually sure... I can still feel them but they aren't there... It's kinda weird but I don't mind. " Syra smiled before turning back to her book and continuing to read as Mirajane stared blankly at the empty air behind Syra.

Meanwhile

" How did Mirajane manage to just disappear without ANYONE noticing?! It's not like she can turn invisible! " Gray spoke impatiently before Erza shrugged lazily as she sat down at the bar.

" She is pretty sneaky when she wants to be. And very clever. It honestly doesn't surprise me that no one noticed her leave. " Levy spoke calmly before Gray sighed softly.

" That is true... But still we should all be paying more attention. " Gray spoke in a slightly disappointed tone of voice before Natsu sat down beside him and spoke calmly.

" Whatever. Mira leaving and Syra being gone doesn't mean anything happened. They need to be alone so let them be alone. " Natsu spoke plainly and sighed in boredom as Gray thumped him on the head impatiently.

" Easy for you to say Natsu... Your heart isn't breaking because your lover ran away... " Levy looked at the ground before sighing sadly. " She better come back. I need her to come back... " Levy's lip trembled slightly as Natsu spoke, Clearly oblivious to Levy's feelings.

" Quit your complaining. Syra will come back when she is ready. No point getting all teary till then. " Natsu groaned as Erza rushed at him and kicked him in the face roughly, Sending him spiralling across the Guild Hall.

" You inconsiderate, oblivious, brain dead moron! Try to think how Levy feels before you open your stupid mouth idiot! " Erza seethed with anger as Levy walked out of the Guild Hall with tears flowing down her cheeks.

After several minutes, Erza followed Levy and found her sitting in her room, Curled up on the bed with Syra's pillow held tightly against her chest. " It has her smell... "

" Levy... I know you miss her but you know Syra will come home. You know she won't leave for good. She is hating being away from you just as much as you are hating being away from her. " Erza smiled and petted Levy's head gently as she hugged Syra's pillow even tighter and buried her face in it for a moment before speaking.

" It's driving me crazy Erza... I can still smell her on the pillows. I can still feel her kisses. The way her touch electrified my senses. I even remember the feeling of her skin. It's driving me crazy. " Levy blushed brighter than ever before and sighed softly as Erza went bright red.

" I... I have no idea how that feels Levy... But I know she will come back to you. I know she is thinking the same things you are. She won't be able to stay away. " Erza smiled before leaving. As she walked through the hallway toward the entrance of Fairy Hills as a thought echoed within her mind. " She will come back to Levy. They are meant to be together. " Erza sighed softly as she left Fairy Hills and walked back to the Guild Hall.

As Erza walked into the Guild Hall, Romeo and Amelia rolled past her, Fighting as usual, Gray and Natsu argued and Cana drank her usual amount of booze. As Erza walked to the bar, She looked to where Mirajane would normally be going about her routine and sighed sadly as thoughts of Mirajane filled her mind.

" You know exactly what Levy is going through don't you? " Lucy sat and spoke softly as Erza turned to face her.

" Lucy?! I haven't seen you in a while... Where have you been? " Erza had a surprised look on her face as Lucy spoke.

" Well... I... " Lucy blushed lightly as a small smiled appeared on her face. " At first I did some jobs with Natsu and Happy... But lately... I... I have been going on jobs with Laxus. "

" Laxus? Why Laxus? " Erza looked upstairs to where Laxus was sitting casually with his headphones on, Clearly ignoring most of what was going on below.

" Because he asked... " Lucy blushed slightly brighter as she glanced toward Laxus, Who in turn glanced toward her. After a moment, Erza poked Lucy playfully and sneered as Lucy poked her tongue out at her.

" I see what's going on here. Anyway... What kind of jobs did you two do? " Erza smiled as Lucy told her about the different jobs her and Laxus had completed.

After speaking with Lucy for a few hours, Erza went to Seductive Sweets to have enchanted cake. As she sat down, The waitress walked over and spoke softly.

" Welcome to... Oh! Miss Erza! Are you on your own today? Where is Miss Mirajane? " The waitress had a puzzled look on her face as Erza spoke sadly.

" No one else today. I am here alone. The usual please. " Erza looked down sadly as the waitress walked away quietly. As she entered the kitchen, The waitress spoke quietly to the Head Baker.

" Miss Erza is upset about something. She has asked for the usual but I suggest making her something special to lift her spirits. " The waitress smiled as the Baker nodded excitedly. After about twenty minutes, The waitress walked back to Erza's table and set down a strange looking cake.

" Please enjoy this cake on the house Miss Erza. It is a coffee, chocolate, hazelnut and mint layer cake. Each layer has a different effect. Enjoy! " The waitress smiled and walked away quickly before Erza could object.

As Erza looked down at the delicate looking slice of cake and its four different layers with a twirl of sweet vanilla whipped cream on the side and strawberries adorning the top of the slice, She sighed happily and put a spoonful of the cake in her mouth, A small section of each layer melting across her tongue as her senses spun into overdrive and tingling sensations raged throughout her body as she trembled heavily.

Many events unfold as Syra leaves Magnolia Town.

Are Syra and Levy going to stay as close as they have been?

Will this separation cause an irreparable rift between them?

And what of Erza and Mirajane? Will they reunite happily?
