It was just another morning in Agrabah. Jasmin was looking off her balcony into Agrabah. Aladdin was in the library brushing up on Agrahbanian history. The Sultan wanted Aladdin to be sophisticated and act like royalty so the citizens wouldn't be in an uproar about his decision to change the law. Aladdin respected his father-in-laws wishes and spent the first month reading the history books of the royal library.

All of a sudden horns, trumpets, drums, and ouds could be heard from outside the city. As Hamed (the Sultan), Jasmine, and Aladdin rushed to the balcony they saw men in every direction of the city. They were surrounded. Agrahbanian guards rushed up the streets and entered the palace. "What's going on outside," said the Sultan. "It's Shirabad they have surrounded us with a large army they demand our full unconditional surrender," said one of the guards. "Wait, what , why ?" responded Jasmine. "The death..." said the other guard, "Of your mother." "My mother?" Jasmine was shocked in disbelief. "Ready a horse I'll go see for myself," Aladdin said. "No," said Hamed "It's to dangerous." "You're right I'll ready some scouts." Though Aladdin said this Jasmine could see in his eyes that's not what he meant.

Aladdin sneaked out of the palace at midday and road off to the wall surrounding Agrabah. "Why. Why have you encamped in our beloved city." Aladdin said, Aladdin intended to act like royalty so he could gain the respect of his people as well as Shirabad. A man in a yellow robe with sapphire, ruby, and emerald rings on his fingers. He also wore a yellow hat (looking much like Hamed's) adorned by yellow feathers with a purple jewel in the middle. The slightly obese man also wore a red scarf and belt with a golden necklace and had a gold bracelet on each hand. "Agrabah is responsible for my daughters death. Your vizier murdered her. She was the last of my beloved family. Agrabah took from me what I love most and I intend to take what it loves from it. The city of Agrabah." As the Sultan, Razoul spoke Aladdin gulped knowing what this man said was true.

(Back at the palace) "Hakim bring Aladdin to me" said Hamed. "He left twenty minutes ago to the outer wall did you not send him there?" Hakim said puzzled. The Sultan laughed as he said, "I should've known he would do this." "Hakim rally the army and the militia and post them as the city's defense." The Sultan continued, "You two get me Aladdin and don't lift your eyes from him not even for a second," he was referring to the two guards who brought him the news of Shirabad's army.

"Look I'm sorry about what Jafar did. But the man you seek has already been defeated," Aladdin tried to reason with the man but he knew it was no use. "Well then Agrabah must be defeated," said the Sultan. Razoul continued, "See this from my perspective. One child one wife, my wife is gone and my sweet girl..." The man almost broke into tears but was too enraged to show emotion. "I told her not to live out her life in Agarbage and yet she chose this garbage city to be murdered in." "As her father I must avenge my sweet princess Aaliyah." As he turned around he said in a hoarse whisper, "Turn this city to rubble at sunset." All the fiery emotions just left Razoul as he boarded his horse and rode off Aladdin did the same but rode off to the palace.
